This story is magnificent! What great storytelling and imagery in the words. The characters a mix of fictional and factual historical ideologies. The prophecy is the story, and if the Raven was the bearer of great victories the destiny won the war and lost the battle. I truly love authors who intertwine mythology, theology with histology.
I quite enjoyed Raven of Destiny. Celtic fiction in a historical setting...
The writing is fairly simple and straight-foward, and I found it to be an easy read.
Bran Mac Morgor comes across as a hot-head with little depth, but he is nicely balanced by his faithful, and more thoughtful, friend Fionn, as well as by other characters who counsel him through the story.
