I'm Dangerous, I Swear

Takuma was just another awkward gamer, but a twist of fate sees him summoned to another world -- in the body of a demon lord! And no one's more terrified of the prospect than Takuma himself. He may have power, but he's in way over his head. So he decides to pretend to be the monster he looks like, and accidentally winds up with a pair of gorgeous slaves: a voluptuous elf and cat girl. It's not what any of them wanted, but they'll have to figure out how to work together if they want to survive!

So this was kind of terrible. I don't mind ecchi, I don't mind harems or love triangles or whatever, but both girls pretty much only argue with each over who summoned the demon guy for the entire volume, with the only breaks being panty shots and boob grabbing.

Incredibly clichéd and it's not even funny. Very stale.

As I read this, I could feel the feminism cringing, squirming, curling up into a ball, and eventually attempting to exit my body through my skin.

This is what I get for picking up manga I know nothing about purely because I have heard the title. At least it was only $1.

Takuma is summoned into a world much like the game he had been playing as the character he played. There's two beautiful girls fighting to be his master of course. More fan service than I appreciate, some being very much so there just to be there. Some being amusing with his thoughts of ah cannot think of that now. All that being said a fun storyline and well drawn.

Really? The protagonist kills two other players simply for being a married couple? What an ass. And what on earth is it with the constant elves and cat people in JRPGs? Why so often?
Our protaginist thinks that the last time he talked with a girl was a year ago at the convenient store, but then he remembers to have talked with female gamers. Does he never leave the house? If the ring reflected the enslavement spell back on the two girls, couldn't it be argued that they shouldn't have been able to summon him in his avatar to begin with? Or are these two different spells? And if the enslavement was sealed with a kiss, does that mean they have to kiss the other summoned beings as well? So many questions.
They must be really prejudiced against elemental magic if they dismiss it that much and never developed it past tricks. Because even simply being able to lit fire would be quite useful in cases.
I forgave the big elf titties because it could be just a joke, but the cat ass shot clearly shows it to be beyond that. We have porn today, so who needs this? And man are the protagonist's sexual fantasies a bit annoying. If it be handled more comedically, maybe I might enjoy it, but I reall don't. They are mostly boring.
I didn't even notice the talk about the demon tribe tricking people, this is so uninteresting to me. And as for the slave collars on the girls... are they girls? Who cares.... could just be covered up by a collar, no reason to expose it like this.
Finally, it was over, I know that he will fight a giant salamander, but I don't care, the guy is so overpowered compared to everyone else that it really shouldn't be a problem. And he isn't een likeable or interesting.

This had some similarities to Overlord, with having a young man from our world become his MMO avatar in a real fantasy world eerily similar to that of the game's world. With this volume, I don't really feel like we've gotten too deep into the world or the magic. I definitely think I'll continue this series, but I'm hoping that we get to where Shera and Rem don't bicker as much, because that was getting a tiny bit aggravating.

I think that the series could have potential. There is just enough hinted at in the background of the story to interest me to keep going. If the two girls will stop arguing and actually find a way to coexist it will make the story much better. I for one am just curious what his true power level is compared to the rest of the world lol.

This started off funny but then got annoying pretty quickly. I would’ve liked this volume more if the girls didn’t argue as much as they did.

This was hilarious.

I am starting to be a big fan of the isekai genre. Even though I am not a huge fan of the whole humans getting trapped in video games plot in general I really enjoyed How Not to Summon a Demon Lord. Way more than I thought I would.

I haven't read the light novels, but I can't recommend the manga enough.

I picked up Vol. 1 & 2 of this series the same day because I have been looking for a manga series with that rpg fantasy feel. I liked this first volume a lot. It's funny and has those fantasy adventure elements I wanted. My only criticisms are the story took a bit to get going and Diablo says "hmm" so many times. SO. MANY. Other than that I really liked it. Starting vol. 2 right away.

Firstly I want to sat this is a series I have already watched, I really enjoyed the anime so I decided to pick up the manga.

The Comedic elements are still quite funny as well as the art being really good so far, the story has been mainly all introduction with little action but that was expected, I know it will pick up soon.

The ecchi parts are still quite affluent too.

This is the first and only book I ever asked a refund for. The prose is terrible while the story and the characters are trash, boring and uninspired.

If someone told me this was written by a 13yo guy I would believe them, the sad alternative would be the author never, ever, got out and interacted with real people - women above all

Watched the first season of the anime as season two was airing and fell in love with it. Volume one of the manga is really good. Pacing and world building are great and there's something about this adventure I just really enjoy.

I bought this before I started watching it and realized this had fan service stuff. My boyfriend laughs at my uncanny ability to pick this stuff up unintentionally. The plot is interesting and there is humor, but I am not interested boob and crotch shots.

Starts off like every other Isekai story, the main guy is teleported to a fantasy world where he happens to be over power. There is even two girls fighting over him straight away, so pretty much an instant harem.

It's not until halfway where it really becomes it's own thing, the guy decides to play the part. He's been summoned as a demon lord and just with it. iI's hilarious as it gets him in so much trouble, which could have been avoided if he didn't keep threating to incinerate people. I quite like the girls as well, they both have their own secrets, which we only get a glimpse of in this.

I'm actually on the 4th volume now, I'm just enjoying it that much. Even though the lead is overpowered he faces different kind of challenges which I appreciate and the girls are great.
