A good read through or read-aloud for children. Pictures on each page spread.

As I read these Biographies I am noticing a pattern emerge regarding these amazing dedicated personalities, many of them as children decided what it was they wanted to do with their lives. From there it became an obsession and with parents support they were able to do it.
The power of wishful thinking seems to be present in almost all of these Biographies.
This series should be in the young readers section of every school library. This is a Good Read.

Reading this story, I learned about a figure in American history that I did not know much about. Another great story for any kid who loves American history. Also would be a good choice for a read-aloud for classrooms and families.

A fun book about a remarkable man, although my 9 year old son would have preferred more about the sea battles and less about JPJ’s childhood.
