VERY nice graphics. But there's no comprehendable story. I can make NO sense of who the characters are or what the storyline is. There is just too little of it to provide anything like the information necessary to build an intelligible story. The disconnected spurts of text give NO followable story. It's like reading every 50th page of a book ... or the author has a sever case of ADD.
This is a good starter comic short and has a good grabbing story line. I would recommend this to anyone who like abstract comic art. although you don't get too really know the main character in the few scenes you get I'm willing to give it a try.
Let's face it, Fathom has some wonderful eye candy. That is why it always catches my eye. But all I really know about the series is that it involves a race (races?) of underwater dwellers. I also think that that at least one character is some mix of underwater and land dweller. Unlike a lot of eye candy comics, there seems to be a lot of script so there must be some story there. But for me, it boils down to scantily clad comic book hotties.( Sorry but I at least admit to being a pig at times.)
So I can definitely say this works for me. While I can not be sure, it also looks like it should appeal to fans. But I am guessing this story(preview) can be found elsewhere as well and it would probably be better to go with the longer version.
A new species humanoid has been found on Earth. Alas humankind's fear and perhaps curiosity cause misunderstandings and experimentation.
While this is a good premise to story, it takes the entire comic to be told and some parts are a little lacking, but there is promise for future editions.
The illustrations are heavily detailed adding depth.
Sorry, but I only got this because I needed a graphic novel for a Goodreads challenge. It was also free on Amazon, thank goodness! I'm much more of a classics, historical fiction, history type. One star is all I could muster for the graphic art. Story line? Can we give minus stars?
I love the art and the storyline, it's all around a good graphic novel. But I do wish that the text was a bit bigger and little my prominent. but that might also be my kindle. so all together this is a great read!!!
I really like the artwork and I find the premise intriguing. It is difficult to read on kindle. The font is a bad choice, font color is yellow, and most of the dialogue boxes had a light spot in the corner.
Unfortunately, the writing was difficult to read on my kindle, since it would only allow a vertical format, and the artist used a central gradient that lightened in the middle. Not quite enough story for me to care to buy anymore
