Por otro lado, Tanjiro se recupera de la batalla en el distrito rojo y se dirige a la aldea de los forjadores de espadas nichirin para que reparen la suya. "Yes! Train with this, Tanjiro! And get stronger than that emotionless jerk! I will help you with all my strength!" [Kotetsu]

Muzan is getting more and more frustrated with his demon minions and Tanjiro, after facing one of the Upper Ranks, gets an opportunity to have a special training in the Swordsmiths Village. Unfortunately, everything gets interrupted by a sudden demon attack.

"I won't give the key to anyone! Even if they torture me! Never! It'll break next time!"
"Have you been trained to withstand torture? Even most adults can't endure it, so it's impossible that you could. You appear to be exceedingly dumb brat. So what if it does break? Why not make it again? While you're rattling on and on and on and on with your nonsense, do you know how many people will die?"

What's up with he Hashiras (except for Mitsuri) being unlikeable the moment we meet them? I am not sure if it's a strange or a brilliant decision coming from the author. Usually the strongest people on the good side are the embodiments of true heroism. They are people we're not only naturally root for, they are also people we look up to. When it comes to the Hashiras though, at first glance, they seem more like enemies than allies. Both Giyuu and Shinobu tried to kill Nezuko the moment we first met them, Sanemi tried to challenge her and succeeded in hurting her, Tengen tried to kidnap the residents of the Butterfly Mansion for his personal mission, Obanai heavily insulted Tengen and Muichiro attacked a child and broke his family's mechanical doll for no actual reason (he trained with it a little and left, wtf). I love Guyuu, Shinobu, Sanemi and Tengen, but I never felt any bond with either Obanai nor Muichiro, so I'm not looking forward to seeing more of them in the future.

I don't have much more to say about this volume. How Tanjiro is now able to know his opponents next moves through smell is truly beyond me. I mean, I'm happy that he gets stronger and I understand that he needed an upgrade, otherwise we would have had a very hard time fighting another enemy, but why is the author not creating more believable powers? Also what was up with the inherited memory thing? How is it possible that Tanjiro saw something that happened 300 years ago? I love you, Demon Slayer, but c'mon.

Anyways, the best thing in this volume must be the interactions between Tanjiro and Genya and Mitsuri and Nezuko. It was so cute to see Genya all flustered because of Mitsuri and Tanjiro, and I love Nezuko's awe of Mitsuri. These were such small scenes, barely important, but meant everything for me. Also, points for Tanjro for realizing that Sanemi and Genya are related! ;)

The Swordsmith Village is attacked by demons, our heroes must stand up and protect it. I mean, nobody's a fighter there except for Tanjiro, Genya and the Hashiras, so these four are the only ones that we can count on now. Also, we got injured so badly during the fight against the demon siblings, how are we in any shape to fight another Upper Rank demon? Will we survive this battle? We will see in the next volume! ☺️

TW// murder, mention of parental death

This volume is one of the least action packed ones in the series since it was mainly just training, but it was still really enjoyable. I loved getting to see more of Muichiro and Genya. They’re both really interesting characters and I’m looking forward to seeing their backstories.

I found Nezuko’s interactions with the Hashira in this volume to be really sweet.

I also appreciated how this volume had a filler comic that explained why Mitsuri dresses the way that she does. I’ve always found her outfit to be one of the most annoying parts of the series for me because it honestly makes no sense for a demon slayer to be dressed like that while fighting.

Overall a great volume and I can’t wait to read the next volume soon.

This was a great volume and deals with the gathering of the Upper Moon 6 and Muzan has plans for them and somewhere else Tanjiro recovers and goes to the Swordsmith's village in order to get his sword from Haganezuka and its amazing to see that and all his training with Kotetsu and him gaining new swords and allies and learning something about his lineage and meeting Tokito but then again peace doesn't last as he has to face the upper demons now.

Great volume and continues doing the character work and focuse son training and recovery periods and shows different sides of Hashiras and how they connect to Tanjiro. I am loving how the author is able to make new challenges for these DSC and fleshes them out and their design is so good and especially the power sets are unique.

After the last of couple of volumes involving heavy actions and emotional trainwrecks, we finally get some rest. We get to see Tanjiro and the team recovering, learning and developing as well as the different Hashiras. The art seems to have significantly improved than the early volumes.

As of this writing, I’m now beyond the anime and it’s all so fresh and new to me.

Two months to heal up after the pleasure district. Wow. And I LOVE where Tanjiro is headed next. I always wanted to know more about the swordsmiths. :)

Of course, the end of this volume is a real cliffhanger. I’m having a lot of fun.

After the epicness of the last 3 volumes we slow it down here.

We get to see our hero learn some new moves and work with the swordmasters. It was actually pretty great to see their side of things more and learn about them. We also get the villains finally about to strike back and it's not looking to good. The book ends on a mega cliffhanger and sets up volume 14 to be fucking fantastic.

Also the faces in this are perfect.

Not as good as the last 3 volumes but still great.

My original review still stands, pretty much sums up my thoughts. A solid set up chapter. Extra poins for showing side boobies and booty.

My son has been into this for a couple months now, and I started picking up his manga to read them. This is the first time it occurred to me to enter it on GR.

It's funny to me that he's like, "Oh, there are so many awesome fights!" whereas I'm more into the dynamic between Tanjiro and Nezuko, the impossibility of what he's trying to do, and the ever-increasing odds set against him. Some of their allies seem just as bad as the enemies, as if they're stacking the deck against themselves. I find all that to be compelling.

I'll probably keep poking through his manga collection.

After the finale of entertainment district arc. For sure this volume feels a bit off. It's a good starts for the next arc really, but just after THAT is just good.

Here we get to see the rest of the uppers rank demon. We get to know a bit more about Mitsuri and Tokito, I'm so interested in both of them so, it was interesting.

This hidden village is so fascinating, I can't wait to read more!

We get introduced to the Upper 6 Demons. Boy oh boy are these exciting times! I am looking forward to learning more about the relationship between Akaza and Doma. I also have SO many questions about Kokushibo. I loved the infinity castle. That thing breaks my mind.
Inosuke kills me with his behavior around Tanjiro walking up from his coma. It was very surprising to see Kanao speak up. (I am totally on the ship for Tanjiro and Kanao.:)

THE SWORDSMITH VILLAGE ARC BEGINS!!!!
(The following is in a very random order, my apologies.)
- Bless our beautiful main protagonist. He is precious. I wish I had the kindness he has.
- We get introduced to the Love Hashira and the Mist Hashira. Both are interesting characters and I am intrigued about their backstories.
- I wish I had the determination that Haganezuka has to get those gains. Sheesh, my dude!
- Kotetsu training Tanjiro was great as well as terrifying. I hope I never have a coach like Kotetsu. RIP to the sword that came out of the training doll at the end. I hope it gets restored well.
- Yes Genya is always angry because he is hungry. This is why Genya and I vibe with him, haha.
- I LOVE Nezuko and always will. No matter the situation she is just perfect and amazing.

Fingers crossed the next volume goes well for Genya, Tanjiro, Nezuko, and Tokito!

4/5 Stars (%77/100)

Pretty good volume in general. The first two chapters of this book are the ending of the Entertainment District Arc. In these chapters, we see more of Muzan and also the Upper Moons together after many years. Upper Moon 1 (Kokushibo), 4 (Hantengu), and 5 (Gyokko) are introduced. It is strange that Kokushibo looks like the mysterious swordsman from Tanjiro's vision. This volume is also the start of the Swordsmith Village Arc. Here in the village, we meet more characters such as Mitsuri the Love Hashira and Tokito the Mist Hashira. Perhaps the most interesting about this volume is the machine doll called Yoriichi Type Zero and this is the man from Tanjiro's visions, who also looks a lot like him. Overall, it was a good volume but since it's the beginning of a new arc, the pace is a bit slow but I don't mind it a lot because we meet many new characters both human and demon.
