I'm a little late to the release party on this book but I am still super happy to say I picked up a holiday read in time for the holidays. Seriously, it's like a curse for me. I always get them in July or August.

So, Christmas treats! This is an anthology/collection of Christmas tales from many authors. I came for Melissa Williams (one of my recent fave romantic comedy writers, like OMG) but I stayed for all the wonderful treats packed in this story (enjoy the pun, folks).

1. The Gingerbread Showdown by Piper Rayne
I read this story as I just put on gingerbread scented hand cream, isn't it ironic? To start off, A GINGERBREAD RECIPE YES. Then, this super, duper cute fall hard and fast kind of love story? I'm digging it. The writing is also super easy and flows nicely. I might have to pick up some more books by Piper Rayne soon! 4 out of 5 stars!

2. Sweet Girl by M.C. Cerny
What an adorably funny story with an even better synopsis (die from her cooking... geez, I was smirking and giggling). This story had me feeling like there was maybe a story out there already with more information on the couple though. Regardless, it was very nice! 3 out of 5 stars.

3. 'Tis The Season to be Jelly by Kyra Fox
Okay, the title alone is fabulous. I found this one to be more romantic and whimsical to me, for unknown reasons. I just really vibed with Kyra's writing and found myself drifting away into the story. I really loved Eloise and Declan, and I think Kyra might just be another author I'm going to have to check out. 4 out of 5 stars.

4. Baker's Dozen by Kali Brixton
Another hidden gem! Scott and Nova are a romantic couple with some dust under the rug or skeletons in the closet. These two are so sweet for each other and will warm your heart with how much they care. 4 out of 5 stars.

5. Deck... the Balls by DL Gallie
What is it with these amusing names? I'm really enjoying the giggles I can have out of the titles. Also, a synopsis designed like a recipe? Even cooler! Add in all the comedy in this love story, yep. I love it! Jesse and Reese deserve their own series. 4 out of 5 stars!

6. Muchas Smoochas by Halo Roberts
Are you looking for a second chance romance? GET READY TO RUMBLE with Muchas Smoochas. You can tell Enrique and Freya are meant to be. The writing style alone will make you sigh happily and enjoy the ride. This is just what I was needing! 5 out of 5 stars.

7. Nog or Never by Melissa Williams
This is what I came to the anthology collection for. I love me some Melissa Williams and I was totally pumped to grab this story! Of course it's at the end because I really want to read it. That's how anthologies go! Best friend's little sister trope? I AM IN. I AM SOLD. LETS GO.

So my highlights of this story: Icing bags as dicks, continuation of Bake Rattle and Roll, good ole Canadian setting, brother's best friend trope (yessssss), reuniting with an old flame (yesssss), Belinda and Luke being adorable together, and a sugary sweet ending. What more can a girl ask for? 5 out of 5 stars!

Other notes:

I still find it super cool when I get an electronic copy and it has links I can click to go right to a story. I'm not sure if every copy is like this, but mine was super cool! I'm like a child on Christmas clicking and getting sent right to the story I want! It's a goofy thing to be excited about, but hey. It counts.

And all the recipes! Yesssss!

So, I came for Melissa and I left with so many adorable stories and amazing recipes. I have to say, this is one fantastic book. Give it a read if you're still seeking some Christmas and Holiday Spirit!

Four out of five stars!

I received a free copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

The Gingerbread Showdown by Piper Rayne 5⭐️
Although I’m not one for insta-love I quickly fell for Trent and Sophie. They had instant chemistry and fun banter but I felt like there was more there. They had a connection, they understood each other and what they wanted/needed. I will definitely be checking out more of Piper Rayne’s books!

Sweet Girl by M.C Cerny 3 1/2⭐️
While I found Evan and Remi a sweet couple I felt like I was missing some important parts of their story. Evan was very protective of Remi and I was curious about why. I did think her desire to be able to cook and take care of her family endearing and Evan’s caveman tendencies was quite swoon worthy.

‘Tis The Season To Be Jelly by Kyra Fox 4⭐️
Declan and Eloise were a perfect match for one another. They were both intelligent, work oriented and had strong personalities. Their work relationship, turned friendship was sweet journey. There was just enough chemistry, flirting and banter for me to want them to take that dive into something more and see what they could have together.

Baker’s Dozen by Kali Brixton 5⭐️
Omg this was such a sweet book! Although both Scott and Nova have been dealt a rough hand in the past it seems that the two of them just might be what each other needs to heal and move forward. With crazy Miss Millie, meddling Aunt Vera Kay and the Baker crew there was never a dull moment. Sigh, talk about a heart melting story, I don’t want to give them all up!

Deck...the Balls by DL Gallie 4⭐️
The puns in this story gave me life! They are were beyond cheesy which made them even better. Add in the chemistry and love/hate vibes between Jesse and Reese and you have the perfect ingredients for an amazing enemies to lovers story.

Muchas Smoochas by Halo Roberts 5⭐️
What can I say, I always fall for Halo’s characters and Enrique and Freya were no exception. While their reunion was quite the whirlwind affair it was full of heartfelt memories, hard truths about the past/present, sweetness and some steaminess too. I loved every word but definitely wouldn’t be sad if I got more of Ricky and Freya in the future!

Nog or Never by Melissa Williams 5⭐️
Y’all, I found a new author to stalk...I mean follow lol. This book was so funny and sweet and steamy. It was just everything you want and then some. Siblings best friend, second chance, all the puns, just so much goodness! Luke and Belinda were an awesome match, their understanding of one another gave the story an angsty touch but also upped the sweetness factor. I easily got attached to this entire family and didn’t want to see them go. I will definitely be reading more!

Wonderful first holiday read of this year!! I can’t express how much I enjoyed Christmas Treats, including all the recipes to try this season, these are great quick reads. I was already familiar with a couple of the authors included in this anthology and highly enjoyed discovering new-to-me authors that I can add to my to be read list.

This is a great selection of story’s around Christmas.
It’s a perfect way to get to know more writers who are creating an escape from the real world into love, banter, make-up, steam and HEA’s.

Every story starts with a recipe of Christmas sweets - love it.

A very cute and fun collection of Christmas Romances.

The Gingerbread Showdown by Piper Rayne:
Sophie is having a bad day by not getting the job she wants to report on, so she sees this hot surfer dude that she thinks is a bum and takes him home. They have a night of amazing steamy moments but the next day it’s over and done, both move on. Sophie automatically assumes because of Trent’s looks and laidback attitude that he does nothing all day and has no responsibilities, yet the next day on the job she is shocked by what she finds out. She thinks she doesn’t do relationships but she is just jaded because of her parents divorce. Can her and Trent make things work or are they too different for anything to happen further between them?

Sweet Girl by MC Cerny:
Remi is a disaster in the kitchen and the only person who is worse than her is her friend Winnie. Remi’s husband adores her but would love to not die by food poisoning so he and his friend Chase decide to enroll their girls into a cooking class to help them out little do they know it will also be a disaster. Evan finds out their cooking instructor is a hot guy that gets a little too handsy, so he enrolls to “support his wife” but he loses his cool and gets them both kicked out. Can they save Remi’s cooking nonskills or will takeout be an everyday occurrence in their home? A very cute read with all the characters from the love by design series.

Tis The Season To Be Jelly by Kyra Fox
Such a cute story of a office place romance. Eloise has had a crush on Declan since the first time she set her eyes on him and when she finally gets the courage to ask him out he becomes head of a major project and she is now working under him so any chances the have for anything is out the door. Declan knows his boundaries and takes them seriously but the more time he works close with Eloise he gets to know the real her and is falling so hard for her. They fight their attraction for so long until it implodes. Can they make things workout in their favor or is the office romance doomed to fail? This was cute and fun to read.

Baker’s Dozen by Kyra Fox:
Nova is leaving her old life behind and going to start over little does she know she is going to end up falling in love with a sweet family and the town. Scott is a single father that owns and operates his bakery, and he hires Nova because her aunt sings her praises, and her aunt helps him so much with his kids. Scott is an amazing man that is raising his kids, providing for them, and loves them deeply. Nova instantly falls in love with his kids and they all love her right back but can Scott and Nova let go of past hurts to move forward or will they let this attraction go because they are both scared? Super sweet kids, side characters, and Scott was amazing!!

Muchas Smoochas by Halo Roberts:
Freya is going through a tough time and doesn’t think love is in the cards for her anymore. She owns a bridal boutique, but her own marriage was destroyed a few months ago by her cheating ex. She is getting a new neighbor beside her business; a brewery and the owner happens to be someone from her past. Enrique is back to a place he never thought he would be back and the first thing that happens is he runs into the girl who stole his heart many years ago. Freya is sad about her marriage but is even more upset by the boy that broke her heart years ago so now she is having to cope with all of this at once. Can she forgive Ricky for breaking her heart in the past and learn to move forward after the sadness from her ex goes away? Or will she find it hard to forgive even Ricky and let him slip by again? A very cute read about second chances and learning to love again.

Nog and Never by Melissa Williams:
Belinda is teaching a cooking class and the night is a disaster but even with the class being a mess she is stuck in a snow storm with only one person there to pick her up, the guy she doesn’t want around. Her brother’s best friend, the guy who broke her heart, is back in town. She isn’t sure how she feels about him being back in her life and they way he just walked away after she confessed her feelings shattered her heart. Luke works for a security team and a year ago he made the biggest mistake of his life but letting the one girl he wants go because of a secret case, now he is back looking to win Bee back but he will have his work cutout for him.

This is a collection of Christmas themed rom-coms all accompanied by a recipe that somehow relates to the story. Fun, sweet and to the point.

Gingerbread Showdown by Piper Rayne -
It's always good to visit with old friends and that's how we start Sophie's story.
When a one-night stand turns into a very real threat to a job already on the line or the possibility of a long term relationship, what will be Sophie's choice? (pun intended)
As usual Piper Rayne brings sass, fun and feelings into a short story about a girl with trust issues and a guy who just wants to be seen for the person he is.

Sweet Girl by MC Cerny -
Cute story, dragged a bit IMO, but intrigued me enough to TBR their book.

'Tis the Season to be Jelly by Kyra Fox -
Declan Moretti and Eloise Bloom have to work in a team for a career altering project and their biggest challenge is to keep it professional. Fun, witty and sexy.

Baker's Dozen by Kali Brixton -
This turned out to be my favorite story. Scott Baker is a widower with a lot to handle at hand when Nova Whitmore arrives in town and stars working for him. As sweet as the biscotti he makes, this story is sure to fill one's heart.

Deck... the Balls by DL Gallie -
Jesse Thornton and Reese Turner have an ongoing rivalry in a lot of aspects until they decide to give into the real feelings each has been harboring since their school days. With a lot of shenanigans, baking and stolen kisses this is a cute enemies to lovers' story.

Muchas Smoochas by Halo Roberts -
Bridal shop owner Freya gets a christmas surprise when she discovers her old flame is getting ready to set shop in the building next door. Intensely cute and sexy second chance romance.

Nog or Never by Melissa Williams -
Luke and Belinda are childhood friends. He went away after she confessed loving him now he's back after a year and ready to beg forgiveness and start anew. Light, fun and cute, but a little rushed for my taste.

Oh my Christmas magic! This season is always filled with miracles and this collection of novellas shows us some more. I devoured all of them and found some new authors to me to follow. In here is every trope you love from Insta love to brothers best friend to enimies to lovers to best friends to more, its in here and more. Piper Rayne brings us back to the west coast with their classic funny take on a one night stand. Assumptions will prove what the word really stands for. Melissa Williams shows what love worth waiting for can be. M.C. Cerny shows a couple already commited can still use some holiday magic and a lot of help in the kitchen. And theres so much more! Grab this one, curl up with some eggnog but try not to drink whule reading for fear of snorting it out. I laughed out loud through lots of this book but also swooned, had my heart race and smiled at some pretty awesome HEAs.

A nice little anthology set around the holidays. Each of the seven authors starts their novella with a holiday themed recipe and a short love story set around the holidays. I was only familiar with Piper Rayne, and her novella was part of her Hollywood Hearts series with a new couple. The other authors’ books appear to be either a bonus novella to an existing series, a stand-alone novella or part of an existing series. All were enjoyable and easy to read. I will definitely be adding several of the authors on my to be read lists. I may even be trying some of the recipes for my Christmas cookie exchange. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher for my honest review.

So we get some great holiday stories along with recipes for treats? Count me in! From a couple with a serious oven problem (so glad Remi wasn’t the disaster she could’ve been) to coworkers trying their best to behave, this anthology likely has something for everyone! I already knew that I enjoyed Piper Rayne and Kyra Fox, but I found myself also really enjoying MC Cerney’s couple and Kali Brixton’s family full of chaos and dirty Millie’s words. I found that this was a great bunch of reads to bring a little less bah humbug to the holiday season, which is so much needed this year!

A really great holiday anthology. Each story starts with a holiday recipe and a great holiday themed love story. All were enjoyable stories and I recommend to anyone who loves a holiday story.

The Gingerbread Showdown by Piper Rayne:

Piper Rayne’s story follows Sophie and Trent and their one night stand. Sophie is having a bad day and sees what she thinks is a sexy surfer bum and takes him home. Sophie soon learns looks can be deceiving. With laughs, complications, and attraction, this story is sure to put a smile on your face.

Who doesn’t love Holiday RomComs!? This collection of stories really has something for everyone and is full of laughs, love, holiday recipes and family.

I’ll go a little more in depth for three of stories featured in this collection, but they are all amazing stories.

Gingerbread Showdown by Piper Rayne

If you’ve read any of the books in the Hollywood Hearts series by Piper Rayne, you’ll recognize a few of the characters mentioned. I absolutely loved Sophie and Trent’s story. They had instant chemistry and their story is just a sweet one. You never expect to see your one-night stand again, however, that wasn’t the case for Sophie and things quickly progress from there. I couldn’t get enough of them!

Bakers Dozen by Kali Brixton

A single dad holiday romance? YES PLEASE! Scott is a single dad to ten children and the owner of a coffee shop. Nova needs a change and her aunt gets her a job at the coffee shop. Instant chemistry between Scott and Nova, even though it takes Scott some time to realize what is right in front of him. Great relationship between Scott and his kids, but also Nova and the kids. The entire Baker family is just drawn to her. She is the one who can help them all heal. I loved every single moment of this story.

Nog or Never by Melissa Williams

A hilarious brother’s best friend romance. Belinda works at a bakery and is also a baking teacher. She has had a crush on her brother’s friend for a long time. Luke left town a year ago for a job and now he is back in town and ready to tell Belinda how he feels. I loved the banter between Belinda and Luke and their chemistry was amazing. I couldn’t get enough of Belinda and Luke’s story!

These stories are all complete and oh so sweet. Just the right length to pull you in. They are all different so there's something for everyone to enjoy.

The Gingerbread Showdown by Piper Rayne
This was such a sweet romance. I love the way Trent and Sophie meet and find out about each other.

Sweet Girl by MC Cerny
Evan is the sweetest husband who just wants to make his wife happy, any way he can. Including cooking lessons.

'Tis the Season by Kyra Fox
I loved the flirting and banter between Dec and Elle - there was only so long they could resist each other.

Bakers Dozen by Kali Brixton
Small town romance with two of the nicest people and an interfering aunt.

Deck...the Balls by DL Gallie
It was hard work trying to like these two but they were perfect for each other.

Much as Smoochas by Halo Roberts
A second chance romance between two people who belonged together.

Nog or Never by Melissa Williams
Luke was her childhood crush who left without saying goodbye, now he's back and Bee still feels the same.

All of this amazing stories deserve 5 stars because they are all equally good!!!

This Christmas short stories are one of the best I've ever read and once I started reading I couldn't put my kindle down. I went from one story to the next and every single one fascinated me. The characters were super entertaining, some with emotional stories and some with very funny scenarios that made me laughed so hard I couldn't stop. The chemistry and passion between all the main characters were super hot and the love stories were just perfect.

This was honestly the best Christmas treat ever and so if you love stories perfect for the Christmas season with guarantees HEA then look no farther and grab Christmas Treats now!!!

Great stories

This book has some great stories that are Christmas baking themed by seven authors I've previously only read Piper Rayne but the rest are great authors, too. I'll be looking at the books from the rest of them. The stories are good plus recipes. I recommend this book. I received an ARC to read early but I bought my own copy. I'm leaving my honest review.

Great book filled with Christmas stories that have the right amount of Christmas spirit, laughs and steamy romance! I was already a fan of Piper Rayne and Kyra Fox, and now I have a whole new handful of authors to read. I’ve written a review for each story in the collection so sorry it’s such a long review!
...I received Christmas Treats as an ARC and I am leaving my honest review ...

The Gingerbread Showdown
Instant lust/attraction. Very steamy but realistic scene. Trent & Sophie are HOT! Sophie doesn’t “do relationships” and found out Trent is more than meets the eye. Sophie is having a bad day and decides to have a one night stand with who she assumes is some beach bum. Turns out Trent is WAY more than meets the eye, and has set his sights on Sophie. What path will Sophie follow to find her HEA? Fun story, easy to read, you definitely fall in love with the characters.

Sweet Girl
Evan and Remi. Cute story about a husband and wife. It’s clearly a novella about already established characters. I haven’t read the previous books so I felt a bit left out of the storyline. I might have enjoyed the book more if I had read her previous books. I loved their chemistry and how much they obviously love each other. Remi is pretty horrible in the kitchen so her husband Evan gets her cooking lessons to boost her confidence. Too bad the teacher hits on Remi sending Evan into caveman mode, and he decides to accompany his wife. Things get crazy and Evan has to kiss up to Remi when he gets them kicked out of the class. Sweet story all in all.

‘Tis The Season To Be Jelly
Eloise and Declan. Connor is the sassy BFF we all need in our life. Eloise has been working with Declan for almost a year and has had a crush on him the entire time. The day she decides to FINALLY ask him out is the day their company lands a huge client. Declan is the lead and guess who he chose for second in command? And guess who doesn’t date coworkers? As Elle says “Well, FML” Turns out Dec has had a thing for Elle as long as she’s been crushing on him. What ensues is witty banter, late nights, sexual tension, almost defiling a desk, and a botched drunken booty call that ends up with a possible skull fracture. When they finally give in?... whew, scorching hot! Fun story, loved it!

Baker’s Dozen
Scott and Nova. Scott has been a widow for a year. With a coffee shop to run and 10 kids to raise, he’s got a lot on his plate. Nova is moving back to Silverton after her nasty divorce. Her ex’s shenanigans left her homeless and jobless and she needs to start over. Nova’s aunt, who has become a surrogate grandma for Scott’s family, has talked Nova into moving in with her and taking a job to help out Scott. What Scott and Nova don’t realize is that there’s a lot of Christmas magic floating around when the coffee shop is entered into the Christmas Soirée contest. I loved this story! So sweet, but with the right amount of heat and sassy dialogue. Your heartstring are pulled hearing about what the Baker’s have been through and you want them to have all the happiness ever. Nova is a breath of fresh air, and Vera Kay is amazing. Plus, we all need a Millie in our lives! Great characters, great plot... enjoyable read!

Deck... the Balls
Reese and Jesse. These two have known each other since high school. Their relationship has been tense. Reese hates that Jesse in all his perfection called her names and taunted her. Jesse thinks she’s hot but kind of rude because she’s always snapping at him. After being away for awhile, Jesse is back as the principal for the school Reese teaches at. The straw that breaks Reese’s proverbial back is when Jesse beats her in a baking contest. His flippant “Good luck with the Christmas bake off” makes Reese determined to win at all costs. All of these angry and tense interactions between the two suddenly become filled with sexual tension when they realize that these explosive situations have been because they are both extremely attracted to each other. I loved these two together. Even when sniping at each other the chemistry was hot. They both gave as good as they got and made it so much better when they finally got together. Once Reese realized she was taking what Jesse said out of context, and Jesse realized why Reese was so mad, they turned into a sweet and sassy couple. Very enjoyable!

Muchas Smoochas
Freya and Enrique. To be blunt, Freya’s life sucks right now. She’s just signed the divorce papers she was served (in her bridal boutique no less) by her soon to be ex husband (that was cheating) and she literally walks into her past (the new owner of the brewery next door.) Enrique was her first love, first everything, including her first heartbreak when he abruptly drives out of her life and doesn’t look back. Enrique is excited for his new business venture when a blast from the past walks into his present. He thought he was over Freya, thought what they had wasn’t as big as it seemed in his head. Boy was he wrong! After a night of alcohol, a wedding dress, some tears and a lot of talking... Freya and Ricky realize that second chances make the best Christmas present. How can you not fall in love with these two?! I love second chance romances, and these two are just so sweet. A quick easy read, it has that insta love feel but is so much better knowing that a couple meant to be together finds their way back.

Nog or Never
Belinda and Luke have grown up together. Luke is Belinda’s older brother Brendan’s best friend. Belinda was always the tag along and always had a crush on Luke. The night Belinda gets the courage to tell Luke how she feels, Luke panics and takes a job that puts him in another country. Flash forward a year and suddenly Luke is back in Belinda’s life. She thought she was over him, but one look and she knows she’s still in love. Luke knew the moment he left he made a mistake in leaving Belinda. He’s in love with her too but wanted to feel worthy of her love. That was part of the reason he left, that, and his over protective best friend. Luke is back in town and is hoping the Christmas spirit will help him when Belinda over for good. This was a great book! Belinda’s Christmas puns are the best, and she’s so sassy! Luke and Belinda are so hot together, and I love seeing their playful side. Insta love with all the greatness of a second chance romance. Perfect Christmas story!

Great samples of the authors

I admit I am a bit of a holiday movie junkie and love the sweet, funny stories of people finding love during the holidays. I also love short stories. This book fits both. And bonus, I now have new authors I look forward to enjoying. The short stories showcase each author’s work and provide a great way to discover someone new. The recipes sound delicious too.

Well now I want donuts for sure. This was such a suck cute read. With a dash of steam and a whole lot of sweet. There's even dashes of comedy here and there too. They make a perfect edition to the clan even if it's by proxy.

Interesting impressive suspenseful emotional

You get a little bit of everything when you read this collection of stories. Enjoyed the authors I read before, but I also found some new authors. There are a few recipes that I appreciated reading and I'm going to try. This emotionally charged book was an excellent variation. Highly recommended for the mature audiences for reading.

Overall I enjoyed these stories by the 7 authors, I'm a sucker for christmas themed books and these did not disappoint. I was fully aware that they were short novella's but i do wish there was more to each story, a continuation maybe. Each writer did a great job with what they wrote and most will definitely be author's i read in the future.
