Dark Memories Emerge KU 325 pgs **** 10/16/21 Geraldine & Shai
4 stars. Geraldine and Shai’s story is quite boring to me, I just can’t get into their relationship like the others, they are together but not sure if they have are are bonding or not. The only interesting part with them is trying to figure out why her memory is so bad and that was fascinating! I was glued to the last half of the book when Annani stepped in. But of course, the book ended before I could find out more and left me wishing I had waited to read this book until the next one was already out! Kian’s search for the Kra-ell continued and problems arose with the government dormant program. Ronja started thinking about transitioning after Annani made the suggestion, of course not mentioning that she would give her “a blessing” to pull her through. Roni’s clan family finally got to meet his parents. His father was a cold man and the group instantly felt something was off with him. Eleanor was asked by Kian to consider going back to the Government Dormant Program as the Director. Lots of discussion went on about this venture and her main concern was that Emmett would gain the women in the village’s charms and she would lose him since they haven’t bonded yet. It was a little exciting when Jin, Mey and others went to the old place, the last known Kra-ell place that Emmett remembered, now a fancy school, to see if Jin could read anything from the old walls that hadn’t been destroyed
