A Monster Hit: #1 on the New York Times' Manga Best Sellers list!
It's bad enough that Kimihito is stuck hosting not one, not two, but three sexy Monster Girls—and is forbidden by law to touch any of them, no matter how much they come on to him—but now, he's going to have to marry one of them! Which will it be: the sensuous, serpentine Miia; Papi the Harpy, who has boundless enthusiasm and absolutely no personal boundaries; or the noble (and extremely busty) centaur, Centorea? Kimihito decides to get to know each one of these unearthly creatures a little better before he makes his choice—with disastrous results!
And that's not all the strange and titillating world of Monster Girls has in store for our hapless hero. See what new adventures, mishaps, and fan service await Kimihito in Volume 2 of Monster Musume!
Actually a bit better than the first volume in toning down the fan-service, while still having it and having more of an actual plot that isn't just an idiot plot to have a harem established. Also a nice shout-out and then subversion of the "slimes" from Dragon Quest. Anyone who has played the games or knows about them knows what the slimes are, and in Japan the Dragon Quest franchise was insanely popular and influential. So that was neat.
If having to deal with three monster girl wasn’t excruciating enough for Kimihito, Ms. Smith has now informed him that he has to marry one of them after a change of the strict law involving being with them romantically. While attempting to take slow baby steps with the three, another monster girl has mysteriously joined the household. That girl is Suu, a silent slime girl that can phase through things, grow with water and quickly becomes fast friends with Papi. The crazy daily shenanigans continue, and now another monster girl is introduced by the end.
This book is rated Older Teen by the folks at Seven Seas Entertainment and for very good reason. The book starts after the revelation of the main character is now supposed to marry one of the monster girls that have moved into his house after not even being able to touch them in the first book. This book series is everything a lecherous fanboy or fangirl could want in this not quite hentai graphic novel.
Each potential wife has her pluses and minuses as the cast to this story begins to increase further(what will be next? Perhaps a ghost girl or a succubus to really test the rating system?)
While I don't mind harem manga and I like the characters' unique characteristics I guess I am not used to opening a book and breasts and butts right off the bat in full color. I am certainly hopeful that as the series continues that instead of focusing on the natural curves of the girls they might actually have something like normal dating issues or trouble not relating to the monster girls accidentally almost killing Kimihito.
my favorite part of book would have to be the very end(before the extras) when Meron Lorelei introduces herself The look of surprise on Kimihito's face was great and a new nickname is created for him. :)
OKAYADO continues from the general harem hijinks of his previous volume by starting this one off with a story about how main character Kurusu has to marry one of the three girls (lamia Miia, harpy Papi, and centaur Cerea) as progress for the integration between the world of monster girls and contemporary Japan. But this doesn't really last too long. After almost being killed by the girls' lust during a full moon, Kurusu decides to date each girl one at a time, in order to better get to know them. But the thing is, Miia's the only one who gets a date, and not even, because when she tries to cook for Kurusu later the cooking ware is invaded by a slime, who then proceeds to attack Kurusu's household further, before ultimately imitating the girls and taking on a feminine appearance of her own, thus becoming the fourth harem member, Suu (as named by Papi). What follows is actually a pretty cute story of Papi trying to be friends with Suu while the other characters do their thing, and indeed Suu potentially becomes the new Best Girl, particularly when she's given the raincoat and galoshes to wear. The best thing is obviously that she can switch between STICC and THICC at will, depending on how much water she absorbs. And indeed, OKAYADO uses Suu's reliance on water to set up the introduction of another girl, Mero the mermaid.
In short, this volume promises a good twist on the haremshit genre, with the teases dates giving the impression that we'll get more development for the initial three girls. But of course these hopes are dashed when instead we get two more additions to the harem, and we can thus imagine OKAYADO will keep adding new girls for the next few volumes, until we can eventually get to a point where we can have character development free of more character interaction. But it's fine, since Suu is so great, and her presence makes Papi better than before. The only issue is that the mermaid doesn't get too much development, but that's also partly because she isn't even revealed as a mermaid until the very last couple pages. So whatever.
I was browsing on Amazon and having read some One Punch Man samples this manga was recommended to me. I have always thought it too odd or pervy for me to read so never bothered trying or paying attention beyond glancing at the cover. I am between books and decided to try it.
Yes there is gratuitious manga boobs and lots of flesh but in terms of plot and characters its pretty fun and humourous. Quite enjoyed the plot where a guy ends up having a species exhange with a snake-woman and then a bird woman and finally a centaur type woman. All seem to be like bitches in heat and hijinks ensues. Its a light and breezy read and good fun. I have read the first two in the series and maybe I'll check out the rest.
Ok. My sister loves these. Very funny she said. And I mean.. those mangas do not have an age restriction. Are classified as comedy. I do not agree with that. So sexual. So in your face. It is funny- but it even could be without those obscene chunks crowbared in between. I really like the charakters! They are very clever made. Cool implied. etc etc
There more story and plot and then some more other type of plot lol.
First Papi get better character development. Showing she not idiot and she has her own good qualities. Comedy is really good and art is really good. Is basically better in pretty much every way and the plot get better in terms of story and set up.
Lewd, funny, and quite a bit of fan service, Monster Musume Volume 2 continues to up the ante with even more over the top situations and two new characters. Volume 2 was fun for me but, as far as quality goes, it's not the greatest manga out there. I still like it though.
This is pure crap! I think it actually was composed in a boy's locker room. The harem now has five members, all living under the same roof. And, I have six volumes to go.
One of the most original and exciting manga of the 2010's, Monster Musume is a refreshing and enjoyable take on the monster girl genre of Japan. A warning, this series is definitely for people over the age of 18, as there is a lot of nudity and sexual situations that parents may find unsettling in the story. In the not to distant future, a race called liminals, creatures who are half human and half animal, has made contact with the human race and initiate a cultural exchange, to allow liminals to experience and integrate into human society. One such liminal, Mia, a lamia, is accidentally placed with a hapless human student named Kimihito, and decides to remain with him as both a student and a love interest. During the course of the series, we meet, among other things, a harpy, a centaur, a mermaid, and many more monster girls who fall for Kimihito and wish to win him anyway possible. I would encourage this for all adult fans who enjoy comedy manga, harem manga and slice of life stories.
I love the first bit, where it's revealed he needs to marry on of the girls. Then they turn into sex crazed maniacs so he runs away, bloody hilarious.
Then we get introduced to more monster girls, it's good but it hinders the story. Before the introduction, the guy had agreed to take each of the girls on a date to see who he wants to marry. But with the introduction of the new one, it never happens. I didn't really find it as funny as the introductions with the other girls, I liked the interactions between Papi and Suu though.
Well again a lot of fanservice honestly the only character I like is Mia and it's becasue she the most cute of the three, but well at least now we have a little more of plot he must find a wife among the monster that live with him.
Introduction of more of our female characters who in one way or another love the protagonist and their life with him. The story has not suggested he has any particular favorites.
