Condemned in the streets, a fierce heroine in the sheets…if she can survive to the wedding bed and beyond! Don’t miss this Mature-rated bodice-ripper of an isekai romance manga for the all-new Seven Seas imprint dedicated to sexy romance for women!
When noblewoman Cecilia realizes she’s been reincarnated into an otome game, her shock is further complicated by the fact that she’s the villainess! What’s worse, she can’t seem to change her fate. Now, her engagement is broken off, the heroine is harassing her, and she’s forced to work in a brothel—where her very first customer turns out to be the debauched Leader of the Imperial Guard, Lucas Herbst. This dangerous Casanova looks like he’ll be the end of her, until he takes her as a fiancée!
Non-consensual sex. Painful for her; he’s using it to “mark” his ownership of her and wants it to hurt since first times are supposed to hurt for the woman, nice. Uber-possessive re: she’s never even touched or been touched, let alone kissed, by anyone else.
Once the reader gets past the “you’re in a brothel and I’ve paid for an entire night to be with you,” scene, it’s gets better. From his perspective mostly, which is surprisingly, considering his antiquated views on female ownership via “possessing” their bodies, not absolutely horrible.
2, not as bad as it could have been the entire time, stars.

What I liked: -The art. It’s very very nice! -Lucas’s dedication to Cecelia -Imagine going from being engaged to a prince to being sold to a brothel?! The plot line is wild for that.
What I disliked: -There was so much exposition between the scene with Lucas and Cecelia at the beginning and the rest of the action and it was kinda boring -I could not abide Cecelia calling Lucas “Sir Lukie!” during the deed. Nope.
I’ll most likely get Volume 2 to see if I should continue on.
An isekai (protagonist transported into a fictional world, specifically the "reincarnated into the body of an existing character" subtype) romance that's delightfully toxic and fun with an unhinged love interested that is dangerously obsessed, possessive, and jealous. Highly recommend for dark romance readers looking to get into manga, or anyone who doesn't mind a budding romance that skates the line of what's morally acceptable.
The premise is overall interesting but as we continue the story, it's clear the version of the characters in the game the protagonist has been reincarnated into are different than what was originally in the game because her presence and behavior differ from the script (since she is a different person that's merely taken the place of the Villainess and become conscious of that), which changes the trajectory of the story and her relationships with other characters.
Eh. Spice was alright just not feeling the story at all. I don’t think I will continue this series.
For those of you saying it’s to Rape-y Non consensual sex. Maybe you should do some history on brothels if you think women just go there for a good time you are sadly mistaken.
Women were old to brothels as slaves. You think they had a choice on who they slept with, or if they enjoyed it? Brothels were usually always nonconsensual.
And no, I’m not into Nonconsensual sex, but this is a work of fiction it’s fantasy. 🤷🏻♀️ people need to learn to separate fiction from reality. Will the story progress and get better? Who knows. I’m not going to read it, but it’s not for those reasons. I just found the book to be super boring the plot is just meh.
These kind of stories have just had a huge grip on my lately. Being reborn into a world as the villain where it’s actually different, and the characters learns and grows along the way. I love how Lucas I so protective of Cecelia. This is going to be a wonderful story.
It’s a 3.5 for me. I enjoyed it overall but there are some scenes early that have a big shock value and triggering for some with the non con. I’ll continue the series as I’m intrigued by Luke and what his agenda is where Cecilia is concerned.
Like every other isekai villainess ive read its nothing special, but ive enjoyed it cause honestly i bought it for the smut. There were parts that were just funny and made me laugh. We got our fmc/villainess who got fucked over by the heroine.
Her engagement with the prince got broken off and she was sent to a monastery, but instead she was sent into a brothel where her first customer was our unhinged mmc Lukeeeee. It was pretty common cutesy names but i didnt really like the LUKEY nickname ish. Its a quick read and yes Lukey did have a filthy mouth to him. He wanted to own her from the start. I did like the background story and I will in fact read volume two. I need revenge or something hopefully.
Ive read other villainess isekais and most of them are smart and know how to get out of this, but im just hoping this goes somewhere, then again smut was gewd if you love pure filth.
🖤 childhood friends to lovers? 🖤 unhinge mmc 🖤 over possesive and obsessive mmc 🖤 slight breath play 🖤 dubcon 🖤 virginiA fmc
I'm a little torn on this one, because while it's confusing to the extent that I feel like I'm missing some crucial background information, it's also wildly compelling. I love how unhinged the love interest is; he won't be for everyone, but as someone who enjoys a good dark romance, Lucas is the epitome of a dark romance lead. I'm looking forward to more, and am hopeful some of the unanswered questions and missing information will be provided later on.
Huh. I walked into this one. Should've guessed by the cover that this would be a ecchi one. Starts with the villainess' downfall where the heroine decides banishment or a nunnery isn't good enough and the villainess should be a prostitute instead. From there its the first night with a yandere that's been waiting in the wings. The art is okay but at times the prince has that old fashioned beautifying style going on. I liked the supporting maids. Curious how this one will play out, given the heroine is a b and the prince is after a side piece.

A really strong start to this series ! I am really intrigued in the world building behind it. Especially with Lucas and whatever his deal is. The art work is stunning once again and it really moved the story along
I didn't expect the first chapter to be so steamy. However, the plot is very good. Besides the first chapter, there isn't as much nudity. The ML is so handsome too. A handsome yandere. I really like the illustrations, especially the cover page and cover.

Was feeling like reading a manga with some spice....this scratched the itch I guess?
Lucas' dere dere dedication to Cecilia was something I liked but immediately cringed when she decided to call him Sir Lukie while he was knuckles deep💀
2.5 stars (but probably one of the most enjoyable 2.5 stars I've read).
A big portion of this is filthy graphic smut and the consent seemed questionable at times to me but I'm not sure if that was something lost in translation or not.
I 100% do not understand how the mfc was a villainess and they mention her being transported into this game world once and never again. It was a very messy plot that didn't make much sense or get explained.
All in all, not great kinda trash horny bad story-telling but I still had fun reading it and would like to see if any of these big plot questions get answered in future volumes.
The creepy factor of the male lead is nuts! His backstory really didn't help either. He's borderline sociopathic and his lack of explanation takes away any chance of consent.
Isekai into a character that is unjustly tossed into prostitution goes beyond toeing the line of non-consent. Through in the super creepy first customer and the borderline slave position...
The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead on 1 is because the implications caused by backstory meets miscommunication made for a situation of the male lead wanting to do right by her and being socially challenged... And creepy intense. This left me in a spot where I actually felt tempted to read one more volume just to see if the story improved.
Unfortunately, I don't think I'll read any more. Rather not spend my money on stories of non-consent messed up relationships.
I’m not going on a good reading steak here 😂 I just couldn’t get into this as much. I get the she’s a “villainess,” but he’s the true villain vibes. I just wish it felt a little less thriller-ish.
Overall okay manga, but the nickname for the Duke is a little annoying and childish and it threw me off. The way Cece acts is similar, but overall I enjoyed it.
I’ve read the other steamship titles (Other than Outbride but I do not like adult series with teenage protagonists what the hell is that all about?) and so I grabbed this one when I saw it was released.
I didn’t read much about what it was about so I don’t know if the description says the main FMC is a teenager in real life before being transported into whatever game she lives in now….but WHY is an adult spicy manga series starring a teenage girl?!! That’s the second one in this new line of books from Steamship and I think I’m just done buying them. Seriously these books feel like they were written by men. Yuck.
I liked the idea of books geared toward adult women who want a little spiciness to their stories but these have all been kind of ridiculous so far.
I didn’t even make it 1/4 of the way through this volume. The goofy pet names, the overly pushy and weirdly possessive dude, the fact that the entire novel is drawn in this vague washed out style OTHER THAN HER BOOBS…like wth. I’m so confused. The storyline is nonexistent.
Content Warnings: sexual content, sexism, classism, and child abuse.
Wow, this series is starting off strong! Haha. Literally, within the first few pages she's concerned he's going to sex her to death...and she doesn't want to go that way...and he's being extremely possessive.
They met as children, and though she may not remember their promise to meet again as adults, he's been obsessing over her and orchestrating ways to make her his.
When her engagement, to a dick, is dissolved and she's cast out and forced to work in a brothel...he finally feels it's time to claim what's "always" been his.
We get: -He falls first, if by fall you mean becomes obsessed and changes his life, and those around him, to ensure a future with her... -"I'm your first AND I'll be your last" -Anyone who even looks at her wrong...will regret it...and most likely be unable to touch anyone ever again -Lady to commoner to lady again? Within the span of a few days
Cecelia is the daughter of a high-ranking noble and she was engaged to the second crown prince of their kingdom since childhood. She was isekai'd into the "villainess" of an otome game she played in her previous life. A series of unfortunate events happen to her, which leaves in a brothel. The first night she has to serve a customer happens to be Lord Lucas, who descends from the dukedom. They have a very steamy night together that results in her being taken in by him. We learn that the two of them met as children. She admired his hard work ethic and he fell for her compassion, resulting in him doing everything in his power to have her. There's also a "touch her or I'll kill you" trope going on in this manga as well, which I gobble up every time. He's kind of a red flag, since he is really possessive and he forces his will upon her, but I can't say I didn't enjoy this manga.
I think I might try out the light novel of this series.
While I did like the first volume, some of it felt a little awkward and slightly questionable. Lucas is a bit obsessed with Cecilia, and it sometimes came across as stalker-ish. I did like the back story for both characters. Cecilia is the supposed villainess of the story, but I never got the 'why' she is.
Lately, I've been reading a lot more iseki (not sure if I spelled that right... a character gets transported or reincarnated into a different world) where the girl is the villainess of the story, and this one was slightly bland amongst some very good ones. Maybe the 'villainess' part will be explained more in volume 2. I do love the artwork, and I'm curious enough to continue.
Loved the story and laughed tons! It really is funny how they both have been thinking about each other (especially the knight). His obsessiveness is worrisome though >.< He has been planning this for awhile... No wonder once he had her he couldn't contain himself any longer... can't wait for the next book! I think the background of each character of the (evil) heroines side boys, will be explained further along the new releases (is my guess). Especially why the dress was given (without any other clothes like underwear...) Cause I think there is something to it there... A lot of things are left unexplained so I really wanna know more!
