If the tiara fits, wear it! And that is exactly what Elizabeth Royle intends to do. After all, if you can't be acknowledged as the daughter of a prince, the least you can do is marry one. When Elizabeth, youngest of the notorious Royle sisters, comes face-to-face with her future husband, a man she's seen only in her dreams, she nearly swoons—especially when she discovers he is a prince. But her ecstasy is short-lived as she quickly learns that the man she longs for is betrothed to someone else—a princess, no less. A lesser woman would give up, but Elizabeth is a Royle, after all. Refusing to surrender her dreams of a royal wedding, Elizabeth takes the position of lady-in-waiting to the fiancée, determined to get close to her perfect match. But the lover she desires is not who he seems . . . and only once she discovers the true man behind the crown will she find the perfect love she's been longing for all her life.
Kathryn Caskie has long been a devotee of history and things of old. So it came as no surprise to her family when she took a career detour off the online super highway and began writing historical romances full time.
With a background in marketing, advertising and journalism, she has written professionally for television, radio, magazines and newspapers.
Kathryn lives in a 200 year old Quaker home nestled in the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains with her family, her greatest source of inspiration.
I had a difficult time deciding whether to give the third book in this series a 3 or a 4. The underlying premise of all three books is the possibility of three sisters - triplets- being the secret daughters of the Prince of Wales. This plot running through the three books wasn't one that I enjoyed, so it affected my opinion of each of the books. In this book, the heroine, Elizabeth Royle, has a dream about the man she will marry, and then sees him the next day. The man in her dream, Sumner Landsdowne, Marquess of Whitedale, is pretending to be his cousin, Prince Leopold, who appears to be in danger. Sumner and Elizabeth Royle become attached to one another, but as he is pretending to be his cousin, Sumner has to act like he has an interest in marrying Charlotte, Princess of Wales. Since Elizabeth believes him to be the prince, she wavers between being dismayed by Sumner's supposed relationship with Princess Charlotte and certain that she will marry him as she saw in her dream. I liked Sumner as a hero, but at times his determination to deny himself because of duty became tedious. Elizabeth was a sympathetic heroine, but I became tired of her going back and forth on whether Sumner would come back for her. This was a quick read, and I did enjoy it, just not as much as many of the other books out there.
The title is deceiving - he's not even a prince!!! Now how am I supposed to learn how to propose to one??? Story was ok, but one of the two sex scenes was not too sexy...Thumbs down if you're looking for action.
I liked this book, but I didn't love it. Once again, I jumped into a series without having read the previous books. Having not read the other 2 books, the "mystery" of their birth felt thrown in and not properly developed - which I think would have been different if I'd read the other books. I liked the characters and I liked that Lizzy had her two premonition dreams, however, fate was used to develop their relationship rather than time together talking. The pace was decent and it kept my attention. I liked that the author tried to do something a little different, I just needed a little more relationship development. Overall, a cute story with a little excitement and a lot of instalove.
This is the 7th book off my TBR. I really enjoyed the com kit of this series. I have to say that Elizabeth kind of annoyed me in the first two book due to her outrageous claims and flights of fancy. But, her true spirit shined through this whole book. When her dream was “the prince” she would marry she chased after him with gusto. While he tried to keep himself at arms length he couldn’t resist temptation and love.
Also the epilogue was both sad and sweet. The girls would never know the truth if their birth but they would be safe and happy. She gave them the only thing she could.

I definitely liked How to Engage an Earl better, but only because Elizabeth is everything a youngest sibling is that annoys me. 100% sure of her own self and selfish to boot. I mean, when Sumner tells her his real name and swears her to secrecy, it takes her approximately 10 minutes to tell Mercer and like another day to blab it to her whole entire household.
The most enticing thing about this series was the fact that they would uncover whether or not they were really princesses. I was hoping that the truth would come out finally but I was disappointed by the ending.
Their mother should not have kept the truth from them. It would have been really exciting if Prudence of Cherie let it slip that they really are who they thought they were.

Elizabeth Royle is convinced she’s destined to marry a prince, so when she meets a man claiming to be Prince Leopold of Saxe-Coburg, she knows it’s Fate. Little does she realize that her handsome prince is a decoy. His cousin, Lord Whitevale, is actually the prince, and Sumner—the real Marquess of Whitevale—is posing as the royal to draw asssassins away.
Elizabeth falls in love with a man whose duty supposedly dictates he wed Princess Charlotte, possibly her half-sister. She despairs when Sumner seems to care for her but keeps getting pulled away for affairs of state. Should she believe her senses or what others are telling her about his need for a political match? She can’t compete against a royal princess.
Her association with the prince proves dangerous when a sniper shoots at them. But even though he isn’t meant for her, Elizabeth seeks to protect him. She has to have faith that he’ll find a way back to her as promised.
Secret identity stories are always engaging. Although the reader knows what’s going on, the anticipation is high for when Elizabeth learns the truth. Will she feel betrayed, or will she believe Sumner’s declarations when he says she’s the one who captured his heart?
This was really cute. I didn't realize it was the last book in a series when I got it through bookswap, but it made me want to read the rest of the series anyway. I though it was different, that the author made it known from the beginning that Sumner was not actually the prince. One thing that did strike me as odd though, was when she was staying with the Princess and everyone knew Sumner was no the Prince except for Elizabeth. Elizabeth was still actively pursuing him even though she knew Prince and Princess were most likely going to marry. The Princess knew that Elizabeth liked Sumner, so why didn't it bother her that Elizabeth would go behind the Princesses back and try to pursue her future husband. That didn't seem right, the Princess was too selfish to be ok with that in my opinion.
I also didn't like the very end. The girls were told a lie, and I think they should have been told the truth. Their mother was still living and keeping tabs on them. I think they should have been given the opportunity to know her.
This was a very fast paced and easy to read book. I enjoyed all the little historical tidbits, and I appreciated the factual elements that the author injected.
I thought the characters were sweet, and the seduction spicy. I certainly look forward to reading more from Kathryn Caskie.
I'd read the two previous books in the series some time ago and couldn't remember the story line very well. This book assumed that you had read them quite recently, so I was a bit lost about who people were for parts of the book since she didn't redevelop them. Also, the character development was off. Sumner was posing as Prince Leopold, so I was confused who was who sometimes -- was it the real Sumner or the real Leopold? Also, all of a sudden they were in love, and I wasn't really sure how it happened. I give it three stars though because I can't give it 2.5.
This was fine. Nothing special, but nothing awful either. I know that part of my problem with this book is that it is the third in a series and I did not read the other two. However, I have no intention of going back to the first two. I did not find the premise all that interesting and I wasn't too fond of the author's style. There are plenty of romance writers whose stories I have enjoyed more.
Of the three books this one was just eh for me. I was not really feeling the story and found it dragged alot.
I did like the end when all three couples came together to finally solve the mystery of their parentage. I must admit I still do not full understand the whole thing. It was rather confusing.
Still a nice way to kill time and an interesting series. Some nice steamy scenes to keep you attention!
I liked this book, but not as much as book 2. Sumner was dreamy, but I think it's a dumb name and had a hard time swooning over him because of it. However, I did enjoy this book. The one thing I did not like (aside from his name) was that the girls were told that they are not Prinny's like they had thought and then finding out that they are in fact his royal children but that their mother did not want to tell them! Despite being irritated with that, I really enjoyed this trilogy.

The heroine dreamed about the man she would marry, but I could not determine her reason to LOVE him. The majority of the book focused on the deception, which, with the tiniest bit of perception on the part of the heroine, could have been seen through. She was blinded by her premonition and stayed that way throughtout the entire book. Where is the love????
This conclusion to the Royle Sisters books neatly tied up the story and was the best of the three books. The story was full of mistaken identity that lasted the entire 354 pages. It was a bit tiresome, but at least did resolve satisfactorily.
Romance I love it, I liked the story and the fact that she got her man in the end. But I felt that the romance story was rushed and more could have been told and the author left us with a twist. Maybe she'll write a 4th novel someday.
