The first part is one of the few stories where Lizzie and Matts storylines are fully intertwined when he turns up at Lizzies school. In the second part they are made to do a marriage project for school and Miranda is partnered with Ethan ! The second part does show Ethan in quite a poor light and shows is naive teenage boy mind

Another book from my Little Free Library that I wanted to read just for the fun of it and now will be returning having read it.

This one is adapted from two TV episodes of the Lizzie McGuire show from Disney. I watched this show when it was on, loved it. I've been a longtime fan of Savage Steve Holland, the animator of Lizzie's internal monologue, so that was my initial reason for tuning in, then I just fell for the characters and the writing.

First up, Lizzie's brother Matt winds up on the wrong bus and spends the day inventing a new life to impress Lizzie's classmates, each claim getting more and more ridiculous, but the kids eat it up, much to Lizzie's chagrin.

The second story, originally written by Nina Bargiel, involves a class project where Lizzie's classmates all pair up to see what married life is like. Lizzie doesn't get the match she wants, so is distracted during most of it, even though she gets lucky enough to match with her best friend. Turns out, her nemesis is out to ruin things for her other best friend, who did happen to get her match choice.

Two fun episodes, worth the read.

Lizzie finally gets asked to lunch with a guy she has liked for a really long time. He says that he wants to introduce his new friend to her too. His new friend ends up being Lizzie's little brother Matt. Matt gets popular in under a day and Lizzie doesn't like it very much.
This book was just a fun book to read. I recommend it to anyone that loves old Disney shows and likes to listen to brothesr and sisters fight.

3.5/5 - While I am not a huge fan of the episode where Matt goes to Lizzie's school, I definitely LOVED the episode where they were pretending to be married for a social studies project. Makes me LOL!

Read through this in the year of our Lord 2025 mostly because I'm clearing out my books from my childhood & teen years out of my personal library…and also nostalgia.

…I should've let the nostalgia stay exactly as it was. The characters that I'm starting to piece together into tangible people based off of the snippets that we as the readers see in the novelizations…it breaks the rose-tinted cartoon glasses, lemme just say that. Especially my memories of Miranda.

The first story again revolves around Matt causing problems. He catches the wrong schoolbus and ends up at Lizzie's school where he begins telling one lie after another. For some reason the students believe his lies and end up thinking he's really cool and sort of famous.

This interfers, of course, with Lizzie's plan to have lunch with her love-interest, Ethan. Eventually things go too far and Lizzie calls the police who haul Matt out of the school but the other kids think that having that also done is cool.

There is no doubt that Matt has serious behavior problems. He also seems to have absolutely no concern about anyone but himself as it never occurs to him that his parents might be worried about his not showing up at his proper school.

Based on episode 14, Lizzie's Nightmare.

The second story in this book is about a social studies project where the students are "married" and have to work out the details of their lives together, then attend a pretend 20th anniversary reunion and talk about how their marriages worked.

One of Lizzie's friends is paired with Ethan, while Lizzie is paired with Gordo. Things take a bad turn when Lizzie finds out that Kate and Ethan are scheming to embarrass Miranda during the reunion. Lizzie finally manages to warn Miranda after Kate dumps her pretend-husband in front of everyone, and Miranda rises to the challenge.

An interesting story. I can see where such a thing would make an interesting social studies or home economics project in a real school. The whole thing is about working together, both in a marriage and in the school project, and Lizzie spends so much time worrying about Ethan and than about Miranda that she doesn't work as closely with Gordo as she should.

Lizzie’s brother got in trouble and missed his bus and got on the wrong bus and he had to go to Lizzie’s school, he was acting like he was a famous person and did a movie with “steven spielburg”. Lizzie didn’t like the fact that Matt went to her school.

In part two lizzie’s class had to do a project on marriage. Everybody had to have a partner, females had to have a male as their partner. Lizzie was hopeing that she’ll get Ethan Craft the total hottie of the school, no, she got her friend Gordo, and her friend mirandia got Ethan Craft. Lizzie was shocked, each couple had to have a career, Gordo was a trash man, lizzie was a lawyer, mirandia was a house, and Ethan Craft was a doctor.
One day lizzie saw something really bad, she saw Kate and Ethan together, Kate was so popular, she loved Ethan as much as lizzie did.Kate’s husbend was larry the nose picker. On the day of the party Lizzie had to tell mirandia that Kate and Ethan was going to plan to leave Larry and mirandia. Mirandia didn’t believe it because she thought that lizzie was jealous of her just because she was married to Ethan craft. Turns out it was true that Ethan was going to break up with Miranda, later that night the three friends were talking on the phone, Miranda said,” I can’t believe Ethan was going to break up with me, Gordo kept nagging about him being a trash man so Miranda and lizzie played a prank on him, so lizzie and mirandia hung up the phone on him, it’s important to you and I to have good friends around to watch out for your back.

This book is about a teenage girl named Lizzie McGuire who has a crush on a boy at her school named Ethan Craft.Ethan wants to have lunch with her for the first time.But a mysterious kid arrives at that school the same day she is going to have lunch with him.And it turns out it is her brother.She goes crazy when she finds out that it is her brother and he embarrassed her the whole day.And told her crush bad things about her and lies so she looked totally humiliated.Part two of this book is about a marriage project in social studies.And of course Lizzie wanted Ethan to be her husband but instead her husband is her best friend Gordo.And Miranda her other best friend is with her crush.Lizzie went to get a smoothie at Digial Bean when she caught Kate Sanders the queen bee of the school trying to cheat the project and switch husbands to Ethan but they both got caught and humiliated at the same time from their spouse at the marriage reunion at the end of the week.
