According to an urban legend, there is a tunnel where you can get anything you desire in exchange for your youth—the Urashima Tunnel.
Kaoru and Anzu take advantage of their summer break to launch an in-depth investigation of the tunnel, with disappointing results. Kaoru is about to head home when Anzu suddenly invites him to her place. Kaoru’s nervous, and Anzu finally tries to express her “T-Tono-kun, I...”
The third volume of the manga adaptation of the popular and award-winning light novel!
This volume was so cute and also traumatizing learning what they are going through with their families. I was left wanting more though since there was 0 tunnel exploration in this one. But maybe that’s the point? Maybe they’re growing and realizing they can leave the past behind? Idk, but the love between Tono and Hana is so freakin adorable. I can’t wait to pick up the last volume.
Am I the only one not loving this? I mean it’s kinda cute, but nothing is really grasping me. I also feel like a lot is fast or cliche. Like characters changing so drastically or moods switching. I mean I know their teenagers with emotions they still have to understand & develop, but this isn’t catching me fully. I mainly just want to know what happens with the tunnel. Even the scenes with both of Tono’s parents just didn’t get to me either. I feel like the scenes or transitions are just too fast or mediocre. I feel maybe if I watched as a movie I would like it better than reading. I’ll see how I feel after. Plan to read the last volume to see how it ends, then maybe turn the movie on just to see the pretty graphics they come up with.
I want to note, not something bad at all. Could be kind of cute. I’m just finding it be a little lackluster for me.

In this volume, Anzu and Kaoru continue their exploration of the Urashima Tunnel, attempting to unlock its secrets. Along the way, Kaoru learns why Anzu is interested in the tunnel in the first place, has an unexpected reunion, and must make a lifechanging decision.
A lot more focus on the characters and their various struggles in this one.
Gorgeous artwork. A heartfelt story. Such a great series. I absolutely love the premise. Can't wait to read the final volume.
The relationship development between Tono and Hanashiro is giving me butterflies. The Fireworks chapter had me on cloud 9, especially that certain scene. Also I liked Kawasaki in this volume, she came a long way since the 1st volume. Her friendship with Hanashiro is actually cute. I just wish we got to spend more time dwelling on the mystery of the tunnel. There’s still questions I have.
A very nice little story. I liked the concept of the tunnel and the connection between the main characters. It felt too short, the end felt a bit rushed but I still liked it and I'd read it again sometime. (I'm going to ignore the fact he was in the tunnel for so long, never aged a day and meanwhile, she aged. The relationship after that doesn't sit too right with me but It is what it is)
These volumes are way too short. I’m absolutely in love with this series and I can’t wait to see what happens next. The fireworks setting in this volume and the deeper dive into the characters’ pasts was a nice break from the tunnel experiments. It will be nice to get back to it in the next volume though.
Everyone’s just trying to move on from their grief. Kaoru’s mom left. His dad wants to be with someone new and move into a new home… And Kaoru is just…on pause…
It was nice seeing him actually let himself “live” and go to that festival with Anzu and Kawasaki.. The next volume is the last and I hope it does the ending of the light novel justice.
Loved this volume. Surprisingly so, because the main theme of the manga, the tunnel, was not really present in the volume. The romance stuff was well done, even though Anzu’s attraction to Kaoru was a little fast.
Loved their interactions at the festival and didn’t expect Karou to meet THAT person. Really well done.
This volume steps away from the tunnel a bit, and instead focuses on some serious character development. It's a good setup for the next volume, and I've grown really attached to all of these characters now.
It was a different day, spent in an atmosphere of celebration and friendship. Kaoru is going to be shocked twice in the same night, and for that he is going to be disturbed. But a conversation with Anzu will help him to recover quickly. At the end of the volume, some unexpected news.
