This was a good, one-sitting read and it's made me realize that I need to explore more of the darker and horror fiction in adult category because these books are always leaving me a little disappointed.

I picked this book up in a charity book shop. I had only read this one in the series. IT WAS TERRIBLE!

My so-called phantom lovelife is a wonderful read for anyone who loves paranormal young adult fiction!

It is the fascinating tale of a girl called Skye, who was born with a fantastic psychic ability. Skye uses her skills for good by working at the 'Dearly Departed' spiritualist church, here she helps spirits pass over to the astral plane. She sees ghosts everywhere she goes and when a ghost called Owen alerts Skye to her drowning friend in the lake, they hit it off straight away. She begins to get to know Owen, he is a beautiful teenage boy with a noticeable scar on his face. Skye is curious because she knows that ghosts only stay on this earth if they have unfinished business or died tragically. Owen soon reveals that he had fallen through the ice, which he stepped on for a dare, during the snow . He has a mourning sister who visits the scene of the accident regularly, but Owen can't do anything to comfort her. Skye teaches Owen how to move away from the lake by carrying a pebble with him. But when Skye gets closer to Owen than her professional capacity allows she tries to encourage Owen to let go of this world and move onto the astral plane. Owen refuses point blanc and no amount of Skye talking to him will change his mind. In despair she resorts to getting back together with her ex, Nico. Nico is a member of the evil cult 'The Solomanarii' which promise ghosts a way to stay on this earth by enslaving them to the cult. This is Owen's dream ticket... can Skye stop him in time?
Tantalizingly twisting this book is very addictive. It is infact the third book in the series which includes (My so-called afterlife and My so-called haunting). I haven't read either of the previous books but I came against no problems in slipping straight into this one. I would read the others in the series because I enjoyed this book a lot. There were certain characters which I would have liked to see have a bigger role in the plot: like Mary. Mary is an ancient ghost of a witch, I think she could have been used a lot more for comedy purposes rather than just appearing occasionally to remind the reader that it is actually different to any other teen novel. About half way through the plot you stop thinking of Owen as a real ghost but as just a normal boy, this was quite misleading sometimes. Also the scene where she gets back together with Nico is slightly unrealistic considering she knows he is part of an evil cult? I wouldn't take someone back who was in that kind of group, no matter how 'normal' he makes it sound! I give this book a fantastic four stars!

I love this series! They are so much fun to read. I find myself picking them up and not putting them down until I've finished.

We catch up with Skye shortly after the events of My So Called Haunting. When Skye and her friends have an accident on the lake and almost drown, it is a ghost that helps Skye save her best friend. Befriending him, and finding herself very attracted to him she tries to help him sort out what is keeping him here so he can move on. On top of that Nico seems determined to get back into Skye's life, but can she ever trust him again?

Skye is such an awesome character and I love spending time with her. She so honest and sweet that I instantly like her and enjoy spending time with her. I also love how she interacts with Celestine and Jeremy - such a typical teenager in that respect. And I adore Mary. There is one scene involving her that almost made me choke it made me laugh so hard - it's the one where Skye asks her to speak English for once and ... well, let's just say she hits the nail on the head so to speak!

I'm glad Nico's back. I adored him in the last installment - at least until the scene in the cemetery and then I had no idea what to think of him. Like Skye I was completely torn. I was really glad to see him back and I really like the direction his story is taking.

I can't praise this series highly enough. As I said they are such great fun to read and they always leave me wanting more. I hope there are many more to come! On a side note, can I just say that I love the new cover designs - they really capture the feel of the books.

A wonderful story that flows on well from the preceding novels.
Skye is trying to get over her breakup with Nico when she also meets Owen, the ghost of a recently passed teenage boy whom she promptly has a crush on.
But can anything good come of her pursuing any kind of relationship with Owen as it could never develop due to his being a ghost, are they real feelings or confusion over Nico who has since made a re entry into her life.
But is he on the level about changing his bad ways or is he getting even deeper into the supernatural clan his father has involved him in and also save Owen's soul along the way who is also being sucked into their way of life.
An exciting story for Skye to work through with the help of her sidekicks Aunt Celestine her inept boyfriend Jeremy, a Romanian expert and the mad ghost of Mary Drover.
Brilliant, witty and inciteful just as good as the others in the series.

My So Called Phantom Love Life was a good end to the Afterlife trilogy. It was another enjoyable short read. Murray's writing style is simple, direct and sarcastic. I found myself getting more attached to the characters and romance in this book.

The fantasy concepts that were explored in this book were quite interesting. However, I would have liked to have seen a lot more. It would have been great if there had been more detail about the Solomonarii. I was left wanting more and would've liked it if Murray had made the book a little longer.

Overall, it was a nice, quick read but I wouldn't read it again anytime soon.

I'm starting to think that I give stars waay to easily.. xD
But honestly, this one has got to be my favourite out of the 3 bunch. But mostly because the two main characters (Skye & Nico) is finally making some positive development. I was practically tearing my hair out when he revealed his darker side in book 2 and thought they would be nemesis forever.
Ok, I should stop here with the spoilers. Will be looking forward for the next book!

This is the only one in the series I've read, however with the explanations of the last story, I didn't need to read anymore. The story is great and the building connection between Skye and Owen was both beautiful and heartbreaking, as he is dead and that complicates things. I found Skyes ex to be a creepy character and did not like him much at first, although he did grow on me later. The ending of this left me saddened, mainly because no one knew what happened to Owen

Sequel to My So Called Haunting, Skye's ex boyfriend, Nico, is causing trouble.

Skye meets a troubled teen ghost, Owen. Not exactly love at first sight but as Skye tries to help him pass across, they fall in love. Love is a very difficult thing and when you can't interact easily, it's even harder. Then, Owen finds a way for him to stay with her forever on Earth.
A really good read...

Well, I don't hate it but the fact that Skye got together with Nico again annoys me, especially since it was like a 180 character spin randomly from a pretty reasonable reason to dislike him and I also thought Skye would tell her friends about her "psyhicness" but she ended up telling a random stranger in the end. Great. Not exactly the ending I wanted in the series but the one I got was alright.

Another good read. I only gave it 3 stars because I did 'like it' but again I didn't enjoy it as much as the first. It was another very quick read, with the same characters from book 2.
I'm sure the young teens these are aimed at would love them all.

3/5⭐

Before I start a little warning that although I do my best not to spoil the previous books this review may accidentally mention somethings that happens in them. But I'll try and avoid it!

I was thrilled when I was asked if I wanted to review My So-Called Phantom Love Life, I adored the previous two books, My So-Called Afterlife and My So-Called Haunting and just couldn’t wait to return to see what happened with Skye – not to mention to see if some of the loose ends were tied up. My So-Called Phantom Love Life didn’t disappoint.

As with the other two books the story focuses around Skye trying to help a ghost pass on, to try and work out what’s holding them here so that they can get on with their afterlife. In this story said ghost is named Owen, but this time things are a little different – over the story Skye builds up feelings for Owen and she doesn’t really want him to go. If anything she wants him to stay!

I was very pleased to see the return of some familiar characters, especially Nico and the ghost that can always make me smile, Mary. Owen, our new ghost was a welcome member of the cast – adding a new dimension to Tamsyn's ghostly world – is it possible for a human to have a relationship with a ghost?

Although My So-Called Phantom Love Life is a fun read it goes down a path which makes is a little darker than the earlier books, nothing in there that was too dark but with a more thorough look at the Solomarri from the previous book it was bound to happen.

Once again Tamsyn's writing sped along interweaving the back story of the other books when required effortlessly – so much so that needing to read them is not a requirement. You can hop straight into this one without getting lost.

Disappointment.
That’s what I felt while reading this.

Spoilers:

I loved the start, learning about her family and then her getting to know Owen. Because I did realise this was a frickin sequel I never got that connection to Nico I presume people got in the previous book. I hated him so much and when he got ‘redeemed’ I was pissed. The whole evil cult plot line was very predictable and just eh. The book was just not good. Definitely wish I’d know it was a series as I wouldn’t have read it.

Another gorgeous book in the series. Again, I could not put this one down. Lovely to see some familiar faces. Mary grew on me a lot in this book, and really made me laugh.

Tamsyn Murray is an incredibly talented writer, one for my "favourites" shelf.
