This is at the top of my list (along with Electric Bread) as my favorite bread machine cookbook. The breads turn out just the way the book describes them and its simple directions are very easy to follow. There are quantities for both 1 lb and 1-1/2 lb loaves for every recipe.
Favorite recipes include: Debbie's Honey Whole Wheat (p.35) Black Forest Pumpernickel (p.57) Sweet Oatmeal (p.69) Whole Wheat Hamburger & Hot Dog Buns (p.155).
I have made several breads from this book and they have all turned out good if not great. I take notes on the pages and several of them say things like "fabulous bread" and "nice crust texture and great flavor."
Bread machines are a useful tool for those who like fresh baked bread but don't have the time for kneading the dough. The book contains 139 recipes for this human staple. A wonderful addition for the kitten of a busy purson.
Worst cook book ever . Half the recipes are flops and all of them need tweeked . I am sure all recipes are untried . At a point I was looking up recipes in other cook books and on line to improve them . Then it occurred to me , quit using the book completely
After I failed with so many bread machine recipes, a friend suggested I try this cookbook. I've tried many of the recipes and have had wonderful results with them all.
