Love or Music…
Which should they choose and what price do they have to pay?

Tully has no memory of what happened at the ancient passage grave on the night of the full moon, but Kit was there too.
She finally figures out what he chose.

And decides he got it wrong.

The Celtic god of love and music might have made their wishes come true, but the price is too high –– a hopeless future trapped in their deadbeat home town, unless Kit can find a way to change it.

Unfortunately, there’s only one way to do that.
Kit needs to seek out Aonghus again.

But now she knows the risks involved, is she desperate enough to go through with it?
Especially when Tully doesn’t agree?

This one was cute as well. I liked the POV and hearing about the last part of school. The living situations changing and the dramas there, I found it light on Tully and Kit drama and high on friend drama. It was good but very short. Interested to see where the next one takes us!

A huge thank you to the author and publisher for providing an e-ARC via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion regarding the book.

Mocha does it again with a great sequel in the Kit and Tully series. This book continues after the first but for this one we follow Kit and not Tully. Honestly I miss Tully as our narrator, I don't like Kit as much as I do the carefree happy Tully.
It was still a good read though and like I thought the Celtic god and magic was a bit more involved in this book than the last. It was nice to see where that fits into this story more. I can't wait to see where this story and relationship goes. If your looking for a sort, fast moving story with a bit of magic and a lot of music and romance this is a book series for you.

"First Valentine" by Mocha VonBee is the second book in the Kit & Tully series. This book is told from Kit's perspective. It was really interesting to see everything happening through Kit's eyes— it provides the reader with a deep understanding of her thoughts, emotions, and concerns. I enjoyed reading about all of the sweet moments between Kit and Tully as they continue realizing how strongly they feel about each other and as they both strive to create different lives for themselves. It was great to see Spike and Felice again! As well as their ever strong friend group. The author has done great work continuing to weave mysterious elements of Celtic Mythology into the story. The speed of the plot was just right and the author's writing style is smooth. This story includes: a 1990s small town Irish setting, well written three-dimensional characters, songwriting, music, Celtic Mythology, friendship, love, and conflict. This series continues to be mysterious, intriguing, and lots of fun. I highly recommend this book and series! Thank you very much to the author for providing me with a digital copy of this book to read and review honestly.

I’m invested in Kit and Tully’s story now!

I liked this one so much better than the first one, it was super interesting to read the continuation of their story from Kit’s side. I believed that I enjoy this one more because we can see a deeper understanding of Kit’s feelings and how develop. We can see her grow through the book.

At the beginning, she has a lot of insecurities about her relationship with Tully, but as. they. continue theirs relationship and see the opinions of her family and friends. She stays true to the relationship and trusts that they are good together.

In the other side, it’s hard to see how she completely focus on the well-being and professional future of Tully instead of also fucking focussing on her and her dreams. Specially because her parents don’t agree with what she wants for her future so they give in on other things she wants so they they can still manipulate her. And she just goes with it instead of fighting back and fight for herself just as hard as she fights for Tully.

Overall, it was a great read. I can’t wait for book 3, so we can learn more about their story and see how it develops..

I loved this next instalment in Kit & Tully's relationship and I can't wait to read more about their future. The supernatural feel and the Celtic folklore are fascinating and really add something extra and new to the YA romance element, making it more than just another romance book. I also love the fact that the side characters are so important and less like side characters. Typical side characters are not very important and sometimes feel like they're there just for the sake of it, but Felice and Spike are almost as important as Kit and Tully and it makes these books seem as if they could easily be described as books about friendship as much as books about romance. Mocha's writing style is great and I whizzed through this book in a day. I'll definitely be picking up more of her books.

Thank you to NetGalley and the author Mocha VonBee for an ARC copy of the book so I could write this honest review.

I reviewed the first book in December and I’m so glad I got to review the second one as well. The first book left me wanting for more, I couldn’t wait to know what would come next for Kit and Tully so when the second book arrived in less than a month, I was stocked! Safe to say, I absolutely loved it and I’m sure other readers will too. Seeing Kit and Tully’s relationship evolve over time, watching them grow and become two wonderful people made this book pretty perfect. While the first book was from Tully’s pov, this one’s from Kit’s which gave this book a refreshing new take. I loved how everything slowly fell into place for both of them and can’t wait to see the next chapter of their story!

This is the second book in the series. Fair warning it is not a stand alone.
I love lad how it picked right up and was told by Kit this time. Kit is struggling with does Tully have to chose love or music. Even with her insecurities she still pushes Tully towards his dream.
This book offers for insight into the parents, and the struggles that Tully faces on a daily.
Of course the author Mocha Avon Bee left us with another cliffhanger, and I can’t wait to see what happens in Book 3.

I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.

First Valentine is book 2 in the kit & kully series by Mocha VonBee.
The novel continues where the first novel left off and follows Tully.
I enjoyed the story and the chemistry between the main characters.
Mocha has done it again with another well written novel, that had Me reading till the end.
I highly recommend the novel and look forward to reading more by the author.
I received a ARC e book copy of the book from the author in exchange for a honest review.

First Valentine by Mocha VonBee is the second book in the Kit and Tully series, which is just as good as the first book. This book develops Kit and Tully's relationship, following them both through the school year from the start of Kit's final year to the celebratory ball. We also watch Tully become a lead member in a new and emerging band within Dublin which is quickly expanding. Side notes include learning more about Kit's and Tully's families including Tully's mother's illness. As well as the various mysteries, primarily with Aonghus.

The second installment in the Kit and Tully series, this book is written from Kit's POV. In this book we get a more in depth view of their relationship and how music can and will affect it. I enjoyed that their was more romance in this book and that we get a more in depth view of Kit and her relationships with her family and at school. This helped me connect with the characters more. Again, with the same as the last book, I think both books could be put together with different chapters from a different characters point of view to limit the amount of filler that is in the book. However, saying this, First Valentine is a nice, quick, easy read if you want a hit of romance with a mix of magic.

Kit and Tully's story continues with Kit's last year in school before college and Tully's working while navigating being in a band. Kit continues to believe she made a deal to get Tully either fame or love, while everyone else is skeptical as to that having happened. Though Tully is no longer with Black Death after Mac Whitehead ousted him without a comment, he has found a new band and is gaining traction with them. The story ends with Kit's graduation but leaves the anticipation of whether Kit and Tully's love story will triumph or will Tully's fame win over all.

3/5 stars! I was on the fence about the first book in this series and wanted to give the second book a chance. I'm not sure that my feelings shifted much. I found Kit to be a little depressing as a narrator. I will say this story did a more cohesive job of making the romcom angle and the magic angle line up better. In the first book, it felt very disjointed. It was a quick read and while it didn't add anything unique to the genre, its an enjoyable read.

The second book in this series is told by Kit, and that was an exciting change, but I do miss Tully because he was an entusiastic narrator. The magic in this book felt weirder than in the last one, because I expect it to be more present and at the end it was just talked about by one character. But it was lovely to see Kit's and Tully's life continue and their relationship develop more and more.

First Valentine is Book 2 in the Kit & Tully Series

The tale of Kit & Tully and their fateful choice, Love or Music, continues from Kit’s point of view. The story opens at the end of the summer. Kit is dreading going back to boarding school but hopes an exciting opportunity will soon bring Tully to Dublin too!

But when nothing goes as planned, and Mac Whitehead reveals his true colours, Kit becomes convinced that she and Tully really did wake Aonghus and are now faced with the consequences of their choice.
Tully clearly doesn’t believe any of it, and her closest friends are sceptical, so Kit decides it’s up to her to change things. She’s disturbed a sleeping Celtic god once before but, now she knows what’s at stake, can she do it again?
And, if she does, will Aonghus make things even worse?

It's also nice to see Kit and Tully together again, in a real relationship setting this time, where they can show their feelings… so you've done a good job of building that tension and stringing along the reader!
