Clarity “Gigi” Martin moved to Premonition Pointe for a fresh start. And that’s exactly what she got when she found a house that was connected to her ancestors and a group of witches who welcomed her into their fold. It’s not easy starting over at forty, but she’s determined to do it on her own terms with her past left firmly behind her… until Sebastian Knight walks back into her life. He’s the one person she’d ever truly trusted, and also the one person that threatens to break open the past she never wants to visit again.
Now Gigi has two choices, chose to keep running or put her heart and soul on the line for a future she’s always wanted but was always out of reach.

Ms. Chase has written another exciting and entertaining addition to her Premonition Pointe series. I have enjoyed the previous books in the series and was eager to "meet" Clarity/Gigi. This book did not disappoint with mystery, romance and magic. I look forward to the next one in the series.
This is a great story that I did not want to put down. This characters are -expel I wouldn’t mind having as friends in real life. They are complex, determined, and at times funny. I enjoyed following along on Gigi and Sebastian’s journey. I’m looking forward to reading what happens next.
Of ALL the series’ I read and love, I think this is the one I would love to live in. Again, it’s kinda like a witchy Hallmark channel, but with some dark twists & turns thrown in which I love. Nothing will ever be as perfect and peachy as it seems which adds a bit of foreshadowing and foreboding, driving you to continue reading. Despite the witches being similar to her Keating Hollow ones, she finds new and unique ways to create and develop even more unique witches. I love how her characters are imperfect, and especially in her Premonition Pointe series. She really does embrace the good, the bad, and the ugly that comes with middle aged women. They often carry the same issues and worries that we do, and if you don’t, you can still easily sympathize with them. I LOOOOVED the hilarity of Gigi and her yoga episode. It literally had me rolling with laughter. You know it’s a good one when you can’t wait to share it with others, which I’ve definitely done with Clarity’s book.
My one criticism is that the ghosts played such an integral role in getting Gigi her house and away from her abusive husband that I wish we would have seen more of them. They really only make maybe two small appearances in this entire book. And the intro to the character for the next book wasn’t as seamless as it has been in past books. But I did love how Gigi took on her own name after losing her mother and it isn’t as cookie-cutter with her name being a powerful, double-meaning name, though her birth name was still Clarity. But also there’s a MASSIVE hook at the end that also makes you need the next book as soon as possible!
I was intrigued by the snippet at the end of Witching for Joy! But, this book didn't just exceed my expectations.... It blew them out of the water.
Gigi's life took a sharp turn when she was a teenager. In one day, her mother disappeared and her best friend, Sebastian was taken in for questioning and fled the small town they lived in. Gigi marries her charming boyfriend, James. But, as she grows older, she realizs that he was only after her for one thing--her inheritance. After kicking her abusive ex to the curb, Gigi has finally seemed to get her life going in the right direction. Until she gets a cryptic message from beyond the grave, while cleaning out her closet to help her best friend Skyler start his boutique. The message leads her on a path to find the truth about her mom's disappearance and her past.
I loved this book. Gigi's story is heart-warming and inspiring. I loved how she took charge of her life, with a little help from her friends. Ms. Chase always writes friendships that are #goals and Gigi's relationship with her neighbor Skyler and her coven are beautiful! I loved how they built each other up and created solutions that makes everyone's life better, which has been a hallmark of this series.
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
All of these books are awesome! Gigi has to dredge up her past to make sure she has a future. But she has Hope, Joy, Grace and her other friend Skyler, along with old friend Sebastian to figure it all out. These books always make me feel happy
This is Gigi's story. Gigi is my second favorite. She's funny and fun and I'm glad she got a book. She bumps into an old Flame Sebastian. I like this one as you have a colorful character (Gigi) and a slightly weaker character (Seb) although they compliment each other perfectly and are so good together. I like Gigi's BFF and I can imagine them getting into all sorts of trouble. Gigi's ex husband deserves everything that happens to him. This one is darker then the others.
In this #PWF series full of midlife characters, Gigi is one of the women who joined the small coven in Premonition Pointe after she escaped an abusive marriage and became friends with Grace and the others. In this novel we find out about her past through an old friend and old ghosts from the past turn up. There’s a full back story and mystery, romance and lots of humour.
What's Not to Love About Paranormal Women's Fiction?
Witching for Clarity, book 4 in Deanna Chase's Premonition Pointe series, is part of a new sub-genre of Paranormal Romance, dubbed, Paranormal Women's Fiction. Paranormal Women's Fiction is written for "Women of a Certain Age" and involves romance with characters who are no longer starry -eyed twenty something's. Rather they are women who might believe happily ever after has passed them by. Deanna Chase and Premonition Pointe are a wonderful addition to this type of fiction. And with Witching for Clarity, Deanna once again proves she is a Master at writing for this audience. For example, (spoiler alert), there is a scene in the beginning of this novel where the main character is preparing for a date and decides to try some yoga to maybe work off a few pounds in order to fit into clothes that have obviously " been shrunk in the dryer". The laugh out loud events that occur after that are something I know I am not the only over 40 reader can relate to. The romance and sex is just as hot as you read in other romance novels, but its heat is more like a slow steady burn then a bonfire! Again, I am sure women of a certain age might relate to this better. Also who of our age wouldn't welcome magical creams and potions that remove cellulite or wrinkles before that all important function? Again, I love how through Deanna's excellent use of the written word, I have come to think of Premonition Pointe as real and truly believe that Deanna, through the strength of her masterful word-craft, can magically transport me to a coven meeting on a beachside driftwood log, far from my rainy Missouri home. As always, I found myself unable to put this book down, reading late into the night and annoying my husband and two dogs with my giggles after midnight! I can't help it! The witches of Premonition Pointe are just so easy to relate to. You can't help but wish you could join them on that beach, sipping wine, watching the stars, lulled by the ocean sounds, while discussing the magic of life and love. Come join me oat Deanna Chase's Premonition Pointe! You too may wish you never had to return to real world!
Actual rating: 2.5 stars. No rounding up to a 3 this time, because the issues that left me feeling so disappointed (see next paragraph) made it impossible for me to do so.
My main problem was that I could see those Big Reveals coming from a mile away. After a certain character and a few seemingly minor details were introduced to the story, I knew where things were headed. I hoped I was wrong because it seemed too simple a solution, and I was greatly disappointed to see I was correct. That (alone) dropped 1.5 stars off what otherwise would likely have been another 4 star rated book in this series.
Another thing that bothered me (a bit) was the clichéd villains. Once character joined the story, I quickly realized that character would be the stereotypical miscreant who says and does all the things one would expect such a character to say and do--so no big surprises there. This did not affect my rating, but it would have been nice to see something completely unexpected thrown into the mix.
That's not to say I didn't enjoy the story overall, because I did. It was nice to learn more about Gigi and Sebastian's past; not to mention slowly discovering what, exactly, happened to Gigi's mother all those years ago. I had the What down (as I'm sure most readers did); I just couldn't come up with any scenario that seemed a likely explanation for the How and Why of it all.
That ending, though--that was an excellent teaser for the plot of the next book, and my mind was instantly reeling with the possibilities it presented. I can't wait to see what happens next in Premonition Pointe!
Clarity "Gigi" Martin was finally happy. After divorcing her abusive husband and using money from a family trust to buy the haunted house in Premonition Point, Gigi found herself invited into the local coven with fellow witches Grace, Hope, and Joy. She loved her quirky ghosts, the Hanigan Sisters, and appreciated their fierce protection of her. She couldn't have been more shocked to find her childhood best friend, Sebastian, show up in her little town.
Working closely with her neighbor and new bestie, Skylar, Gigi starts to feel more confident in her abilities to create magic herbal skin care and agrees to go into business with him.
Still wondering what happend to her mother 23 years earlier, strange messages from a ghost cause her to believe her best friend knew more than he admitted about the day her mother disappeared. The cryptic message stated that someone from her past held the key to her mother's disappearence. Still fighting the ever-present attraction to her best friend, can Gigi trust Sebastian to help her get to the bottom of the mystery of her mother's disapearance? Does her strange reaction to the new girl in town, her best friend Sky's new assistant, have anything to do with her past?
Another great entry in the Premonition Pointe anthology. Love learning more about these women in each of the books. Love that the protagonists are women who have experience many ups and downs in life, and have come out stronger on the other side. Can't wait to learn more about the witches of Premonition Pointe and Mayor Iris Hartsen in Witching for Moxie!
Witching for Clarity by Deanna Chase is the 4th novel in the Premonition Pointe series. It can be read as a standalone for those new to the series, but I recommend reading the series in order. This will allow you to get to know each of the coven members. Clarity “Gigi” Martin has been divorced nine months from her abusive ex-husband, James. She is ready to move forward with her life with help from her friends who are also members of her coven. Gigi is lucky to have Skylar in her life. He is her best friend who lives with his husband next door. There are some delightful characters in this book. Skylar is a hoot and adds humor to this intense story. Witching for Clarity has Deanna Chase’s trademark writing which makes the story easy to read. The story moves along at a quick pace. There is action and unexpected twists as Gigi searches for answers regarding the disappearance of her mother. I like how the story ended and we get a glimpse of what to expect in Witching for Moxie. This story does contain foul language (too much of it for my taste), several references to male anatomy, and intimate situations. Witching for Clarity is a titillating tale with mystery, intrigue, sparks, magic, family, humor, and friendship.
Loved it The 4th book in the Premonition Pointe and it was absolutely brilliant!! I say this every time but I don't know how Deanna Chase does it! Each one of her books that I read I find myself reading until I can't read anymore....her style of writing pulls you into the story and keeps you mesmerized! Clarity (Gigi, which she goes by) has a unique story. Her mother went missing over 20 years ago and the last person to see her was Sebastian....but he is innocent of any wrong doing. Clarity moves to Premonition Point to start over when she buys a haunted house...doesn't bother her. She makes friends, who are witches, and they become besties! Clarity has a past and it is coming back to haunt her....will she find out what happens to her mother? Will her past get the best of her? If you love paranormal books with witches then you will love this series. I highly recommend this and all of Deanna's books. You will become mesmerized in between the pages of Deanna's books and you will be wishing you live there! I know I do! Run to your nearest bookstore or computer and get this series. If you have Kindle Unlimited then you can read them for free....go on now RUN!! You won't regret it
It's been a while since I spent time in Premonition Pointe and it was fun to be back. We had a little witchiness, an encounter or two with the resident ghosts, and an investigation into a long-ago disappearance.
Gigi and Sebastian are...complicated. Between her mother's disappearance years ago and the relationship she was in at the time (the dude she then married who was NOT a good persona at all), they hadn't seen each other in years. Seeing as how Sebastian was the last to see her mother alive and the court of public opinion can be brutal, their reunion was a little rough.
BUT...Sebastian was there for Gigi when she needed him. They might have drifted apart, but there were still a few embers flickering between them. And the more time they spent together the more those embers flared back to life. (Okay, actually, they were both all WHOA and YEAH when they met again, but they had to get their heads in line with their bodies and hearts before they could WHOA and YEAH together.)
A little danger, a stalker-ish ex, a visit to the past, new friends, old friends, and a town that has their back. Witches, man. I like them.
Another very good book in this series. I wan't too sure about that in the beginning but I got hooked at about 30%. A great mystery and good characters. Gigi finds out who really cares about her and has her back, no matter what. Gigi also discovers the truth about her mother's disappearance.
I really enjoyed this book.
Amazon synopsis: Clarity “Gigi” Martin moved to Premonition Pointe for a fresh start. And that’s exactly what she got when she found her perfect haunted house on the seaside and a group of witches who welcomed her into their fold. It’s not easy starting over at forty-one, but she’s determined to do it on her own terms with her painful past left firmly behind her… until Sebastian Knight walks back into her life. Sebastian was the one person she’d ever trusted, but now it looks like he’s the one who has been keeping secrets. After a ghost leaves a cryptic message for Gigi, she’s determined to find the truth once and for all even if it means opening a Pandora’s box of trouble.
When nothing is as it seems, Gigi needs to learn who to trust, or history is doomed to repeat itself.
Gigi Martin is having a perfect life in Premonition Pointe, until the memory from the past that has been burried came to the surface. A few years ago her mother suddenly gone missing when Gigi was a teenager. The last person who saw her mother was Sebastian, Gigi's old friend. Now that Sebastian come to her life again, she kept telling to herself that he has the answer. It took time for her to trust him again.
I like the connection between Gigi and her haunted house especially with the Hannigan Sisters who always try to protect her and also Gigi's relationship with her new bestie, Skyler. I wish the book had more detail such as how did Gigi got the misfortune, because there's a few times she's being clumsy and acidentally hurt herself. At first I thought it came from the bad spirit in the house. I think it'll be better if the writer elaborate more about it. I also adore Sebastian who has pure love to Gigi, and of course the coven gals who always be there to rescue each other.
At this point I was thinking to end the Premonition Pointe series and read other book, but I was wrong. I should read the fifth book because I'm frickin curious who curse the town this time.
Gigi and Sebastian!! I seriously need a fan after reading this story, talk about hot stuff!!!
But it was so much more than that, I mean yes Sebastian was sexily distracting and not just for Gigi lol I mean the thought of him shirtless left me staring off into space more than once...lol See there I got distracted again I was saying there was so much more to this story than just Sebastian shirtless... the story behind Gigi’s moms disappearance was full of unexpected twists and turns and even though there was betrayal, in the end once it was all done and dusted, with more kidnappings, needles, shootings, crazy ex’s and what not there was more than just a HEA there was new family and a true sense of amazing friendship and sisterhood, I really loved this story and the whole series but especially the town it’s a wonderful place to visit with magical characters who make their way into your heart so you never forget them.
Premonition Pointe seems to be the new gathering place for midlife witches. If not, then it should be! I am so invested in this series and yes it is rude beyond compare to beg for another installment before this is released properly, I will say, I enjoyed this one so much I will be excitedly waiting for the next. The characters are amazingly written, they are strong, sometimes hilarious and sometimes determined but at all times, they show a strong set of morals and values. I don’t do spoilers so I can’t say a specific thing I want to, dang it. I will say, one of the characters that has been slowly emerging lately, has shown his colorful side. Hah! See, no spoilers! This has something for everyone, mysterious intrigue, drama, with a side of the paranormal. I am an unpaid ARC reader and I will be purchasing for my collection. It truly is a joy to read books written by Deanna Chase.
Gigi/Clarity lost her mother when she was barely an adult. One day she was there, the next she wasn't, her best friend Sebastian was a suspect, and Gigi never got any answers. Gigi then began her life with her husband, which as we know, didn't end well, as he was only after her money.
Now, a divorcee in her 40s, Gigi is living life how she wishes, and has some great new friends, in Premonition Pointe. When a ghost suddenly sends a message regarding Gigi's mothers disappearance, she can't let it go. And her first port of call? Sebastian. Sebastian, who always loved her, and never stopped hoping that one day they'd be together.
I liked this one! An emotional story, with some twists. I loved seeing the coven members from the previous books, and enjoyed both Gigi and Sebastian's characters. Skyler, her neighbour and friend, was such fun, and the teaser at the end? I'm intrigued! Can't wait for the next one!
Clarity “Gigi” Martin moved to Premonition Pointe for a fresh start. Gigi had married her boyfriend, James, but he was after her money and not love. So she ended the marriage and things look like they might be working out at last. Then a mysterious message points her in a direction to perhaps find out some things about her past and her mother’s disappearance. When Sebastian Knight comes back into her life again, will they finally discover that they were destined to be together? Or will secrets force them apart?
As always, this author’s book will draw you in to experience a wonderful story line that makes it difficult to walk away until the last page is turned. Don’t miss this one! The characters are charming and you won’t sleep well if you don’t find out what’s going on!
OH MY G! These books are just the best. I loved getting to know Gigi. She has been on my mind since we first seen her. I am so glad she has a found a place in these books. Her story was a great one. Her and Sebastian's relationship was a nice friends to lovers romance. I felt so bad for Gigi and her past. After all this time it was time for closer but at what cost? She has a good coven and friends in Premonition Pointe. Gigi grows through out the book and has really become a more confided person. Can we also get a shot out for Skylar. He is everything a best friend should be. I adore him. I think his little twist and turns add a little extra interest to the book. I am so happy this series is continuing. Stay in side. Out side is over rated and has to much pollen. Pick this book up for nice read.
I’m a big fan of this author, and I think this is my favorite of her series. The characters seem very real to me, and like people I would enjoy knowing. The plots are intriguing, and the friendships are lovely. I also find that a lot of different groups of people are included here, which for me, makes the setting more realistic and friendly.
In this book, Gigi has escaped an abusive husband and made good friends, but is still haunted (not literally, as the ghosts in her house are friendly and protective) by the mysterious and shocking disappearance of her mother many years past. Added to that, her best friend was the top suspect as he had been the last to see Gigi’s mother. Now Gigi is hearing faint ghost whispers that make her doubt her friend again.
Wow book 4 in the series. I love this series and this one is fantastic. It has everything, mystery, suspense and lots of layers. Heroine is Gigi. Hero is Sebastian.
Gigi gets a sign from a spirit that the answer she’s looking for to explain what happened to her mother . Someone from her past holds the answer. Gigi thinks of a name but it’s the wrong answer. Gigi and Sebastian come close and they finally tell each other how they feel. A bad Apple , from Gigi past , her ex shows up at Premonition Pointe and you know he’s up to something. Gigi finds out she has a half sister. Another thing I like about Deanna Chase stories is there is a M/M couple , in this one you see a F/F couple also
Gabra Zackman performance is fantastic. Her voice is smooth, and strong , she will draw you into the story
I was expecting the same great book I normally expect from this series, but this one was slightly different in a great way. Gigi is trying to leave her ex and her mom’s death in the past, but unfortunately, they both rear their ugly heads in this latest book in the series. Not only is this filled with the great heart-warming romance you’ve come to expect, but there’s suspense, drama, and a mystery to add to the great plot. I loved this book the most out of all of them so far, and I am really looking forward to the next one with that shocking glimpse. This author always delivers a great book, and this one is no exception. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
Unlike the previous two books, this story actually seemed to follow a very personal issue that our FMC Clarity/Gigi had rather than some illegal issue that someone around them happened to stumble upon and involve themselves. I found the ending rather cheesy with magic suddenly coming in to save the day, but I did enjoy how Gigi's relationship with Sebastian was developed more compared to the previous books. I was content with how Gigi's happy ending wrapped up, but many of the villain characters introduced were really flat and barely developed before they were defeated.
An okay read, and I'm really only continuing with the series out of curiosity to see who the other FMC's end up with and how.
They'd been as close as two people could be in love and friendship--once. A tragedy separated them. A bad marriage with another man that she ended. The tragedy was something she could never forget. Nor could she forget what they'd felt. Is it possible to find their feelings again?
She had her coven of witches and friends, an unforgettable and famous designer who was also her BFF, and the ghosts who protect her new home on the beach. Is there another entity giving clues to her past? A past that still haunts her present?
New friends, old enemies, new enemies, romance, a past, and the future. A story that will keep you turning the pages and wondered who and why. Now I have to wonder if this isn't my favorite in the series.
I finished this book because I like Deanna Chase's work. I kept waiting for it to get better, and it didn't.
First off, this is second chance romance. Since I read romance to get to know new people (the characters), second chance is always a little disappointing to me because the characters already know each other. The authors tend not to do as much character building.
Secondly, I had a tough time with the realism of some of the plot points. I can accept magic, but not people collectively acting weird or the law being different for no reason.
Sebastian is fine as a love interest. There is no angst in their relationship after a small argument in the beginning. My problems were all with Gigi's mother's disappearance and the surrounding events.
I absolutely adore the Premonition Point series! I really thought I had this story figured out. I kept reading, enjoying the mental pictures of Sebastian and laughing at the antics of Skylar! Intrigue was there from the start and kept getting more and more intense.... until what I figured out was going to happen did.... and then didn't! There was so much more behind the intrigue plot line of this book that I sat open mouthed And breathing hard through the lady 3 chapters!!! I always say I wish I had a man in my life like the boyfriends in Ms Chase's books..... but now I am more upset that I don't have any one in my life like the women in the coven! And Skylar, of course! Excellent read!!
Ok, this book was good. I kind of had a hard time getting into it at first and I missed seeing more of the coven but it grew on me. I love Gigi and Skylar. Sebastian is perfect for her so that was nice. I feel like some of the best of this book is leading up to the next. I really liked the mayor and her new neighbor. All in all though, this was a good book and I really like seeing Gigi prevail and James permanently be down. It was nice to see that Gigi came into her own power and how strong it is, even without her mother's ring. It would have been nice for her to have found out exactly what happened to her mother.
Gigi had recently divorced her husband and purchased a haunted house in Premonition Pointe. She was the newest member of the local coven. She is starting life over, investing in a new business proposition, dating, and trying to come to terms with her mothers disappearance from 20 years ago.
While shopping at an estate sale, she comes across a ring that once belonged to her mother. Her birth date is inscribed inside. Suddenly, bad things start happening. Mystery surrounds it all. Leap into this adventure with Gigi as she discovers new aspects of her life. You won't regret it!
