Per ara, ja han sortit tots els punts que han fet famós l'autor: cliffhangers eterns, un trauma del protagonista (que al final haurà de superar), trames simultànies…
La traducció és molt dolenta. És plena de falsos amics (ice axe = destral de gel en lloc de piolet), calcs gramaticals, jocs de paraules forçats o perduts…

Havent llegit anteriorment el Codi da Vinci, he de dir que aquest m'ha agradat força més, encara que segueix aproximadament la mateixa trama conspiranoica. A la història, centrada en la NASA, la Casa Blanca i l'ORN, un departament fictici dels EUA, no li falta atracció ni acció i, encara que el desenvolupament és força previsible (suspense amb els protagonistes al llindar de la mort i salvament in extremis, diverses vegades...), el final m'ha agafat desprevingut.
Em sorprèn que no s'hagi portat encara al cinema. Una lectura "best-seller" recomanada.

les primeres 150 pàgines molt bé i les 150 finals també, però m'ha sobrat bastanta teca del mig del llibre...
