This is one of my favourite cookbook. I have used it several times and tried different dishes. This weekend I was craving for some Indian food, so I picked 5 recipes, the potato cakes with stuffing, the red lentil soup, the Balti ground lamb with potatoes and fenugreek, the lamb with spinach and the beef madras (my favourite). I also prepared a fragrant basmati rice and bought some naan bread and mango chutney. Everything was absolutely delicious and very easy to prepare. Why did I rate 3 stars? Because I have to adjust the spices to my taste, as what they have is not enough. Per example, if a recipe asks for one teaspoon of cumin I would add two or more and so on. But the book is good all recipes are easy to make. Fortunately in Toronto is very easy to find all the ingredients.

Fantastic cookbook. So easily laid out, with step by step photos and clear explanations. made me a decent Indian food cook in no time. Got it when it first came out and these are still my go to recipes, today.
