Although this third volume doesn't get us much closer to the explanation of who or what Joker is, the story is so much fun I didn't really miss the lack of plot development. This series continues to develop the characters' personalities, and they are all in fine form here. From adorable to saucy and cute to snarky, each character gets some good one-liners--some even a little more risqué than before--while the art stays beautiful throughout. While I hope volume 4 does wrap up the mystery, I'm enjoying how fun this story is.

Joker's making his move and Alice is realizing that April Season isn't all it appears to be. And we learn of a mysterious new character: The Executioner.

Note: Alice in the Country of Joker is the third installment of the Alice in the Country of Hearts series; all of which are based off Otome dating games. The second installment is called Alice in the Country of Clover which must be viewed either in game format or through the spinoffs from the original Alice in the Country of Hearts manga.

This series has 7 volumes.

This is like a weird roller coaster. The excitement builds up then we get that short rush and charged up adrenaline and then... flat. This volume was the flat part. I hope it picks up again in the next because the mystery is building up and I want to see more character development for Joker. He has a great arc going on.

I'm not really sure i'm following everything that is going on in this series. I like all the Alice in Wonderland books, these kind of confuse me. I think it might make more sense when all the books are released and I read them through all at once.

I'm still very very confused. As much as I like "Alice in the Country of..." series, I'm a little tired of being so confused I don't know what's going on.

This series is getting weirder, and not in a good way. Guess I'll stick it out since it takes no time at all to read.

I will say that the art was absolutely wonderful in this volume. So cute and adorable and all the boys are super hot in this one. However will she choose.

I did have some trouble following the plot a bit, it kind of jumped all over the place. But it's also been a long time since I've read the previous volumes so that also might be why. I am very interested to find out what happens next and hopefully to get Joker to free those poor children.

Alice in the Country of Joker: Circus and Liar's Game is the best out of all the Alice spinoffs. It delves into Alice's psyche and hints at why she's in Wonderland to begin with. Like the original novel that the visual novel and graphic novel series are based off of, the story has a dreamlike and nonsensical quality to it.

Contains Chapters 8 - 11: This volume was another great addition to this series and provided several opportunities to learn a little bit more about Joker and his realm. This volume also has some great scenes at the Hatters Mansion as well as at Clover Tower & the Amusement Park. This volume also has a cliff hanger at the end so I am really looking forward to reading the next volume.

It's a decent enough book, that sets up the story pretty well, but not much actually happens. There's also more repetition in this issue than I would have liked.

This series finally tells us more about the working of wonderland and it's so nice to read about the backstory <3

Ace gets cut by Gray and Nightmare tells Alice of the upcoming snow festival. Vivaldi wants to take Boris to a kitty cafe. Dee and Dum fight with Ace because he was harassing Alice. Alice headbutts Blood and he gives her a kiss on the cheek. Afterwards, Alice finds her sister Lorina in a jail cell.

i really liked the style of this book and I liked the characters personalities.

Edit 1 year later: totally forgot to mention that this was 100% cover buy.
I have no regrets for starting the series with book three...

I'm like the arc with the series so far. You have Wonderland and the circus. I like that while there's hints of romance and all that, stuff is happening. Pretty good so far.

Honestly, I'm glad I picked this series up again. I can't wait to finish it, as well as the Cheshire Cat Waltz series, and more...
