I watched the anime first. It drew me to this manga set and now I am going to be stuck binging the rest because of how stoked I was reading this hyped up thriller.

Take the core of Detective Conan, put in a bit Ghost Whisperer and you get Psychic Detective Yakumo.



It starts with first year student Haruka going to Yakumo, who is supposed to have speshul abilities. Haruka´s friend Miki is in a weird condition after visiting a "haunted" building on the university campus..
Yakumo then agrees to research the core of Miki´s problems in exchange for money...
And off goes the party to look into the situation more deeply. In the following the reader will encounter lough-out-loud moments, creepy places and smart-ass-comments made mostly by Yakumo.

I greatly enjoyed this Manga. It is full of great Characters with depth, a big deal of mystery and a good developed plot.

If you´re a fan of Meitantei Conan and also enjoyed Darker Than Black, you should give "Shinrei Tantei Yakumo" a try.

untung komik ini di re-STO sama M&C! ahirnya gw kebagian juga. Ceritanya Yakumo ini matanya yang sebelah kiri berwarna merah dan bisa melihat arwah dengan mata itu. Awalnya ketemu Haruka karena cewe ini minta tolong sama Yakumo yang udah terkenal bisa nyelesein masalah apa pun (katanya). Kebetulan juga masalah Haruka juga berhubungan dengan arwah.

Gambarnya bagus, meskipun hantunya gak gitu serem kayak di komik Junji Ito :p, pembunuhannya juga gak sesadis Kindaichi.

Tadinya ga pernah ngeh kalau ni komik eksis, sampai suatu hari seorang teman ujug2 mengangsurkan kmk ini ke tangan saya sbg salah satu otaku di kantor. Katanya ini kmk saya. Jujurnya, bukan. Tp krn penasaran dg isinya, akhirnya saya baca dulu #plak Dan saya lgs jatuh cinta dengan Yakumo secara keseluruhan. Yg blm baca... bacalah! #gaje

Reread. Enjoyed this, but not as much as I thought I would. However, I don't think it's the manga's fault, but rather that I'm still on a high from reading Ghost Hunt, so despite the fact that it IS good, while I read this i kept thinking about how good Ghost Hunt was.

Yeah...I wanted to try it after the anime and the manga (the recent version). It's good, but I still prefer the new version (maybe because I'm more used to the "new" version than this one...)
