ดำเนินเรื่องสนุกแบบแดนบราวน์เหมือนเดิม แม้แนวเรื่องจะฉีกไปทางวิทยาศาสตร์จ๋าๆเลยก็ตาม ข้อมูล ศัพท์แปลกๆมาเต็ม บางฉากนี่นึกภาพไม่ค่อยออกเลย แต่พอเอาเรื่องการแย่งชิงอำนาจทางการเมืองมาเบรกก็ทำให้เรื่องน่าสนใจขึ้น ไม่ใช่อัดแต่งานของนาซ่า อุกกาบาต ดาราศาสตร์ ฟิสิกส์!

ฝั่งของเกรเบรียลล์ก็สนุกดี อ่านง่าย ตามเรื่องง่าย เพราะคุยกันภาษาคน! ส่วนฝั่งของราเชลนี่ยากหน่อย มันหนักด้านวิทย์จ๋าไป แต่ก็ได้คอร์กี้มาเสริมความฮาได้นิดๆ จริงๆชอบบุคลิกของนอราห์นะ แต่ไหงกลับจบตัวละครไวมากซะงั้น แล้วก็เสียดายตัวละครที่ตายด้วย คือแทบทั้งหมดแหละ คือเพื่อตัดปัญหาการสืบเสาะมูลเหตุหรือไง ถึงต้องให้ตัวละครตายเนี่ย! แต่ที่ผ่านๆมา งานของบราวน์ก็ชอบฆ่าตัวละครทิ้งอยู่แล้วอ่ะ

บทสรุปของเซดจ์วิกเราว่ามันจับทางได้ง่ายไปหน่อย เลยไม่ค่อยตื่นเต้น กลายเป็นว่า ตัดจบแต่ละฉากแบบฉับๆ ทั้งที่ดำเนินเรื่องมาซะซับซ้อน ไหนจะความซื่อบื้อของพวกเดลต้าอีก ดูลึกลับเหลือเกิน แต่พอปรากฏตัวออกมาดูอ๊องๆกันแทบทุกคน

เอาเป็นว่า ถ้าได้อ่านเรื่องขึ้นหิ้งอย่าง Angels & Demons และ The Davinci Code มาแล้วล่ะก็ Deception Point นี่ก็สนุกเทียบเคียงได้ แม้จะไม่ใช่จักรวาลของแลงดอนก็ตาม (แต่ถ้าเทียบแล้วเราก็ยังเทใจไปดาร์วินชี่มากกว่าอยู่ดี) -^^-

ตอนแรกเห็นจำนวนหน้าก็ท้อเพราะมันมีห้าร้อยกว่าหน้าเลยเหรอ แต่ไหนๆ ฉันเลือกเธอแล้วฉันก็พร้อมที่จะอ่าน 55555555 ช่วงแรกๆ อ่านแล้วรู้สึกเครื่องยังไม่ค่อยติดเท่าไหร่ เรื่องจะแบ่งเป็นพาร์ทเกี่ยวกับการเมืองและพาร์ทเกี่ยวกับนักวิทยาศาสตร์สลับๆ กันไป ส่วนตัวชอบพาร์ทวิทยาศาสตร์มากกว่าอาจจะเพราะคุ้นเคยมากกว่าด้วยละมั้งจึงอ่านแล้วสนุก ลุงแดนเก่งนะในการใส่มุก/ความรู้เกี่ยวกับวิทย์ๆ มาแล้วมันทำให้ผู้อ่านร้องว้าวมันเป็นอย่างนี้เองเหรอ บางเรื่องก็เป็นเรื่องที่รู้อยู่แล้วแต่บางเรื่องก็เป็นเรื่องใหม่ แล้วเรื่องนี้ความรู้แน่นมากในหลายๆ สาขา พออ่านไปทีเจอเชิงอรรถที่บรรยายไว้ก็จะเข้ากูเกิลหาข้อมูลมาประกอบมันสนุกตรงนี้แหละได้รู้ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์เจ๋งๆ พร้อมเห็นภาพไปด้วย ด้วยความที่หนังสือมันหนาก็เลยเขียนให้เส้นเรื่องมันพลิกไปพลิกมาได้หลายชั้น ถ้ามีเวลาว่าง ชอบแนวสืบสวนหาความจริงพร้อมอัดแน่นด้วยข้อมูล และไม่กลัวหนังสือหนาห้าร้อยกว่าหน้าคุณควรลองเล่มนี้ดู แต่ถ้าเป็นแฟนสายวิทย์ๆ คุณจะสนุกกว่าเดิม

หลังจากลองอ่าน ล่ารหัสมรณะ ไปแล้ว ก็ถึงเวลาของ แผนลวงสะท้านโลก สักที เรื่องนี้ก็ยังเต็มไปด้วยข้อมูลเชิงลึกมากมายที่คนไม่คุ้นเคยอย่างเราก็งงๆก่งก๊งกันไป ด้วยความที่คิดว่าเล่มนี้จะอ่านเอาบันเทิงก็เลยไม่ได้ใส่ใจอะไรมาก (เพราะก็ไม่รู้ว่าอันไหนเรื่องจริงอันไหนเรื่องแต่ง) แต่ก็เพราะไอ้ข้อมูลเชิงลึกทั้งหลายแหล่ที่นักเขียนใส่ลงมาเนี่ยแหละทำให้พล็อตเรื่องมันยิ่งใหญ่สะท้านโลกตามชื่อหนังสือ ถึงใครจะว่ามันจบง่ายไปหน่อยแต่เราก็ประทับใจมันอยู่ดีนะ
