I'm in serious trouble. When the sweet nurse, possessive boss, and hot doctor at the hospital helped me kill a man, I knew they'd have questions. What I didn't know was that the man we killed would be up and walking again.
This time with a serious need for revenge.
So, what's a girl to do? Be honest? Tell the three sexy guys that I might just have the ability to kill with a touch? Uh, I have a feeling that won't go over well.
But with more trouble coming our way, we need to work together, or else I might just learn what happens to people who piss off the undead.

Omg I finished this book so quick. Each page keeps you turning as it picks up from when book one ended. With Jules in her kitchen with Frederick, after her Ajax, Connor and Brad had just buried him.
From here the story picks up quickly and getting to read from the guys pov also gave this book alot more depth into the characters and how the guys feel for Jules. After many twists and turns we also get to see Frederick do something you won't expect. Plus some steamy moments between Jules and Ajax for any more on that you need to pick this book up. It's so worth it and after that ending I can't wait to read the next book.
This second book is a great addition to this series, Jules is just a Reaper trying to give as much as she takes BUT of course there are some issues with the uppity ups with this. They think she is messing with the balance but she is balancing it out. Right? You have people who don't want to stay dead, you have Gods (yup, more than one now) and vampire hunters who threaten the tranquility of life in this town and an Alpha who is threatened to be dethroned. Ooo and in between all this drama you have the sexy as sin neighbors who only want to help Jules, but she is making it tough when she holds back. I am getting a sneaky suspicion that this is going to bite her in the tush. OH and lets not forget the evil entity that threatens to take it all away. This book has it all and leaves you waiting for more.
Blimey the beginning of this book completely threw me and also shocked the hell out of me too. It was bloody good though
Jules' life as a nurse in this series becomes more complicated with more deaths and also a new problem. One that is much more trickier to work out. The guys - Ajax, Brad and Connor all brought different dimensions to this book as well as this series. There were more plot twists in this book. One of which being Fredrick who I'm still trying to work out? He's a conundrum that's for sure. Still this series just keeps getting better and I'm looking forward to the next book
Just wow. I am loving this book and series. Jules just wanted to save her son, and in doing so became something else. She uses her gifts to help people, even if she is not allowed to. Where she works are some men who are definitely more than they seem. Can she trust them with her secret?
OMG how can these books keep getting better, I love these characters they are amazing I love jules so much she's is a great FMC and her guys are just as good, u love that we get to discover more about jules and her powers and more about the guys in this book and finally uncover some of the secrets surrounding them all but as usual you get to end with more questions.
Jules and her men are back and they have even more enemies against them. Many forces are working against them and Jules learns new information that has her doubting everything. Lots of steam and plot twits in this book. Cant wait for the next one.
Wowzers things dont let up for Jules. The dead keep coming, Gods join the party and Jules does her best to mask her true abilities all amongst a greta storey with plenty of twists and turns along with a great amount of sizzle and steam.
This was another exciting installment that really took me on a thrilling reading ride. Fab characters, twists, mystery and steam made it a real page turner. We do get a better handle on knowing the guys and lots of questions answered, but there are so many more that popped up that I'm anxious for the next book ;)
This book leaves you with even more questions and angst. It gets a little steamier near the end, then it slaps you in the face with a dilemma. I guess I’ll just have to read on…
So what happens when the guy you killed gets back up again hellbent on revenge?? Well Jules is about to find out as things get worse! It’s exciting, it’s challenging and I just love the uniqueness of this world that the author has done a great job of building. The characters are great, the storyline so so addictive and I have to say I am intrigued by it all! Love it!
So many twists and turns, and steamy too! Great second book with a cliffhanger ending leaving you wanting so much more! I cant get enough of this series.
This is book two of the Their Reaper series and the main character is a new reaper Jules, who has been finding all of her good work being undone by fellow and more experienced reaper Frederick. She tried to kill him and had her neighbours, Ajax who is a god, Connor a rogue wolf shifter without a pack and Brad a vampire, help her to bury him. She thought she had killed him and she even chopped his head off before burying him, but he turns back up and makes it plain to her that reapers aren’t easy to kill! He knows that somehow she has been managing to heal some patients, in her job as an alternative healer in the local hospital where Brad and Connor also work, as well as her reaper boss, Drake. He has been going behind her to reap most of her patients she has healed, in his words, to ensure the balance is kept! She can’t tell any of her three guys what she actually is, but two of them have finally revealed what they are to her. Brad and Connor haven’t managed to get her in bed yet, only Ajax and that was with the other two watching them! Both are keen to have dates with her, but theta work at the hospital takes a lot of their time. Trouble has come to town, in one instance Brad gets pulled over by a ghost and told of an evil creature, they realise later is an Ankou, that has killed loads of them and they are unable to move on. In another, Ajax hears of a large group of hunters coming to town, which would put Brad in danger. Connor gets called to a supernatural ambulance admission of the local alpha wolf shifter, who has not healed after a battle for his position. Jules uses her ability to heal on the alpha, but finds out he has been poisoned by something supernatural that she has no idea where it came from. If the Ankou has tied itself to the hospital, it will keep killing people before their time and in horribly, painful ways! It is there to keep the balance between life and death, something Jules has been upsetting. No one knows why she can heal as well as kill. It is not something any other reaper seems able to do. But most have their past lives removed from their memories, whilst Jules kept the details of her past life with her and her humanity as well. She is still on probation as such and her lack of following orders has already been reported to the reaper council and she won’t like what they might do to her if she doesn’t follow the rules and fulfil her quota. If the alpha dies, then both Connor and a bitten wolf and nurse Aurora, will be in danger, as the next in line Riggs is an a***ole and would cast them out of the protection of the pack and send his men after them. This would break up the three men Ajax, Connor and Brad who have been best friends, lived and worked together for years. All three of the men are facing different challenges, as is Jules, with more trouble coming their way than they could ever have expected. They will have to work together to support each other and fight for what is right and for what they believe in! A dangerous time and it isn’t over yet, but a long shot. I can’t wait to see what they will get up to in the next book and what role Frederick may have, ally or foe? I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
Reaper Hospital: Code Hot Nurse, the second book in Lacey Carter Andersen’s Their Reaper series, was just as amazing as the first and yet another thrilling ride and a unique take of a RH supernatural story!
This story picks up right where the first one left us with a doozy of a cliffhanger and drops you right back into the dilemma that Jules, a reaper with a conscious, is having to deal with Fredrick—the reaper she thought she ended in the first book. Needless to say, he’s back and that puts Jules and her men in a very sticky situation….with tons of secrets between them just waiting to be spilled. This story had so many caveats to it, you never know where it’s going to take you and the chemistry between Jules and her men? Pure 🔥!
With some many mysteries, secrets and questions abound, it’s a race to see who can come out ahead. However in true Lacey fashion, for every answer that brings us one step closer to the answers we so desperately seek, we get even more questions and issues that pop up taking us even further down an intriguing road of one mystery after another. But surely with a possessive god, a sexy shifter and sweet and loving vampire by her side she can take on all the supernatural issues that come her way…or die trying.
Overall i absolutely adore this series and how beautifully Lacey creates a unique supernatural world, amazing diverse characters as well as how she teasingly unfolds her secret filled plot. I’m super excited to see where the story is going and to see how everything is going to play out for our characters. Can Jules continue to save those she cares for or is Fredrick right and all she’s doing is delaying the inevitable? Will her secrets tear them apart or will they be able to survive anything? Grab it for yourself to find out now!
I honestly can not say too much about this book for fear of spoilers! But what I can say is HOLY COW!!!
This book picks up right after the last book and you are thrown right into the action! There are so many secrets piling up between Jules and her men that it’s starting to become unclear who knows what. Not only that but it's becoming more difficult for Jules to maintain any appearance of being normal. The men have let down their walls a bit and have told her what they are and a little of their stories so it will only be a matter of time till she has to do the same, though she fears that day for their lives are the ones at stake and maybe their perception of her. To top all that off, the gods have descended onto Earth and an Ankou is running amuck in the hospital...Can anything go right for this group?
So far I am loving this series, the characters are brilliant and the banter in the books is top-notch. There are quite a few more developments with the boys and Jules that will have you curling your toes in happiness. The story reads so smoothly and flows so well that you do get lost in it and can easily lose track of time. There has been serious thought put into the plot, the characters, and the legends of most of the beings in the book. You can clearly tell that the author did her work and thoroughly enjoys what she does.
I would recommend this book/series to all PNR RH fans that love gods, shifters, and vampires. A fantastic read!
Reaper Hospital: Code Hot Nurse continues where book one left off. Jules thought that she had gotten rid of her "little problem" but at the end of book one, he was back and less than pleased with her attempt at getting rid of him. Looks like problems are about to start piling up if Jules doesn't figure out how to handle this situation with Fred, because he's not going away. Or backing down. Reaper Hospital is good, but flawed. I love this series so far, but I want more drama. I don't want things to go so perfectly for characters. If there's a fight, I want there to be drama. Something to pull me to the edge of my seat and make me page-turn. The fights were a bit predictable i.e. the guys (Jules's guys) had an edge. Things go from - "no one would attempt going up against this creature on their own" to "let's take it on". Which typically hints at "things are about to go their way." Add in the, "I'll keep my secrets, but you should tell me yours" that gets really old. Jules wants the guys to spill, but doesn't be honest. I need honesty across the board, or everyone keeps their secrets, because let's be real...Jules is the one leading them into more danger by association than the other way around. There are some good elements to this book which help move it along, but I really would like some more dark twists that just really drive you crazy. LOL! Overall, this book is good and earns it's 4 out of 5 stars.
I must say I don't think I've ever read a FMC quite like this one. In this book we get to see even more of Jules and her thought process which I find completely fascinating. She's likes this weird blend of a hot 20 something year old and a mom/husband 40 something year old. It definitely makes for an interesting read and I myself even have trouble trying to combine to 2 "personalities" of Jules so I can't even imagine how Jules' feels (which I think was the author's intention). The one thing I will say that constantly kinda irritates me is how little Jules knows about her new world. For me personally, if I became a part of a new world I didn't even know existed I feel like I would wanna know everything I could possibly could about it. Now, don't get me wrong I think Jules' men are just wow and i'm secretly hoping that a certain someone joins her harem but for me Jules is a one of a kind FMC and she's completely captivated me.
I wholeheartedly can't wait to see what book 3 can bring!
What a fantastic read and a great addition to the series. Book 2 picks up right after the the previous one and throws you right into the thick of things. With every answer we learnt that seems to come only with more questions there's so much going on in this book and I so badly wanna talk about it but I don't want to give out spoilers. But it's obvious with all the secrets piling up between Jules and her guys the hospital is becoming more difficult to maintain. The supernatural problems aren't going away they rather seem to be piling up. It's just making more excited to see how everything going to play out. Book 3 can't get here fast enough I'm looking forward to finding out more about Jules, her powers and what else is going on in the hospital. As always my reviews are totally voluntarily and no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are completely my own.
I've really enjoyed this series since it's different than other RHs... not only is she a reaper that is in love with a vampire, a wolf shifter, and a God, but she isn't allowed to tell them about her "work".
This book starts off where the first one ended... Frederick comes back from the dead and tells Jules that Reapers can't die traditionally. But now there are more problems that are popping up. There is another malevolent force killing people at the hospital, the Alpha shifter that is keeping Connor alive is in the hospital with a mysterious illness that is killing him, but several of Ajax's siblings have come to earth to wreck havoc.
Jules and the guys have so many different things to do to make sure that everything doesn't fall apart... but how long before they find out her secret??
I do read reverse harem even if it isn’t in my top five favorite genres when I get struck by an author. This author struck me, and this series is so much more than RH. Jules is an intriguing character with a big secret she can’t tell her men, and there is so much more going on than she realizes. At the end of this, we learn even more about that. There are a couple of storylines going on at once making this book full of intrigue as well as romance, and I’m intrigued to find out what’s going to happen next. I almost gave this book four stars as I can’t stand it when just sharing information will make everything better, and the characters keep their secrets. But this was an excellent, well-written book, and I can’t wait to read more in the series. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
Wow! This story and series is absolutely stunning. It has so much drama, suspense, mystery, and action throughout it. The story keeps you glued to it as you have to find out what is going to happen next. Jules and the guys have this chemistry that is off the charts. It doesn’t matter if they are just having a conversation or they are doing more you can just feel it throughout the story. There are moments that make you laugh and moments you can feel their pain. It is stunningly written and developed. I love How well this story is proceeding. It has me wanting more and more. The secrets and mysteries that surrounds Jules and the guys just add so much to the story. It is an absolute must read and doesn’t disappoint.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Honestly the first book was just ok to me. I didn’t feel really attached to the characters or storyline. This second book was even worse for me. Not that the writing is bad or the characters, I just felt kind of bored with it. I mean I only had 40 min left in the book and I went to bed instead of finishing it. That says a lot! I guess I didn’t really understand her keeping this huge secret from these guys. A guy whose a freaking God, who her boss says she cannot kill. And yet she doesn’t tell him bc if she tells anyone they will be killed? They tell her their big secrets and she just holds on to hers and screws then when she needs to. Yep needs to bc reaping forces her to be horny and she has to have sex. Didn’t really love that either. Felt like she was totally using Ajax just for sex and comfort yet giving him nothing.
This is book 2 of the series and things are not getting any easier for Jules or any of the guys. This book starts straight from where book 1 left off, and Frederick is not happy! Jules finds out what the guys are, but manages to keep her own secrets for now, although I have a feeling it won't be for much longer. They all become closer and let her know how much she means to them. Jules is still finding out more about what she is and what she can do with her powers, and she also finds an unlikely ally. This story is really intriguing, there are lots of things going on and quite a bit of supernatural politics at play between all the different species. Looking forward to book 3 to find out more about Jules, her powers and what else may be happening in the hospi
The supernatural problems don't go away - they rather seem to pile up. The dead won't stay dead, secrets about the characters are surfacing, and Jules might not have enough energy to change the course of the fate. Gods and supernaturals take sides in these conflicts, with Jules and her men in the center of the chaos. There is lot of steam and getting together between Jules, Ajax, Connor, and Brad, and also Frederick seems to play a more vital role in the events here. Mystery however remains and questions won't be fully answered until the end - and maybe even then there is enough left uncovered to hook the reader up for the next book.
With every answer we learn seems to come only more questions. There is so much going on in this book that I so badly want to talk about but don't dare because I know all of it would ruin the surprise for the readers to come after me. I love that, along with Jules, we're learning more about the supernatural world she now exists in. However, I still have more questions than answers. I have no idea what the author is setting up for Jules and her men, but that ending has left me desperate to find out what it is. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
Interesting developments 💀 This one picks up right after the last book and throws you right into the thick of things! With secrets piling up between Jules and the men at the hospital it’s becoming more and more difficult to maintain there appearance of being human… Things start to unravel even more when the Gods descend and an Anjou stalks the hospital! The men let down their defences but Jules dare not let them know for fear of their lives as well as their perception of what she is 🙈 Interesting to see how this will unravel in this next book…
This story seemed to have more problems than solutions for poor Jules. Her relationship with the three men in her life evolves, but there are so many other forces at play here, and with Jules determined to do what she believes is right, I just don't know it'll all play out.
This series is an intriguing one, as is the character of Jules. She struggles with the task she's been appointed, and pushes back in her own way, and I don't blame her!
I can't wait to see how all these issues are resolved.
Book 2 in the serious is finally here, buzzing to get started!. Lacey you have done it again. Another amazing book from a fantastic author. There is a lot I really want to say about this book but don’t want to add in any spoilers. Jules finally knows the truth about Connor and Brad but doesn’t yet know about Ajax, and as much as she tries to avoid them she just can’t especially when she has her reaper high. As book 2 progressed it was filled with even more mystery than book 1, which has definitely kept me hooked.
Jules, a recently turned reaper, is stunned when with the resurrection of the reaper that she pretty much obliterated at the end of Code Hot Boss while also being conflicted about her feelings for Ajax, Brad, and Connor, three men who work at the same hospital. As the story progresses an uneasy truce is reached, some of the walls they erected are breached, and when the dominoes start to fall bouncing back may not be as easy as they thought. Lacey Carter Andersen’s Reaper Hospital: Code Hot Nurse is a thrilling reverse harem romance read. The situations get dicey while the heat starts to ramp up in this one. I can only imagine how explosive their story will be when it ends.
The second book in the series and boy is it getting intense. Jules is the star of the series. She is a reaper but also is able to heal. But the reaper council doesn’t like when she doesn’t follow the rules. They will send others to correct her mistakes and death will follow. Then there is the hot boss who happens to be a god, a shifter doctor and a vampire doctor that all have an intense interest in Jules. The story brings even more danger to the group as death seems to be everywhere. The romance is building as Jules and the men start heating things up.
Jules and her men are back with more enemies and more steam than before.
3.5 stars This book picks up right after book one, and we are thrown right back in to all of the action. Jule's men are beginning to open up more and the groups connection is getting stronger with each book.
The steam was decent, nothing that wowed me or that deviated from the norm of reverse harems. The plot was fun, but trailed off in excitement as the story progressed. It started off strong and ended strong, but everything in between was less than riveting.
