Seekers of the Wild Realm #2

Legend of the Realm

Rate this book
Fablehaven meets How to Train Your Dragon in this action-packed finale to the Seekers of the Wild Realm duology, following Bryn and Ari as they figure out how to stop the return of a plague.

Now that Bryn and Ari are official Seekers, they are excited to help the rest of the council in keeping the Realm and the magical creatures who live there safe. During a routine check with their beloved magical dragon, Lijla, Bryn, and Ari discover a baby gyrpuff with mysterious dark eyes. It’s clearly unwell, and after explaining to the rest of the elder council, they fear that a massive plague that crippled the Realm years prior has somehow returned.

Though Bryn and Ari manage to save the gyrpuff (named Little Puff) from near death, it is now up to Bryn, Ari, and the rest of the Seekers to find out how exactly this plague has returned—and whether or not human forces were at work in bringing it back.

This novel tells about a 12 year old girl named Byrn who takes her very first challenges as an official Seeker of the wild realm.

When Seeker Byrn and her Seeker friend, Ari find out the truth after a deadly and menacing plague emerging, destroying the charming Realm, they could not wait to explore and save it from the threat.

The plague has appeared before, killing more than half of the realm. However the council decided to keep it as a secret between the seekers. When Seeker Byrn and Seeker Ari find out about the disease, the other older seekers had no choice but to tell themabout it.

Whenever Byrn and Ari tried to voice their ideas, the other seekers interrupted them and turned against them. She decided to prove herself to the council by breaking the rules and entering in the Realm at night to find any clue, how to cure the sick animals. Thinking she's right and confident about the adventure, she nearly lost her dragon, Lilja.

My favorite character in this story is Seeker Byrn because I liked the way she showed courage and a pure will to save the Realm, although she made many mistakes along her way. I strongly recommend this book to studetns who enjoy fantasy, adventure and magic.

J'adore cet univers !

three and a half stars.
i listened to the adio book.
i've read this book before in the past, and really anjoyed it.

but this time bryn just seemed very unlikable, always breaking rules and thinking she's right. very stuck in one point of veiw and just not very likable at all.

plus, the little bit with little puff being taken out of the realm, and no-one even finding out, is just bad.

and i would have liked more about how they sent the vondor away, some dilog, quistioning, asking the liken something, we had so much build up to it, but then it ends right after it starts.

nicely written though

If you loved the story of Bryn and Ari the first time, this second adventure will not fail to disappoint. The Realm is still as beautiful and imaginative as ever and is under attack again. Now as a Seeker, Bryn feels the need to prove herself to the rest of the Council of Seekers more than ever, and often dismisses all other advice in doing so. It takes Lilja succumbing to the attacks before she will finally stop to listen. I enjoyed the adventure and the plot moves quickly, but would have liked some new to differentiate it from the original story.

The legend of the realm is a story filled with magic, suspense, and adventure. I love how much Bryn cares for the realm and its magical creatures that live in it. I also love Runa's personality and her attitude. I was kind of annoyed with how the other seekers just kept ignoring Bryn but i'm glad about how it turned out in the end. The events and moments in the book kept me on my toes and I couldn't wait to find out what would happen next. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves adventure, suspense, magic, and fantasy.

I thought this was a super fun read. I loved the adventure elements I also thought it handled the topic of pandemic and that was unique element. I also really loved the characters and their adventures and also the talks about sexism and loved the fun animals in this world and also loved the focus on friendship elements. It was super quick read as well. Well def read more by this author in the future.

Read with my daughter (4th grade) and enjoyed. The main character works to save her community from a plague while also learning to be assertive and to look beyond trying to do everything herself.

The adventure continues a bit down the road from the ending of book one. Still filled with dragons, magical creatures, evil intruders, friendship and fun. A longer but easy read for parents with kids 8-12 years old.

The adventures of Bryn, Ari and Runa continue is this story as a new challenge threatens the realm. Can Bryn overcome her need to prove herself at the expense of her friendship? What is causing the animals of the realm to fall ill? An attention grabbing sequel for those who have read Book 1.

I was really annoyed with the main character’s arrogant attitude, but, thankfully, she realized her errors and became a better teammate. We enjoyed the cute, magical creatures and this story as a read aloud.

The main character makes the same mistake over. and over. and over. and over. and over. and over. and over... you get the idea.

At the end of the book she learns to not make this mistake. With a competent main character, half the book could have been taken out from her learning why

Another fun book in the series. Fun to see Runs find her feet, though the plot itself was a little less exciting.

This was a cute little two book series. I did like the first book better but this one was still good. I wouldn’t be mad if there was a third book 😊
