The eighth book in the Norby series involves another time travel plot. Admiral Yobo wants to go back in time to get photographs of the elephant that was the source of a tusk that is now a family heirloom. He puts pressure on Norby and Jeff to take him back through the years using Norby's time travel capabilities, only to discover that the tusk is from a mastodon. Complications ensue and they almost get stuck in prehistoric times.

This is another mediocre entry in the Norby series. There are a few messages embedded in this book about the importance of diversity, taking pride in one's heritage, as well as tolerance and inclusion. But all of that gets buried in what is, ultimately, a pretty dull story. Not the high point of this series.

Fast-moving, fun time-travel adventure. I felt a little like a guest in a sequel, but didn't truly mind. It might be best with advanced thinkers in fifth or sixth grade.

Nice. The transitions between the two authors was somewhat noticeable.

This was another fun Norby adventure. Admiral Yobo decides he needs to go back in time to photograph the elephant from whose tusk a family heirloom had been created. (I thought that premise was a little weak, but I overlooked it because it was still fun.)

They go back in time where they get to hang out with ancient tribes and see giant mastodons. They get to deal with all the troubles of time travel and have a good adventure while doing it.

This stood up pretty well to the fun, light hearted adventures that Norby and Jeff Wells are known for.

The eighth story, published in 1989, of Norby's adventures. Penned by Isaac Asimov's wife, this one involves adventures in Africa. Not remembered.
