Secrets of Spring is book 3 in the Seasons of Jefferson series, I highly recommend you read the books in this series prior to reading this book. This is a standalone and not a continuation but the characters from the previous are in this story and it will help you better understand what is going on.

This story details the struggle, lies and decisions teenagers have to make. If you have a teenager in your life you want to grab this series. Once I started this book it was hard for me to put down. Jenna’s character called to me when I first met her and I was grateful to finally get to her story. I loved how the story and details Julie and Tracy added to this story kept me glued to my Kindle. They made me laugh, cry, scream, swoon and fall in love. I am not even going to mentioned the added twist, turns and OMG moments that came with this book. You really just need to experience this for yourself.

The characters bought this story to life and I swear I connected to Jenna and Ty immediately. Jenna has not had an easy life, what she portray to the outside world is far cry from the reality. She is strong, loyal and innocent. In the previous books we see how much her friends rely on her but never really got to know her character. I was not prepared for the roller coaster ride and shock of learning more about her background and what she and her family suffered. Jenna wants to be normal and enjoy all the things other children her age do. Peer pressure is real, and in this book we get a front row seat of just how damaging it can be. Ty is to die for, like if I was 20 years younger I would snatch him up. He was protective, caring, and supportive and valued his relationship with Jenna. I loved watching Ty and Jenna grow from a friendship to more. The banter, flirtation and their love of sports really made their connection believable. Secrets of Spring felt real and sheds light to the issues that our kids face every day in life. I think the authors did a spectacular job in detailing with the issues that we as parents do not see. I’ve read most of the books in the No Prisoners MC series and was glad to finally get Snakes story. I will start off by saying that although Snakes downfall was MC related most of those book followed Snake and Amanda. I say that as a good thing because the focus was on the two main characters and I really enjoyed it.

Snake was betrayed and left for dead by the brothers he thought would have is back. Snake should have died but fate and a good samaritan saved his life. Amanda is a rehabilitation nurse and is brought into Snakes world to help him heal. It is a long round to his recovery but Amanda makes his progress and time at the hospital worth while.

Snake isn’t a nice guy, and his thoughts and his past clearly shed light on this element however we do get to see a different side to him as well. Amanda is a good character, she’s loyal and enjoys her job even though she has to deal with a creepy ex and a roommate dead set on getting into trouble.

Snake is conflicted because he wants revenge but also likes the life he has with Amanda, the woman who doesn’t judge him on his pasts. There is conflict between Amanda and Snake he knows he’s no good for her and he does some douche like things. I loved how the author handles their relationship. There is no instant love but more of an attraction that develops into a relationship built on mutual respect.

Amanda comes off as naive but she is strong and fierce. She is just the type of person that Snake needs in his life. Snake loves the MC and revenge is his end goal, but the more time he spends with Amanda the more his focus changes. I loved seeing this big bad and broody biker fighting against his protective and possessive feelings. The author did a great job showing his inner struggles.

This was a great read, full of drama, violence, minor angst and some really great sex. I love a good MC story and was drawn to the blurb and cover but I really got more than I imagined. This story was by far the best book I’ve read by this author. ...more

This is the story of Kali. She lost her mother when she was a teenager and learned how to fix things soon after her mother died. She took over her fathers business as an adult. She lives in a small town and even though she is good at her job she still gets looks of shock when she is called to do a job and they realize it is a woman that will be fixing things or building things not a man.

When Brantley Cooper moves to this small town with this twins two years after the mother of his children dies of cancer and calls Kali to do work on his house, Kali’s views about her future and how she sees things takes a turn.

“I was shallow and selfish, and I was okay with that. I didn’t picture my life with kids in it. I was the person who, when asked, “when are you having kids?” said, “Never. I don’t’ want them.”

I loved the chemistry between both Brantley and Kali but what made this book for me was the family dynamics between Brantley and his kids. I think his kids made this book a 4 star read for me. I loved the conversations between the twins and also between Kali or Brantley and the kids. My heart hurt for them a few times. I loved how Brantley tried to be both a mom and dad and was able to accept that he wasn’t perfect but he had to try for the kids.

“You make me laugh,”he said softly, as if he could read my mind. “Sometimes, it feels like I’m nothing more than Dad. But, with you…when you’re around…you make me feel like I’m me again. The person, not just the parent. Almost…Happy.”

The story was well written and had a good flow to it. I loved that the author didn’t feel the need to make up useless drama and kept the plot simple but effective in getting the point across. The story was heart-breaking at points and at others had me reading with a huge smile across my face. I really enjoyed this book from start to finish and look forward to reading more by this author. I’m a huge fan of this author and have read and loved all the Rebel Wayfarer MC books. Fury is Bethany and Gabe story and this one was just as amazing as the others. This author is very talented, she meticulously and strategically connects the stories of different characters into similar time lines. These story as with Fury’s are filled with heartache, betrayals, and are painful. I always find an underlying message within the words of this authors writings. The journey is a long one, one that has so many ups and downs but I know that at the end things will work out.

Bethany is Mason’s little sister, and there’s nothing little about this character. I usually fall in love with the men in this stories but Bethany won this one hands down. She’s gone through so much in life but came out stronger. Despite being betrayed she has a heart of gold and is loyal to those she loves. I bonded with this character instantly, just like in the real world we all make mistakes and we grow from said mistakes. Bethany’s character was just like that she never let her mistakes hold her back, well except for a sexy red headed biker that is.

Fury, I’m sorry I needed him to suffer more. Moving on in the past he was known as Gabe and his past with Bethany wasn’t pretty. It was ugly, I’m talking junk punch ugly. Over the years Fury has changed, his mistakes and his regrets led him to be a better man and a Rebel Wayfarer member. His paths takes him right back to the very woman who has occupied his heart and mind for years.

Fury and Bethany’s past, present and future was laid out perfectly in this story. It’s a story filled with pain, joy and promises. Besides winning back Bethany’s heart we are also settling some old scores. I’m not going to say much because if you haven’t read this series I’ll blow things wide open. I was so glad to that some scores were settled and to see some of my favorite Rebel Wayfarers from previous books. I love how this author has made me part of the Rebel Wayfarer family just by the use of her words. I always can count on getting lost inside her stories that I forget I’m actually not there. I’d hate to see this series end, I’m grateful that there are still more characters screaming to be heard and some unresolved matters left to be resolved . Highly Recommend! ...more
