When waiting for your chance in life, in order to change that life, you must be careful with your desires. The system can provide you the opportunity. It's just a pity that the chances of survival are so low.

Varg has been granted his chance at a new life, but will he be up to it? Can he cope with the pressure of that chance? New enemies, friends, and problems will be along soon. It remains only for Varg to figure out who he fears his enemies or his friends.

Nooo I'm already caught up 😭
I like stream-of-consciousness writing, even when the character is unhinged

Book two

I'm a big fan of the zombie litrpg books. Got to tell you that I got an ARC of this book to check the translation from Russian to English.
While a bit choppy at times and some pretty generic nicknames, I still really enjoyed reading this book.
So much so that when it hit KU, I read it again.

8/10 Looking forward to book three!

I love this book. Varg is such a badass as he traipes his way though the mountain (and I mean mountain) of zombie corpses which he's just killed to find loot. Varg is also a bit confused about the home he's trying to build and to adjust to all the people that lives there... You see he's always been a recluse, a loner 'cause being around people always puts him on edge, plus now he's even joined the group. Jarg never wanted to be in the limelight but by his own actions he's often the center of everyones attention. So Varg finds himself having to do a lot of soul-searching too. And ohhhh the zombies are getting stronger, by mutating into other unnatural beasts, plus now demons are getting involved. Well there's only one thing to do power up, and in the process power up the people that live in the home he's put in place of the dorm that they had originally called headquarters.
So go grab this book and watch as Oleg Sapphire again turns Jarg into a living breathing character and someone you'd like to know.

*sigh* maybe I spoke too soon. And things were going so well! But idk what the heck he’s doing with this demonic stuff and I’m out of here if it continues. Honestly, not sure I’ll be reading book 3.

Also the harem trope gets annoying. It’s bearable if it’s minimal (and so far it is), but sheesh he really ramped it up this book. I forsake the female romances and their over sexualized BS and forage out into the male world of action and adventure and somehow STILL come upon this nonsense. Which I guess yea is even more stereotypical than for women but honestly? Just kill stuff and be awesome!

That’s my own fault though, I prefer my overpowered men to be faithful (let’s face it I prefer ALL characters to be faithful) and I’m reading Russian litrpg… so… okay yea that’s on me I guess. Not saying Russians can’t be faithful mind you. Just that… Ya know… let me stop talking now.

Where’s more “Order of Architect” books when you need them *sigh*

I received a review copy of this book.
An Ideal World for a Sociopath is the second book in this series, and it's even better than the first one. I'm finding I really like this series, and it's not really because the main character is about as overpowered as they get and still make a good story, it's because the story is funny, enjoyable, and carries very little baggage most zombie stories tend to have. Plus, there's more monsters, and we see the whole world is evolving, not just the players. This makes for an interesting read. Highly recommended.

He might be a bit off his rocker...

But he has a soft spot for women and children. He does help people, though his reasoning for doing so may not be why we would do so lol. Does it really matter? No. Because in this world, good help is hard to find.

Considering its the zombie apocalypse, alot happened in this book. We are introduced to new enemies, come in contact with old ones and learn about new abilities and monsters.

Other than that, I am happy about the semi world building i.e. moving to the skyscraper. Did not think that would go well lol. But military discipline works for a reason.

Its a fun crazy story. Needs editing.

Book 2 evolved into more of a transition setup to give a glimpse into the psychology of the main character. The main character is the most interesting character. His logic doesn't always make sense, but is it because of his mental stability or just the writer losing the plot line? It works either way. The story introduced in solidified more supporting cast and help round out some of what the world building would be for the city that they're in. It's a fun, fast paced interesting story. Simple and it's telling, but you unique in the moral dilemmas presented.

Every bit as good as the first. I couldn't put the book down and finished it in one sitting. I love the self-exploration of the MC's sociopathy and the parallels we can draw between him and our own imagined responses to the situations he finds himself in.

We get a glimpse into the wider universe with this book with hints on the story direction for the future. Very exciting.

The protagonist is OP and socially challenged but constantly saves the day.

For my taste the group is way too dependend on his constant success. The group is really weak while some of the antagonists are strangely strong..

While a harem for the stongest might be realistic in such a situation it got really cliché by now..

***Just ok***

The whole focus was on him considering himself a psycho and trying to do stuff to keep the ladies at home happy. While he does level up. His growth felt stagnant and boring. No new skills or evolutions of old skills. No new loot or items. No changes in his fighting style. Felt like a filler episode of Bleach. Fun but forgettable and has no importance to the overall story.

Another good book

It's nice to have a book with the perspective that you're familiar with. I like the character and the fact that they can find some form of community to bind themselves too so they're not just a loner. The series is good I'll read the next

I couldn't stop reading :) the story seemed to wobble near the end, so I think I'll stop the series now. It was entertaining but the addition of alt worlds and the hero being so isolationist/ cocky are enough for me to leave the books on a high.

Sociopath with a Cause!

Good Guy is Varg, the Hero. Zombie killer, killer period, gallant, socially awkward but Really Smart & Dangerous. Except when it comes to women & children. Enjoyable!

I'm enjoying this book more than I should.

Ugh. Another cliffhanger.
This feels like a discount Primal Hunter series.

Will pick up the sequel.

Crazy

Ok he really is a sociopath, but with a protective streak for his own people. Things are definitely ramping up and a new level of unexpected dangers was introduced near the end of the book.

Very good second book in the series. Interesting twists with the trials. MC is still overpowered and a sociopath but the story is progressing well. I enjoy different world view but non-western authors

Finished this installment, but don't plan on continuing the series. World is poorly thought through. Multiple inconsistencies keep building up and makes the suspension of disbelief impossible to maintain. Also, after many arrows, the 5th one slways fells the foe.

The end of this book and shift to the beginning of book three is poorly handled and makes for little sense. Its as if the author forgot what his MC was doing and just tacked on the ending. Then starts the next volume in a most incoherent manner.

Exciting

The evolution of our sociopath as he is slightly socialized by his female family as he levels and how he deals with other groups is a treat. Great read!

Great series

Both books are great. The characters are interesting and the story is engaging. The action is non-stop and the main character is great at killing.

Meh

The translation is not fantastic but the story is at least a little interesting. World building system and storyline are weak but still readable.

Not bad so far.

So far, it’s not a bad system apocalypse story. I do like the unique twist that has been introduced. I look forward to seeing where this will lead us.

A fitting sequel

Simply put. If you liked the first one, you'll most likely like this one. It picks up right where the first one ends.

Highly recommended.
