Victor Faust’s new Order is growing. Business is good as there is no rest for the wicked in an underground world of hardcore criminals and contract killing. Relationships among the operatives have changed little over the past year—but things are about to change now, and all six high-ranking members of the new Order will be blindsided by an unlikely enemy.

Loved ones whose only ties to Victor’s organization are their relationships with its members, are abducted. The price to get them back safely—the six must confess their deepest, darkest secret to this mysterious young woman named Nora, who is as deadly as she is beautiful, and who seems to know more about each of them than they know about each other. And although no one has any clue about who Nora really is, it becomes clear that she also isn’t who she appears to be.

So much more is at stake than secrets and the lives of innocent loved ones; with each member that Nora forces to confess, the truth about their dark pasts and their present objectives will cast suspicion, pit some against each other, and may tear others apart.

Before the game is over everyone will know who this woman is and why she is here, but the damage she will leave in her wake could be the beginning of the new Order’s destruction.

Whose dark secret will be the darkest of all? And can Victor’s Order survive any of them?

It's been over three years since I began this series, and over two years since I read 'The Swan & The Jackal'. Yet, this series continues to captivate me. Each book feels unique, but leaves me feeling even more intrigued with this misfit group of killers. I can't get enough of them.

This time around, Victor, Izabel and their assassin's order are faced with a mysterious new enemy. She can't be broken and they may have finally met their match. Nora is a trained operative...and she's determined to expose all of their darkest secrets.

One by one, they confess their secrets. All the while, they try to figure out what it is that Nora's really after. It's a race against time, with the lives of their loved ones hanging in the balance. If her demands aren't met, they'll pay the ultimate price.

From start to finish, I was on the edge of my seat. Nora always seemed to be a step ahead of everyone and I couldn't wait to see what she was going to do next. The woman was awe inspiring in a diabolical kind of way. I could definitely relate to Izabel's insecurities when faced with Nora's cool confidence. She was such a badass!

It was painful to hear some of the confessions as they were made...Victor's especially. While there was something that felt so wrong about them being forced to share their most private acts, I loved getting to know more about each of them. After three books, these characters are still virtually unknown to me. This book gave some much needed insight into their inner workings.

When Nora's end game is finally revealed, it was not at all what I expected. She turned their world upside-down. I was shell shocked. I didn't see that coming.

Now that I've finally gotten around to reading this book, I don't think I'll be able to stay away again. I'm going to start the next book immediately. I can't get enough of this series!

Re-read on 6/30: Just as good as the first time! Now onto The Black Wolf :)

6 stars!!

description

Normally I don’t pull this line BUT if you haven’t read at least one book in this series, dear lord you are missing out on some of the best romantic suspense (with dark elements) books out there! Seeds of Iniquity marks the second book in the series that has gotten a 6 star rating from me. With a blend of flawless & brilliant writing, complex & intense characters, and exhilarating & amazeballs twists, this story was one unputdownable, giant thrill ride that didn’t end until I got to the last page. So many themes from previous books will be explored, loyalties will be tested, rules will be broken, and love will be questioned.

description

One of my biggest worries when I picked this book up was whether or not I needed to re-read the previous books to refresh my memory. But as soon as I picked it up and started reading, I immediately reconnected with these characters. Izabel’s impulsiveness, Victor’s cool & calm demeanor, Fredrik’s um…ordeal from the previous book all came rushing back to me. The beauty of this book is that the book layout and the way events unfold will refresh your memory of the past books and at the same time, introduce a new story. The only thing you need to know about the plot is that a mysterious and deadly woman Nora is forcing Victor, Izabel, and the rest of the Order to give up their deepest buried secrets after some of their family/friends are kidnapped. As detached as some of these characters are, all of them are connected to each other and indirectly, to their loved ones who they just can’t ignore, so they acquiesce to Nora’s requirements while secretly planning retaliation.

description

This entire series and this book in particular is equally character-driven and plot-driven, something that’s extremely rare to find in most books. As much as this book is about Izabel and Victor, it’s also about the side characters like Fredrik and Niklas and their stories, all woven together into one. At times the story does take a turn for the dark, and will be disturbing, haunting, and heartbreaking, but the heartfelt romance sprinkled throughout the pages balances it out.

description

Cutting-edge suspense and complex characters make for a lethal combination and with me being heavily invested in these characters since book 1, this series is one of my favorite to date even though not all of the books were complete winners for me. I’m pretty sure that there will be more books in this series (what I’m hoping for) but even if it ends here with this 4th book, I’m one happy reader. This author has a penchant for ending each of the books in this series in a way where it both entices me for more stories yet satisfies me if it’s the end.

Seeds of Iniquity is book 4 in this series and not a standalone! You must read books 1-3 first as they set up the groundwork for the events in this book.

Wow, this sure is not a romance and love series. It’s about unforgettable characters, violence, killing, torture and a shadowy world that I know nothing about.

Once again, the author amazes me with her beautiful writing and the way she brings these characters to life and gets you on their side is simply astonishing.

The 4th book in the In the Company of Killers and is one of the darkest so far.
Most of the story happens in one place, where an unknown killer named Nora is being held prisoner and tortured for information by Victor Faust's Order.
 photo maxresdefault_zpsvqje80ro.jpg

Nora is beyond kick-ass….beautiful, blonde and totally lethal. Her grit and endurance under the most horrific torture is unbelievable. She does not break that easily.
 photo fdec49a1e19e8026fc673b9ba1b7b6a7_zpsoltbowqm.jpg

What she does is getting people to reveal their secrets….Izabel, Victor, Niklas, Dorian – all have something in their past that we never imagined. Do we really know someone?

Compelling, violent, dark and bloody addictive. I can’t get enough!!!

What a ride…..the epilogue just left me wondering where this series will go next.

I love this series! It's suspenseful, thrilling and fast-paced. Victor and his order are faced with a new enemy. Nora, a beautiful, but deadly blonde seems to have dirt on each of them and plans to force them to confess their secrets to each other.

"Each of you has a deep, dark secret," she begins, "something you may be ashamed of, or regret, or may be haunted by because it was so awful this thing you did that your conscience can't escape it."

I'm not going to go into the plot, because I feel like it's better to experience the ride. Seeds of Iniquity was full of revelations and twist. These characters are so complex, I never know what to expect, but I enjoy every minute.

** MY NON-SPOILER SERIES REVIEW https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVyN9... **

First Read: September 13 2015
Second Read: April 2016
Third Read: April 2018

Second review thoughts: I mean, I love these characters. I'm sticking with my 5 star rating. I am completely amazed at the pacing and how Jessica builds tension in this installment. It reads like one of those season finales of a tv show. Damn. Just, everything in this book. I first fell in love with Nora the first time I read this and she's still my favorite badass female character of all time. I'll argue and educate you if you think you can argue me on this.

”What is happening to us? To all of us.”

This series is so thrilling and once again J.A. Redmerksi delivers an edge of your seat read that has all the members of Victor’s Order confessing their secrets to a gorgeous ruthless blonde who has a few of their loved ones kidnapped.

This gorgeous blonde is a killer born and bred and she has every member of this Order confessing while showing small breaks in their group and exposing a waterfall of emotions in her wake.

description

This woman has Izabel questioning her own abilities as well as Victor’s capacity to love her and whether she is a liability to the group and to Victor.

”Things would be better for you if I was …more like Nora, wouldn’t they?”

Victor is large and in charge and oh so swoon worthy with Izabel…

description

Other members of the group such as Niklas, James, Dorian and Fredrik are all left exposed while the author skillfully sets her audience up for the next book in the series. The plot has indeed thickened and I’ll be not so patiently awaiting more.

The characters in this series are uniquely written and although they are all killers ranging in degrees of humanity I love them all. This was truly an exciting read that will have your heart pumping fast while the story unfolds.

Reread December 2017

Hmm... I think there's a chance . Fredrik's dental chair 💺💉💀. I'm patiently waiting on book 7, crossing my fingers it will be on January (early).

One thing is for sure. I don't ship Izabel with Niklas. Bwahaha! Izabel x Victor forever ❤️😈

-----------------------------

"Each of you has a deep, dark secret. Something you may be ashamed of, or regret, or may be haunted by because it was so awful this thing you did that your conscience can't escape it."

Unbelievably amazing. This series is so consistent, entertaining, intense and gripping. Once again, I'm on the edge of my seat and I'm seriously addicted with it. Things are getting bigger and better in the Order. Victor Faust and his members in the organization are doing a great job on hunting targets until they got vulnerable when Nora Kessler kidnapped all those people who mattered outside their business. Victor, Izabel, Niklas, Woodard, Fredrik and Dorian need to confess their darkest secret in order to spare their lives.

It's CONFESSION TIME.
description

Nora Kessler is a beautiful badass blonde killer who is never to be underestimated at all cost.. I swear this woman has a great research and manipulating skills. With her inquisitive mind, she will dig everything and let it out of you. She just knows how to break everyone's fucking walls even the toughest one is no match.
description

Holy crap. I am dumbfounded by this woman. Talk about the twists and mindfuck. I wasn't sure if I'm going to really love her because of her well-played skills or hate her after what she did to all the characters. There is no chill in this series. It's so legit that I want to see this on screen whether it's TV or Movie adaptation. Overall, it's fantastic and I loved it! I'm definitely giving this 5 stars.

PS.
* I still adore Izabel Seyfried and Victor Faust. OTP

"I know I'm not your first anything, but I hope that I'll be your last everything "

I have to start with how much I'm in love with ALL the covers of this series!! but this one may be my favorite of theme all.

Oh. My. Gosh. I don't know what to say, honestly. Like, my mind is blown. So many unexpected things. Just mind-boggling. And Emily? Is it just wistful thinking or is she hopefully Fredriks possible HEA????

We are introduced to a new killer with her crazy story and plan that I was completely enthralled with, she pushes all of our characters to the brink (minus Fredrick, poor poor Fredrick he passed his brink last book, I believe)

Nora is fantastic. She was a one woman wrecking ball. You would not want to meet her in a dark alley. Loved how strong and in control she was even when at a disadvantage. She has to stay for the rest of the series.

In the other hand , I couldn't stand Sarai in this book.Where the hell had gone my strong, fierce, smart women? I truly felt she wasn't meant to be a killer. She makes them weak, she made them up their game. She also changed the relationships and trust between everyone .
I can't wait for the next book , and I hope with all my heart that Frederik will have his HEA with Emily .The guy really deserve it.

I'm not even going to write a proper review. My thoughts....

I expected no less. This series is incredible.

"Being a killer is hard. It’s hard not just because of the obvious, but because in living this kind of life, you don’t just kill criminals and enemies and targets…you also kill everything and everyone you love."

Oh and Fredrik?.......

5+++++++++ I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH STARS

Okay, first off, I was scared by the reviews. I love J.A. Redmerski, she’s the type of author I will read ANTYHING by so when I read the mixed reviews. I was apprehensive at first. I just didn’t want to be disappointment.

I WAS AMAZED, SHOCKED, IN AWED, LOVED

This was a fantastic read and if you need something to slap you on the head and make you go crazy with good angst then SEEDS of INIQUITY is for you.

I was surprised on how short this one was, but in all honesty it was perfect, just the right amount of Izabel and Victor. Seeds of Iniquity had a little bit of mixture of all the characters in Victor’s new Order, but this is mostly Victor and Izabel’s story.

I would tell you to read this without knowing anything, but if you must know, the story starts out with Nora. Nora kidnapped people who are related to the people in the Order. She’s held captive by Victor’s people and now Victor has to find out where the captives are.

Nora only wants one thing. She wants to learn everyone’s secrets. She will talk to each person in the order, once she is done learning each one’s darkest secrets, she will tell them where she held the captives.

It’s a simple plot and it makes such a great read. As each person goes in to talk to Nora, everyone will go out a little different. You will learn everyone’s secrets. I was on the edge of my seat THE ENTIRE TIME. I felt like I couldn’t take any more intense emotions, but I kept on reading because I couldn’t put it down.

If you love this series as much as me, you will get everything you are looking for. You will get more glimpses to each character and the buildup for the next book.

If you have not started this series or this book, then stop what you are doing and read this NOW

4 What the Freaking Hell Nora Stars

"Each of you has a deep, dark secret."

description

Victor Faust is trying to establish his new Order.
The only thing that can shake this new foundation is its members. Willingly? No, never.
But when loved ones are kidnapped and the price that the mysterious Nora demands, is for each of them to admit his darkest secret, they might not have a choice. Loyalties will be tested, lives will be threatened and nothing will be ever the same.

And most of all, what is Nora's secret?

description

And can the Order survive what she did to them?

"Can our organization - our family - recover from what Nora Kessler did, or what she played a very large hand in doing?"

description

This book marks a transition. A time of change. Forget what you knew. Reset and play again. Niklas and Isabel baring their souls, Dorian and Fredrik unbending and somehow broken, Victor and his endgame and Nora of course the master manipulator and catalyst to the change. I tore my hair out while reading this book and bit my nails off. I can't wait to read the next!

5 Stars!
Secrets are coming out all over the place in this book. Some I was totally shocked and others I had a gut feeling about. I couldn't help but love Nora. Her and her game of truth was very clever!
I couldn't help but be pissed off at Dorian either! Ugh!!! WTF Dorian?!?!
I was a little disappointed that most of the book is told in Izabel's POV. I wanted more of this groups POV. I want more of this series now!!
Of course she leaves us with Fredrik's POV at the end. I wish I wouldn't of read it! (Not really! lol) All it did was leave me sitting here dying for more of him! lol
I can't wait to see where the next book takes us!! I have it marked this time so I will not forget!!

Although I willingly and excitedly dove into this volume of murder and mayhem, I must admit that I was a little disappointed with the way some characters were portrayed :(

Izabel went from being a badass-in-training to a whiny little bitch. She irritated, annoyed and aggravated me. I ended up wanting to hear from her less than I did. I really just wanted more of anyone else. She was in the company of infamous assassins but kept pulling what amounted to the equivalent of a temper tantrum.

tantrum

Who was gonna take that shit seriously??? Why did she keep questioning her contribution to The Order??? She's only been with them for about a year. Meanwhile all of them have been doing this thing THEIR WHOLE LIVES, which she's reminded of time and time again. She will never compare and needs to get over it!

Now Nora... she's a real badass bitch and she shone brightly right along with Victor, Niklas and Fredrik. Now don't think I don't still love me some Izabel because I do. She just wasn't shown in the greatest light in this book. I hope in the next book she grows a pair and woman's up. She needs to stop feeling inferior or less than, she needs to stop questioning everything because everything ain't her damn business, and she needs to take some serious notes from Nora. Oh and stop doubting my baby Victor because he's freaking AWESOME!!

So everyone's deepest, darkest secrets have been revealed and I was incredibly shocked by ALL of them. Betrayals were highlighted and there's a rift in The Order. I can't even imagine what's going to happen next.

5+ Lets Play a Game... Stars!!!

 photo imagejpg1_zps84199e84.jpg

Things have been going well, as far as the organization is concerned. Business as usual. Izabel and the four other men, with one still MIA, are handling jobs with ease.

That is until the group gets word that some loved ones are now missing. The only clue left in the wake of their absence is a note advising them to meet at a specific location, otherwise the captives will be killed. When the team arrives to their destination, they find one lone woman. This woman is beautiful, sharp, tough, and an overall badass bitch. Who is this mysterious woman, and what does she want?

 photo imagejpg2_zpsa4f96472.jpg
"I've never been face to face with a female version of myself. It is intriguing."

Meet Nora. She has a little game that she wants to play. She has a lot of information about the members, and her plan is going to get them all to confess their darkest secrets, or their loved ones will die. She holds all the cards, and she wants answers.

Will everyone give Nora what she's asking for? What are her motives?

What she has up her sleeve may break everything apart for the organization.

Glass breaking photo: breaking glass tumblr_m8eizgPCHV1qcwspzo1_500_zpsc7116113.gif

I admit, when I saw that this came out, I didn't even read the description (and still haven't). It wasn't necessary. After loving everything in this series, there was no doubt in my mind that I was just going to just jump on in and adore everything. And I absolutely did.

It seems like each one of the books in ITCoK, has an overall theme. This one was very deep, mentally and character psyche-driven. You get a better understanding for most of the characters when some secrets are revealed. Going into this, there was one person I absolutely was smitten with, and another one I could probably take or leave. After all things came out, my feelings for them kind of switched. The one I swooned for in the beginning had let me down, and I became a big fan of my 'meh' character. I was very shocked by this actually. Who knew? This installment definitely brings out more of their personalities, which I think gives them more depth than the cold-blooded killers we've come to love.

And then there was Nora. Nora, Nora, Nora.... The whole time, I didn't know if I wanted to punch her in the face, or run out and get BFF necklaces with her. After finishing this, I'm still not sure about what I'd lean more towards. She was such a dynamic character, and I really enjoyed the road this took with her in it. A true anti-heroine. Her presence brought out a lot of issues for everyone that were just simmering on the back burner. Jealousy, deception, admiration, inadequacy, and doubt, were some of the feelings that Nora's existence fed. Lots of drama!

And you can't forget about one of my all time favorite couples. Victor and Izabel are not your typical duo in the usual romance genre, and you get more from this renegade pair as they deal with revelations within their relationship. The hard and calculated Victor will make you pant.

 photo imagejpg3_zps3fdcc9af.jpg

I could go on and on about how great this series is. So if you haven't started this series yet, I suggest you get on it, because it's amazing. J A Redmerski does a fabulous job of keeping you on the edge of your seat and devouring the lives of these ruthless characters.

Excited to see where this is going, as this is not the end for our beloved Order. Highly anticipating more from everyone, especially Fredrik (love that man).

Can't wait for the next book! Until then...

Intense, suspenseful, and riveting. Seeds of Iniquity marks the 4th book of In The Company of Killers.

“Love makes a person vulnerable, even the most skilled, most intelligent, most unbreakable human being. It’s just how things are. None of us can help it. Some are better at controlling it than others…”

A new player enters the game, Nora Kessler.

description

She’s manipulative, calculating, and beautiful. Victor and his Order have 48 hours to confess their darkest secrets to this mysterious woman, or lives will be taken. The question is why? What is her motive? I can’t say too much about Nora without spilling crucial details, but she’s gutsy and has the intelligence to back it up. I like her.

All of the Killers make an appearance in this book. Izabel is still hotheaded and impetuous, her uninhibited emotions and humanity make her vulnerable, but at the same time I admire her reckless passion. She has a long way to go but she’s starting to open her eyes to the indisputable reality of living as an Order operative. She perceives her strengths and weaknesses, which I’m sure will take a pivotal role in future books.

“I was born into this,” I say to him sternly; my finger pressing into the center of his chest, “to adapt to my enemy—that is my weapon.”

description

Victor MOTHER TRUCKIN’ Faust. I love this man. He’s cold and cruel, but not entirely heartless. He’s a complex predator, you never really know what he’s planning unless you’re in his head. One thing is for certain: his love for Izabel.

“Izabel—look into my eyes and tell me that you don’t see a man who would do anything for you. Tell me, with that uncanny ability you have to read others, that you don’t see a man who is in love with you, who would kill for you…and a man who would die for you.”

I love the fact that he remained true to his character despite allowing Izabel into his heart. He didn’t suddenly turn into a love struck fool. Yes, he does make slight allowances for Izabel but he’s still a calculating Killer to the core. On his libra scale he’s weighing sins and forgiveness. (As Wayne would say...) But how long can he keep this up?

description

How long will you allow yourself to cut corners for me, Victor?

How long will you take the alternate route just to keep me out of harm’s way?

We learn a lot more about Dorian and Niklas, secrets are revealed, and let’s just say shit hits the fan. Fredrik is back! Still doing what he does best. *coughingmakingpeoplecry* I don’t know how I feel about the present part of the epilogue. Of course I want to see more of my favorite torturer

The plot twists will drive you nuts and the beautifully written action scenes will leave you in awe. Critical secrets are revealed and seeds are planted, I can’t wait to see where the story will go next! J.A. Redmerski is truly a master suspense/thriller writer.

Hele hele Izabel’in o itirafı…

UZUN LAFIN KISASI BEN HER TÜRLÜ MERAKIMDAN KIVRANIYORUM YAHU!

description “You are beautiful, Izabel. Your defiance provokes me. Your mouth infuriates me. Your obsession with independence makes me question everything you do. But I love every single thing about you.” He tilts his head slightly; his eyes regarding me quietly for a moment—my stomach flutters and my heart starts to break. “I know I’m not your first anything, but I hope that I’ll be your last everything. ”

description “You need love to survive, Fredrik,” I say with harsh conviction. “You’re this dark, frightening man who is so cold on the outside that Hell would freeze over if you were ever sent there…but on the inside, you’re a broken man who needs love more than anyone because of the life you were forced to live, because of the horrific things you were forced to endure.” I shake my head with sadness in my heart. “You need love more than anything because it’s the one thing you’ve been deprived. You shove me away because I meant something to you, because out of all of us here, you thought of me as family. You shut me out because of how many times love destroyed you. ”

This is going to be short and sweet.

I have had this book forever. I finally had made the time to read it. The push came with Behind the Hands That Kill (In the Company of Killers #6) releasing soon. (YAY) because, VICTOR!

And yes, I loved S.o.I. It was the 8th book I have read by J. A. Redmerski. It is this genre and style I love the most by her and it is here where she is at her best, IMHO. So now I am off to read The Black Wolf (In the Company of Killers #5) because OMGAWD VICTOR will be here sometime this weekend!

Original review: The Daydreaming Bookworm

After having to take a mini break from the series, I was ready to jump back in to the madness, and let me tell you, the fourth installment to the In the Company of Killers series is a MADNESS! Welcome to Wonderland folks, except less color and sunshine and more gloom and death.

Victor Fraust and his crew of killer assassins are back, but there world is about to turn upside down when an unlikely enemy starts trouble. Nora Kessler, a woman with many secrets, has kidnapped the loved ones of our fellow assassins and in order to get them back, they will have to confess their darkest sins. One by one, they will tell their truths, and slowly but surely, the games begin. Which member of Victor’s Order will crack first? And which confession will turn allies into enemies?

GOD DAMMIT, REDMERSKI HAS DONE IT AGAIN! This book was utter perfection and my mind was BLOWN! I simply could not put it down and stayed up until the wee hours of the morning to finish it.

Nora Kessler is one BADASS assassin. The crew has definitely met their match and taking her down will not be easy. I can’t say too much about the plot because that would give away too many spoilers, but my heart was racing a million miles an hour as I read confession after confession. The thing is, I wasn’t even expecting any of these confessions. Some of these confessions had me questioning if I ever really knew these characters at all. Again with the MINDF—. You think you’ve learned everything about this crew, and yet they still manage to surprise me every time.

I have to say my favorite part has to be seeing the way Izabel reacted to Nora. Izzy comes off as a strong and fearless woman in the previous books, but her insecurities start to show in this book. She is intimidated by Nora. She wants to be her, yet at the same time, she wants to slit her throat open. These two have such a strange connection and while I’m all for girl power, I think this relationship falls more along the lines of ‘keep your friends close and your enemies closer.’

Victor and Izzy’s relationship is also put to the test in this book. You start to see the cracks in their relationship and Victor is definitely hiding something. There is a disconnect and honestly, it SCARES ME so much because these two are my power couple and I don’t want to see this ship sink. These two have gone to hell and back and I swear if Victor fucks this up, well let’s just say:

description

This book was intense, like a roller coaster ride that got stuck and everyone is hanging upside down not know what is going to happen next. Lines are drawn and relationships will be put to the test. Grab your oxygen masks people, your gonna need it!

Soooo who is the mystery character to turn "The Order" up-side-on-it's-head!!! Well you'll have to read it to find out!!

I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoyed #Book 4 it was bloody amazin!! Definitely up there, as one of my favourite reads this year!!

Once again J.A. Redmerksi sucker punched me with her awesome latest addition to this incredible dark, suspenseful series!!

Victor and his order are faced with a new enemy - one that rip's through the very heart of the group with devastating consequences.

All I know is...I want more, LIKE NOW!!! Brilliant - read it!!

“My name is Nora,” she announces, “and for now, since I’m clearly the one in control, that’s all any of you need to know.”

Ohhh, boys and girls...Nora Kessler is here and she's about the turn this Company of Killers on their freakin' asses!!

Well, I completely devoured this book in less than 24 hours. Everything that has already been said in the other reviews is true: this series gets better and better and if you haven't picked it up yet, you are seriously missing out.

I will say that at the beginning of this book, I was all, who the hell is this character Nora Kessler and why the hell does she (basically) get her own book? This series, though, does not follow any conventional rules. It's pretty much unpredictable. But somehow, it works.

The web continues to weave and the intricacies and complexities of these characters grows further.

This series is more plot driven rather than it is romantic love story driven. Each book is not about a different couple and their individual journey to finding love. Normally, this would annoy the shit out of me. But here, somehow, it TOTALLY fucking works. Just like me with Game of Thrones... in any other circumstance, period pieces, dragons....errr NO...but somehow, it works and kicks ass working!!! But, I digress...

The series has shifted a bit. Now, if anything, the objective is about ruling The Order. And who will rule The Order. But it is about SOOOOOOO much more. With every book, layers upon layers are added to these characters. And it's all about the real life emotions that we see in these characters who are supposed to be emotionless.

"Love makes a person vulnerable, even the most skilled, most intelligent, most unbreakable human being."

Just BRILLIANT!!!!!! Un-putdownable, explosive, kick ass, addicting.

I can't wait to see where this series goes next. And, ahhhh, I believe The Black Wolf is Niklas's book, and if so, BRING IT!!! He and Fredrik are my favorites. <3

I would have liked to have seen a smidgen more romance in this particular installment (there was even less than usual). That was my only minor complaint. But otherwise...PERFECTION.

* This review is posted on Way Too Hot Books. *

Seeds of Iniquity is book 4 in the Company of Killers series and is, in my humble opinion, the best one so far. It was well plotted out and we have real character development. I think that with each book this series continues to get better.

Nora Kessler. The main reason I enjoyed this installment so much is the appearance of a new character. And not just any character. Enter Nora – kickass, fierce new female in the gang. I have to say I’m quite pleased we got another female in the series. Izabel was getting lonely. Nora is a very good addition and the book was all the more interesting because of her presence.

Speaking of Izabel, the only reason I was annoyed sometimes while reading is her POV. I was never her biggest fan, but here she really rubbed me the wrong way when she was acting insecure or like a crazy, jealous girlfriend.

But generally speaking, I’m satisfied with how Seeds of Iniquity turned out to be. It was suspenseful – who is Nora and what does she ultimately wants? What secrets will the six of them reveal? I feel like we really got to know them; we find out more about Dorian and Niklas, even Victor.

Even though Fredrik is kind of my favorite, I was very curious about Niklas. From book #1 in fact, when we didn’t know should we love him, should we hate him, should we trust him? There’s something intriguing about his carefree manner and I hope that more attention is given to him in the future books.

Furthermore, as some readers may or may not know, Seeds of Iniquity was actually supposed to be a Fredrik & Seraphina prequel and I was excited about that. But now, I think this was even better because we still got glimpses into everyone’s past, but the story moves forward. And I’m very curious where the story will go on. I loved that the ending leaves some things to guessing and destinies of certain characters are left vague.

Overall, Seeds of Iniquity is a very good installment and the main reason I loved it is because it leaves me eager about the future of the Company of Killers.
