**3.5**

Interesting how consistent the normal books are down to the number of chapters, but the special books are kinds of whatever works for the story. Sometimes they start in droon, sometimes it’s a different pov. It’s jarring and refreshing at the same time

I thought this one was going to be boring to me because i’m not much of a history person. But it was fun! I wish they went chronologically in time, but maybe they went in order of importance of the treasures

I’m surprised they could tell what was the treasure and what wasn’t. Is it just because galen told them?

- Eric thinks he’s having a vision of the dark lands. He meets gethwing who is suppised to be in the upper world
- 5 treasures that created the staircase were stolen. The history in the tower of them was wiped clean
- Saba is ko’s phantom
- Galen can help in all 5 time periods
- Quill is coming with. Won’t he get behind writing the history?
- Find the first treasure
- Get to the second story and are captured by ninns
- Teenage sparr moving to a palace where he has galen and treasures
- This is when sparr invented the three powers
- Discuss destroying them but then some good things in the future wouldn’t happen
- Suggested to galen he reshape them and hide them like the legends say
- Knights of silversnow help find galen in the 3rd timeline
- See selves from the last time they traveled to Tortu
- All of zara’s kids can make phantoms. Real galen from current time hold eric back while others follow phantom
- Travel way back in time instead of forward. Galen needs help figuring where to put the stairs
- Eric uses the phantom to reach galen in the upper world
- Last treasure is a petal from the wand or urik when creating the staircase
- Destroyed ko’s palace!
- Restored the stairs with the petal
- Keeah, khan, and relna come with to the upper world

This is great adventure through the history of Droon. It reviews a lot of what has happened in the series so far. I like that. I also love that the story pushes everything forward at the same time. Abbott is a great storyteller.

This was the best one yet. When Eric, Julie and Neal are trapped in Droon after the rainbow stairs disappear, they must travel back in Droon's past to find the special treasures needed to rebuild the stairs. Amazing how all the parts of the story came together!

I've decided to read The Secrets of Droon series entirely for Christmas since i've been feeling a bit nostalgic. I want to be able to live a bit of the magic of being a kid and what beeter to help than this incredible series. I know that this series is for young kids but i feel it will still be great after all these years.
One of the best Droon adventures so far. It was overflowing with action, adventure, magic, friendship, mystery and delight. We learn much about Droon's past in this continuation of the last book, The Riddle of Zorfendorf Castle. The gang has to battle Ko and Saba through time to be able to find the treasures needed to restore the rainbow stairs. It was simply incredible and the plot doesn't end in this one now the gang has to go to the Upper World to find Sparr and defeat Gethwing.

The three friends are stuck in Droon . King Zello and Queen Relna send them on a long quest to recover some magical things that will get them back home .
The friends have 15 hours 38 minutes to recover all the magical things .
It is a good game of" beat the clock" and return home .
My most favorite of the DROON special edition series .

Peter has really enjoyed this series to read after Magic Tree House (though this isn't as educational) and before I'll let him get into Harry Potter. They are too scary for bedtime reading but material is clean and not too gruesome.
