OK I know these are supposed to be kid books but they are awesome! Great pictures and just enough text to make you want to learn more. Great choices for a beginning history reader or to start an older reader out in a new area. Every time I pick one of these up and read it I learn new things. Highly Recommended
A good introduction to the Arctic and Antarctic regions for middle school students. Includes lots of pictures along with short informative text. As a Bible-believing Christian, the only issue that I have with this series is that it promotes an old-earth time line and speaks about how climate change is mainly a result of mankind. It doesn’t give any other view to these theories.
What: This book goes into detail about the arctic and antarctic including what the climate is like, where it is located, and the animals that live there. It goes into some detail about the different animals including the different body parts and how they are used in the arctic and antarctic, what they eat, and their homes. It also goes into how humans live in these harsh environments. So What:Students must know how animals and environments interact for survival. Now What: The students will choose an animal that lives in this environment and create a diorama including where the animal lives, what it eats, and somethings specific to the environment.
