They may look like Bad Guys, but these wannabe heroes are doing good deeds...whether you like it or not! This New York Times bestselling illustrated series is perfect for fans of Dog Man and Captain Underpants. The Bad Guys are vanishing! A creature with TONS of teeth and WAY too many butts is stealing them, one by one. Is this the end for the Bad Guys? Maybe. Will it be funny? You bet your butts it will!
Aaron is an Australian author of children's books and artist who until the mid-2000s was also an actor. His award winning picture books include Pearl Barley and Charlie Parsley, The Ghost of Miss Annabel Spoon and the best-selling Pig the Pug.
In the field of acting, he is probably best known for his lead roles in two television dramedies, 1994's The Damnation of Harvey McHugh, for which he won an Australian Film Institute Award, and 2003's CrashBurn, before retiring from performance in 2005.
The Bad Guys #6 has our heroes stuck on the moon inside the alien chamber. The alien has lots of tentacles which have either eyes, teeth, or butts. He used the butts for hands! Hilarious art! Another winner!
The good guys club find out that Dr. Marmalade isn't a Guinea pig but an alien in disguise. They are also being celebrated on earth as the Heroes for stopping Dr. Marmalade's weapon cute-zilla ray. Legs comes up with a plan to hack into an escape pod but before that he gets captured. Mr. Snake wants to just escape leaving Legs behind but one by one they all get captured except for Mr. Snake. Mr. Snake wants to be a hero but he also wants to escape. But he ends up being a hero and saves his friends. They end up escaping but have they escaped into the right time?
This was quite hilarious especially Mr. Snake. Mr. Snake is definitely my favorite. I love his hilarious lines and his smug expressions. I enjoyed this more than the last in the series. As usual art was pretty good.
Mr. Wolf to Mr. Snake - It's so dark. Why is it so dark? It seems to be getting darker... Don't you think it's really dark?
Mr. Snake to Mr. Wolf - YES! WELL SPOTTED! IT'S DARK! WHAT DO YOU WANT? A COOKIE? OBVIOUSLY, IT'S DARK.
The Bad Guys crew - Mr. Wolf, Mr. Snake, Mr. Piranha, Mr. Shark, and Legs the tarantula - return in this sixth beginning chapter-book/graphic-novel devoted to their hilarious (mis)adventures. Squaring off against the invading alien once known as Dr. Marmalade, our heroes learn just what Mr. Snake - whose constant backsliding into villainy has been a theme in previous books - is made of, as he . Despite Mr. Snake's efforts, the companions must flee in an escape pod from KDJFLOERHGCOINWERUHCGLEIRWFHEKLWJFHXALHW (the alien) at the end, and find themselves most unexpectedly transported . What will they do now...?
I can see, after finishing The Bad Guys in Alien Vs. Bad Guys, that Australian author/artist Aaron Blabey still has a few surprise endings up his sleeve, and am a little sad that, having raced through the first six installments of the series in a few days, I will now have to wait some months for the seventh volume, The Bad Guys in Do-You-Think-He-Saurus?! I had the pleasure of meeting Blabey today, at an event at work, and he is every bit as entertaining in person as he is on the page. Apparently there are twenty volumes planned for The Bad Guys series, so there is still plenty of fun ahead! I enjoyed this one - I particularly liked the fact that Mr. Shark was able to pronounce the alien's name - and look forward to the publication of more about these madcap characters and their whacky adventures. Recommended to anyone who has read and enjoyed the first five books about these would-be-good Bad Guys.
Ak sa zbavíte predsudkov budete sa baviť. Aj keď tu dominujú zadky, ide v prvom rade v tejto knihe o udržanie priateľstva. Séria stúpa k druhej vlne! #trebacitat
They may have saved the world from zombie kittens, but our moon-stranded heroes have to deal with enemy who turns out to be a multi butted alien. They must do what they can to escape altogether and hopefully back home. A- (91%/Excellent)
Lup are încredere în toți 🐺, Dl.
I didn’t like this one as much as the others. It went back to not really having a lot going on. Which doesn’t always mean a bad thing, just after the last few in the series it’s a bit disappointing.
Mr. Snake is really starting to irritate me. I’m glad he was called out in this episode, because his behavior took a major nosedive.
Even though the kiddo flew through this book — he wants to get them all read before the ninth book comes out — he says this wasn’t one of his favorites although he still “loves them all.”
Y’all I’m officially attached to the characters. I literally cried over snake being emotionally vulnerable like I’m attached. I love this series so much holy crap. I didn’t expect to be attached to these characters but damn here i am. ALSO TIME TRAVEL ADDITION IM HELLA EXCITED FOR NEXT BOOK

My first venture into this young reader series. It was funny and the humour totally appropriate to a 7-10 year old.
The bad guys, who don't really seem all that bad, are stuck on an alien ship. Escape is going to be difficult. If they can stick together, they might all get out of it. Friendship plays and important part of this story.
I would happily recommend this series for any young reader.
Read this book with one of my English students because she got it at the library and I thought it was a good opportunity to get her into reading out loud. She seemed to enjoy it and it has made her more confident in her pronunciation skills. I didn't enjoy it too much, but that is because there are a few too many mentions of alien butts and I'm not really at an age where that is funny. But it is a great book for kids, and when I was 7 or 8 I probably would have loved it. There is a little lesson on friendship, trust and cooperation which isn't too in your face, so that's cool, too.
Again, read a bunch of times in a short span, we get an alien spaceship caper that has Mr Snake coming into his own and ending with an Aliens riff. Some big time humour and a great ending sending us off into the next crazy adventure. Excellent stuff. My 5 year old chose to buy this for a treat rather than ice cream which says a lot.
The Bad Guys are vanishing! One by one taken away and at the end they suddenly Time-Traveled on 65 Milion BC! Mr. Snake launched the Escape Pod To trick the alien kdjfloerhgcoinweruhcgleirwfheklwjfhxalhw(Marmalade the Guinea pig) and them Mr. Snake wore the alien robot thing and beat Marmalade. But he can hold his breath in space for 9WEEKS.
Read these books between March-May with my students in first grade. These were a hit with my non-readers and avid readers. I used my document camera to easily project the novel on the promethean board and read.
These are ENTERTAINMENT stories and not a lot of "meat" in the story. It made it an easy example for my students to see what reading for FUN vs. learning looked like.
I think this is my favorite Bad Guys yet! I loved getting a good laugh each time I read this series. So much fun and the students at my school LOVE these books. Keep 'em coming Aaron Blabey!
