When Kyoko’s heart is broken, she decides that revenge is a dish best served in the spotlight!

Kyoko Mogami followed her true love Sho to Tokyo to support him while he made it big as an idol. But he’s casting her out now that he’s famous! Kyoko won’t suffer in silence—she’s going to get her sweet revenge by beating Sho in show biz!

Kyoko has trained hard to be the perfect ninja, and now the day of the Momiji audition has dawned. But the producer in charge of the acting test kicks Kyoko out for having hair unbecoming of a ninja, without even letting her perform! Kyoko’s temporary manager Yoshiro isn’t worried, though. He knows a little adversity isn’t enough to stand in the way of Kyoko’s ninja dreams. But are grit and determination really enough to break through the producer’s professional skepticism?

Has one of my favorite fight/revelation scenes. Reminds me of Tokyo Crazy Paradise.

2020- review. Kyoko auditions for Momiji. I really liked how she portrays this character and cannot stand the girl she is up against for the role. I love how she impresses the director yet how he has mixed thoughts on her. And what does President Lory think he is going to Ren?! Oh that ending had me ready to beg for the next volume.

The best part of this manga has got to be the audition scenes. That’s where Kyoko shines.

Can I just say, that when Yashiro became Kyoko's manager, I squealed and did a happy dance just as much as when Kyoko get's kissed by Ren or Sho. Yashiro is the BEST. I'm pretty sure the author made him in the fandom's image, because his reactions are always my first reactions, and now he's doing what I want to do. Protecting Kyoko and being there for her. Round of applause for that man.
Kyoko also kicks butt in this volume. Obviously the audition couldn't be smooth sailing, but what better way to show she understand the ninja character than showing that a little thing like being rejected from the audition would stop her.
A lot less attention was shown on Kyoko building the character. It's mostly her battle of wills against the director and her competition. That girl who's also in the running, by far the worst adversary we've met so far. She THREW a girl from a moving CAR.

Still not quite sure how this audition for Momiji is going to pan out, and whether Kyouko will get the role... but so far things definitely seem to be going in her favour, despite starting off with a disadvantage (after being sent off by the producer-guy before even getting a chance to audition), and then having ANOTHER disadvantage when she was found to be from a "talent" division, rather than an "acting" division (...and what does that really matter, if she does well and has the experience? o.O) and then having a random sword fight thrown into the mix where she has to fight multiple people to a "script"? WHAT.

Regardless... she's done AMAZINGLY WELL so far and I'm so excited to see where things go from here! She did an incredible job in the initial audition, and just appeared to kick ASS in the follow-up sword fight, AND she even answered the question posed by the producer correctly! :D
(Also, that back flip in the middle of the fight was INCREDIBLE)

And Erika's been there to witness basically the entire thing... so I'm not sure how things that way will go o.O

I can’t wait for the next installment in this series. It ends with such crazy cliffhanger. A great series to read.

On this volume I'll just say that Kyoko is a BADASS and that other actress is CRAZY. Also UFF~ When Ren saw that photo of Kyoko and Sho 😈😈😈 The President loves to scheme 🤣

After 41 volumes I took the time to search what was the difference between Talento and Actors... I had no idea it was a whole other category. I just thought they could just do both... Clearly I haven't been paying attention.

On to he next volume.

(Probably started around 2013/2014. I continued from where the anime ended in the manga at around chapter 66-68ish and had continued up to chapter 242.
Watch a recap, then start from chapter 242 {vol. 41}.)

One of the most exciting volumes of the series. The Momiji audition brings the series focus back to Kyoko's journey as an actress. Perfectly highlights her all-or-nothing approach when assuming a role. I'm so excited for this arc.
