Ruby Dixon is an author of Science Fiction Romance. She likes fated mates, baby-filled epilogues, and cinnamon roll heroes. She also likes to write biographies of herself in the third person, because it feels more important that way.
Ruby also loves coffee and dirty books and will probably be a cat lady at some point. :)
Al tener tan pocas paginas lo lees en apenas 20 minutos y sin embargo te deja con una gran sonrisa mucho tiempo despues, me gusto especialmente que la narradora fuese Lauren, una de las protagonistas femeninas que mas me gustan.
Another fun, fluffy interlude that gives screenshots of what's going on at Icehome . . . and makes me really, really interested in Tia's eventual story.
This was super cute and super short (about 20 pages), you can read it on the author’s website. A fun little check in with the Ice Home crew (it’s titled as book 9.5 so definitely read the couples up to this point) getting ready for No-Poison day (aka Christmas). Lauren is struggling with what to get her mate K’thar for the holiday and asks many of the other ladies what they’re planning on getting their mates. Lots of gift ideas and filling up boots from Santa!
This is a very short story all from Lauren's perspective in the Icehome series. It is Christmas time at the Icehome camp, and Lauren is trying to figure out what to get her mate for the holiday. Just a fun, quick read!
These No-Poison Day's are always fun to read about. So many things are wrong, but the spirit is there. I hated that Lauren was having a hard time coming up with a gift for her mate. In the end she found the perfect thing. I also loved the boots, I think the men were more excited about that than the women.
Notably, this story actually isn't part of Dixon's Kindle Unlimited library. It's a short story posted for free on her website, so if you're looking for it, head there first!
I found this cute, but honestly, I don't remember anything about it anymore lol. I really need to write my reviews for these shorts right away. They're so fluffy that they don't have a great deal of staying-power.
I'm lowering to 2-stars because the impact of it proved to be extremely small.
I live for these little in-between stories. They are just what you need and they are usually always about No-Poison day which is the cutest.
We get more of Lauren in this snippet- which is great since we haven’t really gotten her back since the first book. Love how we get little glimpses of everyone as she tries to figure out her gift.
It’s a cute little addition. Found on her website.
Un relato navideño cortito, precioso e imprescindible si eres lectora de Dixon y sus aliens 😍 Es divertido y tierno. Se puede conseguir como bonus (gratis) en la web de la autora junto con otros relatos.
A cute short story bringing Not-Poison day to the Icehome settlement, but more about the true meaning of giving. Even if you're only vaguely familiar with the characters of this world, this short will leave a smile on your face.
This is a review for Twas the Night Before No-Poison Day and A Gift for Drenol.
Just when I thought I had read all there was about this distant ice planet, I noticed these coming up in searches when I was uploading my review for the other books in the series. I had no idea these existed as they weren't on kindle unlimited, but that makes sense. These aren't even long enough to be novellas, and I was able to finish both within 40 minutes. They are truly just snippets of the lives of some of my sweet friends. These are decidedly not filthy, but they will go under the shelf because that's where all the others are, and I don't want them to be separated.
I'm so stinking glad these exist. They're both Christmas, I mean No-Poison Day, themed. In Twas the Night Before No-Poison Day, Lauren is wondering aimlessly around camp trying to think of the perfect gift for K'thar, and it was so nice to check in with everyone even if this is set more in the middle of the series.
In A Gift for Drenol, we get an unprecedented look into what makes some of the other elders tick (besides Vaza). Poor Drenol has not had an easy life, and in this short story, has was able to make a sweet little friend that I know is going to be a bright spot for him in his old age.
Twas the Night Before No-Poison Day is a heart warming slice of life story as Lauren frets over coming up with a gift for K’Thar while the beach tribe is preparing for the Not Hoth version of Christmas. The alien interpretations of human Christmas traditions are delightful in this free short that is Ruby Dixon’s gift to her adoring readers of Ice Planet Barbarians and Ice Home. Thank you, Ruby!
4 stars -- Okay, this was pretty adorable. I meant to read a different Christmas short story, so I was surprised when it felt later than I was expecting at Icehome, but I still didn't feel any stories.
I think what I enjoyed the most is that while this was from Lauren's POV, and about her quest for a gift for K'thar, we actually got to see glimpses of everyone at the camp, having a great time, being thoughtful and loving towards one another, though not without strife (poor Sessah). I especially loved how excited all the blue guys got about "Santa". So cute.
Lauren is going around camp trying to get an idea what to give K’Thar for No-Poison day. Poor Sessah prepared a gift for Tia but I’rec beat him to it 😭🥺 poor baby. I’rec really made a bad name for himself so far 😭Lauren and K’Thar are so adorable and the gift exchange at the end was heartwarming. Fluffy stories on Noth-hoth are just the best 🥹💗

Christmas on the Ice Barbarian Planet... no no Christmas No -Poison Day on the beach camp. Lauren doesn't know what to give to her alien as a gift and going around the camp meeting with the other characters of story to inspired or ask the others of gift ideas. Easy short reading
This was a cute, short read that follows Lauren as she searches for the perfect gift for her mate, K'thar.
Sometimes, finding the right gift for someone special can be challenging—it has to feel just right. That's exactly what Lauren experiences in this story. It was a lovely glimpse into the No-Poison Day celebration for the Icehome tribe, and I enjoyed seeing snippets of the other characters' everyday lives as well.
A very short slice of life , a Christmas gift from Ruby Dixon. I love anything to do with the blue barbarians and ice planet. Wish it was longer and I always want more!!!!
❤️❤️❤️ this series (Icehome) AND it’s sister series, the one that started it all (Ice Planet Barbarians). It’s the kind of series that grabs your attention and holds it through each book. I’m hooked!
