The ghoulfriends' new GFF, Wydowna Spider, starts to clear the cobwebs about the mysterious threat to Monster High. The previous generation of monsters formed a secret society that seems bent on turning the school into something that's more like a prison! But when Rochelle Goyle, Robecca Steam, and Venus McFlytrap uncover a second ancient group of monsters...the fate of the student disembody is in their hands!
Gitty Daneshvari was born in Los Angeles to an Iranian father and an American mother. As a child she talked incessantly, feeling the need to comment on everything around her. While at first charmed by her verbose nature, her family soon tired of the constant commenting. This is how she found writing — it was better than talking since she didn't even need anyone else to do it with.
She currently lives in New York City and yes she still talks too much.
I know a lot of people may not be fans of this series, but I find it quite entertaining. It is for the younger side of the fandom, but it gives more insight into the world of Monster High amd I can't wait for the next installment.
I got into the Monster High franchise relatively late and they've discontinued it. I'll find a doll at Dollar General or see an activity book, but I know I've missed my chance. I've seen all of the movies and now I've finished the book series. I don't count the Lisa Harrison one because it's rubbish. The fourth book seemed unnecessary and didn't clear up anything. We got more information of the spider ghoul Wydowna, but nothing on her motivations or history. It was hinted about Robecca Steam's father may be still alive but alas no closure. I love all the monster iterations and the "freaky" friendship. I finally have to say goodbye to this era and hope someday they choose to revive it. Sayonara, scary babies!
Meh, I was actually hoping for this series to be over by now. It was a good book, but sorry, I am just tired of it a bit.
The story about ASOME and the normies has been going on and on for 4 books now, each book has a new something happening so that our trio can save the day once again. This time people get kidnapped and ASOME makes their moves. Of course, we also find out more about ASOME, about the people in it, and those who stand against it. But it really frustrated me, a lot of stuff was so obvious, yet it took everyone in the book ages to finally see the light and understand what was going on. I had a few close moments where I wanted to shout at the book. For them to hurry up, and why can't anyone see what is going on!!!!!
With each passing page I was hoping the story would be wrapped up, but then came the last part of the book and I knew we would have at least 1 or 2 more books to go about this whole thing. Next time it seems we will get closer to a certain someone's dad. Not that I am highly interested in it, or anything on the moment. I will probably still read the book, as I want to know how it ends, but I might just wait until I know for sure the series is actually over.
The characters were fun once again. It was really nice seeing them again. I loved their little personality traits and how close they are as friends.
Cleo and that other girl, dear Lord, those two are horrendous. Throughout the book they annoy not only me, but also everyone else in the whole school. Teachers, students and others.
I really liked the illustrations that were added to the book, it gave the book some extra liveliness.
Would I recommend this book? I am not entirely sure. With all that happened in here, I would say yes and no. If you don't mind a book that just keeps going on and on, dragging its dead story with it through now 4 books, then I would say read it. If you don't like that, I would say wait until the series is finished.
I did like this read, and I'd rate it 3.5*. Overall, I felt like it dragged on and on, which is sad for a book less than 250-pages-long. In general, I feel like the Lisi Harrison MH books are much better than these. But, I did find myself wishing--regardless of the fact that I was glad this series is over--that there was one more book. I got attached to the characters, but not the writing. --------------------- Cleo's father kidnapping her was a dumb idea. Miss Flapper running her mouth off at the very end, so that the MH trio could go save the headmistress, along with Wydowna and Cleo, was awesome. I felt saddened that Robecca's father was not there with them, but loved the surprise ending. I wish the surprise ending could be elaborated more in another book, since I really wanted Robecca to be reunited with her father.
I think it’s Sue Nami. I’ve been spelling it wrong.
Ghoulfriends Til The End It takes off where the last book left off. All the students are in a state of pandemonium and racing back into the school as Mrs. Tsumi calls a “Code Dead”. Robecca, Rochelle, and Venus tho stand there and wait for Wydona to confess. Rochelle whispers to Venus that she should use her pollen of n her but Wydona says it won’t work on her (and spiders btw have good hearing). Rpchelle believes Wydonana has a good heart and tries to find out who she and Mrs. Flapper are working for. Wydona says that ASOME is powerful, has moles everywhere, and will do anything to protect the higher hierarchy. She’s about to tell them more, but is tackled by vampires and carried away in the crowd.
They and T’Sumani. Petra, and Scare It, Fred, look for Wydona on the inside but no one can find her. They even think one of the normies might have taken her to raise the stakes. One of the parents saw a blueprint of the wall and a yearbook with certain people circled. Rochelle asks if she can see either of these, but Petra scolds her and says they won’t be showing her any of these. Petra and Tsunami go back and forth over this. T’Sunami wants to see the yearbook and map also. But Petra thinks it could prompt the normies to do something else.
Later in the Creepateria, they all wonder if the ones on the list are behind ASOME, but then they quickly dismiss the idea. All the people on the list live in the Boo World. Each of them (Robecca, Rochelle, and Venus) dream of Wydona that night. Rochelle has an idea the next morning. She says what if she left behind silky threads for them to find, but they have to move quickly before the strands blow away. They look around the school grounds but don’t find any of Wydona’s strands.
There will be a town hall meeting and the three decide they should sneak in. On the day of the meeting, . Jinni Fire invites them over for a self-defense lesson (after they have a Frightinglae meeting). Mrs.Flapper is there in an outfit they conclude could only have been created by Wydowna. Mrs. Flapper confirms this. She says she made it for her before she was taken. She thi again says she thinks the normies took her just like they tried to take Mrs. Bloodgood and attempted to take her. On the way to the meeting, they see Cy walking with Mrs. Flapper. Venus immediately suspects Cy, but Rochelle and Robecca say they should give him a chance to explain. When they confront Cy, he says Mrs. Flapper asked that he escort her to the meeting for safety. Plus he was trying to see if she’d say anything helpful. They find out she’s worried Wydowna might have told them something.
They sneak in through an air duct from the roof. Scare-It-Fred and Petera are vague on the details of which normie they spoke with and only say the wall will be going up soon and they won’t answer any questions about why a border was put up. They all discuss their options. Some want to just leave and find a more monster-friendly community. Mrs. Flapper brings up the secret organization ASOME and she says they’ll come to their word and help protect them. Dracula says it’s too iffy. He’s from the Old World and he knows their ways aren’t always on the level. But she brings up Dracularua’s safety and then asks whose with her and the other parents stand up. Ramses is on Dracula’s side, but at school, Cleo says he was on the side of ASOME. Incidentally they see him at school (Dracula) and try to question him about ASOME but he tells them not to worry about it.
All the students jump on the bandwagon and become ASOME supporters. The trio tries to go to Sue Na Mi with their concerns but she won’t go against what everyone else thinks about the normies. She tells them if they give her some proof she’ll be on their side. That night, they decide during the people rally they’ll storm the stage and get their classmates to see the truth. If not they’ll run like hell! At least they’ll try to convince them to dig deeper into ASOME. In class, they find an old key in the dirt At the assembly, the superintendents announce a new program and choose a representative (along with Mrs. Flapper) to speak to ASOME. Rochelle, Robecca, and Venus try to speak out at the assembly but Petra tries to have them removed. A voice speaks up. It’s Dracula. He says he’s trying to stop the worst thing that happened to the monster community. The rest of the parents are with him. They said they have a secret to tell. One that they’ve guarded for a long time. Mrs. Flapper tries to stop them but since they’re all respected members of the community they’re allowed to continue.
ASOME stands for Ancient Society Of (the Monster Elite. Dracula says it’s a ruling class of mummies, vampires, werewolves, and ghosts. He and Ramses used to be members but disagreed with the group and felt that all monsters were created equal. They then came to the Boo World. Together they worked with others to keep ASOME out of the Boo World and their members of another group of united monsters. They then acknowledge Robecca’s father and Bloodgood who helped them create MH. The says he’s positive Bloodgood would not support ASOME. Mrs. Flapper speaks up for ASOME and the others start to debate. Robecca is amazed that her father was one of the founders of MH and asks if they knew what happened to her father, but unfortunately, they don’t. Ramses does say that Hexachia was supposed to meet him in the catacombs but never showed up. After it’s over, they see Mrs. Flapper crying (later). She says Cleo and Toreli were abducted by normies. She says the only good part is now Ramses is on the side of ASOME.
Cleo’s aunt supposedly saw this. They talk about it later and think maybe she saw other monsters and just thought they were normies. Or either Cleo’s aunt is working with ASOME. Her dad did say she was partial to some of their ways. Venus says if only there was a way to get thei normie mayor to say he wasn’t behind these kidnappings and this wall. They talk about digging a tunnel but then Robecca says she might know of a tunnel that leads to the normie’s town. But their teacher (Mr. Mummy) says the tunnel has long since been boarded up. He tells them the location tho.
Cy offers to go to the mayor's office to find evidence. Cy is gone for over two hours but he finally returns. He spent most of the time trying to find the mayor's office. Surprisingly he wasn’t shocked to see Cy. He spent time at a normie-monster camp. He did get the video. The next day there’s a Claws and Gauze summit in honor of Celo and Toreli. Ramses speaks on his fear that his daughter (and Toreli) won’t be returned. Mrs. Flapper speaks again to support ASOME. The normies mayor speaks and he says the rumors aren’t true. They planned to extend an invite to the monsters to their fall festival. The superintendent is upset that Ranses was the one that said he saw the normie's plans for the wall and meet with the mayor. Robecca calls him out for working with ASOME and says her father would be disappointed in him. He says her father made that very clear.’
I’m not even sure how to sum this last part up. So Tab B (uh Toreli’s mom?) says they wouldn’t be in this situation if Mrs. Flapper had pulled the whisper off like she was supposed to. Then Mrs. Flapper says atleast she didn’t kidnap her own child. Then Ramses says no she just kidnapped their intern after properly failing to control her. Then Tab B tells Ramses Wdyonma is in the maze with Blood good and “his divas” having a good ol time. Then they’re all arrested. They wonder where the old maze is and Sue says it’s behind the new one. Robecca hopes her father will be there. Sue apologizes to Robecca, Venus, and Rochelle. Then Jina Fire and Skelita apologize for following MRs. Flapper. But they tell them they know they have good hearts. They rescue everyone but Hexiciah isn’t there. Rochelle and Venus hug her and tell her they won’t give up.
While renovating her closet, Cleo comes across a box that has information that will lead to Hexiciah and she gives it to Robecca to make up for her father’s wrongdoings.
My Thoughts I wondered why it took me so long to want to read this. It just sat and sat and sat in my e-reader. It drug this plot out about ASOME for two whole books and then it rushed through it in a couple of paragraphs at the end. Then one of the great things that I use to love about MH was that each character (doll) was so thoroughly created. There personalities. Their outfits. There pets. Until they started to get watered down because people have a problem with them. I felt like I really didn’t get a sense of this new character (Wydona) at all, It just felt like she was thrown into the story to be a spy. This story was never really told except she thought she was helping other monsters. This *could* have been included in the story to give her more background. All we really got was she was an amazing clothes creator. And even years later, I still wonder if anyone ever fouond Hexichiah or it a mystery that never gets solved.

After how much the last two books dragged on, I was hoping for a big final resolution in this one to tie up all the lose ends. However, I found the ending pretty lackluster. The majority of the resolution has the individuals behind everything incriminating themselves, with the main characters doing one simple thing to foil their plan. For how long it took to set the story up, the ending was not very satisfying. It felt rushed and not well laid out. It's obvious that most of this series was filler for a rather simplistic story that should have been told in two books.
On top of that, despite this being the final book, it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger with the promise of a short story in Monster High: Ghoulfriends The Ghoul-It-Yourself Book for resolution. After four books of constant filler and nonsense conversations, I am ready to be done with this series and the fact everything wasn't resolved makes this more of a disappointment.
Still, as with the other books, I enjoyed the illustrations and artwork. They add a great feel to the book although the formatting appeared slightly off in this one with the artwork at the start of the last two chapters seemingly to have been mixed up.
This series had a cool idea for a story, but it was too slow with too much filler to enjoy fully. Okay read overall that was quick and easy, but rather lackluster in the end.
There are only 3 reasons I read this book #1 I want to finish my reading goal for this year and it's getting down to the wire, so, I needed something short or at least a quick read. #2 I got a bad head cold, was still in the reading mood, but, knew that I couldn't read anything that would take too much thinking. Again, I needed a quick and simple read. YA books are great for that. #3 My daughter recommended it as my sick day book. Which is how I get/read books I would normally never even look at. Found some great reads that way.
Before anyone asks, nope, I haven't read the first 3 in this series, so, I was just thrust into the world and what was going on. Okay, that wasn't so bad, I could sort of figure out what everyone was - the pictures helped - and even had an idea of what the first 3 books were about, so, I wasn't that lost in this world. Much to my surprise, I actually liked this story, it was a fun and quick read. However, I would have given this a higher rating, except that sometimes right in the middle of a conversation a character or characters would suddenly say something random that would dribble around for at least a half page - yes, I am very much aware that this was large print and that was all wrote to be funny/cute - but, it just came off annoying and honestly slowed the story down. I can see why these stories were liked, they are cute, fun, and fast reads.
I know what you're thinking. . . . Don't judge me; I know I'm definitely far out of range to "enjoy" this book. But honestly, I remember enjoying the other 3 books, and the 3rd ended on a cliffhanger. I never actually got to read this one. Not sure if that's good or bad. . . .
Anyways, I figured I might as well just add this book, for the heck of it. Maybe I'll read this in the future; maybe I won't. Either way, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As a fan of Monster High, I enjoyed this book. It wasn’t my favourite book by any means, but it was enjoyable; however, in terms of the age group this book is intended for, it is a fantastic book. The storyline is one that will catch young readers attention and give them something they can sink their teeth into. The book had a few spelling errors in some of the words and names which are reinvented to fit into the world of Monster High, however, the grammar was well done, with sentences that were easy to follow and understand. Also commendable is the use of words that I would not expect to see in the typical novel for young readers: providing young readers with a chance to learn new words and expand their vocabulary. All in all, I would recommend this book for both young readers and Monster High fans alike.
Ghoulfriends 'til the End is a good ending to the series!I have read the first three books of it and gave my opinion several times on how I don't enjoy the books as much as I used to when I was in about 2nd grade. But it's okay because I was able to reflect on why I don't like them anymore. The books are still fantasy with the idea of high school monster friends going on adventures and I would still recommend them to kids that are in elementary school. My reviews weren't as descriptive as they are usually since I don't find these books as appealing but it's okay because I have refreshed my brain by reading them once again and I can read books that I am more interested in now.
I personal enjoyed this book a lot. It was a book that you could read in one go. Onlyyy 240pages. I also love how the book has all these cool illasturtions. I also really enjoyed the mysysters. I also enjoyed how the book made you keepon reading cuz it made ypu think and wonder of whats to come andneeding to know and not being able to put the book down. I actualy enjoyed this book. It wasone of my fav childhood books that I read when I was younger as in grade 6. I loved this book when I was in grade six and I think its a good book now. definetly not my fav since I have grown to romance and fansty kind of stuff but here and ther i do enjoy a bit of mysetery.
So disappointing. I know these books are for kids, but come on. I thought all these books would lead up to some fantastic ending since they were taking so long to wrap everything up, and the ending sucks. There's not even any more books and we are left with somewhat of a cliffhanger. Rochelle's use of random French words and her annoying rules just really got on my nerves this book and I wanted it to be over. I love Monster High in general but I do not recommend these four books.
I wish this book was able to have the continuation but at least its been years so we know its not happening. I really liked the ending. The plot twist. I seen Cleo’s dad being involved because his contradicting statements.

Przez ostatni miesiąc zmagałam się z OGROMNYM zastojem, ale taka leciutka książka, która jednocześnie pozwoliła mi wrócić do zakamarków dzieciństwa, na pewno pomogła🥹
Spoiler Free Review! I decided to read MONSTER HIGH: Ghoulfriends - 'Til The End by Gitty Daneshvari & Darko Dordevic (Vol. 4) because I'm a big fan of the original Monster High web-series/films/dolls (2010-2016) and I wanted to find out what was going to happen next from the last book! I love Monster High because it's a show/films about the son's and daughter's of the original horror movie monsters (for example Cleo De Nile Daughter of the Mummy) and their life/un-life during high school years.
I really loved this book because it was focused on characters that aren't the big main characters of the whole series; Rochelle Goyle (Daughter of the Gargoyle), Venus McFlytrap (Daughter of the Plant Monster) & Robecca Steam (Daughter of a Mad Scientist/She's a steampunk robot). The book takes place right after Rochelle, Venus, & Robecca find Wydowna during the Crack and Shield Day in the gym at MONSTER HIGH and asking her if she's apart of ASOME (an secret society of Monsters) or on sides with Miss Flapper in the last book "MONSTER HIGH: Ghoulfriends Who's That Ghoulfriend?". This book was sure a page turner because the storyline keeps you engage & wanting more because more strange stuff start to happen & we're finally getting some answers. Venus, Robecca, & Rochelle find out that maybe the normies (humans) might have took Headmistress Bloodgood & the school goes under lockdown if fear that the humans are starting war again against the monsters, most of the student body are now scared of what's going on. ASOME starts to gain trust from the school but some of the students parents might be part of this strange society & most of the parents are against ASOME also more students go missing; the ghouls (girls) think Miss Flapper has something to due with this. Venus, Robecca, Rochelle, & Cy must find out more clues, gain trust with the parents who are against ASOME to find out what kind of society they're, see if the humans are really going to start war and free the missing students & Headmistress Bloodgood before it too late! Also the art inside the book by Darko Dordevic is very beautiful and help visualize scenes that happen throughout each chapter. MONSTER HIGH: Ghoulfriends - 'til the End by Gitty Daneshvari & Darko Dordevic (Vol.4) is a great book to read and it will finally give you the answers and solve the long awaited mystery that Venus, Robecca & Rochelle have been facing! I'll re-read this book series more than once because I love how they wrapped up this series and the epilogue leads up to the next 2 movies; MONSTER HIGH: Frights, Camera, Action! & MONSTER HIGH: Freaky Fusion. I will recommend this book to Monster High fans, people who are into monsters/paranormal, and young/early teens/Middle Grade!
I thought that this was the final book in the Ghoulfriends series; however, the epilogue at the end leaves the plot open for more adventures. I guess you have to buy and read the Ghoul-It Yourself book to find out if Robecca ever finds her dad.
Overall, I felt that the ending and solution to the main problem was rushed and rather simplified at the end. I thought there would be a big battle between the two secret societies; however, it seemed pretty easy to tie everything up.
Monster High Ghoulfriends Til the End by Gitty Daneshvari is a good book. This book is about three friends that end up meeting a new girl named Wydowna Spider who clears the threat behind Monster High. The three friends try to figure out which generation of monsters to trust once they meet a new group of monsters from different generation. I like this book because it is a mystery book and I like mysteries. I recommend this book to anyone who likes mysterious books.
Another chapter book read with my 7 year old. This was pretty much torture. She enjoys the dolls and the movies and we've read other Monster High and Ever After High books that she enjoyed, but this was really painful. One run on sentence after another. A pretty pointless plot. Neither of us particularly enjoyed this.
