I’m known for being an asshole. It suits me. I’m that guy who jokes about love and how settling down is overrated. Why would a guy ever fall for one woman when he can have as many as you want? Makes no sense to me.

But if being a cop has taught me anything, it’s that life is unpredictable. And that is exactly what Katherine is. I question my sanity on a daily basis because of that woman. Sometimes, she makes me want to keep her to myself, and other times, she makes me want to jump off a cliff just to get away from her.

Yet, I still find myself turning into that little pussy I said I’d never be. Showing up at her front door holding flowers, only to have her throw them at me. Calling just to say hello, only for her to press ignore. Yeah, I’ve become a pussy all right. A whipped one, at that. At first she was a challenge, but now I don’t like the fact that she is playing hard to get. But when someone comes after me, threatens my job, my life—it’s her who stands by my side. It’s her who has to pay for my sins, and it’s her who I’m threatened to lose. One thing that you need to know about me is that I'll fight for what I believe in. And I believe in her more than myself.

What’s that saying? Boy meets girl and the rest is history…Well, those who fuck with what is mine will become history.

Welcome to my world. The world of Parker O’Hare.

It was absolutely amazing. It was everything I thought it would be, yet nothing like I'd thought it would be- all at the same time. Shantel did NOT disappoint! A must read. You do not have to read the previous books to enjoy this one. Everything you need to know about Parker you get in glimpses of his past- short n to the point flashbacks that paint an excellent picture of the Parker we met in the last couple of books.

“I tried to be nice at take her flowers yesterday, but obviously not all women like flowers. Figures, she probably likes a knife set so she can use them to chop men’s balls off after she’s done sucking them.”

Gahhhh! I freaking LOVED it. I swooned and died over Parker. I hooted and hollered and opened my heart up to Katherine.
This story was everything I thought it would be, yet nothing like I thought it would be, all at the same time.

I knew this man was going to fall, I just didn’t predict how hard. I knew it would take a special kind of woman to bring him to his knees, but I never pictured a woman like Katherine.

“I allowed my eyes to look her up and down once again. I was being serious when I said she cleaned up nicely. But I know that it doesn’t matter how many times you shower, you can’t wash the bitch off.”

She was absolutely perfect for Parker. She is such a strong character. She says what she wants, does what she wants. She lives by her own rules and never relies on anyone but herself. She learned from an early age that life can kick you when you’re down and one way to save yourself heartache is to not count on anyone else… No matter the battle she fights inside- she will never let it show and it broke my heart that she thought she couldn’t open up to anyone.

And she was doing an excellent job of it---until she met Parker that is.

“Why would you want me?” I whisper. “I’m just a heartless fucking bitch.” I repeat the words he yelled at me last night.

His eyes move away from mine and look at my father’s door one again.
He takes a deep breath and then looks back down at me.

“You have the biggest heart of anyone I know, Katherine. You just hide it really well.”

Parker is a player- he looks at his friends who, according to him, are all insane and lost their minds. One by one they have been getting married, having babies and settled down. They are whipped, they are pussies (according to Parker). Parker O’Hare will never find himself in that situation! At least that is what he always told himself- Until Katherine.

She reached over the table, and the next thing I know, she’s shoving her cake into my face. “Vas te faire encule salaud,” she hisses in my ear before I feel a cold liquid land in my lap. I can literally hear my cock sizzle as if she just put out a fire.

Holy fuck, did she just cuss at me in French? I think I just came.

The opening of this book- classic Parker. I laughed out loud immediately. Parker’s quick witted and dirty thoughts were hilarious.
Katherine and Parker got off on the wrong foot right from the beginning, yet despite hating each other, they somehow also managed to feel this uncontrollable pull toward one another.

Thank you Shantel for another amazing addition to this collection of characters. I hope we get to see more of Parker and Katherine in future books.

“No one’s life is more valuable than the other. But we don’t get to pick and choose who we save. We do our job and at the end of the day that’s all that matters.”
“But what happens when that’s not enough?”

*************************

I seriously I fucking LOVE Parker. I cannot wait for this book. between him and Tate I don't know who's story I'm more excited for. Parker is hilarious and I can't wait to see him brought to his knees with all the shit he gives about love.

I really did enjoy this book. I thought the storyline was interesting enough to keep me intrigued all the way through. The author added just enough angst and drama to keep you turning the pages. I thought the characters and storyline were developed well and also moved along smoothly. This book was actually a quick read for me. I didn't feel anything was missing or passed over.

This book is about Parker, a tough cop who is working in horrible situations and is suffering from the pain and anguish of crime victims, and Katherine (Kat), a sassy, fiery and spirited ER nurse who is playing hard to get with him. Parker is intrigued by her aggressiveness and fighting spirit. She isn’t easy, she sends mixed signals to him but she is worth the challenge! Parker keeps moving forward and tries to figure out a way to move past her hard exterior and find that soft spot where she finally gives in and starts to warm up to him. Her behavior sometimes becomes really crazy, testing his sanity! Parker often feels played but he really puts some effort in for her and shows her that he cares. Parker realizes that she’s actually a very generous and altruistic person and falls in love with her. He doesn’t stop pursuing her and finally he manages to bring her out of her shell.

Quote:
“… I needed someone to love me so I loved myself. I needed a life so I made a life for myself. What can you give me that I can’t give myself?” I demand. … I’ve always accomplished whatever I wanted, but allowing someone in, allowing him in – he can let me down. He can fail. I can fail, and I probably will. …
“Me,” he replies. “The only thing I can give you that you can’t give yourself is me,” he replies softly. …
“Why would you want me?” I whisper. “I’m just a heartless bitch.” …
He takes a deep breath and then looks back down at me. “You have the biggest heart of anyone I know, Katherine. You just hide it really well.” … "I see you, Kat. I see you clear as day and just like the sun, you blind me with how beautiful you are.”

Parker and Kat are just so wonderful to read. They’re fun, which makes them fun to get to know! The book provides some funny and snarky lines that just fit together so well. I loved watching both of them grow as the story continued.

If you are looking for a steamy love story, that is a standalone with a HEA and some light BDSM, then this is the book for you. I think this book was worth the read.

Unpredictable can be read as a stand-alone novel or with the a Undescribeable Series. I recommend reading it with the series that way you get the true feel of Parker O'Hare. If there is one author I can always count on it's Shantel! She has the ability to suck me in from the beginning and Unpredictable was no different. I love the heroine in this story. She's a heartless, cold-hearted, crazy bitch. Katherine is so different from your typical goody two shoe, miss perfect character. She's REAL. The sex, she tells it like it is.. And you sure don't want to be the man who pisses her off. Parker is a sarcastic son of a bitch who I have grown to love SO much! You know your boyfriends annoying best friend? The one who always wants him to nail new girls, going drinking all the time and is always encouraging him to get into trouble? Yeah.. Well that's Parker! It's so funny seeing him fall. The drama at the end of the story just added that much more flare! It's an open ending which means... We may get more of Kat & Parker and all of the crazy gang!! I can't wait!xoxo

This one is hard to rate. For the first half of the book I was fairly sure I was never going to like Parker or Kat. I didn't hate them - I just didn't like them. Kat acted... like a crazy bitch. There is just no other way to describe it. She has zero control over herself and was impulsive in a "there's a stain in the kitchen so let's just burn the whole house down" kind of way. Parker wasn't much better. He does and says some incredibly douche things - even after he supposedly likes her.

All that said at about the half way mark - they both start to soften and that's when I really started to enjoy the story. I still didn't get - and don't get why there was a love connection. Kat wasn't a particularly likable character even after she lost a little of her crazy. Parker eventually grew on me and I kind of loved him by the end.

The ending...I did not see that coming (but I should have). I'm hoping there will be another addition to their story.

My Review:

My first Shantel Tessier read and I am in awe of her skills. Upon completion of this book, I promptly added everything in her Goodreads listing to my TBR. I found her characters to be fully inhabited, prickly – yet likable, and profoundly interesting. Ms. Tessier is obviously a keen observer of human nature and gives an acutely insightful view into her characters’ thoughts and habits. This couple was quite explosive together in both good and bad ways. He starts off being a near total prick while she presents as an impulsive and unbalanced shrew, and in combination - they seem to bring out the worst in each other for quite some time. Both are witty, smart, hard-working, and big hearted, yet each possesses a painful history, hair-trigger temper, and are eternally angry and prone to viciously lashing out verbally and/or aggressively when upended. But we find there are reasons for this, and the unravelling of their story was fascinating, well-paced, and beautifully written. Their journey is moving, devastating, and volcanically hot. More please.

Honestly, this series is just so damn reliable!

Katherine and Parker seriously had me DYING with their rather unique, hysterical banter! And the push and pull, battling emotions, stripping themselves bare to each other...perfection. Very well, realistically put together.

PS - the bullet in the underwear shenanigans? Thank you, Shantel.

ARC: I loved this story. It is in duel POV's which is my favorite. Parker and Kathrine were made for each other. As much as neither one wanted love, that's exactly what they got in the end. The journey to get there though was very hard and challenging. I think my favorite part was the Viagra. You need to read to find out what that's all about. Just know it's hilarious!!!!!!
This story is full of laughs, hot sex, anger, fear, happiness, trust, and love. It can be read as a standalone, but there are previous books with some of the other characters like Slade and Samantha's story that can be read before as well.
Thanks for allowing me to read and review for you! I would gladly do it again. I loved Parker!!!!!

This wonderful story can be read as a standalone. As the title says this was an unpredictable read. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The two main characters Parker and Katherine are brilliant. I really loved that Katherine was such a strong character. She's also crazy which I loved. The chemistry between these two is oh so hot. I loved the storyline. There was enough angst to make me happy:)

I'm really not gonna go on about the storyline. All I'm gonna say is this is a must read. It's wonderful. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.

LEEANN'S REVIEW
5 STARS

If you have read the other books in this series you will know all about Parker. He is the playboy that swears he is never going to fall in love or get married. He doesn’t do relationships, period!!
Even watching all of his best friends partner up get married and start families doesn’t change his mind.
Until he arrests Katherine. She is his game changer.

Katherine has a lot on her plate. She looks after her father who has alzheimer’s and needs around the clock care, she works full time as a nurse & has a moron ex- boyfriend that just will not go away.
The day she is arrested, she is at breaking point & almost breaks Parkers nose when he has to arrest her.

They both never want to see each other again… Than both their best friends are getting married to each other & both Katherine & Parker are in the bridal party!!!!

This is a story that has lots of laugh out loud moments. The stuff these two say to each other can be quite funny at times, but then switch to being hurtful as quick as you blink your eyes.
At times you may wish you had tissues nearby and at the very end you will get a big shock when you find out who has tried to stop them getting their happy ending and done some
awful and unforgivable things. I truly did not see that one coming.

This story ticked all the boxes for me, humour, angst, steamy, sexy, lusty, sad, anticipation, emotional, two kick arse lead characters, a lower than scum villain and a huge twist that was shocking.

I would highly recommend this book to everyone!!

TATIA'S REVIEW
4.5 STARS

Unpredictable. This story turned out to be so much more than I thought. Between the bit of drama we have to keep it all interesting, the array of colorful characters that we get a glimpse of, and the main characters, Katherine and Parker, who are not what I expected at all.
Katherine is ... wow. There are numerous words that I could use to describe her, but I won't. They're not nice words. She's a nurse, has a huge heart, is responsible for caring for her dad who has Alzheimer's, and carries the weight of the world on her shoulders. She doesn't need anyone. With an attitude the size of Texas, she easily wards people off. If you like independent heroine's that take no crap from anyone, she's the one for you. She backs down from no one, including the cop that's trying to arrest her.
Parker is a cop. He sees things on a daily basis that are most people's worst nightmare. He's also the epitome of the word bachelor. He uses women for one thing, to get off. All of his friends are married or about to be, but that doesn't make him want it. He doesn't see the appeal. He's a douchebag. That's the simplest way to put it. But he meets a girl that pushes all of his buttons. She's the male version of him. He shouldn't be attracted to her, but he is. It can all only lead to one thing - TROUBLE.
I loved Katherine and Parker. They pushed each other, resisted the pull as hard as possible, yet somehow they worked. They're both rough around the edges, having certain problems throughout life that have made them that way. It's also these that have made them as strong as they are, able to do their job so well. It's also what will either make or break them.
This story was a great quick read that I flew through. It was one that I got sucked in to and was left satisfied, yet wanting more all at the same time. If you're a fan of Shantel Tessier's work, you won't be disappointed with this one. You'll fall in love with these characters that you simultaneously want to throat punch while giving them a hug. Ultimately, you'll be glad you gave it a try.

I need to preface this review with the fact that I haven't read any of Shantel Tessier's books but having the opportunity to read Parker and Katherine's story had me "one-clicking" her box set as soon as I finished this book. I was invested from the start and found myself routing for this unlikely pairing. Parker is a player / manwhore and makes no apologies about his lack of morals when it comes to the opposite sex because he doesn't believe in love so why bother. Parker chose to be a police officer in order to help people and even though he is the local Lothario he has a heart of gold when it comes to his loved ones. At the tail end of an extremely trying shift Parker gets a call about a domestic dispute along with an arrest. Never in his wildest imagination would he think he would be escorting the beautiful woman he arrested down the aisle two weeks later...
Katherine is an emergency room nurse at a busy St. Louis Hospital and she is also the female equivalent of Parker! Kat makes no apologies for liking sex nor does she want a relationship / love story. This woman has no qualms about who or what she is, you can either take her or leave her and she will cuss you out in a heartbeat in not one but two different languages. The only weakness in Kat's armor is her father who is suffering from Alzheimer's disease so when her scumbag ex-boyfriend questions her father's well-being fists start to fly (literally) and Katherine gets to meet one of the most arrogant jerks on the St Louis PD. Then she gets the shock of her life when this same jerk is her escort and proceeds to insult her and then flirt with and they call her crazy...
Five star read with something for everyone. Angst / drama / mystery / and even some kink with the steamy hot love scenes that she writes and like I said previously she found a fan in me :)

This is the final book in the ' UN' series.

Shantel has most definitely set the series to rest with a bang.

We met Parker in Uncontrollable and I was kinda besotted with him as he is the mate we all have that is a bit of a clown, not one to settle down and when love hits them, it's a joy to behold.

He is definitely the joker of the pack, a laid back guy, who loves his Puss Puss(his cat) and pussy in equal amounts.

We met Kat in unforgettable as Missy's friend with the scary dog called 'Boner'.

Kat's Character is hard as nails, events from her past make her what she is and as she was brought up by her father, she doesn't take any messing from the men in her life.

“The difference between you and I is that I don’t care what others think of me. You call me a crazy bitch. But I am what I am. I don’t hide that. You hide behind a badge and your fake smile every day.”

I loved Parkers transition from playboy to whipped. He couldn't beleive it himself, and made for some great comedy moments.

Parkers character has always had a good heart and is fiercely loyal to his friends and those he holds close.

The sexy bits of this book are great, and I love how Shantel put Parker in his place as he really met his match with Kat and knocked him down a peg or two.

I enjoy Shantel's writing as there is always a 'who dun it' element which delivers something more to the reader.

I wasn't disapointed with the outcome of this book and I think in some respect it's one of Shantel's darker endings which, I think shows her confidence to bring more to the characters and not be afraid to make them hurt and feel.

I have mixed emotions now we are saying goodbye to a memorable group of friends but excited to hear some new words from this fantastic author.

Kathrine has been in the hospital with her father, he fell down the stairs. When she got home from the hospital, her ex boyfriend was in the house. He says that he isn't leaving until he got the truck. She isn't going to give it to him. It takes a special kind of person to be a cop and Parker was that person. He was called to an accident and a little girl was killed because she wasn't in her car seat right. Then he was called to a domestic violence. When he showed up he was at Kathrine's house, they never met before. She head butted him because she thought that it wasn't any of his business. Kathrine's best friend is getting married to Tate, Parker's best friend.
Katherine is a ER Nurse, her mother left her when she was six years old. She is taking care of her father for the past two years with his Alzheimer's, she has a Pit Bull. Parker is a police officer, his father is the mayor. He doesn't like his father, has a cat. Ashley is Katherine's friend, has a younger daughter, Nurse. Tate is Parker's friend, lives with Parker and Milly. Milly is Tate's fiance and lives with Parker, Katherine's friend. Slade is Parker's friend married to Sam, has a daughter. Sam own's a bakery, Milly's friend, has a child.
This is my first book by Shantel Tessier and it will not be my last. The story was well written, the character's were very well developed. I loved that I was hooked from the first page. I truly loved that I could connect with the characters. I highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

Happiness is reading a brilliant book like UNPREDICTABLE by Shantel Tessier. This book was impossible to put down it was that good. I just loved bad boy Parker. He stole my heart at the very beginning of the story when he delivered food to the grieving mother. From that moment on I was his biggest cheerleader. However, he didn't make it easy for himself, going to strip clubs, calling the girl you love a hooker, and generally being an ass were not winning Katherine around. But he did make her laugh, was fiercely protective and loyal. Death, drugs and drama were the twists in this storyline, do these prevent the super sexy Parker getting his girl? I can't say but I know that this book has it all. It will make you laugh, cry, scream and shout, but above all fall totally in love with it. I am new to the writing of Shantel Tessier but have heard great things and can now agree with these things 100% Well done on an excellent book I award it 5 stars ~ Rosie

There is anger, laughter, pain, jail cells, and real emotion packed into this one story!

Parker and Missy. Oil and Water. Gas and Fire. Ice cream and Mustard. These are examples of things that should not necessarily be mixed, but sometimes when you do the results are amazing! (Not the ice cream and mustard one, that's just nasty!)

Have you ever read a book where you wanted to climb in and shake BOTH of the leads because, at every turn, they did something so ridiculous that you want to snap? But in a good way? I loved read the antics of Missy, she is a hoot. She is also the one person I would be afraid of.

Parker is a whore, plain and simple. He can come warm my bed anytime he wants to though, as long as my husband isn’t intimidated. He is also cocky, but from what I read, he has every right to be.

Unpredictable is a spin off and can be read without having to read the other series.~ Devlynn, 4 stars

Parker has always been the guy that made fun of his friends when they finally met their match, but what happens when life throws him a curveball?

When Parker is called to the scene of a horrific accident his emotions are tore out the frame, and as a parent, that scene had me an emotional mess! Shortly after he is called to a domestic scene, and that bitch is crazy! Both of these event impact Parker, but he never thought he would cross paths with Katherine, aka crazy bitch, again.

Unpredictable is Parker's story. Parker has previously been see as one that puts himself first, only out for one thing, BUT within this story you see Parker in a new light. In fact, you may begin to realize why he has a cat named PussPuss. In reading Parker's story, you will see he has a heart of gold, and when he protects something he gives it 200%.

So prepare yourself for this standalone. You will laugh, possibly cry, cuss, and fall in love with Parker.

I first off have to say I hands down LOVED this book!

Payton is on beautiful ballsy chick. She has the looks and body to die for and she loves sex. Lately though something is just missing in her life. She has lots of rules and they are all about to be broken. Dominic instantly wants Payton and is willing to pay the asking price. When things get started it isn't the typical evening Payton has come to expect while at work. Dominic turns her world upside down and is breaking her rules tearing down her walls. When the evening ends they realize they both have mutual friends and end up franticly reconnecting. Payton has just walked away from her job because of this man so when he asks her to fly to Japan with him she has nothing to loose- except maybe her heart. Things go well and the sex is off the charts hot but as I could expect it doesn't say that way. Now that they have space from each other will they find their way back?
Fantastic ending.

Omg this book had me rolling

I laughed so hard with the banter between these characters, plus the suspense had me freaking out. Shantel never disappoints.

Baby wipes, cat named Puss Puss, superman boxers, head butting. These are parts of this book that made me laugh so hard I couldn't breathe.

I was so excited to dive into Parker's story and I'm so glad he found his match. Katherine is a firecracker and she doesn't take crap off no one. Even officer Parker.

I haven't been a huge fan of this series, but this was my favorite out of it. I really enjoyed Kat & Parker's story, it didn't feel as....repetitive....regurgitated....not sure the word I want to use here LOL... as the others. You can definitely see the author's growth through this series, and she has grown in leaps and bounds between the very first book and this one.

**JOSIE'S REVIEW**

I have been a fan of Shantel Tessier’s ever since I read her Undesirable series. Each book she writes never falls short. I have always wanted to get my hands on Parker’s book and I am so glad to have gotten this opportunity. Unpredictable was AMAZING! Parker was everything I imagined his character would be and so much more. The author did not disappointment at all. This novel was written in the present tense but Shantel also threw in some flashbacks on past events so we could have a better understanding of Parker. The story is well written and flows perfectly. The characters are well developed, lovable, complicated and funny.

Parker is the epitome of a male whore. His character is true to form. He loves women but does not believe in love. There has never been a woman to hold his interest until he meets Katherine or shall I say until he arrested her for domestic violence. Gosh I love Parker. I fell in love with him in the previous books but after reading this book I am a goner. You can tell with the writing and inner dialogue that Katherine was going to be the one to make Parker fall. Parker could not stay away from the bitch as he called her and the reaction his manly parts had with her brash ways.

Katherine’s character is one that is strong and self-reliant. She was raised by her father and has taken care of him and herself without any help. Katherine is not a meek female lead, not at all – she says what she wants, acts like she wants and doesn’t care how people view her. She only wants sex with Parker, but the more Parker pushes the more she starts to allow him in, until he opens his mouth. She doesn’t want or need Parkers help but, Parker for the first time is not willing to let her get away.

I loved that we get to see Slade, Sam, Tate and Missy – who play huge roles in this relationship between Parker and Katherine. Parker sees how his friend’s lives changed because of Sam and Missy and he is not prepared to like them. The banter between the boys is hysterical. I swear I laughed so much when they talked, like is this really what men talk about when women are not around?

“I have a problem.”

“Just the one?”

“This is serious. I took a Viagra and now. Slade? This isn’t a laughing matter. I’ve jacked off three times, and it won’t go away.”

“What would you like me to do for it? I’m not gonna jack you off. Or talk dirty to you.”

The relationship between Katherine and Parker is so nice to read. I loved seeing their relationship unfold and their banter. It was clearly foreplay for the pair. It’s also nice reading Katherine treat Parker like he has done to too many women in the past, he reaction was epic.

“What are you doing?”

“Helping you get dressed.”

“Are you kicking me out?”

“Did you want to stay?”

The author did an amazing job with showing a side of Parker that was different than what we’ve seen in past books. Parker slowly realizes that Katherine is different and he wants more, but she is strong and not used to letting people in. Parker decides he is in this for the long haul and he knows Katherine is scared but he is willing to show her he is serous.

“You have the biggest heart of anyone I know, Katherine. You just hide it really well.”

“I’ve always been good at hiding.”

“I see you, Kat. I see you clear as day and just like the sun, you blind me with how beautiful you are.”

Unpredictable was so enjoyable and engaging. I connected with the characters and the story line as it unfolded. True to form not only is this a romance novel but also considering these men and Parker are cops there is the element of danger. As Parker and Katherine start to get comfortable with each other, Katherine’s life is in danger and Parker being the alpha male that he is will stop at nothing to protect her. Can Katherine let down her walls fully? Can she accept the love Parker has to offer? Parker is used to fighting crime in the streets but will he be able to fight for Katherine’s heart and win? Can Parker and the boys keep Katherine safe from an unknown dangerous and murderous criminal? This book is a standalone but I can’t help but wonder with the way the author ended it if she will give us more to this story that had twists and turns that I never saw coming.

Parker is the best! Loved him through all the books! He is just hilarious 😆👌
This was another drama packed story with a lot of ups and downs 😮‍💨 nice and spicy 🌶️ but also tragic and sad!

This might be 4.75⭐️’s 🤔 I feel like the ending was a bit rushed..

Parker O'Hare's life is pretty predictable, especially when it comes to how he see his future. He's always up for a night with a hot chick where they both get off, but that's where it ends. He never makes promises, and he sure as hell wants nothing to do with the kind of relationships his best friends have. He has his job, his cat, and his good times, and he doesn't need or want more...

Katherine is anything but predictable. She's a walking short fuse who is ready and willing to blow at any time. There's a lot of pressure on her shoulders, and she's never really had anyone to lean on; she's always taken care of and relied on herself, so when someone, especially a cocky bastard like Parker, tries to step in and "save" her, she doesn't know how to handle the situation or him, which puts Kat and Parker in tenuous, yet quite comical circumstances.

It was going to take an extraordinarily strong woman to put up with Parker's bullshit and bring him to his knees, and while Kat didn't want to be that person at the onset of the text for a variety of reasons, as their story continues, she and readers start to understand that she's Parker's perfect match - the one person who throws him off kilter and forces a bit of the crazy in his life - but now, she needs to accept that she can allow someone else to help take care of her...someone she can depend on because if that doesn't happen and both Kat and Parker let their tempers and tantrums get the better of them, they'll both miss out on the one person who can give them the kind of life they never thought they wanted but now desperately need and deserve.

I've always loved Parker in the other books of the series. He comes off like a complete douche, but he has his friends' back and will go above and beyond the call of duty to serve and protect. Sure, he's a cocky asshat and thinks very highly of himself, but there's so much more to him than that, which is exactly what Shantel brings out in Unpredictable. Yes, Parker changes when he realizes his life's course is altered due to his interest in Kat, but Shantel doesn't overhaul is personality completely, which can be the case in some texts. Parker's still the same guy....he just allows some of his other dormant traits to be exposed, which only adds to his character.

Kat seems like an absolute crazy bitch at times but there's reason for that attitude, which is explained through her internal dialogue. Nothing has been easy for Kat, even when she was a little girl, and that has done a significant amount of damage to her and even though she doesn't allow it to knock her down or deter her from what she wants to do, it does shape her and force her to put up barriers and protect herself by fighting back at all costs.

There's definitely nothing predictable about Parker and Kat as a couple, which makes their story highly entertaining, steamy, and volatile...add in some suspense due to one of Parker's ongoing investigations and Shantel Tessier gives readers a text that will have readers laughing out loud, swooning, cringing, and worrying how everything is going to play out for not only Parker and Kat but those who step in to help as well.

I knew Parker's happy ending was going to be paved with road blocks, speed bumps, fuck ups, and a whole lot of bitching and attitude, which is exactly what happens in Unpredictable. He's not an easy man to be around, which is perfect since Kat isn't an easy woman to be around either; you would think that all of that attitude in one place would be too intense, and while it is, at times, the intensity gets turned into anger fueled sex which keeps them both coming back for me.

Unpredictable is a spinoff of the Undescribable series and can be read as a standalone. But if I were you and you haven't read the Undescribable series I would start from the beginning so you can meet everyone that is mentioned in this book. Shantel Tessier delivered big time with Parker and Katherine's story! It was everything I wanted in a book for Parker and more. The story is told in alternating POV's of Parker and Katherine. These two main characters both have amazing sense of humors and are not afraid of fighting for what they want. Plus they both have high sex drives.

When Parker O'Hare first came on the scene as Slade's loud mouthed best friend in the Unbearable, I just knew he would have his own story to tell. We all know Parker as the fun-loving, man-whoring, outspoken, and kind of obnoxious guy. As the reader we have grown accustomed to his crude comments and his funny jokes. Now we have his POV and we can see what kind of a guy he is: a guy with a caring heart. I knew Parker was going to find love someday, but it would have to be a special lady that will be able to to bring him to his knees.

We meet Katherine who is the perfect match for Parker because he is perfect for her. Parker and Katherine have a very incredible first meeting when Parker had to arrest Katherine. Katherine is a very strong, feisty, and determined young lady who goes after what she wants and not letting some guy or someone walk all over her to get it. Yes, of course Parker is a man-whore who needs love too and I kept cheering for both him and Katherine to get over their stubborn ways and just be together!! I loved how Katherine kept Parker on his toes and vice verse. I loved that Katherine is not your everyday leading lady in a romance story that needs a man to to live and breathe. She proves she is so much more and I love that about her and how Parker knows how to deal with her. I fell so hard for Parker in this book. He really does have a big caring heart that made me melt inside.

This story was exciting, hilarious, sexy, and heart-breaking at times. Parker and Katherine are a perfectly matched couple. The whole cast from the series are in this story which is always nice to see what everyone is up to. The story ends with me wanting to read more of Parker and Katherine. There will have to be another book because I am not finished with their story! I also want to say, I wish we could get a story about Holly and Josh. I would love a little view into their love story!!

Man, talk about being late to the party. I loved Parker and his friends, the more I learned about their backgrounds, the more I knew I needed to start this series from book one and not book five. Unpredictable can be read as a stand alone and I didn't feel lost at all. Shantel Tessier did a great job at quick backgrounds on each of her characters to get her readers up to speed.

Right off the bat I loved Katherine. She is a total bitch and wears it like a badge of honor. Kathrine is an ER nurse that works nights and spends her days taking care of her ailing dad. To say life is a bit stressful for her right now is an understatement. Due to some past trauma, Katherine isn't one to lean on a guy. She learned from a young age to guard her heart and don't count on anybody else for anything.

Parker is kind of in the same boat as Katherine on his relationship views. He is the good time guy. Always looking for the next piece of ass, although all of his friends are married now so he trolls along. He sees them as pussy-whipped, something he will never be. Parker is a cop at night and works at a security firm with his buddies during the day. He meets the delightful Katherine in the worst way possible. He thinks the girl is a crazy, rude bitch and can't help himself from being totally attracted to her.

Kathrine isn't sure what it is about Parker, but something is making her take more than a second look at him. He keeps coming around no matter what she throws at him and she kinda likes it. Katherine is friends with Missy, who is marrying Parker's friend Tate, so they are all one big semi-happy family. Now only if Parker can get Kat to see he's the one for her.

The round and round with this couple is absolutely refreshing. There is none of that lovey dovey crap from them. They are down and dirty and I loved every page of it. Of course things start to change for both of them, feelings get exposed and we see that Parker can really be a stand up guy if he wants to.

"I see you Kat. I see you clear as day and just like the sun, you blind me with how beautiful you are" ~ Parker

Sweet!! There's the Parker I knew was hiding under all those muscles and one liners. The book was great. Sexy as hell and very funny. My one tiny complaint would be about Parker's dad. It seemed like we were missing some information about who he really is and what he has been up to all along. Other than that, this is an excellent stand alone novel.

Parker is a Police Officer, Katherine is an RN – Both tough, independent people who were not looking for a relationship let alone love, but fate had a way of working its way into both their hearts but not without a lot of chaos first.

Their meeting was purely accidental. While on duty one night, Parker responded to a call and of all the houses it could have been, it turns out to be Katherine’s. He comes upon a very irate, upset Katherine who is arguing with her ex-boyfriend about a car that he wants to take, saying it belonged to him. Katherine was having no part of it even though it was in both their names, she was keeping it. Parker tries to resolve the issue, Katherine kind of goes crazy and the next thing you know he is arresting both her and the ex.

But there was something about Katherine that Parker liked. Yes, she was beautiful and sexy but it was her fierceness and independence that really perked his interest. Also, underneath his macho exterior was a caring man with a heart. After all, no matter how impenetrable both of them appeared, they were in the business of helping and caring for others. She was no exception for him. It didn’t hurt that she was friends with some of his friends; although, they had never met each other prior to his arresting her.

Their journey was not hearts and flowers, it was a tough rocky road, with many obstacles related to their pasts, but in the end, they find the love they never knew they wanted with each other. The sex scenes were hot and I have to mention that there was an element of surprise from Katherine when it came to her sexual gratification. It is one that so many women will read and say, it’s about time someone wrote the sex scenes based in what is reality for many women.

This is a standalone novel, but if you did read Shantel’s Indescribable series like I did, you will enjoy catching up with many of the characters from those books. I really enjoyed this story.

description

What are you to do when if thing goes from bad to worse? What happens when life takes you on a journey with an ending you never expected? Well Parker and Kat will learn that even if you never expected it love does have a way of sneaking in and delivering an ending neither anticipated.
Kat doesn't do love because to her love has been nothing but heartache and pain. What better way to protect yourself then by putting a wall around your heart and fight it at every turn? Parker loves women and women just happen to love Parker back except the one woman who just doesn't realize that she is taming a player.
Kat and Parker's first meeting is not a good one. Even with getting off with the worst start ever, it doesn’t take them long until let the chemistry, that is pouring out of the two, is too much to ignore. Their passion ignites a firestorm of a relationship. Kat by nature is independent and does not like to show any kind of emotion other than anger and pain but it comes from a place of pain .

This story had me hooked from beginning till the end Parker and Kat will draw you into their passion and have you wanting more. The suspense in this book alone will have you wondering what just happen and who did it. The ending to this book along left me reeling and saying I did not see that happening. From the passion and the suspense that left me wondering if this is the end or the beginning. This book is going into my favorite pile because once again Ms. Tessier has left me speechless.

* * * * * 5 Star Review.

When your mantra is be strong and never need a man in order to survive, it will be very difficult to let your guard down when someone is trying to help you and love you. How far are you willing to push the only man that is falling in love with you fast?

Katherine was a very strong will person, now having to face life with her ill father is very difficult to believe in love when the one person that is supposed to love you walks out on you when your a child. Having a horrible day she meets Officer Parker O'Hare the man that will put her world upside down.

Officer Parker O'Hare was among his friends a player never sleeping with the same girl twice yet only a few people knows how big is heart is. He had a one rule and one rule only never fall in love with anyone he wanted to protect his heart but when he meets Katherine she will leave an imprint in him that will make him rethink his priorities.

Can this two crazy passionate souls make their explosive relationship work or will they destroy the little heart they have left?

WOW!! Unpredictable is by far the best of book so far by Shantel. This is one hell of a book and it will leave you wanting more. If you are not familiar with this amazing series I will recommend for you to start as soon as possible. You will not be disappointed.

Omg I fell in love with slade and Sam's story but I have totally fallen for Parker slades best friend.
We met Parker when he turned up for slade and Sam's wedding, he loves women! And said he'd never fall for a woman he didn't need one person, until he meets Kat, after arresting her and having her break his noses Parker is sure she's crazy, he still feels that way after finding out she is is friends new wife's friend. It was great to see them fight against there feeling both not wanting to give it away to the other it takes a great loss for both of them to bring them to there true feelings and finally love each other. The end of this book makes you realise just how strong a person Kat is and it makes you want to scream and shout for help for her, you feel all her pain and her strength to keep fighting, and yes Parker saves her. I hope we will get to see more of Kat and Parker in future stories. This can be read as a stand alone but makes it a better read if you read them all.
