ปกติอ่านแนวสืบสวน ตัวเอกไม่เป็นตำรวจก็สารวัตรทหาร แต่เรื่องนี้ตัวเอกเป็นหัวหน้าแพทย์ชันสูตรศพ ทำให้ได้อ่านจากมุมมองใหม่ๆบ้าง

เริ่มเรื่องถึงช่วงกลางถือว่าปูมาได้ดี น่าติดตาม ช่วงวิเคราะห์ตัวตนฆาตกรร่วมกับเจ้าหน้าที่เอฟบีไอ นึกถึงซีรีส์ Mindhunter กับหนังสือชุด Dr. Hannibal Lecter งานของ Thomas Harris สองเล่มแรกเลย แต่รู้สึกว่าจะมารวบรัดเอาบทสุดท้ายยังไงไม่รู้ ยังคลางแคลงใจหลายๆจุด แต่ถือว่านิยายชุดหมอสการ์เพ็ตตานี้น่าติดตาม ใครเบื่อๆเรื่องตำรวจลองเปลี่ยนแนวได้ น่าติดตามเช่นกัน
