When my children were young, we read through Hero's Tales as our morning devotional.

Drawing from the lives of faithful men and women throughout church history, authors Dave and Neta Jackson teach character lessons to young (and older) children. All hero sections include a two-page biography and three character lessons in the form of stories from the person's life. Each lesson closes with a Bible verse and three discussion questions. All of the books contain 15 biographies, and all of the character qualities discussed in each book are listed in the back.

Reading missionary stories have encouraged me and my kids to share Christ with others God has put into our world. My daughter is sad that we are almost done with this 4 book series.

This is an excellent book containing spiritually inspiring stories of a wide assortment of seemingly ordinary individuals who were used by God to do extraordinary things. It covers the lives of 15 people in brief, exciting, and easy to read entries. Reading this book is a fun way to learn about church history as well as be challenged as to potentially how your life could be used by the Lord as well.

We read parts of this book during our first and second years homeschooling. This is another book that I kept when I resold our curriculum. A very good book with stories of some great Christian Heros in our history.

Read and discussed aloud with my daughter for bible time in school. Excellent book about real people who share their faith in a variety of ways. I enjoyed our discussions on the characteristics of these amazing Christian Heroes and the convictions that were brought out in my own heart.

A great collection of short biographical studies of well known missionaries or people who caused major changes to the Christian church. Good insight into their lives and character and some discussion questions for each section.
