Paris: Demon of Promiscuity
Butterfly: on his lower back
His curse: SEX. He has to have it. He NEEDS to have it often, unless he wants to become weak and die. It does not matter if the sexual partner is male or female. It only matters that he will have her/him just one time. A second time is NOT allowed. Even if he does not feel like it, even if he is tired or sick, he must go hunting for sex every single day. Thankfully his fellow Lords are helping him and encourage him often.

Sienna Blackstone: Keeper of Wrath. She used to be a Hunter.
Supernatural ability: She has inherited all the powers that the Demon of Wrath has. She craves violence, senses the sins of anyone nearby and attacks and punishes. She has black wings – just like Aeron used to have- and a butterfly tattoo surrounds the base of them. And nowadays she is immortal of course. Her blood is ambrosia.

Paris’ time:
“Speak all the hell you want. I’m taking what’s mine.”

If you compare Paris from this book to Paris from the first books in the Lord of the Underworld series, you will notice that there are different people. Paris used to be carefree, funny, a willing slut who was having sex with abandonment. He was really enjoying having the demon of looseness as his buddy, as a part of himself.

Nowadays he behaves like Paris’ twin evil brother. Okay, the truth is that he suffered a lot for 8 books in a row:
1. He found the love of his life, until because of him she died.
2. He lost her again, when he chose to save Aeron’s sanity instead.
3. He became dependant on the drug of Gods i.e. ambrosia
4. He behaved as a “bait” multiple times in order to attract and brutally kill as many Hunters as possible for revenge.
5. Lost in his bloodlust, he is losing slowly his humanity and he is becoming a mindless beast.

So, this guy really needs a happy ending.

Sienna is incredible in this book. She does not resemble the weak, scared little mouse that she used to be when she tried to bait Paris a long time ago.

Sienna Blackstone, newly crowned Queen of the Beasts, Princess of Blood and Shadows, and Duchess of Horror, stood with her back pressed into the crumbling stone wall of the castle she unwillingly called home.

The castle where Sienna is held by Cronus is magnificent, medieval style, situated at the Realm of Blood and Shadows and full of stone gargoyles that come to life when they sense danger. It will serve its purpose in this book and in the next books because Lords are never scared of anything.

Sienna’s new job in the end will be a surprise for everyone and it will be awesome. Nothing will be the same any more for the Lords and for the Gods.

The sex scenes between Paris and Sienna will be hot. But I think the major feeling when they are together will be RELIEF. Because they have finally found each other and they share the same feelings.

“We’re a family, you and me, and I love you more than I can ever say.”
“That’s good, because that’s how much I love you.”

Worth mentioning: Four new Demon Keepers are introduced
- Winter: Keeper of Selfness.
- Cameron. Keeper of Obsession.
- Viola. Minor goddess of the Afterlife and keeper of the demon of Narcissism. Anya will have some troubles with her.
- Púkinn: Keeper of Indifference. Half man, half animal, horned, clawed and furred. And apparently destined to play a major role later on in the series.

Third re-read, still epic!

May 27, 2012
As for me, The Darkest Seduction is one of the best books of 2012.

The Darkest Seduction is filled with emotions, surprises and hope.

Paris and Sienna’s love is so heartwarming, the chemistry and intimacy between them is overwhelming. Sienna deserves Paris’ adoration and respect; and Sienna’s tolerance and devotion for him is a balm for Paris’ tortured soul. They are perfect for each other.

I was thrilled about the twists and turns. Stunning facts were revealed and a lot of power changed hands. The plot was complex, with serious conflicts, concerning every participant of their world. There was a perfect balance between the main plot and subplots. The secondary characters didn’t take the attention from the main couple.

I’m so hopeful about Galen! The insight to his soul in Aeron’s story was promising. I’ve been thinking differently about him since then. And now… his thoughts and his deeds… I definitely want to know more about his motivations and personality. Galen is a perfect choice for transforming the antagonist into a positive character. Just see Gena’s professionalism as she plants hope in me for Galen. Actually, hope pervades the whole novel: I also have great expectations of Baden, Kane and Torin. And William...

The end was surprising and really unexpected, and I’m very happy about it. It was amazing how Gena combined the final turn with one of the most important paintings of Danika.
It is a significant episode, not only in this installment, but hopefully in regards to the following ones as well.

Back to the characters

Paris' frustration and rage is understandable. He’s suffered so much, and it made him bitter.
He is determined to find and save Sienna, and nothing will stop him. I’m blown away by his relentlessness.
Disgusted by his own demon, he hates himself because of the deeds he is forced to do: lying, cheating and betrayal. He feels guilty about breaking hearts and dreams, and he always tries to do his best to lessen his partners’ disappointment and to ease his guilt.
I enjoyed getting an insight into Paris’ personality. Yes, there is a change in his attitude, but not in his personality. It is clear that he was always thoughtful, generous, selfless (see how he feels about not helping his friends, how much he loves them, more than himself). I know that many of you miss his cheerful attitude, but I like this resolute aspect of his character. He has a goal, something really important to fight for.
He fights not only for Sienna; he fights for himself too. Because if he succeeds, he will finally gain the control back over his own body, he will be free from submission to his demon.

When Paris finds her, Sienna is fatigued and broken. She suffers from guilt and her insecurities, and from helplessness against Cronus.
She can see Paris’ past, his memories, his feelings, she can read his mind. Wrath shows her everything. By the help of her demon, she can use the “ability to read other people’s intention.”
She understands Paris’ pain and sufferings, feels sympathy toward him and accepts him as he is. Her honesty and acceptance to him is compelling.
I love her generosity, strength and dry humor.
By the end of the story Sienna becomes an incredibly strong character, due to that unexpected twist in the final battle. I was shocked, but absolutely satisfied with the end.

Some grumblings
Calling Sienna "baby" instead of her name repeatedly put me off enjoying the book.
It wouldn’t be a problem, if it hadn’t been a problem when they’d first met in Rome. Paris had called Sienna sweetheart because he’d forgotten her name. Back then Sienna saw red – not a surprise.
Now she delightedly accepts Paris calling her “baby”. Well, I can’t see the difference between "baby” and "sweetheart”. For me, both are equally impersonal.

I’m a little bit disappointed the Lords left Budapest, as I live there, but I love the new scenery. The castle in the Realm of Blood and Shadows is creepy and surrounded by the most horrifying creatures ever. These phantoms are inferior to the new bad guy Hades. I’m eager to know more about him as well.

I'd like to give special thanks to Derek Burns for the picture.

My favorite quotes.

3.5 for the story line only stars

I am going to keep this review short and to the point. So I don't remember why the first time I read this book I rated it 5 stars, but this time it was an underwhelming read. I didn't care for Paris. For the demon of Promiscuity his bedroom skills sucked(pun lol). I never really got on board with Paris and Sienna's relationship. I never got what draw the two of them had for the other. I liked them both okay individually, but didn't care for them as a couple. They felt forced together. I did like the plot. I loved that I was cool with Sienna taking over. I liked that the twins were born. William was fun in this book. I just didn't care for the couple. So overall an okay read but not great.

More than 5 stars and Top Read 2012.

Another must read for Lords of The Underworld fans. And for you who dying to read Paris's story. Wonder if he finally find his ladylove that manage to make his hard twice, but then die and Cronus ressurect and make her Keeper of Wrath, Sienna Blackstone. And being faithful. Commitment and Paris. Two words that against each other.

Gena put S to SUPERB and this book is epic. With capital E. Once again she prove the reasons why she will always be my favorite authors. The ending make me wonder if her new series Angel of The Dark with the first book Wicked Nights coming in the end of June (woohoo!!) is the bridge for the new arc of Lords of The Underworld saga. Either way, I can't wait to read her new installment.

And Paris of course officially become one of my nom-nom boyfriends ;)

Read my review below for the cover :) (yeah I do review for the cover too, not just the story, LOL!)

UPDATE :
Alright! Gena already announced it in her web so the cover and the blurb are OFFICIAL!!

PRETTTEEEHHH!! :P

My thought about this :
- I'm glad Paris paired with Sienna, not to another chick. I'm almost afraid if Gena will make new heroine for Paris, and I think its not the best turn ever. Readers will mad, trust me =P (Gena mention she plan to make another heroine for Paris in her blog, but glad Paris so stubborn to have Sienna. WTG, Paris!!)

- Sienna..look sexy! I know she look usual and homey, not attractive when she first appear at Lucien's book, The Darkest Kiss. But look at her now, possessed by Wrath (no spoiler here, if you are LOTU fans), she will make one of sexy winged heroine ever. Of course she might have a better personalities to make readers love her.

- Paris...ummm, I'm a little bit disappointed to not see Paul Marron here, but *cough2* models cover not just him, right? Not so favorite for this version of Paris. They do his hair wrong! His hair is several different colors, like brown, bronze, and gold (thanks for Jen from RedHotBooks for the head up). Its more like dark brown, IMO. (or they can't captured his hair color?) And his chin not chiseled enough. But the rest are pretty well-done..

- Something that bugged me, why both of them wear jeans?? I can understand about Sienna, but Paris? Are hero in PNR and UF genre supposed to wear leather pants, long black coats, and long hair, sooo pretty, it can be the result from H*rbal Essence shampoo?? => forgive me for my addictive to PNR..and no, I don't like men with long hair...

- Paris's butterfly tattoo are wrong. Its not located at his upper arm but his lower back (thanks to Megan for tell me about this).. Maybe because the model pose are hug Sienna like that, and they don't want miss the tattoo, so the solution are like that. Huh, boo! =(

- Paris are Keeper of Promiscuity who need sex in regular basis to survive. But I doubt this book will have so many sex scenes or Sienna and Paris act like busy bunnies. We don't want this book turn to be erotica, right? (Not that I'm complaining, tho =P)

The last words... THIS IS THE BEST COVER AT LOTU AND I CAN'T WAIT TO READ THEIR STORY!!! BRING IT ON, GENA!! =D

Let me start out by saying that I am a huge, huge fan of the Lords of the Underworld series. And like everyone else, I have been anxiously awaiting the story that would give poor Paris his HEA. This book gave me all the things I wanted –and even worked in some amazing surprises—but it didn’t quite live up to its potential for me.

The biggest problem is simply that the book is bloated. It's too long and stuffed with too much stuff. I was excited when I first saw how thick it was, but it was actually a hindrance to the storytelling. The first 100 pages or so really dragged. It didn’t feel anything like the snarky, snappy, and sexy series I love. It was a portrait of a miserable Paris and a miserable Sienna, each enduring their own tragedies as they dream of a reunion. This could have been streamlined enormously and still conveyed the same things. It isn’t until Paris finally tracks down his long-lost woman, that the book becomes engaging at all. Maybe around page 150.

Once Paris and Sienna are together, you can start to see the sparks. And in their interactions, the book has some of its best moments. After all, their reunion is what we’ve all hungered for. But Paris has changed so much, he is almost unrecognizable from the character we once knew. I know he’s been through a lot, but I would have liked to see a few more glimpses of the suave Lord of Promiscuity. This guy is supposed to be the end-all, be-all Lothario and he just didn’t deliver. Yeah, the sex is hot, but no more so than with any of the other Lords.

We’re introduced to a slew of new characters, from the annoying Lord of Narcissism to three random Lords stuffed in a castle turret. I could have done without all of them. We also get a healthy dose of Zacharel, which is no doubt designed to set up Showalter’s new Angels of the Dark series. And I’ll admit… I’m intrigued.

There were some things I really did enjoy. Surprisingly, I liked the Galen and Legion sidestory and I find myself really rooting for these two to make a go of it. We got the set-up on Kane’s story with the female Horseman. And we got a few new teasers on the enigma that is William the Dark. Oooh—and Ashlyn finally has those babies. Hallelujah!! That woman has been pregnant for like, 10 years. All of that was great –as were the fantastic developments on the Cronus/ Rhea front… and a shocking tidbit about Strider’s history.

Yet, the book didn’t quite satisfy. Maybe it’s because it took too long to get to the good stuff. Maybe it’s because Paris isn’t Paris anymore. I don't know. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't everything I hoped it would be. 3 1/2 stars.

"The Darkest Seduction" is everything i expected and more. Its the 9:th instalment in the "Lords of the Underworld"-series and concludes the long-awaited battle between the Greeks,Titans and Hunters-and also shows how Paris the warrior keeper of Promiscuity does everything in his power to save Sienna from the evil clutches of King Cronus. This book may actually be by far my favourite one,it was filled up with pain, longing and passion.Reading Paris and Sienna`s story was like reading about the bittersweet notion of two separated lovers reuniting. It was like Paris and Sienna floated sometimes, their connection, affection, desire and love so strong that my heart swooned.Their every look, touch and words was like gold to my eyes.Paris and Sienna are more than wonderful as a couple, their powerful journey of love one i will never forget.

Sienna Blackstone is a former Hunter that died in "The Darkest Kiss" after being a Bait for Paris and helping hunters capture him.As a mortal she really hated the Lords and thought they were the cause of the world`s destruction. After she dies she knows the truth and are incredibly sorry and ashamed of her actions as a mortal.I really felt sorry for Sienna, everything she had done was for her sister and her sisters tragedy totally cut my heart.I could see the inner strength and beauty Paris loved in Sienna. She was a very determined heroine and have a great emotional development throughout the story, she is a heroine worthy of Paris unique love and for that she in my eyes also are beautiful.

Paris, immortal warrior possessed by the demon of Promiscuity is a hero i loved ever since i first met him in the first book of the series. He is so inhumanly beautiful that no woman can resist him and have the courage and power of a merciless warrior.Because of his demon he has to have sex everyday and can`t get hard for a woman twice.Thats his terrible curse and one he hates immensely ever since he first met Sienna and realized that he can actually get hard for her more than once. Before he met Sienna he had been so lively and carefree, but after the death of Sienna she became his obsession. He turned into a tormented self-destructive hard, bitter and cynical man..but with every fiber of his being he longed for his Sienna. This yearning made my heart bleed for him,and for him to finally find her now was such a relief to me.Oh he comes top in my list of sexy-besotted-overjealous heroes that can`t stand away from his heroine.Paris is so glowingly sexy and seductive to the point i almost thought i could hear his voice every time he talked to Sienna.I felt for his suffering when it came to this awful curse. It felt like Paris was raping himself with these people, and no wonder he felt filthy afterwards.I love how he had rather wither away and die than let another woman touch him,he only loved and desired his Sienna.

I love how Gena Showalter wrote this book, she is such a splendid story teller.Maddoc and Ashlyn`s twins finally got born with unexpected help from William,oh they are so cute!Galen wants his Legion, and damn their chemistry is awesome.I also got surprised by the actual affection Galen has for his daughter Gwen. His demon Hope has left some heart inside of him while the other demon of Jealousy strives to destroy that heart.Kane is still captured in Hell and i wonder who the female was?His heroine? The angel Zachariel is so unemotional that he just got to have himself a heroine and get a taste of it,would love to see him besotted LOL.This book literally consumed me with its Exhilarating Adventure and Vigorious Epic Romance that i will never forget. This book has become another beloved favourite!

4 Over Loaded Stars!
This is the ninth book in The Lords of the Underworlds series. It's Paris and Siennas book.
Paris the keeper of Promiscuity demon has to have sex daily in order to not weaken and die. If Paris tries to have the same woman twice his demon shuts him down. If Paris denies himself sex his demon goes to extreme measures to get it. His demon lets off a scent that anything can't resist. His demon is not picky when it comes to sex either. He wants everyone! That is until Sienna the Hunter comes into the picture. His demon wanted Sienna again. But she was killed by hunters trying to help Paris escape in a previous book. Paris finds out that Sienna is alive and that King Cronus has her. Cronus put the demon Wrath in Sienna and has plans for her. He has her locked away and Paris has been on a mission to find her.
I wish I could say the 4 stars are for Paris and Siennas story but it's not. I felt like we really didn't get much of them unless they were having sex. Haha! Of course because Paris is the keeper of sex. I didn't really feel the connection between these two. AND Paris shared a bit of info about himself. View spoiler.

So mostly the four stars are for all the other story's going on around them. Kane is still trapped in Hell. Galen has done went and made a bargain with the Unspoken Ones and got the cloak of invisibility back. Galen wants Legion. I know Galen is bad but I wanted him to have Legion. I think something might be brewing there besides revenge. lol William and Zacharel played a big part in helping Paris find Sienna. I laughed many many times when these three were together. Lysander and Zacharel were on a mission. We meet a few new that have demons named Hades and Viola. A war breaks out in the end. I found myself cheering at the end!!
I swear I didn't know where I wanted to stay. My mind felt overloaded with information but I loved it.
I will be reading Kane's book next. I think his woman finally made an appearance but I'm not sure yet. Haha!
GS also tells us at the end that she is starting a new series about the Angels. Ugh! I'm excited to see where that goes. I will also be checking that out.
Another awesome addition to this series.

While I really liked it, I wasn't crazy about it. It had mayor pros and cons against the previous installments.

Pros:
-The plot was better built. Everything finally came to an end. No more suspense, no more inclusiveness, for once everything ended just as it had to end. You just feel like every word you're reading will take you somewhere important eventually. Nothing was left in the loose with this read.. Which I'm glad because with some of the previous installments I felt like the author took some things from nowhere and tried to make them work.
-We get a lot of information about many of the previous characters but not things narrated from their POV, which in some other installments made me feel like words to fill a book. This way we knew what everybody was doing but not in detail, so we always had no doubt this was Paris' book. I loved that.
-This book is definitely the most important of the series in what the plot is concerned. MANY twists & turns, many mayor events going on and a turning point has been set. So much action and surprises, it makes you wonder what will happen next now with all the Lords...

Cons: (And this is why I haven't rated the book with 5 stars)
-I found the romance between Sienna and Paris a bit lacking. I have been waiting for so long to read his book that too much expectation had been built. It was hard to fulfill it so much time later. I believe this book should have come much sooner than now.
-Paris was such an emotional and deep character in the last reads that it was weird to see the old him from one minute to the next once he got his Sienna back. I thought it would take him some more time or at least he would change into a different -demon- man.
-Also it would have been nice to see more sparks between the 2 of them, at least a bit more than a 'wow-you-got-me-hard-more-than-once' explanation. Yes, at the end they really get to know each other better and justify why they wont to be together, but before that everything seems a bit sappy.

Now so many interesting characters still need their story! Like: Galen & Legion, William & the girl,Kane & Viola? And the new Angel's of dark series will be great too. Can't wait.

DISAPPOINTED….DISAPPOINTED….DISAPPOINTED
Paris is like this whinging and whinnying guy!!!! On his quest to finding his soul mate, Sienna!!!!
Please forget her!!!! Find someone else!!! Please!!!!
But no, on he goes to, through and back to hell to get her back!!!!

If I hadn’t liked Sienna, the hunter who betrayed Paris in the past….now as a dead and revived back and resurrected as some kind of weird angel or something by the old and wicked crony, Cronus…..here, I just wanted her to stay dead and gone!!!
 photo download_zpsaczh3k36.jpg

I was so not invested in this pairing!!! I just kept skimming over the parts where Paris and Sienna appeared and rather read up on my favorite characters that make appearances here….and the new ones too….my total fave…..Maddox & Aislyn’s newborn twin little devils….they were just too cute…..can’t wait for more about these two little rascals..

So tata to Paris & Sienna….wish them luck with their HEA…..now onto some more interesting characters and their books in the series.

The Darkest Seduction proves to be one of the most exciting, heart-pounding Lords of the Underworld stories, and Gena Showalter doesn’t disappoint with the tale pretty much every LOTU fan has been waiting for!

I’m finding it really hard to explain my feelings on this particular book and actually have it make sense. I had both high expectations and no expectations at all when going into this book. I adore this series, but I felt as though Showalter was beginning to struggle after the last two books. I loved both Amun’s and Strider’s tales, but there was this tiny inkling in the back of my mind that told me they weren’t up to the same standard as some of the earlier books in the series. And yet the Darkest Seduction is the Lord of the Underworld series at its best! This is one of my fave LOTU books! Showalter wrote it so spectacularly—everything fit and went together perfectly and the entertaining and sensual plotline had my attention from the first page! It had everything I’ve come to expect from this series....heart-stopping action, incredible romance and all the humour that make this series a joy to read.

In this book we finally get to see Paris get his girl. Paris and Sienna have had the most complicated relationship in this series. Their few interactions in the past have been shaky at best and a mess at worse. He attempted to use her, she kidnapped him so the Hunters could torture him, they then had “apparently” emotionless sex together so he wouldn’t die and then he tried to flee and she died as a result. And yet for whatever reason none of them understood they were drawn to one another, often not knowing if they liked or hated each other. Then....after her death things changed. Suddenly events allowed them to see each other in different lights and their feelings changed until all they both wanted was to be with the other. Honestly, it seemed strange to me, all that yearning to be with each other but in this book it made complete sense. I felt their desire to be with each other, even if it seemed hopeless.

You know, I’ve never really loved Paris. Oh, I liked him enough. I emphasised with his pain and I felt for him, but he never really stood out for me. His pain and torment has been such a prominent feature in the series for so long now that I really just wanted him to find his woman and get on with it. I still never saw him as anything other than a tormented man in the background..... but sure has changed how! What a fantastic character Paris is! Who would have guessed that the man who housed Promiscuity would be the Lord that craved monogamy and commitment the most? My heart broke for him in this book. It really did. Until this book, until I got this glimpse into his head and saw his dedication and devotion to Sienna in a new light I never completely understood their relationship and why he felt so strongly for her. I never understood why he wanted her the way he did and with their complicated history, why he would risk so much for her. Now I think he may potentially be one of the strongest of the Lords. To go through everything he’s been through and everything he’s willing to do for her...it takes a lot of strength. With Sienna being the only woman Paris could apparently be with more than once it opened up a new door for him, the chance to be with the woman he cared about and truly loved. I loved his fierce protectiveness and desire to be with her and take care of her no matter what—it was wonderful.

Alight, who here doesn’t like Sienna? Have you lost your freaking mind people?!? Hunter or not, Sienna is one of the best leading ladies to grace this series! I know I’ve probably said that about heroine’s in the past, but Sienna is everything a heroine should be. While she’s far from perfect, she’s brave and manages to find her spirit throughout this book. She’s very normal, and even somewhat plain, but that’s the beauty of her. She’s very normal, and as everything she’s been through and is currently going through changes her it just makes her even better to read about. Her ability to accept Paris exactly as he is, to be able to let go of everything he’s done in the past and to make him understand he doesn’t need to be ashamed with her is just remarkable. She’s exactly what he needs and she allowed him to be himself.

Paris and Sienna as a couple are incredible. Despite their history, or perhaps because of it, the sparks between them run wild! Neither is the same person they were when they first met, but their desire to be with each other strengthens their relationship. Seeing them fall in love after all they’ve both been through is beautiful. Their interactions were entertaining and the sex between them hot. I love how highly they think of one another; how Sienna loves Paris for being nothing more than who he is and who is able to ignore all the horrible, however justified, things he’s done in the past and how Paris sees Sienna as the most beautiful thing in his world and how he won’t take other people disrespecting her, even his friends. They accept each others fault and mistakes in the past and they love each other regardless—it’s beautiful.

Showalter has written this story perfectly, however there is a lot going on throughout the book. With so many sub-storylines taking place and unfolding, one could be mistaken for getting a tad confused. But it you manage to keep track (like I just barely managed to) you’ll see all the incredible possibilities set up for this series and even Showalter’s new spin-off Wicked Nights series that have been set up! There are only three Lords left single now, Torin, Kane and the sad, but beautiful female Cameo and I’m oh, so eager for their stories! I’m thinking Kane will be next and we’ll get to see what happens to him and his mysterious female Horseman. That leaves Torin and Cameo and with some new developments in this book for Torin I’m hoping he’ll finally find his HEA with a woman he can touch...hmmm, how about Viola? A hilarious new addition to the series, this goddess and houser of Narcissism looks to be an interesting character. Cameo will be interesting and now I’m wondering about Hades. It seems like an odd fit, but the “Shadow Man” proved to be an interesting new development and considering who and what he is, who better to be with the Lord of Misery?

Oh, but then there’s William, Galen and Legion. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Galen and Legion need to be together. I’ve always throughout Galen was more than he seems and in The Darkest Seduction he proves he truly cares about Legion and after all the horror she’s endured, she deserves to find some happiness and feel safe and loved. And Willy! Yes Willy! We all know who his heart belongs to even if he’s too afraid to go there. Gena Showalter has got a lot in store for him and I for one cannot wait to see what awaits him in his story.

As the 9th book in the series, The Darkest Seduction comes with big revelations and big shocks! Major plot changes, and completions, will see the series head in a new direction and the inclusion of new characters shows that Gena Showalter is far from done when it comes to this series! CANNOT WAIT FOR MORE!

If Sienna is not his chosen one I am going to scream my head off.
Not because I really care or don't care about her-I only care about the fact that this author made me go trough 7 books worth of Paris related angst.
If the author plops in a new heroine just for him it will mostly prove her to not be a very good writer. She can call it 'visions while writing the book that change EVERYTHING' but I call it lame.

“When dealing with people and their emotions, allowances must always be made.

Paris' book is everything I thought it would be and I love it, I discovered a lot of things in this book about Paris and I realized that just like the other Lords, I don't know him. There is so much more to him than his looks and demon, Paris loathe the person he is now, he thinks he is not good enough and hates using people for sex, he feels as if he is forcing them and that they don't actually want him but his demon.

How sad is that, who would have thought that of Paris, absolutely no one. So glad he finally found love.

Sienna the love interest is just who he needs, she didn't bother disguising her feelings for him, was even happy he came *how sweet* She is stronger now than when she was alive, she loves him so much that *sneers* Cronus even tried to use him to blackmail and control her, So love what she did to him.

William was in this book more than the other Lords, I enjoyed his parts so much, after the ordeal in the last book, he lost some hair, yes hair and now he is obsessed with getting it back.

Suddenly William loomed over him, scowling, snarling and bloody, his suit dirt-stained and ripped. “Do you know. How many strands. Of hair I lost. On my way down?”
Whatever. “Math was never my thing, but I’m gonna say you lost…a lot.”
Electric-blues glittered with menace. “You are a cruel, sadistic bastard. My hair needs TLC and you…you… Damn you! I’ve gutted men for less.”
“I know. I’ve watched you.“Don’t kill the messenger, but I’m thinking you should change your dating profile to balding.”

The rest of the guys are also in this, They got a new addition to their family, Viola, the goddess of Afterlife and also the Keeper of Narcissism.

“Oh, no, he didn’t. I’m not some pretty a man can just toss aside whenever—oh, hey. You’re Anya’s man.” The indignation left her, and she waved happily. “Hi! I’m Viola. As if you couldn’t guess. My reputation for awesomeness precedes me, and I’m sure Anya has mentioned me countless times.”

I was afraid that after waiting for Paris' book for so long that I was gonna be disappointed with the final product. Well, I am happy to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this book. No, it wasn't perfect but it wasn't a disaster. So these are the things I loved about Paris' book:

1) I loved Sienna's character. Sienna had transformed from the mousey book worm hunter she was when we were introduced to her character, into a feisty warrior. We can thank Cronus for that transformation since he saddled her with the demon, Wrath, and forced her to man up. She didn't fall into the expected insecurity trap that most heroines fall victim to when dealing with Paris and his sex demon. Yes, she was jealous of other women but she always put Paris 1st and never made him feel guilty for his past. Sienna was brave, respectful of others, and loved Paris unconditionally. She was also honest with him, even when the truth hurt.

2) I fell in love with Paris again. I used to enjoy reading about Paris' carefree interludes. After Sienna died, he spiraled into a very dark place. He became an Ambrosia addict and refused to have sex. His fellow LOTU would have to go out and find women for him. I came to dislike Paris because he was wallowing in self pity (not very sexy). Thank goodness he got his woman and I don't have to witness his self destruction anymore. He was always respectful of Sienna, put her well being above his own, and was willing to sacrifice his own wants. He was willing to walk away from her instead of risking hurting her by cheating. Oh! And their 1st kiss was off the charts funny. And the love scenes were erotic and plentiful! Yay! Loved the scene where Zacharel pushed Sienna of the roof. I thought Paris would kill him.

3) Cronus and Rhea were a total treat because I don't recall ever getting to see them go at each other the way they did in this book. Cronus truly loved her once upon a time and I felt that he was still very much obsessed with making her submit to him. Their battle came to a head and I was very surprised and pleased by the outcome.

4) Gallen and Legion have the potential to be a wonderful love story. Only because he was unbelievably protective of her and was willing to put her safety above his own desires. Legion makes me want to cry and I Ioved loved loved the sacrifice she mad to save Ashlyn. She deserves an exceptional story.

Now for the things I hated

1) The Intervention! It was disrespectful to Paris and Sienna. None of the other guys have ever forced their opinion about whether they liked or disliked the women their friends have fallen for.

2) So Paris and Strider had sex back in the day? WTF? Why bother putting that in the story? The conversation was out of place and odd and it didn't fit. Was Showalter going for shock value cause this didn't come up when Strider was upset with Paris for having sex with Kaia. Now we find out that they both have ridden that ride. I'm very curious as to how Paris and Strider did it. Showalter left out the dirty details of course.

3) What the hell did they name those babies? and why? Showalter can ruin the simplest things. Urban and Ever? She must have been smoking somthing good when she came up with those names.

All that being said this was one of my favorite books in the series and I look forward to Zacharel's book, Wicked Nights!

this book had a slow start for me, but it picked up on the way. Paris and Sienna's story started a while ago, so my expectations were high, and I liked it a lot. I even liked the slew of other stories and much is resolved here. If you want to see the major parts of the story, read on...

Mimi's DS shopping list

1. Paris and Sienna I had a problem with them at first, with their constant yearning for each other, after a few days' worth of quality time, most of it spent hating/lusting/trying to kill each other, so that was hard for me to believe. HOWEVER, later on I got a feel of them as a couple and I was sold. That initial fall from 'believe it' pile, deduced the half star. Still, CHECK

2. Cronus, Rhea and the Hunters. Yes, people, the big battle has occurred and we escaped unscathed (by we, I mean the lords, of course). Basically everything is solved here, the prophecy, the battling gods, Sienna's role in it all. And it was a satisfying solution and a bloody battle *grin*. Everyone who is everyone was there, fighting. Even *gasp* the angels. CHECK

3. Galen. You might've noticed I didn't mention Galen as being solved. That's 'cause he hasn't been yet. His and Legion's story is coming soon, I think. His or Kane's is next IMHO.

4. William. Ah, Willy, I enjoyed seeing you and your conditioner. We get even more glimpses of his powers and history but nothing concrete. So, one one hand, it's not solved, but I loved him here, so...CHECK

5. Introduction of new characters. On one hand this was annoying, since these Lords just keep popping up, but I'll deal. Was unnecessary in this book that already has so many storylines. We see the Lord of Narcissism, Indifference, Selfishness and...something else. I forgot. HOWEVER, we also got to meet Hades, who looks like he'll ROCK and he has a mysterious connection to Will.CHECK

6. Appearance of old characters. Of course, we got to see our beloved characters again. And Ashlyn FINALLY has her babies. Just when you expect it to go on and on, and that demon babies are like elephants. CHECK

7. Introduction of a new series. While reading this book I was confused by Zachariel's constant appearances. I like him, but for a relatively new character he was getting a lot of page time. However, upon reading about a new series Angels of the Dark, about tattooed, bad boy angels, it became clear we were being sucked in. I don't mind *grin*. The first book is coming out in June Wicked Nights.CHECK

To conclude- I liked this book a lot and can't wait for the next book(s). Wish William gets his book soon. Alas, I don't think it's in the stars.

Quotes...

I believe you suffer from what the humans call ADD.”
“Oh, yeah. I definitely have attention deficient demon.”

"Gideon and Scarlet were snuggled together, talking. And a stranger conversation Sienna had never heard.
“I hate you.”
“I hate you more.”
“I hate you most.”
Moving on."

"William clapped to gain everyone’s attention. “All right, listen up. I’ve got good news and bad news. Because I’m such a positive person, we’ll start with the good. Ashlyn survived the birthing, and so did her personal horde.”
The hallway echoed with breathy sighs of relief…none louder than Maddox’s own.
“So what’s the bad?” someone demanded.
After a dramatic pause, the warrior said, “I’m out of conditioner. I need someone to flash out of here and get me some. Hint, I’m looking at you, Lucien. And, yeah, you’re welcome for my amazing contrib to your happy family. Little terrors clawed me up but good.”
“William!” someone else snapped. “Stay on track, and keep the unnecessary details to a minimum. We’re dying here.”
“That’s gratitude for you. So anyway, come on, come in, and meet your nephew and niece, Murder and Mayhem. Or, if you want to call them by their nicknames, and I’m sure you will the moment they get their mitts on you, Pistol and Shank.”

BTW, I wanted to put those little check signs, next to the items, but was unable to produce them. Still, I think I got my point across :D

Gena brought her "A" game to this one. It's the best one in this series. I adored Paris and how he treats Sienna. Also one big storyline that has been current throughout is tied up.

I may have missed this but I don't understand why Paris can stay faithful to Sienna. His demon makes his body respond to other women because she needs sex, but why is Sienna so special? She also came into her own here and kicks some major demon booty.

And the loves scenes between Paris and Sienna are smoking hot to the max.

This series is far from over. Too many familiar characters need their HEA like William, Torin, Kane and PLEASE give us Galen and Legion's story. Legion is my favorite of all. Poor former demon turned hot woman has been through the wringer and needs some TLC stat.

Paris and Sienna, as well as the rest of the Underworld gang gets two enthusiastic demon horn and tails up.

Paris and Sienna's story has been a long time coming and while I've always been rather ambivalent towards the Keeper of Promiscuity, I was still interested in how Showalter would pull off a HEA for the Lord who needs one-night stands in order to survive. Now that I've read 'The Darkest Seduction' I can say that while I did (for the most part) like it, it wasn't (IMO at least) Showalter's best work.

What I liked:
1. I really like how Showalter gave us updates and insights into what's going on with the other Lords - both the one's who are already living their HEA and those guys (and girl) whose stories are in the making. The LotU world has really expanded since the series began with 'The Darkest Night' and (by my count) Kane, Torin, Cameo, Galen/Legion, and William/Gilly are waiting on their books and (with the exception of Cameo) GS has begun setting up their respective stories.

2. Zacharel, pink punk fallen angel dude, and the alluded angel bada$$es in Z's posse - GS has done some great work setting up her spin-off series 'Angels of the Dark'. I personally loved the novella 'The Darkest Angel' featuring Lysander so I'm stoked that the angels' are getting their turn.

3. Some things finally get resolved! A LOT of stuff happens in 'The Darkest Seduction' - at 504 pages this is the longest LotU yet and in that span The whole story arc has taken an unexpected but welcome twist that I'm looking forward to keep reading about.

What I didn't like:
1. Notice that Paris and Sienna didn't make my "What I liked" list? Well, even though this was mainly their story, I actually felt their relationship was kinda forced and stilted in parts. It wasn't awful per se, but it was one of the weaker HEA's I've read for the Lords (about on par with maybe Gideon's and Aeron's stories). Yeah, Paris has been yearning for Sienna ever since finding out she's the special girl who he can get repeat boners for, but the explanation given as to why this is just didn't quite work for me.

So, even though this isn't my fave 'Lords of the Underworld' installment, it was still an entertaining read overall and I will definitely be continuing on with the new series and the remaining LotU books. Kane's up next (there's just something about the Keeper of Disaster I really like) and it should be apocalyptic - literally!

This book was such a roller-coaster, there were good things and bad things, as well as things that shouldn’t have happened because what was the point?

As a couple Paris and Sienna were chaotic and they knew it. They were driven by the idea of them rather than they by themselves; something that I was glad it was there. Somethings were kinda obsessive and way too intense –something that didn’t bother me before in the series but with Paris and Sienna, well… it was crazy.

Thank goodness they toned it down a bit

Other than them, I loved everything about this book. I loved all the characters, *coughs, coughs* William *coughs*, the setting was so great and the plot was so fluent and the develop was fantastic.

RATING: 4.5 "FINALLY IT'S PARIS' STORY" HEARTS!

This is, perhaps, the most highly anticipated story of the Lords of the Underworld, especially given the amount of time and angst invested into Paris’ story. It’s been a long time coming, and fortunately for fans, it does not dissatisfy. The Darkest Seduction is a crucial step-up from its predecessor in many ways – an excitement-fueled, sizzlingly seductive, darkly intense addition to Gena Showalter’s addictively readable paranormal LotU series.

Paris, Keeper of Promiscuity, is everything expected and a whole lot more. His is a character that instantly surges from the pages from the very first moment of his introduction in an exquisitely sexy style, keeping his demon sated while still reveling in the company of his fellow Lords, making him an instant favourite. Through the series development however, we see flashes of the encumbrance that is being the Lord of Sex – the heartaches, anguish, hate, and desirous feelings for more, all accompanied with the aftermath of extreme self-loathing, guilt and humiliation. In this, at long last, we get the unveiling of Paris, absorbing his every emotion, his every desire, his tenaciousness to keep his demon in check, and his willingness to find and save Sienna, along with him. Showalter has an uncanny ability to capture a man’s emotions and lust, and with Paris it is shown to the utmost discretion.

Although what starts out as an awful encounter taking root as animosity, Sienna is ultimately the best match for our beloved hero. Along with possessing the demon of Wrath, she possesses the very thing that Paris needs; forgiveness. Her ability to genuinely forgive Paris’ inability to remain faithful, instead understanding his predicament and constantly putting his wellbeing above all else, grants him amnesty, soothing his battered soul and giving him the feelings of true love Sex has deprived him of. Their relationship starts with distrust, but slowly builds into a strong bond. There is no jealousy (beyond the hot alpha male possessiveness!) of past or current actions between the two, and most remarkably there is no infidelity, Showalter exempting us the torture and misery, instead leaving two characters who from the minute they connect display nothing but love and complete faith for one another, however cruel the circumstances.

Along with being an exceptional gratification of a long awaited tale, The Darkest Seduction is also a pivotal point in regards to the Lords’ continuing battle with the Hunters and the search for Pandora’s box, beginning the chrysalis of a storyline that will immensely affect all the characters through its progression. The action-packed plot couples with Showalter’s weaving all the lives of the Lords’ together to make one cohesive story. The multiple POVs that were a bother in the prior book proved to be fitting in this, taking us deeper into the lives of Paris and Sienna, and also into many others, specially William and Kane. My only quibble is the sex scenes. Admittedly, Paris being the Keeper of Sex, I was expecting a little bit nice and a lot of naughty, but I found the sex scenes to be timid, at odds with his character, yet very suitable with the story and romance.

Overall, this installment is one not to be missed, bringing forth essential pieces to the proverbial plot puzzle, and reaffirming my crazed fandom for Gena Showalter’s work. A definite must read!

This was really a great addition to the Lords of the underworld series. To be honest, I wasn't all that excited about Paris's story. Maybe it was dragged out a bit to much, but it turned out to be really enjoyable. Sexy as always!

I couldn't decide who made a better Paris so let me know which one should make it to the Deliciously Sexy Book Boyfriends page.

Δεύτερη ανάγνωση και το απόλαυσα ακόμα περισσότερο!!!
(Η κριτική που ακολουθεί είναι από την πρώτη φορά που το διάβασα και δε θα την αλλάξω)

***************************************

I can’t believe that I just read the story of Paris and Sienna!! Finally, “The Darkest Seduction” the ninth book in the Lords of the Underworld series by Gena Showalter, is here and it’s one of the best so far! I have to say that I noticed some very good things in this book. The author has improve the world-building, the plot is better than the previous, more well-written and the characters are having great development.

We know Paris and Sienna from the previous stories, so it’s good that the reader doesn’t start from point zero here. Of course, we learn some things about their past but the story simply continues. Paris has finally found Sienna and now they have to survive the battle between gods, demons, angels and all kind of scary creatures but they also have to survive each other!

Paris is great as always. He is the keeper of Promiscuity and he needs to have sex with different partners every night in order to survive. Never in his co-existence with the demon had desired the same woman twice, but Sienna is the exception. I love the way he cares about her. He doesn’t hold a grudge on her because of their past and he wants her so much that it’s painful for him. In this book, Paris is something more than what we have used to. He’s not just the sexy man, the wet dream for every woman. He’s a determined man, who knows what he wants and who will claim it no matter what everyone believes. His need to be with only one woman, the one he loves, is huge! It’s devastating when he says that for so many years he was having sex without emotion when he only needed was somebody to love.

Sienna was a human but now she is the keeper of Wrath. I liked her form the beginning although she wasn’t good with Paris at first. But it wasn’t her fault and I was glad to see in this book how much she loves Paris. She believes that she deserves punishment for her actions but, of course, Paris prefers to make love to her than punish her! She was a Hunter because she wanted revenge for her sister but she didn’t know the truth. Now she wants revenge for many things. Although she was kind and she loved Paris so much, the other Lords didn’t believe her and it was difficult for her at first. Of course, soon things changed but she changed also! At the end of the story something unbelievable happens to her but I won’t say anything because it would be a huge spoiler!

Another thing that I love in this book was William! He is my favorite character in the series and I so want to learn his story soon! He is witty and likes to tease everyone. I love the way he acts, like he doesn’t care for anything but his hair. Of course, everybody knows that there is someone for whom he cares a lot!

I almost forgot! Ashlyn gave birth at last!!! Yes, she and Maddox are the parents of two beautiful demon twins! The best part? William doesn’t like their names, so he calls them with different names and that makes Maddox crazy!

In this book, I felt sorry about Legion. She was tortured in Hell not so long ago and still she hasn’t recovered. Galen wants her and she believes that he wants to tortured her but that’s not true. Galen has feelings for her but he doesn’t admit it. I really want to know what will happen between them. And, of course, I want to know more about Zachariel and I can’t wait for his book in the new series by Gena Showalter.

A great book that all the fans have to read!!

The action at the end of the book almost pushed it to a 3.0 but I just can't get over how utterly sappy the romance between Paris and Sienna was. There was no sparks just the fact that Paris got hard twice for the same woman. Well, I need more than that. Then added to the sugar an sweetness was the never-ending "I have to leave him, but maybe I can stay one more day" tug of war. Oh and it wasn't one sided, Paris was in the same tug of war "I need to leave her, no I don't" banter. BAH! I just couldn't get into these two. I liked Paris in the beginning but he grated on me in the last few books. He just has this tunnel vision when it comes to Sienna and it was more annoying than anything else.

Onto Sienna. I think I would have liked her more if we saw more of Wrath come through. She has this kick ass demon in her and I wanted to see more of her wreaking havoc. I liked her in the fighting scenes at the end so I think if the author built more on that it would have strengthened her character for me. I did not like the dead sister and miscarriage story line at all. It seemed like something just thrown in. It had no substance. I thought Sienna's character needed to be developed more, maybe more background with the hunters, anything instead of her constantly thinking of her sister. I'm not sure how I feel about her being Queen yet. I do like Sienna and she definitely has some potential and fight in her so we'll just have to wait and see. The jury is still out.

As far as the other characters go, I did like the other story lines. I enjoyed the demon twins being born. I really like Ashlyn and Maddox together so this was a bonus for me.

I also enjoyed Cronus and Rhea dueling it out. Gotta love two super powers always trying to one up each other.

Hated Viola! Sorry but this is a bad imitation of Anya. Just doesn't work.

I still absolutely love William! To me, he steals the show. I always look forward to him. I really hope Showalter doesn't screw up his character like she did with Strider.

Galen and Legion could be interesting. I felt for Legion, she's broken and scared. I'd like to see more of her.

Another could be interesting character is Kane. I honestly never cared for him but his scenes weren't bad. I felt his pain and the hopelessness in him. This could turn out ok.

My favorite was Zacharel! He's sexy and strong. What I love about him is his coldness and how detached he is. He better get someone special and he better not change. That's all we need is another love sick puppy. No, No, No!

It took me awhile, but I managed to finish reading this book. First off, I lost interest in Paris and Sienna a long time ago and I spot read many of their scenes/dialogue. I began to wonder if the LOTU would sustain through the end, but after reading Sabin's story, I was skeptical. Then came along Gideon, Amun and Strider's stories. Very disappointing, but I had my answer.

I do love the Lords, but for me, this series has gotten too juvenile. These Lords are supposed to be THE BAD ASSES of the world, yet they do and say way too many idiotic things. It's overkill in the quirky/comedy area. Maybe I've outgrown this series, I don't know. I did enjoy catching up with all the characters and I wouldn't mind reading a Galen/Legion story if only it were more maturely written. Galen doesn't seem to care that he is running out of hair conditioner, so I am hopeful. I am wary of a William/Gilly story only because I want it to be good, but not hopeful that it will be.

I gave this book 2 stars, but my suggestion is to buy it a used bookstore or check it out at the library.

1. Amo a Kane
2. Amo a Zacharel
3. Amo a William
4. Amo a Galen
5. Amo a Viola

I CANT WAIT *-*

William, el misterio misterioso. ¿Qué pasarán con él y Gilly? Por ahí leí que la autora había confirmado historia para William pero no sabían con quién, eso quiere decir.. Que Gilly y él ¿nunca nada? D:

Sombras aka YaTuSabe, *escalofríos* Chico sexy y oscuro.

¿Me pidieron opinión?

No importa. Ahora ya puedo leer a Zacharel y NADIE podrá quitarme esa felicidad *-*

Brilliant, Creative, and Mind Blowing!

Absolutely Fantastic! I mean just WOW! I know I can't say enough to tell everyone what a great series Gena Showalter has woven.  Paris story is astounding in the fact that this lord of sex who gives nothing but shattering pleasure to everyone he pleases finally finds his one true mate Sienna.  It is kind of sad he will no longer be our sexy playboy but sweet that he found that special person to calm and sate his demon.

So many things happen in this story, sure it is Paris story but many things around him from the built up of each lords story finally comes to a semi climax and let me tell you it is a shocker.  Here are a few things that I have to mention because after reading 9 installments in this series it is good to do a recap.  First let me say though that this story kept me captivated and glued to the pages.  It had me laughing out loud from the bantering between the characters and making me fall in love with them all over again.

So to start with my recap along with my opinion, here goes:

1. Galen, the Keeper of Hope and Jealousy - he totally has the hots for Legion and will do anything to get her. He is also suppose to be the one who will behead Cronus according to the perceived interpretation from All Seeing Eye. Big surprise in the end - LOL

2. Legion - has become frail, withdrawn and is dieing inside since she was rescued from hell. She hasn't spoken to anyone since she got out of hell but that soon changes when Galen kidnaps Ashlyn and wants to bargan for a trade for Legion.

3. Maddox (Keeper of Violence) and his mate Ashlyn (has supernatural abilities) who happens to be pregnant carring twins has to be the sweetest couple. When Ashlyn is kidnapped by Galen it throws her into Labor, Maddox goes crazy of course until she is rescued, however the situation becomes intense because she is in labor and only one person can deliver her demon babies - yep you guessed it "William". This part of the story was so cute because of the nick names William tries to bestow upon them like "Murder & Mayhem", "Pistol & Shank", and "Smith & Weston" regardless of the unusual names the baby demons gave themselves "Ever & Urban".

4. William, I absolutely love him, he cracks me up with his conceitedness. His being is still a mystery to me because he seems to have powers no one fully knows he has. Yes he is suppose to be son of Hades and suppose to have fathered the 4 horsemen, but there is more to him than we know and I can hardly wait for his story if he gets one.5. Hades - Father of Lucifer (Ruler of Hell), Williams father, and master of the dark shadows who eats souls. I found it interesting that he comes to the forefront in this story and now has me curious of what his role will become and if he will find a mate amongst the lords.

6. Torin - Keeper of Diease, also now possess the All Seeing Eye. I'm still curious to find out if he will ever find a mate that can be with him. Cronus has promised him a woman that he will be able to touch, i wonder who that woman is. But after the ending of the story, what will happen.

7. Danika (human) & Reyes (Keeper of Pain), Kaia (Harpy) & Strider (Keeper of Defeat), Gwen (Daughter of Galen) & Sabin (Keeper of Doubt), Aeron (Former Keeper of Wrath) & Olivia (Angel), Amun (Keeper of Secrets) & Haidee (Former Hunter), Lucien (Keeper of Death) & Anya (Minor Goddess of Anachy), Gideon (Keeper of Lies) & Scarlet (Keeper of Nightmares), Lysander (Warrior Angel) & Bianka (Harpy) - all played rolls in the story and it was neat to see them again.

8. Kane (Keeper of Disaster) - I totally love him, he is so loyal to his buddies but at the same time I feel bad for him because he is nothing but disaster. He ends up in hell with William but William escapes and Kane does not. He is rescued finally by an unknown female (I think it is one of the 4 horsemen) but no one knows where he is. I hope he gets a mate, he so deserves it.

9. Viola (Minor Goddess - Keeper of Narcissism) is new to the series and she was annoying and irritating, I wonder which warrior she will end up with, maybe the author should stick her with Hades - LMAO!

10. Cronus & Rhea - the King and Queen of the Titans so deserved what they got in the end. Now that they no longer exist, hopefully pandora's box can be found and destroyed.

Last but least, Sienna totally surprised me, so unexpected that she would be the one to do the deed and though she is the new host for the demon Wrath, she is now the new Queen to the Titans and to top it off, she gets Paris as her King/husband - LOL

After this book I have many questions like how many more books will there be in this series? Will Cameo (Keeper of Misery) get a mate? Will Torin (Keeper of Disease) get a mate? What about the 3 new comers "Cameron (Keeper of Obsession), Winter (Keeper of Selfishness), Pukinn/Irish (Keeper of Indifference)"? What about Viola, who will she end up with and what about her dog Princess Fluffikans who happens to be a Vampire Tasmanian Devil - LOL? What about Gilly, will her and William end up together - I sure hope not? Most important - what will happen to the warrior angel Zacharel, will he ever experience love, will he make it through his punishment with the other fallen angels to redeem themselves? Gosh, there is just so many things that are addicting and my inquiring mind just has to know - LOL

I wish this series was an HBO show, I'd rather watch this than True Blood and thats saying alot especially since I am a true fan of True Blood.

Excellent Read!!!!

Best Book Ever !!!!

We have all waited so much for Paris's story and finally here it is.The ninth book of The Lords Of The Underworld is finally out and waiting.
The Keeper of Promiscuity may have messed around for thousands of years but now has come the time to settle down.Literally.Paris finds Sienna and together they escape from the castle Cronus held her.Apparenty Sienna is a key to win the war between Galen,Cronus and the gorgeous Lords. He who has her is the winner.Guess who might that be??So,Cronus wants Siena, who is in love with Paris, who loves her as well,to spy on Galen, who (brace yourselves)is in love with Legion, who is scared to death of him and doesn't even wanna hear his name.
Altough,I have to admit that their relationship seemed to be kind of forced due to Paris's problem *cough cough* the story was as good as the previous ones.It had a nice flow while the main two characters were loyal, compassionate and stubborn.
However,in this book we also see again Zacharel, who plays an important role as well,we see Williams, who not only helps(by force) Paris but also Apart from Zacharel we also get glimpses of Kane,a new goddess Viola who is demon-possessed,Legion,the new keeper of Distust and some of the other Lords.
All in all,I loved this book and can't wait for the next one.We still have Kane,Torin,Cameo,Legion and Galen,William and Gilly .And some news:Don't miss Wicked Nights. The first book in Gena Showalter's new Angel of The Dark series.

Jesus take the wheel........ finally the story of the Sexorcist and the former bait.......deep breath and I'm going in.............

The only way my safety loving brain could've processed this book was to think of Paris' need for sex as akin to a diabetic's need for insulin? which he needs to survive.

In the time between Paris having been with Sienna and their second chance,he's been with a lot of women some willingly in his quest to find her some only to sate his demon but his reluctance helped to not make me hate him and dnf this book.

Sienna in her "death" has reevaluated her life's choices and realized the path she was on as a Hunter was wrong, she accepted Paris as he was even as Wrath showed her his misdeeds.

I loved how possessive he was of her and surprisingly this was one of the relationships that i actually felt their connection my problem though was that there were so many other exciting things happening here that Paris and Sienna felt secondary in their own book.

Massive changes occurred in interesting ways plot wise and thankfully Sienna came into her own because she was quite timid and overly accepting before she kicked butt. All in all this was good story wise but just ok romance wise with all the self sacrifices and such happening. On to the next

The long awaited story of Paris is finally here and it does not disappoint. Kane is still missing, William is some how saved, Ashlyn and Maddox are still expecting and of course Paris is still on the hunt for Sienna. When Paris learns that Sienna had tried to reach him but he was unable to see her, he becomes determined to find a way to get to her. It is through an encounter with a minor goddess named Viola, that he discovers the secret to seeing his conquest (minus a few details that he would probably want to know). After some coaxing from an angel named Zacharel and some time with needles and ash tainted ink, Paris finds himself capable of seeing the dead woman he is determined to find. There is simply one problem, she is The Realm of Blood and Shadows and it takes pain and blood to get there.

Sienna is tired of being held prisoner and would prefer death to the pain and agony she has suffered since coming to the Realm of Blood and Shadows. Her wings ache, she is weak, there are shadows that devour her from time to time and the only time she gets out is when Wrath goes out for a kill and leaves her with the bloody memories when they return. She is determined to find her sister and Cronus promises to know where she is. He swears that Galen has fathered a child with her sister and that Sienna must seduce him in order to find out her whereabouts. Sienna is ready to deal with her task until she encounters a dream of Paris coming into her prison screaming her name.

When Paris and Sienna both realize that their encounter is real, all hell breaks loose. The past has caused such mistrust between them that neither of the two know if they can get past it. What they do know, is there is still an attraction that can't be matched between them. When they finally have an opportunity to see if Paris's demon will allow him to take Sienna again, they are attacked by carnivorous shadows. Luckily, William is there to save the day but is unwilling to explain how. When they finally find a way to leave the castle and Paris and Sienna are finally able to deal with their attraction (and WOW what a scene) but Paris is still unsure that Sienna is with him out of regret for the hurt she caused him or because she is truly attracted to him. Once the two figure out their true motives, they refuse to part even thought they know it must come eventually if Cronus and Galen are to be defeated without destroying the Lords in the process. This becomes an issue when the rest of the Lords join them in the Realm of Blood and Shadows after a run in with Galen and a very pregnant Ashlyn about to give birth. Not to mention, no one can see Sienna but Paris and those blessed with the gift of seeing the dead. In other words, Paris always looks like he is talking to (and having sex with) himself.

As truths are revealed, battles both with friends and enemies are fought, Sienna and Paris must find a way to be together. Can Paris stay with one woman forever? Can Sienna ever find out what happened to her sister and why she was put into this predicament in the first place? Why is it everyone wants her on their side? Oh, and will Kane ever get out of Hell? Yes these questions will be answered and a few surprises will come your way too.

What a roller coaster of a story! Throughout the book the multiple stories within the story are taking place. Just as you get into a scene, it switches to someone else. While I admit, that can be frustrating, it gives a solid picture of everything that is happening simultaneously. What I appreciated was that Paris shows how vulnerable he is and how self conscious he feels about his past exploits. Sienna shows him that people should not always be judged by appearance (which she had originally done to Paris as well) and shows him how openly one can love. I was equally thrilled to see the the fierce nature of Paris come out to play. He has always fought for women but when his heart is locked on one woman, it is so passionate that he becomes enraged with another demon. His dedication to Sienna made me cheer him on and his desire for her had me melting into a puddle. What is more fun is the multiple ways she turns him on. If I knew throwing a desk drawer at a man would cause him to throw me on the bed and jump my bones in a mad fit of passion, I would be throwing furniture at my husband every day.

Of course it would not be a Lords of the Underworld story if it did not include some side action. We are introduced to Viola, keeper of Narcissism and minor goddess of the afterlife. She proves to add some interesting competition to the minor goddess of anarchy and now the two are on a mission to hang paintings of themselves throughout the new castle. The birth of the twins is an interesting scene and seeing the Lords softening up to the two bundles is just plain cute. While I admit you might want to smack William a few times at his nicknames for the pair, it is funny and I am curious to see how those characters will be intertwined in the next story. We are also given a much bigger point of view of Zacharel the angel. He is constantly hovering over Paris and Sienna and of course causing jealousy fits from Paris as a result. Knowing he has never felt passion, and shows know emotion, has a few people intrigued and I am curious to see where that leads in Gena Showalter's new series Angel's of the Dark.

Overall this book, like the others in the series, is well worth the read. I enjoyed every moment and I am now anxiously awaiting what will happen next now that a few chapters in this story are closed and new ones are opening. I am hoping that William's book will come soon.

This book started very slow and ended with the most exciting end! We FINALLY have the end of Paris suffering. Finally! I seriously couldn't take it anymore.

Unfortunately, Paris is not anymore the one that we all loved from the beginning. He is so dark and bitter and broken now. And just capable of literally anything to get to where/what/who he wants that I thought it would be impossible for this couple to have a HEA.

The heroine was super gullible yet I respected her for her strength. Its not everyone that would learn from their errors and be stronger on the other side. I aplaude her even if I wanted to hit her in a couple of situations.

I absolutely found hilarious the new addition to the team, Viola. I laughed a lot whenever she was in the scene.

I am just going to finish this review saying that it was worth the wait even though it was nothing at all what I expected for Paris.

4.5 meant for each other stars.
