Singh Sisters #2

Wild Wishes and Windswept Kisses

Rate this book
How much can change in a day? Nidhi, Avani, Sirisha, and Rani are about to find out in this follow-up to Drizzle, Dreams, and Lovestruck Things.

The Songbird Inn has always been the perfect home. No one knows that better than the Singh sisters. Nidhi, Avani, Sirisha, and Rani have been lovestruck and heartbroken and everything in between, all at their dad's cozy bed-and-breakfast. And today the whole Singh family will support aspiring filmmaker Rani in her first film festival—if only they can make it through the windstorm ravaging the Pacific Northwest.

After spending the last few months in India, Nidhi is coming back to Orcas Island, and she can't wait to see her sisters again! But thanks to a series of weather-induced travel delays, she finds herself struggling to make her way home—beside none other than her sort-of ex, Grayson. Will an old flame spark to life once again?

Avani can't decide what she wants from her future. What college, what major, what career—it's all so stressful! The only thing she's sure about is Fernando, but lately, things between them have been anything but smooth. Will they manage to save their relationship? And how will she ever decide what to do with her life?

Sirisha is trying to overcome her first heartbreak after her romance with Brie has fizzled out. But it's not easy—especially when your ex wants to be friends and everyone acts like they've got you all figured out. Sirisha's ready for a change. Will she be able to break out of her shell?

Rani has the perfect relationship with her boyfriend, Raj. And she won't let anyone forget it! That's why her short film for the festival is all about their epic love story, one that transcends time and space. But when filmmaking stress reveals cracks beneath the surface, how will Rani respond?

Relationships fall apart and come together. But through it all, there's one thing the Singhs can count on: their family will always be there for each other.

This was a good sequel! All four sisters stayed true to themselves but also grew which was sweet to see. I liked how the whole book took place over the course of one day and had multiple plots going. It was definitely surface level times but overall cute.

This really was wild wishes and full of windswept kisses and all within just one day. All four sisters are swept away in a crazy day of a wind storm.

Nidhi is held up by cancelled flights and with no rental cars available, she’s in for a strange but unforgettable adventure home.

Avani is struggling to figure out her future while grasping for the flame she once had with Fernando.

While her twin Rani has the perfect relationship with the perfect Raj. Right? RIGHT?

Sirisha has been nursing her broken heart after her relationship with Brie ended but it seems like it’s time for Sirisha to open up a bit more- especially after she meets a pretty girl after being invited to a themed birthday party.

Honestly, I think I liked this part of the Singh sisters lives more than the first book- it was silly and heartbreaking at times but full of all the love I enjoyed originally. Maya has such a beautiful way of writing love 🖤

(Disclaimer: I received this book from the publisher. This has not impacted my review which is unbiased and honest.)

Wild Wishes and Windswept Kisses explores what home means to each of us. Whether it be the people we love, the places that wrap us in hugs, or the feelings we chase. With alternating chapters and sister POVs, this sequel is full of tenderness. Of the love and support we find in family, but also the frustration when they become wrapped up in their own lives. Of love with a partner, but also the ways in which we think that things should be easier, but they aren't.

A heartfelt coming of age story about four South Asian American sisters set in the Pacific North West during autumn as they navigate love, life and what comes after high school. Told in alternating POVs, we get to know each sister even better in this follow up to last year's Drizzle, dreams and lovestruck things.

While it was difficult at times to keep each story straight, I loved how different each of the sisters was, each struggling with very unique challenges (one has ADHD, one is trying to make a film, one is exploring new love and one is having fun with a murder mystery game).

Great on audio narrated by one of my favs, Soneela Nankali and perfect for fans of authors like Farah Heron or Sajni Patel. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for early digital and audio copies in exchange for my honest review!

This is the perfect fall vibes novel. If you need a cozy autumn romance to FALL in love with... this is the novel. I loved the prequel to this novel, but this one is adorable and whimsical and beautiful. I hope there's many more novels with the Singh sisters' stories. I absolutely adore all of them.

Nidhi makes it to India for her culinary internship and has the best time... so much so that she wants to extend her studies for a summer. But she needs to get home to get it cleared with her advisor and see her sister's big movie debut. A series of humorous and terribly fated shenanigans ensue on her quest to get home.

Avani's struggling to balance the million things she signed up for: clubs, activities, working at the Songbird Inn. She's so busy that she forgets some of her commitments and overbooks others. Unfortunately, it's her relationship with Fernando that suffers the most. Can she get some help with here adhd and save her relationship?

Sirisha and Bree have ended their whirlwind relationship. Sirisha is determined to get out from behind the camera. So when she's immersed in Bethany's birthday party's murder mystery, she leaves her camera behind and embraces her role as Scarlett: a notorious gangster and bootlegger. Is there a new spark growing in her?

Rani is living her dream. Awesome boyfriend. A great opportunity to create a 7 minute film. A chance to meet her favorite director. What could go wrong for the queen of romance as she's living her fairy tale come true?

If you're ready for an epic adventure, curl up with this novel now!

I loved this book just as I lived the first installment (Drizzle, Dreams, and Lovestruck Things)!

The Singh sisters AND their father, along with their partners (this IS a romance, after all) make up such a loveable cast, each with their own unique voice and story. I really enjoyed taking a deeper dive into what happens following the events of the first novel and how Prasad explores that not all romances have happy endings (at least, not always the first time).

This is a more mature romance book, for readers eager to hear about the nuances of falling (or remaining smitten) with someone in the real world. It doesn't hold back any emotional gut punches, but without a doubt, readers will finish with book satisfied with the heartwarming conclusion.

I wish I had the time to reread Drizzle, Dreams, and Lovestruck Things before reading this, but I'm still really glad I finally read this! I do think I liked the first one a bit more, as I missed the Songbird Inn, but I still had fun and really loved the way the Singh sisters' stories came together.

3.5 stars! Overall this book was super cute! I enjoyed the first one better, as I liked the idea of four short stories that all weave into one continuous story better than four stories all happening at the same time. I liked that each of the sisters had different endings to their stories as well.

First of all, thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy of Wild Wishes and Windswept Kisses. I loved Prasad's first novel in this series, so I was very much looking forward to this one. While I enjoyed the first half of Wild Wishes, the back half felt less balanced, and I found myself skimming some sisters' perspectives just to get back to the ones I really wanted to read. Overall, I still liked this one, just not as much as the first. I plan to purchase this one *if* the first does really well in my library. If not, it'll be an additional purchase.

LOVED this!!! However, I wish we got more of the Singh sisters together in one place and their relationships instead of the romance.

Maya Prasad is a champion of atmosphere and story arcs. Every single sister went in a journey that I felt was realistic and heartfelt. I loved how sex was talked about, how the Indian-American experience plays out in India, and ADHD rep. I also adored just how she writes about India as a whole.

I loved the way Rani and her hopeless romantic side, and how all that was handled. Sirisha’s arc was the most entertaining and it made me so happy to see queer desi love 🫶🏽

Please read this duology!! It’s everything I’ve ever wanted to exist in desi-American literature

A gorgeous follow up to Drizzle, Dreams, and Lovestruck Things. Filled with love, wonder, and the same amazing character lineup, and some new ones too! Each sister has gone through major character development, both from the time we last saw them to the short span of a day, and, like the first book, I learned more about myself through each pov.
Nihdi: Through a day of missed flights and rekindled and new connections alike, I learned that sometimes spontaneity and newness is ok, even when it feels uncomfortable. You'll find your place eventually, and sometimes, though it may not be in your plan, second chances are important.
Avani: While her relationship with Fernando feels like it's dying, she also has to find her future. She taught me that it's ok to not know things, but that no matter what, you always have to try. Sometimes things don't work out, and sometimes they do, but what matters is the effort you put in.
Rani: When a day of filming and romance doesn't turn out the way Rani plans, I learned sometimes you have to work with what you have, and see the bright side of things. Sometimes, it turns into something better than you could ever imagine!
Sirisha: After her romance with Bree, Sirisha goes back to being more shy. But in an acting party, she finally opens up again. Sirisha taught me to open up, and allow others into my life. She showed me that I can't hide all the time, and I have to speak my mind and be social.
I loved returning to this world as we go through their lives. It's fun, flirty, cute, and sometimes heartbreaking, but it's so beautiful and full of the family I loved.

A very successful sequel to Drizzle, Dreams, And Lovestruck Things, which turns the conceit of the first—four stories told over four seasons about four sisters—on its head a bit, with the four Singh sisters each having a new romantic tale, but all over the course of a single very eventful day. While each of the stories last time around were separate, in this one they're blended, with perspective shifting from chapter to chapter, but once again (like the Singh sisters) they are each quite different and so each reader will have their own favorite.

This didn’t have the cozy lighthearted feel that the first one had, (until the end) so I didn’t like it as much. I was really frustrated by the beginning because half of the couples have broken up that got together in the first book. We don’t need them to break up just for the sequel to be interesting! That made me kind of not even want to read it because what was the point of getting everyone together in the first book to just break them up before the second book starts? I really don’t like that so many authors think that they have to do this otherwise the book wouldn’t be interesting? There can be other conflicts and plot points besides that. And there are other conflicts such as the wind storm. I just don’t think we need that much conflict, like the book starts out with so much conflict and it’s just too much. I was frustrated reading the beginning but it got better. My favorite chapters were Sirisha’s and Nidhi’s. They were a lot more chill and less drama filled compared to Avani and Rani’s chapters. The middle of the book was also frustrating during Rani and Avani’s chapters but Nearing the end when the conflicts were less prominent I enjoyed Avani and Rani’s chapters a lot. I might have been too harsh about the middle because at the end of the book everything came together so well and I really loved the ending. The journey of reading it was just a lot since we follow 4 characters and all of their conflicts and relationships. At times it was just a little too frustrating and I missed the cozy lightheartedness that we had in the first book. But I understand since this took place in one day why we had to fit so much into it. The ending is so good!!! 3.5/5 Oh also the cover is STUNNING oh my gosh

In the first book Fernando was so so sweet so I just thought it was unrealistic that he was acting the complete opposite for the whole book (until the end). He did not feel the the same character at all. I just think the romances are too much of the focus in Avani and Sirisha’s chapters. There are plenty of other things going on like in Rani’s it’s very focused on her film which I like. And in Nidhi’s chapter I was rooting for her and Grayson to get back together because they obviously still like each other a lot and the story is interesting since they’re traveling back home together.
Spoiler thoughts //
The only thing I didn’t like about Nidhi’s chapters was that she kept telling us how she slept with someone else while her and Grayson were apart. That made me so upset especially at the end when she realized she loves Grayson and he loves her and he only agreed to be casual because she wanted to. Ugh. I just hate that it feels like every character just moves on from their romantic relationships so easily, and her and Grayson are so cute together yet she just sleeps with someone else like it’s no big deal and she doesn’t even wish it had been with Grayson?

Seriously Raj breaks up with Rani??? Really? Oh my god that means every couple that got together in book 1 breaks up why?. At least the reason Raj broke up with her was understandable but he could have done it in person!! He was so rude to interrupt her filming day by calling her and telling her that, he could have waited until later to tell her that in person and just tell her about the divorce on the phone. And then Rani is thinking about how Raj is the one for her and maybe it will work out for them in the future, but then 2 seconds later she’s like wow Ed is handsome! Ugh. I wanted to see how everything would work out in the end and hoped it would get better and more lighthearted so I kept reading. I also think these books deserve more readers and wanted to give this book another rating and review on here. But I really wasn’t enjoying a lot of the book because it was making my frustrated. I also again wanted more of the sisters interacting instead of the main focus being the romances.

The ending was good, it was nice when Fernando was finally being sweet again and it was nice the way he and Avani made up. Communicating their mistakes and apologizing was refreshing and mature. I also liked the ending with Rani and how there was finally a cozy scene although it was brief, but sitting on the sofa in a coffee shop rewriting her script with everyone’s encouragement. I loved how everyone encouraged her and how it inspired her to change her script. I loved Nidhi’s ending with Grayson! The ending is really really good. And I mean like the last 70-80 pages straight were just solidly really good and enjoyable. It finally became more lighthearted as all the conflicts came to an end and it was just a nice and wholesome ending. I like how everything was wrapped up really well and all of the endings for each character were really nice. And the last page was so perfect and reminded me that this one wasn’t as cozy because it wasn’t set at the inn and that’s ok. It’s just that I expected it to be so that’s why I was disappointed that this one wasn’t as cozy as the first. But there were so many lines that were really good and thought provoking throughout all of the ending. I really loved the ending!!

Young Romance In Autumn
Are you looking for a fall-themed book that includes romance, beautiful whimsical language and multiple POV? Then you should definitely check out Wild Wishes and Windswept Kisses by Maya Prasad. It’s the second book in the Singh family saga, about South Asian sisters living in the Pacific Northwest in a beautiful inn. Nidhi, Avani, Sirisha and Rani are all in various states of romance as they get ready to support their sister Rani in her first film festival. But just like the state of some of their relationships, an unpredictable windstorm hits Orcas Island where they live in The Songbird Inn and causes of series of hurdles for the sisters to jump through as they pursue love and their dreams.

Book two stands alone and I can confirm that your enjoyment of Wild Wishes is not dependent on having read book one, Drizzle, Dreams, and Lovestruck Things. But you will be inspired to check it out after reading Wild Wishes, which is what I’m planning on doing! And I’m so excited because Drizzle covers four seasons!

I’m a super fan of seasonal settings, but I mostly only find books with a winter or summer theme. So I’ll be the first to admit that I am in love with the cover!!! Wild Wishes is set in November, with each of the sisters stories incorporating flashbacks to earlier parts of autumn.

Diverse Romance
Wild Wishes and Windswept Kisses does an awesome job of telling the stories of a variety of relationships. Each sister is involved in a relationship that are at different turning points — awakenings, make-ups, breakups and mid-relationship crises. There is diversity in the sisters relationships too with race, sexuality and sexual experience. Teen angst, innocence and coming of age are sweetly interwoven into the plots.

ADHD Rep
I appreciated Avani’s struggle with considering whether she had ADHD or not. Her thinking of how it could be affecting her choices and her relationship with Fernando was a thought process that many might go through. Avani’s involvement in a million extra curricular activities and her time blindness are clues for her to start thinking about whether she should seek a diagnosis for herself. Its affect on her relationship with Fernando also gives her pause for consideration.

Audiobook Narration
I did a combination of reading the physical copy of the book and listening to the audiobook. By the way, one of my favorite narrators, Soneela Nankani, is narrating and she did another awesome job! Her characterization of each sister helped me keep their stories separate in my head. A beautiful voice for a beautiful book. The only thing with the audiobook was that I found it hard to keep track of the flashbacks.

Different Writing Styles
I found the different writing formats included in the book very interesting. All of the sisters used text messages, which I find is becoming a common style incorporated in young adult books now. But Prasad also incorporates some unique formats associated with each sister. She includes what I would call ‘play within a play’, scripts, lists and poetry. For anyone teaching creative writing to high school students, I think this would be an awesome mentor text to explore in teaching character building and combining style/format as part of the characterization.

Beautiful, Romantic Language
I would be remiss if I didn’t end this review by saying how much I loved the whimsical and emotional language of this book. Prasad does a beautiful job of using the language of romance to not just talk about romance, but to also describe nature and life. I absolutely read this book with my head tilted to the side and small smile on my face. It reminded me of cottage core and the romantic idea of living on a beautiful Pacific Northwest island in a quaint inn. Just loved it.

Maya Prasad's second novel, 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐖𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐩𝐭 𝐊𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬, takes readers back to The Songbird Inn and the familial bonds of sisterhood with the Singh sisters. Love, laughter, and sisterhood intertwine to create a heartfelt tale of resilience and growth. From their shared adventures at The Songbird Inn to navigating the challenges of relationships and self-discovery, the Singh sisters learn that no matter what life throws their way, they can always rely on each other's unwavering support and love. Whether braving a windstorm together or overcoming heartbreak, the bonds between the Singh sisters remain unbreakable. In this breathtaking and beautiful coming-of-age novel, Maya Prasad envelops her readers in a warm, comforting hug of words and descriptions. The story unfolds with lyrical prose, painting vivid images of idyllic landscapes and captivating characters that readers will love and relate to.

Just because I mostly read horror/thrillers does not mean I can't enjoy a cozy story once in a while. In fact, having a perfect balance between man-eating butterflies and a rainy-day fall romance is what every reader needs to keep herself sane or, in my case, to find solace amidst the darkness. 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐖𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐩𝐭 𝐊𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 by Maya Prasad became the cozy yin to my horror-fueled yang this October. Similar to its predecessor, 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐳𝐥𝐞, 𝐃𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬, this book engulfed me like a big, warm bear hug. The love emanating from this book is unmatched, whether it's the lovable characters or the expertly woven atmosphere. As a reader of carefully chosen genres, I can honestly say that I could not put this book down. This book is a romantic book for everyone, even for the non-romantic.

(free review copy) This series is poetic and romantic and so, so inclusive, which makes me so happy! Young adult as a whole is doing a better job than adult with inclusivity in "happy" books and I'm so grateful Prasad is sharing these stories with us. The setting (a small island in the San Juans off of the coast of Seattle) is just delightful, and the Singh family is great for older fans of the Vanderbeekers or Penderwicks. I have some minor quibbles with the structure of the second half of the book, and didn't always love the insertions of verse, screenplay and murder mystery game narrative, but I'm pretty picky when it comes to structure, so I'm not letting that impact my review of the story itself. This story is a great choice for fans of Blackout and Whiteout, with the inclusion of multiple romances and the entire story happening over the course of one day. This is book 2 in the series, so make sure not to miss Drizzle, Dreams, and Lovestruck Things!

Characters are all in high school and college, sex is mentioned (sex-positive tone) but there is no sex on the page, some alcohol consumption.

Thank you to NetGalley and Disney Hyperion for the eGalley to review!

I was quite excited seeing a sequel to Drizzle, Dreams, and Lovestruck Things, and I did enjoy reading more about the Singh sisters and their relationships. Unfortunately, while there were great conversations that teens need to have and plenty of fun scenes in this book, for the most part I felt like it was just dragging on and on and never going to arrive at any resolutions, let alone to an ultimate end. The first book was about as long as this one but never did I feel like wishing it was just over already like I did several times with this one.

The thing I really liked about the first book was that each sister got her own season for her story to be told. This meant nicely controlled pacing and they weren't fighting each other for air time, so to speak. This sequel is pretty much the exact opposite. It's still broken up into parts, but everything is happening at the same time. It goes back and forth and back and forth between all four sisters in each part, which means it just gets chaotic and muddled. It's hard to focus on any one story line. For this, I think it took away any significant impact for each story's resolution and that some of the sisters' stories felt like they had more weight than the others.

I would still recommend reading the sequel to anyone who enjoyed the first book, but I think that recommendation would come with a couple of asterisks.

💫 (screams in wholesomeness)

💫 This book was so frickin warm and wholesome, it was basically like a hug, or like warm coffee on a rainy day 😭 book 1 introduced us to the MCs (aka the 4 Indian-American sisters), and showed us their lives over the course of a year. This book picks up months later, showing the changes and the constants in the sisters' lives, set over the course of a few days (with flashbacks) in the background of a tumultuous storm that changes and brightens up all their lives <3 I loved all the discussions and thoughts and the resolutions ahh 😭

💫 I particularly loved the unique narration style of each sister! The way they each think is so distinct and unique, and imo the author has done such a cool job with the different writing styles! (For those who are wondering, the styles are - in terms of to-do/what-happened lists, poetry, movie dialogues, introvert style what she thinks versus what she says)

💫 Also, the rep! There's an introverted af main sapphic relationship (they were so cute 😭), neurodivergent rep (imo the thought process there was shown so beautifully), and more lovely queer representation in the secondary characters!

I enjoyed this book similarly to book 1. It was a cozy and joyful read that I looked forward to picking up each evening. The dialogue and plot line were a bit far fetched and cheesy at times, but I think that’s what the author was going for. And I definitely think this book moved more on plot than the last book. I don’t usually love cheesy stories, but what set this story apart for me was getting to read about a bunch of brown girls in the PNW and lovely descriptions of nature.

If I break down each sister’s storylines I didn’t particularly connect with any of them - maybe Rani’s was the most enjoyable for me. But together all the stories seemed to mesh well together. And I did find myself connecting with a different sister’s story at different times depending on the pacing. I do wish we got more scenes of the sisters together rather than just chatting via texts. And I missed the cozy inn setting. That is what pulled me into the first book!

I’m not sure how much more plot is possible with these characters, but I’d love to continue knowing them in future books. Like one of those friends who you hang out with whenever you’re in town and catch up!

🍂Wild Wishes and Windswept Kisses Tour🍂

If this cover doesn’t scream cozy fall vibes then here are 5 Reasons to Read Wild Wishes and Windswept Kisses!

🍁 One day: 4 sisters and 4 stories
🍁 Diverse characters that will literally warm your heart
🍁 Queer love
🍁 Life and love beyond “happily ever after”
🍁 Set on the stunning Orcas Island

Drizzle Dreams and Lovestruck Things was one of my top reads of the year and the sequel is no exception. In this next installment we follow the dynamic Singh sisters as they navigate their changing lives and relationships. While some couples seem stronger than ever, others are slowly unraveling and each sister must make a choice. This is more than a romance story, it is a story about self discovery, sisterhood, and tapping in to the passions that drive us most. Maya Prasad’s writing will have you wishing you had your very own Songbird Inn to call home. If you haven’t added this to your shelves what are you waiting for!

The Singh sisters are back!! I enjoyed getting to go on new journeys and move through life with them.

I really appreciated that not all of their endings from Drizzle and Dreams were there forever endings. Seeing how sometimes the choices made in high school or even after are not necessarily the choice for life. Dreams can change. People in your life can change. Choices can change. However, that can be a good thing. I love how close the sisters are but wish they didn't always worry so heavily on upsetting or disappointing them. While I think it's good you can't always base choices on what is going to make others happy and I would love to see them all be a tiny bit about themselves.

I loved the second part to the sister's lives and think if you read Drizzle and Dreams (and enjoyed it) you will be so happy with this book!

Thank you NetGalley and Disney for the chance to read and review.

Having read the first in the series, I went in with high expectations and wasn’t disappointed! You can also read the book as a standalone, though I'd recommend reading both.

Dive into the perfect fall vibes with Prasad’s new enchanting novel, a cozy blend of romance and whimsy featuring the captivating Singh sisters. Nidhi's culinary escapades in India provide a heartwarming thread, while Avani's bustling life explores the challenges of juggling clubs, activities, and love. Sirisha's post-romance transformation while solving make-believe murder mystery adds unexpected charm, and Rani's dreamy narrative weaves romance and filmmaking. Prasad's storytelling prowess shines in addressing themes like sex, the Indian-American experience, and ADHD representation. The portrayal of queer desi love adds an authentic touch, and it is set in November, making it a perfect read for this month.

I hope there’s another one coming soon!

I really enjoyed getting to know these four unique sisters. The setting of an inn on Orcas Island was beautiful. The author did a wonderful job with the descriptions of the area and making me feel like I was there with the sisters. This is the second book in the Singh Sisters series, but can be read as a stand-alone. Though I definitely recommend checking out the first book too.

The chapters rotate between each of the four sisters and their unique situations. I found myself really invested in each sister’s relationship past and present. The heartaches and the growth they were experiencing. I especially felt for Sirsha and dealing with her first heartbreak.

Overall, a beautiful, heartfelt YA that I recommend to readers who enjoy coming off age stories with family, romance, character growth, and beautiful settings.

Wild Wishes and Windswept Kisses

by Maya Prasad
This is a great resource for the middle school and high school library. First of all, The family in the focus of the story, is diverse, and very inclusive. The Indian traditions and descriptions of India are woven through the story adding to the multicultural elements. The book shows the nature of personal relationships. The family dynamic as the sisters support each other not only in relationships but in their dreams. Especially how honesty of relationships developed by personal work. The LGBTQ + relationships shown in an accepting, and encouraging way. The idea of understanding ability and the change from high school into the real world. The stress and problems of high school seniors, and their attempts to find their focus for college or next steps in life.

This is such a fun and perfect sequel! I really love all the adventures (and misadventures!) the Singh sisters take on in this book. There’s dance classes, wild road trip journeys, short film contests, and my personal favorite, a murder-themed mystery party with a sweet sapphic romance! Maya Prasad’s writing is lyrical and beautiful and brings the Singh sisters to life with joy and hope and heartbreak that will absolutely sweep you away.

Just as comfy and cozy and beautiful as the first one 🥰🥹❤️🧡💛
Takes place over one day rather than one year like the first, but all of the characters are just as relatable and kind and show just as much growth in a whole new way. I just loved it 💚🩵💜 these sisters will always hold a special place in my heart! A fantastic author that manages to write these whimsical, heartwarming books without fail each time 😊
