There's nothing revolutionary in here. But it's a good overview to get you thinking about things again. It starts with a rundown of what you should be counting/looking at to get in the mindset. And if you're not a picky eater like me haha, there's a ton of recipes starting on page 36.
This book doesn't have any details for the 2 Week Quick Slim, unless it's just doing the 3 400-calorie meals a day? I'm not sure.

Basically, count your calories, watch your macros (though it doesn't use that terminology), fill half your plate with lower-calorie fruits and veggies, use smaller plates & dishes, and watch out for sneaky and easy-to-overlook calories like in dressings and different brands of the same item.

It has the full nutrition facts for each recipe and two variations on how to "Make It a Meal" by adding different sides and/or toppings to the main recipe. It's nice to have different ideas and see how much bang for your buck you can get so to speak within the 400-calorie framework.

I am a very picky eater though, especially when it comes to vegetables. And I'm short on pantry space and energy. So between the amount of ingredients you're using to make things from scratch (so you know/control the exact calories and nutrients better I guess) and the amount of substitutions I'd personally have to make, a lot of the recipes weren't very useful for me personally. I did copy a handful of them though.

Easy, delicious and nutritional recipes all around 400 calories per recipe. Stats are given for the completed meals so you can see the calories and nutritional content for each at the bottom of the recipe page. There are some pictures as well.

I particularity liked that there are a number of flavorful recipes form different parts of the world. Spices are used from locations like Greece, the Middle East, the Caribbean, Africa and Mexico.

The ingredients are easy to find in a grocery store, and although these recipes are for omnivores many can be "tweeked" for vegetarians and vegans.

This is quite useful to me. Have checked it out of library twice. If it has come out in paperback I'd buy it.

Too many short cuts and processed foods for my taste.
