This was so cute to read, but it was also like when I was younger and spending all summer at the sea. Meeting wonderful people from all over Italy, in some cases having humongous crushes on them and then having to say goodbye to them after few weeks. Over and over. I felt like falling in love with the characters, saying goodbye to them, wishing I could stay with them for longer, then feeling guilty because I was meeting new people, forgetting about the first characters I met, cheating on them with the new ones and repeating it till the last short story.

Call me Casanova, but I loved all these women.

Love on Location has something for everyone, for any tastes and it’s wonderful to see how different authors can come together for a great cause. I love this! I love all women! Escaping from their present, looking for a new future, looking to take a break away from society, realizing work is not all in your life, finding the love of your life when you’re middle aged, discovering you are not as grumpy as you always thought and that you actually love sunshine, opening yourself to a stranger who knew all along who you were and so on!
Insta-lust, grumpy-sunshine, mistaken identity, second-chance, meet cute, Hollywood romance, you name it! Love on location has it all!

I’m still in love although with the Turtle Walk under the stars… and the scene in the darkness, so sensual… “all the good feels”.

Plus, the abs of a certain bartender were stuck on my mind for a long time…
I wanted more! More! Come on!

Tease, tease, tease.

I got a taste of all the writing styles. Thanks for that!

I love this anthology. Some of the authors are new to me, and I’m so happy this anthology has brought them to me

If you happen to be on vacation, this book is even more perfect, but if you live in the city and just read it after work, this will be an ideal getaway, either way, it will make you feel good ✈️☀️🏝

Love on Location was a smorgasbord of short story options. The connection between them all was some sort of traveling. Each short story was it's own unique piece. I am a fan of some authors and discovered some new authors with this anthology.

Highly recommend to get an idea of author's work. The short stories were each well polished and provided a taste of what the author's books are like. Love it.

This is the kind of book you're supposed to read when you're in a reading slump and you need something fast and short but different too.

Each story felt special and I got to enjoy more from multiple good authors

Love is everywhere

I really enjoyed all the stories in this anthology. It was the first time reading something by a couple of the authors for me. I will now see what else they have written. Thank you Lily Seabrooke for putting it together.

This is such a good anthology! While I didn’t love every story, I didn’t dislike any of them, and honestly that feels kinda rare with anthologies sometimes.

I loved that this was for a good cause, and I know it’s not available for too long of a time, so if you’re reading this before mid-august, I highly recommend picking up a copy!

After finishing each story, I gave each a rating and wrote a little review for them, so here those are:

1. Kingdom of Sunlight - Margaux Fox
3/5 - this was a cute story to start the anthology with. It moved quickly, and I liked the characters. I found that the majority of the story was quite slow and sexy, but then the epilogue became a bit cheesy, in my opinion.

2. Airport Connection - Johana Gavez
3.5/5 - such a sweet story! It felt really developed considering it’s short length, and the short period of time it took place over.

3. Out of the Blue - Rachel Lacey
4.5/5 - I really like Rachel Lacey’s writing. I also enjoy the grumpy / sunshine trope, and wish I saw it more in books! The two main characters were both great, and the story was both cute and romantic.

4. Sunshine, Lattes, and Words - Milena McKay
4.5/5 - this was great! I thought that it started a little slow for my personal preference, but it really picked up for me and I adored how the story developed and especially how it ended.

5. Enough - Jamey Moody
3/5 - I didn’t really care for this story. It was very sweet and romantic, and there wasn’t necessarily anything wrong with it, it just wasn’t really for me.

6. Campfire Cwtches - Jacqueline Ramdsen
2.5/5 - the ending to this story felt quite abrupt. I did like the characters, but the focus was more so on their past, and how they felt about that, as opposed to them being together in the present.

7. Off Menu, Off Script - Lily Seabrooke
5/5 - I love that this anthology ended with this story, it was my favourite. It was such a cute, easy read with lovely characters and I loved the family inclusion.

What A Special Collection!

This is such a sweet collection of Love and Travel! Beginning with the first rate writers that participated. Each writers shorts was absolutely sweet and special. The locations that each story featured was exciting and the stories that accompany the location was full of love. Each story pulled you in and had you begging for more. What a smart idea to put this collection together to benefit a worthy charity. All the stories could easily have been full novels, they were that good. The writers themselves are all best sellers and wonderful people. I hope this generates enough funds for this project to be done again.

Light and quick reads to benefit charity!

These stories are from some of the most talented authors out there today. Each has relatable characters all looking for love when you least expect it in various destinations. Some with a little steam or with a little humor, but all with a lot of love. Now it's our turn to support this worthwhile charity and enjoy their tales!

My only problem with short stories is that more often than not I get too attached to the characters and too soon they're gone. Not cool

Seriously they were so lovely, with a feel good fix I didn't know I needed but was so glad I got. And for a good cause, even better.

All the stories were fun. The characters were interesting. It was neat to see how different authors would incorporate the theme of being on location. I really like Rachel Lacey’s story. I like her style. She writes just the best tropes with a lot of feels. Milena McKay was good too. Her story isn’t as good as her full length books, but I still liked it. It’s kind of funny because she’s at a writer’s retreat and she name drops like crazy. It was sort of meta. Jamey Moody has a story about older women which is nice to see. The other stories are pretty good, too.

Wonderful stories

I loved every single one of these stories!! I fell in love with the characters. I loved the variety in the characters and how they fall for each other. Each story ending was also satisfying. A big plus is I love all of the authors and love their books. I highly recommend this book especially if you enjoy feel good love stories!

This collection of short stories from some of today’s best authors of sapphic fiction is a fun and romantic escape from the ordinary. Kingdom of Sunlight is a sparkling, poetic story of two souls fated to connect in a waterfall paradise. Airport Connection is a sweetly charming tale of two strangers surprised by romance in an inconvenient situation. Relatable and realistic characters swept into an opposites-attract romance make Out of the Blue an entertaining beach read. Sunshine, Lattes and Words is a witty and intelligent story of a coffee shop flirtation that brews into something steamier. The romance is exuberant and heartwarming as a woman discovers love and her true self in Enough. Campfire Cwatches is a quirky and delightful second chance romance. Off Menu, Off Script manages to be both hilarious and sexy in its portrayal of a young woman who quite literally stumbles across her biggest celebrity crush in an unlikely place.

These stories made the perfect bookish getaway for a quiet weekend!

Depending on how the rest of the reading year goes, this might be my least favorite of the year that’s how much I didn’t enjoy this anthology. The premise had me hooked! Sapphics, romance, vacation/travel, what more could a sapphic herself ask for? Out of all of the stories, I liked ONE of them, that was it. The rest felt too fetishized or just unfair with how long compared to the other stories were. Also, a lot of the characters were unbearable! While if you buy this book, it goes for queer rights around the world, I wouldn’t recommend this anthology.

Incredibly romantic anthology …

Love, love, love this anthology. The journeys of these characters were strong, relatable and so lovely. A totally feel good anthology. The women were strong, centered beings that found love in unlikely places. They stepped out of their comfort zones and jumped. They found love and all the joy that goes with it. Brava!!! I heartily and enthusiastically and unequivocally recommend this and any other works by all of these authors!!! Thank you Peace ❤️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

A great sapphic beach read for this summer to lay out and enjoy with a cold, fruity drink (or if you're stuck inside or somewhere less-than-tropical, get your vicarious vaycay fix). You get a little variety in these stories, from age gap to sunshine x grumpy to second chance. I love the (mostly) tropical locations that have me craving a virgin margarita. I think travel romance might be my new fav subgenre? Here's to more!

Don't Miss This Collection!

These stories are absolutely amazing, not a single dud in the book. I can't pick a favorite because they are all awesome. So different, such diverse settings, so well written, and the characters, wow, unforgettable.
Thank You so much everyone for writing these short stories that have stolen my heart. To all who love lesbian fiction that's positive and creative, don't miss this collection!

Lots of fun and enjoyment. A bit of angst amid pretty scenery. And steam.

Note to self: I originally started reading this in August as my “Bus Book” (i.e. the book I read while waiting for the bus.) This was NOT a good plan. Reading steamy scenes while sitting in on a bench in the center of town can be downright blush inducing! Nearly missed my bus!

Maybe I should limit my “Bus Book” to rereading familiar tales? Or non fiction? Or PDFs of repair manuals?

I picked this charity anthology up from KU a couple years ago when it came out… (no pun intended!) It’s including Rachel Lacey who I enjoy, but I’m not familiar with any of the others.

I liked Lacey’s contribution and the author after hers, but since I don’t tend to enjoy insta-love stories and novellas this short are generally about that… it didn’t really appeal to me too much. I would have rather liked a few longer episodes or waiting longer in the plots for the couple to connect.

For the most part, though, these were likeable enough. Solid 3-stars though 2 of them were 4-stars (Lacey’s and the next(.

I got it on KU but can’t get it to show on there anymore. I’m guessing it was a limited offer so I don’t think it’s on offer anywhere now?

Travel Romance

Like any anthology there are some stories that are better than others. My preference for the best “love on location” travel romances included Airport Connection, Out of the Blue, and Sunshine, Lattes, and Words. These three really rose above the others based on character connection, the travel aspect, and romance away from everyday life.
