The first two stories were the best in my opinion. I especially enjoyed the short story by Lucy Score.

I’m not sure what got into me, but I decided to read another holiday anthology, which makes two in a month. But I’m glad I did because MERRY EVER AFTER did not disappoint.
HOT ITEM by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward is holiday romance novella perfection! Our hero and heroine meet when they fight over the last toy robot in the store on Christmas Eve. Witty banter, a holiday surprise. This was the sweetest most heartwarming story I’ve read in forever and I LOVED it!!!
The second story is ONE NIGHT ONLY by Lucy Score, and whereas the first book was Hallmark wholesome, this one was steamy. I haven’t clicked with any Lucy Score story before (granted, I’ve only tried two) but this story about a divorced mom and an aging rocker was fantastic.
A KELLAN HOLIDAY by Tijan is a paranormal story, a genre I’m not usually a fan of - nor was I in the mood for. So I skipped it.
HOLIDAY SWING by Kennedy Ryan was good, but I could have used a little more of this one. The first two stories left me feeling all fa la la la la and in a festive holiday mood. This one had a little too much drama for the light-hearted vibe I was riding.
The last story, NOCHEBUENA by Marie Force, was enjoyable for me - but this is a story you’re most likely to enjoy only if you’ve read the series the characters belong to. I have so it was enjoyable, but if you haven’t read the Miami Nights series, this one may not connect with you.
So yay for me - I’m having some good luck with the holiday novellas this year. Maybe I’ll search my TBR list and see if I can clear off some more!

HOT ITEM by Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This might be a short story but it it’s a great short story. You get sucked in straight away. The characters are great, it’s got laughter, sadness and loads of chemistry between Bryce and Holly. Really enjoyed it!
ONE NIGHT ONLY by Lucy Score ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Loved it! Goosebumps throughout the whole short story. The story and the characters are great. It made a refreshing change having the characters slightly older than normal. Brooke is at a concert and is trampled in the mosh pit. She is then rescued by non other than Vonn the guitarist from the band. Thoroughly enjoyed this story and loved that there was a bonus scene for the story to complete it.

This was strange and took me a while to get into it. I didn’t really get it and then at the end I realised it’s a short novella based on characters from one of the authors books. Think it would have made more sense to me if I’d read that first.
HOLIDAY SWING by - Kennedy Ryan ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This might have been short but was so good. The characters and the story draw you in straight away and your filled with goosebumps throughout it. Sinclaire is fighting to keep her marriage going and agrees to go to a swingers party with her husband. The minute she gets there she comes to the stark reality that she doesn’t want him anymore and she can’t go through with this. That is until she hides away and falls into Harper. They have an amazing hour together and then part ways. Thoroughly enjoyed this story.
NOCHEBUENA - Marie Force
Didn’t bother reading this one is a short story made up of lots of different view points, all based on stories I haven’t read so thought it pointless.

I honestly do not know when I started this book, but I’m just going to rate every single story to make up for the fact it took me this long to read novellas.
Hot Item - Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward
4.5 ⭐️
“Gorgeous. Of course. And a jerk. Aren’t they all?”
I never truly disliked anything these two authors make, this one is no exception. What a cute little story, and it was really wholesome. The fact that the kid knows it, too, is really sweet.
One Night Only - Lucy Score
3 ⭐️
“They still want more. They want pieces of you. Pieces they can hold up under a magnifying glass to judge their worth. Be raw. Be real. Be fuckin’ vulnerable. Let me judge you, dissect you, digest you to decide if you’re good enough.”
So it wasn’t all that bad. There were reflecting moments, yet the timing of it all seemed a bit fast. Although, I’m not really one to judge when someone decides to overshare things. Also that nickname, he calls her since the first encounter was very strange, because he knows of her “situationship”.

“I couldn’t lose Shay. I could not. I would not. This was how it had to be.”
Honestly it was confusing of how the friend knew, yet didn’t know. How does a bond even get woven that deep to reach Tartarus? That “glowing change” thing that happened was a bit puzzling, too.

“But I want to see you again. I don’t believe we found each other like this just to let go.”
Was not what I expected to get into. But the husband got what was coming. The other guy really is whipped.
Nochebuena - Marie Force

I like the different points of views. Reminds me that different individuals go through different things, but they hold on to each other, they hold on to tradition, and they hold on to family. Gives me Let It Snow vibes, but family version.

Merry Ever After was a great read by Vi Keeland, Penelope Ward, Lucy Score, Tijan, Kennedy Ryan, and Marie Force. This set consists of; Hot Item by Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward, One Night Only by Lucy Score, A Kellan Holiday by Tijan, Holiday Swing by Kennedy Ryan, and Nochebuena by Marie Force. Hot Item was a good read by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. Bryce never thought they would be getting into a fight with a stranger over a toy on Christmas Eve. I really enjoyed reading this story. One Night Only was a good read by Lucy Score. Brooke finds herself snowed in on Christmas Eve with, Vonn, a retiring rocker that she's been trying to interview. I enjoyed reading this story. A Kellan Holiday was a good read by Tijan. Humans are ignorant of powerful and majestic creatures around them. Kellan is the most powerful demon. Nothing can stop him except a stupid prophecy. Holiday Swing was a good quick read by Kennedy Ryan. Sin's husband decides on the fifth wedding anniversary that he wats another woman. Their marriage counselor suggested they experiment to reignite their sex life when nothing else helped. Her husband chose to attend a swing party. Once there, Sin decides that she can't go through with it and realizes that her marriage is over. She had no intention of being with anyone else until she meets Harper. Nochebuena was a good read by Marie Force. Nochebuena is the Cuban community's Christmas Eve celebration. This book follows almost every member of a family and their holiday celebration. I enjoyed reading this book and cant wait to read more by the author.

2.One night only by Lucy Score 5. love this middle age mom & middle age rock star romance. Vonn (bass player for Sonic Arcade) cancel interview with XXX. She is injured in the mosh pit of their final concert, Vonn jumps into crowd, saves her, take her to hospital, home, stays after discovering she's alone xmas eve.
3. a Kellan Holiday by Tijan no stars. This story made no sense to me. It's based on some other books I know nothing about. I did not enjoy the writing style or the plot Kellan is demon. Girlfriend Shay is Angel/messenger.
4. Holiday Swing by Kennedy Ryan 3 stars. Not my favorite KR book.- Sinclair marriage therapist agreed with husband Trey that trying a swinger group may spice up their marriage. But (IMO) Sinclair is not being honest to the therapist and if they couple is not having sex that is fulfilling to both party sending them to have sex will be a stupid thing for the therapist to suggest. Anyway, S realizes no way marriage can survive & runs into & fucks Harper
5. Nochebuena by Marie Force. chapter1: Maria & Austen who plays for Miami Marlins are returning from teammates Hawaii wedding and stuck with bad weather. Ch2: Dee & Dr Wyatt Blake night before his yearly checkup. CH3: Jason & Carmen are pregnant CH 4. Abuela and her gentleman friend ch 5. Sofia, son Mateo, her abusive ex and Nico ch6 everyone together

Love box sets to find new authors but sometimes you have to read what is not to your taste to get there.
Grabbed for the Lucy Score story.
VI KEELAND & PENELOPE WARD - HOT ITEM
3 stars. Found Holly the heroine a bit of a shrew at first but I did enjoy how this played out with the Santa fate part. Great twisty surprise.
Liked the positive attitude Bryce had, especially as he has so much money.
LUCY SCORE - ONE NIGHT ONLY
4 stars. Lovely to have mature characters as the main H’s.
Sweet and nice but I am so glad there was a bonus epilogue available which rounded it all out.
Would love to have this as a fuller story one day.
TIJAN - A KELLAN HOLIDAY
Couldn’t finish it. Didn’t appeal.
KENNEDY RYAN - HOLIDAY SWING
3 stars. Was better than expected.
Wasn’t keen on this at first with the swinger aspect but wanted to see if Sinclaire would ditch the ahole husband.
It was worth reading for the poetic justice alone but I did enjoy the strange circumstances of how these two meet up again.
MARIE FORCE - NOCHEBUENA
Book 3.5 in a series that I haven’t read.

I admit that this is me cheating to complete my reading challenge but I'm trying not to beat myself for it.
There have been a lot of changes in my life since the last time I read or logged a book so I'm looking forward to getting back to my old self and starting a routine again.
I'm not pushing myself or anything, I just miss reading and the thought of reading the books I used to love and enjoy so much is so exciting.
Anyway, I got this as freebie if I'm not wrong and I read the Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward (both of whom I love) story and I thought it was so so cute. I loved how the characters weren't rushed into falling in love instantly like other novellas normally do so this made my heart feel all warm and fuzzy.
Here's to a new year and hopefully I find myself coming here to log in books a lot more often ⭐️

I was excited to see that some of my favorite authors wrote holiday short stories. I actually enjoyed all of them. I am not a fan of paranormal, but I even enjoyed Kellan's story. It was a quick, easy read for all of these stories. Very much extended my Christmas spirit.

De los 5 relatos navideños, me gustaron 2: el de Vi Keeland con Penelope Ward, y el de Lucy Score.
El problema de los demás es que dos eran historias cortas de otros libros que no he leído, y el otro no está mal, pero tampoco fue mi favorito.
Le doy 3 estrellas.

There are several short stories, some more entertaining than others. The first one is very pretty and the last one left me intrigued with all its characters that I already went to look for the books.

It was really cute although I missed that intensity at the beginning and then at the literal last page it kinda came but meh. I mean for a short story it was really cute, the best one I’ve read so far. Love Lucy Score

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️,5 - One Night Only - Lucy Score - faltou um final mais satisfatório e só por isso não ganhou 5 estrelas e favorito. curti por serem personagens mais velhos, ambos, e mesmo não amando 100% o mocinho, o desenvolvimento deles foi bem agradável e o conto é bem hot, ao contrário do primeiro.
