Matsuri Hino was born on January 24 in Hokkaido. She was a bookshop keeper who one day decided to become a manga artist, and all of nine months later, in 1995, she published her first manga title, Kono Yume ga Sametara (When This Dream Is Over), in Japan's LaLa DX magazine.

I started watching Vampire Knight and a friend recommended this series to me, as I am a vampire series fan. This boxed set is nicely packaged in a sturdy carry box. I want to start collecting the books so this is a great place to start.

This is my first time reading manga. I came to Vampire Knight via the anime, which I loved so much I had to read the manga to find out what happens next. This box set took me up as far as the story I knew, so I look forward to beginning the next box set for the new plot lines. Sometimes the over-sized hands in the drawings look weird to me, but most of the artwork is gorgeous. The characters and story are excellent, and I recommend this book for manga fans who also love vampires and a bit of angst.

Loving this series, it was my first manga and it amazing, both the story and the illustrations (truly awe-ing art). #10 is one of my favorites, the ending is so sad but great at the same time, with characters that you will fall in love with and become so close that you will share their annoyance, cuteness and anger.

I really love this manga. It is a story about a girl named Yuki who tries to protect peace between humans and vampires. She and her brooding companion, Zero keep the students of the Day Class separate from the Night Class, who are secretly vampires. The story has many twists and turns and Yuki finds herself in a love triangle between Zero and Kaname. Kaname also plays a large role in the destruction of the pureblood vampires. In the later volumes, we learn more about the Kuran family and their secrets.

Ansich gute Buchreihe, aber Kaname der kleine P*sser und Yuki aaahhhh omg i hate it!
Die ganze Beziehung von ihnen… einfach nur HASS!
Zero bester Mann.
Und alle anderen die da vor kommen auch mega (keine Ahnung wie die jetzt alle hießn)

Aber zu dem Ende von der Buchreihe muss ich noch was sagen…

Ihr seid so scheiße wirklich… warum überlebt Kaname und wird ein fucking Mensch und warum muss Yuki sich für ihn opfern… wtf :/

Lo que puedo decir es que este manga me lo quise leer porque me vi el anime hace mucho tiempo y me dejó con ganas. Y los primeros 10 mangas fueron todo lo que esperaba y mas!

Seguiré sin dudas con los demás y con un poco de suerte y ganas los terminaré bastante rápido porque éste me dejó con más ganas que el mismo ánime.

Una montaña rusa de emociones. Está historia es un Dark Romance antes de que se popularizada el término. Una historia de un romance apasionado, tormentoso y obsesivo que por más angustiante e incluso un poco "tóxico" bien que nos tiene enganchadas a la lectoras y a quienes vimos el anime

Kirjastonhoitajan työn parhaita puolia on päästä lukemaan tällaisia aarteita, joihin ei muuten törmäisi missään tai saisi maksaa itsensä kipeäksi jokaisen osan ostamisesta. Tämä pikku helmi hankittiin (ilman minun myötävaikutustani) Rellun lukiokirjastoon, mistä tietysti takavarikoin sen itselleni huolelliseen kesäsäilytykseen.
Parin ensimmäisen osan ajan luulin lukevani kliseisen viihdyttävää shojoilua, mutta tarina pääsikin yllättämään. Mukana on kaikki klassiset elementit: ylipirteä ja herttainen päähenkilö, johon kaksi aivan liian hyvännäköistä "pahaa poikaa" on kilvan rakastunut. Jopa päähenkilön nimi, Yuki, on mangoissa aivan liian käytetty (tarkoittaa lempeää prinsessaa). Miljöö on sekin monesta mangasta tuttu sisäoppilaitos ja vampyyrit nyt ovat suosionsa huipulla missä hyvänsä genressä.
Tarinan päästyä vauhtiin leppoisa vitsailu loppui ja soppa sakeni varsin synkäksi. Mukaan mahtui jopa kunnon yllätyksiä. Ajoittain tarina tosin jäi polkemaan paikalleen, mutta aina vauhtiin päästyään Vampire Knight oli mangaa oivimmillaan. Valitettavasti tarina ei kuitenkaan päättynyt tähän, ja lukion kirjamäärärahat on tältä vuodelta käytetty..

I really liked it up until the time jump. And then it quickly went downhill into incoherent wackiness. I dunno ... there was a lot of potential here that I think was kind of wasted by the nonsensical plot.

I also find the art kind of weird looking. Sometimes I think there are nice looking moments. But overall, the art looks sloppy and hideous. The action sequences are especially badly drawn, and I have no idea what's going on most of the time.

I will say I wish I could've read the second half in Japanese. You always lose a lot in translation. Unfortunately, I was not about to spend the money to buy the Japanese editions.

I'm not touching this one, so far.. 'cause this is my FAVORITE so far.
This even if it's fiction and drawings or anime, this story has such drama between brother, sister, friends, parents, blood relationships, and of course the whole ordeal with the high counsel... that just wow!
this is a really good story, sad and dramatic, just as sweet and dramatic again.
