Note: The decision was made to consolidate all Disney publications under the name Walt Disney Company. This profile is for Walt Disney, the characters he created, and the company he founded. Any questions, please ask in the Librarian's Group.

Walter Elias “Walt” Disney (December 5, 1901 – December 15, 1966) was an American film producer, director, screenwriter, voice actor, animator, entrepreneur, entertainer, international icon, and philanthropist. Disney is famous for his influence in the field of entertainment during the 20th century. As the co-founder (with his brother Roy O. Disney) of Walt Disney Productions, Disney became one of the best-known motion picture producers in the world. The corporation he co-founded, now known as The Walt Disney Company, today has annual revenues of approximately U.S. $35 billion.

Disney is particularly noted for being a film producer and a popular showman, as well as an innovator in animation and theme park design. He and his staff created some of the world's most famous fictional characters including Mickey Mouse, a character for which Disney himself was the original voice. He has been awarded four honorary Academy Awards and has won twenty-two competitive Academy Awards out of fifty-nine nominations, including a record four in one year, giving him more awards and nominations than any other individual. He also won seven Emmy Awards. He is the namesake for Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort theme parks in the United States, as well as the international resorts Tokyo Disney, Disneyland Paris, and Disneyland Hong Kong.

Disney died of lung cancer in Burbank, California, on December 15, 1966. The following year, construction began on Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. His brother Roy Disney inaugurated the Magic Kingdom on October 1, 1971.

The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS) (commonly referred to as Disney) is the largest media and entertainment conglomerate in the world in terms of revenue. Founded on October 16, 1923, by brothers Walt Disney and Roy Disney as the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio, the company was reincorporated as Walt Disney Productions in 1929. Walt Disney Productions established itself as a leader in the American animation industry before diversifying into live-action film production, television, and travel. Taking on its current name in 1986, The Walt Disney Company expanded its existing operations and also started divisions focused upon theatre, radio, publishing, and online media. In addition, it has created new divisions of the company in order to market more mature content than it typically associates with its flagship family-oriented brands.

The company is best known for the products of its film studio, the Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group, today one of the largest and best-known studios in Hollywood. Disney also owns and operates the ABC broadcast television network; cable television networks such as Disney Channel, ESPN, and ABC Family; publishing, merchandising, and theatre divisions; and owns and licenses 11 theme parks around the world. On January 23, 2006, it was announced that Disney would purchase Pixar in an all-stock transaction worth $7.4 billion. The deal was finalized on May 5. On December 31, 2009, Disney Company acquired the Marvel Entertainment, Inc. for $4.24 billion. The company has been a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average since May 6, 1991. An early and well-known cartoon creation of the company, Mickey Mouse, is the official mascot of The Walt Disney Company.

So I looked forward to a long final chapter of this ARC, and the first chapter started promising, then they concluded the ''fast world'' ARC in two chapters, ending the whole ARC with 3 filler chapters. This led to the conclusion of the ARC feeling super rushed and un-inspired.

I can't decide if I'll continue reading or not, at this point. This ARC had some points that made me hope we'd get some of the original WITCH back, but then they returned to cheapening everything down again, and I'm just... arg? I know I stopped reading the series originally just because of these things, because I didn't want to support someone who just tried to milk me for money, but now? It's not like me not buying the books will have an impact on if they change things up regarding how they create these comics anymore.
Guess we'll just have to wait and see?

Other thoughts I had while reading this book:
Oh, hey, there's Stephen! Honestly, this part should have been one of the openings to this ARC, as it would make Stephen's disappearance make sense, and would fill out Irma as a character a little better.
Wait, where's Nigel? I don't remember what happened to him, at all. Did he just disappear because the new creators decided they didn't want to focus on Tara? Like we've very clearly seen in the last few ARCs? She's more of an after thoughts these days, which is sad.
On the note of Tara; how does she not know what a dark room is?! Her main hobby is photography! Then again, they seem to have forgotten that, and replaced it with dancing, making her more ''girlish''.
Speaking of hobbies; Yay! We get to see Will swim again! I'm really happy about the fact that this ARC has actually returned some of the things that made the girls real in the first place, even if it's not really enough. Especially considering they've started putting Will in a miniskirt every chance they get these days! That's Cornelia's style. Will is all about pants and comfy sport clothes. I always felt so seen by that, and then I felt kinda betrayed once they started putting her in fashion clothes.
Timeline still doesn't make sense for me, but that may be because I don't know how long the typical American/French high school lasts? Here, it's 3 years, but that's after 3 years of Juniour High School - which is more like the high school we see on TV, while our actual high school is more specialized toward what we want to work with as adults. It's like a mini college. Anyway, the fact that the girls have spent 5 years at high school is really weird to me, and may be another reason why I stopped reading originally: I grew out of it, and the girls didn't grow with me.

I think I'm reading these just because of inertia by now. There's practically nothing in here of the WITCH I read as a child - and it isn't good on its own either.

Characterization, world building, continuity, what are those? These girls look pretty and they do cute things, so they shouldn't bother with those, I guess.

There is more than what GR has in their archive, which I will continue to read I guess.

Something about this book (or maybe this arc in its entirety) is how much it reminds me of the earliest books in the series. We got to travel to another world in this one. The fast world. And although I felt some of the battles and events moved very quickly there, I feel like it ended on a strong note that made me nostalgic for the old books the same way the first two in this arc did. Now that I've finished this arc, it's clear to me that it's a major improvement from the last two, and I had so much fun with it.

I also love that this one is longer. It's kind of nice, because even though the last few chapters had nothing to do with the "main" storyline, which was wrapped up in the first half of the book, we got some fun side stories that added depth to the characters. We also got to see some familiar faces return (some of which I'd admittedly forgotten about), and enjoy some *mostly* nonmagical moments with the girls at the end there, especially with the last two chapters. The last few arcs ended their third volumes with fewer pages than usual, so I love that we got some extra stuff in this one.

And I'm pretty sure this is my favorite cover of all the W.I.T.C.H. books. At first I didn't think it had anything to do with the book itself, and it kind of doesn't, but it also kind of alludes to the importance of music with Irma at one point, so I thought that was cool.

The girls are definitely more grown up. They're still kids, but they're maturing. They look and act in ways that they didn't in the earlier books. And their bond is still strong. I'll miss this series when it's over; I hear there are only two arcs left. But it's been such a pleasant journey so far.

A bit of a disappointing conclusion to this arc. First chapter felt so rushed, we literally won a war we’ve never even heard of before on page 36 & I was like what? After that chapter ended the storyline ended & the rest was just filler (like a good 75% of this book). I don’t mind filler, but not when it’s the entire book. Like it was cute & I enjoyed most of it, but I needed more action. The villain in this story had quite a lot of potential, but that’s all it was: potential. She fell flat & just like she was introduced in a jiffy, she disappeared again soon after. A lot of things also didn’t really make sense, which often happens in these, but in this volume there were just too many cases. Hoping the next arc will do better.

This arc still had some good bits - the art is often adorable and I like that we're getting a lot of slice of life (- the filler episodes are simply the best). But you can clearly feel the decline by now. The general idea behind the story in this arc is great (magic school !!!) but it just doesn't reach its full potential. Even as a kid reading this arc, I remember making up my own stories with the same premise, because even then I thought that the actual comic didn't properly deliver.
The most annoying thing: So many things don't make sense and continuity is increasingly thrown out the window. It's a bit frustrating.

Will and the girls seek out William in the Fast World, only to be caught up in a war that will reveal the truth behind a fearful kingdom and the actions of the traitorous Liam - and when the dust settles, it isn't long before the they realize the magic of Heatherfield will always keep them on their toes! Gnone brings another interesting arc to an adequate close, rounding off with some fun quips and enjoyable art, along with some entertaining self-contained adventures for the avid fans at heart. Can W.I.T.C.H possibly save William, the Fast World and Earth without any casualties?!

"We'll leaf through the pages of time. We'll read them all and no story will be left untold. For you are unique, amazing, extraordinary and 100% W.I.T.C.H.!"

Nice conclusion to the arc and love the one offs (gotta love filler) and explain that the elements are far more connected then once thought.
