Stranded by a snowstorm in Maybridge Falls, the Marquess of Merriweather runs into the last person in the world he wants to see—Lady Eve Bailey. Because the last time he saw the auburn-haired beauty, she stole his heart and then crushed it into a thousand pieces. Lucky for him, he’s over her. It doesn’t matter that she’s more beautiful now, or that gazing into her eyes makes him forget the rest of the world. Let’s not even mention those cinnamon flavored kisses… He’s over her. Really.
A Lady who’s suffered enough… With the loss of their mother, and their father’s utter despair, All Lady Eve Bailey and her sisters want is to know happiness again. Unfortunately for Eve, instead of finding a little joy and laughter when Christmas rolls around, she finds Nicholas St. Hope, a flesh and blood reminder of rejection and lost love. A scrumptious reminder indeed… But she won’t fall for him this time! She’s older and wiser now.
So why is she baking him pies?
And why is she allowing him to remove her stockings?
Married to the same man for over 25 years, I am a mother to three children and two Miniature Wiener dogs.
After owning a business and experiencing considerable success, my husband and I got caught in the financial crisis and lost everything in 2008; our business, our home, even our car.
At this point, I put my B.A. in Poly Sci to use and took work as a waitress and bartender (Insert irony). Unwilling to give up on a professional life, I simultaneously went back to college and obtained a degree in Energy Management.
And then the energy market dropped off.
And then my dog died.
I can only be grateful for this series of unfortunate events, for, with nothing to lose and completely demoralized, I sat down and began to write the romance novels which had until then, existed only my imagination. After publishing over twenty novels now, with one having been nominated for RWA’s Distinguished ™RITA Award in 2019, I am happy to tell you that I have finally found my place in life.
Thank you so much for being a part of my journey!

MY MERRY MARQUESS is as sweet as sugar plums as two souls finally get their romantic Christmas Miracle with a touch of sugar, spice and sass! A wonderful read for chilly winter nights!

Will the past weight to much on them to offer them a second chance ...
Ah finally we get to know what past Eve and Nicholas share together. I can understand Eve’s ire, not once Nicholas did give a second thought before embarking in his journey, he did not contact her nor wait for a message. He just assumed and left. For a man in love, he was easily dismayed and not very trustful. Eve on her side tried with the meager means of a woman in this time to reach him. With no success or no result. So she had to let go of her fantasy dreams and face her family’s drama alone. Both tasted the bitterness of a first love unfulfilled, leaving them wary or jaded.
So when they meet again, there is more tasks for them than simply reigniting their relationship, love must be reawakened and trust has to be won again. Not an easy feat when life was proof of the fickleness of the soul.
Yet the lesson they have learned is also life is not meant to be spent alone. 4.5 stars for this enjoyable and moving tale of the vagaries of life and the attentions one’s must pay to those one’s care.
I was granted an advance copy by the author, here is my true and unbiased opinion.
Our final visit to this magical village with a very seasonal setting. All our sisters have fallen in love, but does Eve have more to her story with Nick? Have they some buried past and hidden longing that draws them together?
With a magical chemistry these two haven’t a hope of staying apart, get ready for not just the season of goodwill but the season of love.
I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review
My Merry Marquess, by Annabelle Anders is a splendid holiday read for all the historical romance readers out there. I found the romance story between Eve and Nicholas both touching and heart warming. I loved the story how it was the gentleman, Nicholas who was left wondering what made Eve leave when he thought all was well between the two. There was no need to have the woman heartbroken all the time. Truthfully Eve didn’t leave on purpose. I’m glad that the reader didn’t go through the hem haw of does he/she like or not. Keeping the love story simple and sweet is what really plays at the readers heart. In fact most readers like this change of direction in stories.it helps the book move a a faster pace. I enjoyed the merrymaking and love that was passed around. All in all this was a great holiday read. I voluntary reviewed this ARC after receiving a free gifted copy.
Be still my heart! I love second chance romances and with this author at the helm, it cannot get better!! The last of the series finds Lady Eve bumping into the last person she expected. Nicholas Bartholomew Ebenezer St. Hope, the Marquess of Merriweather (sorry could not resist! Love love that name!) in the magical village of Maybridge Falls. Her father had sent she and her sisters to stay at with their aunt, because he had been so melancholy and drinking since the passing of their mother.
Then she ran into Nick. He'd said he loved her when they met in London, but he'd broken her heart when she had left to take their ailing mother to the country to help her illness. He'd never answered any of her letters.
Nick had been heartbroken when Eve had left abruptly and not contacted him. Then her she was after a year
Eve and Nick had both loved each other so much, but could they get past their misunderstandings and bring back that cherished love? I adored this tale. It was simply perfect.... apple pie perfect!
My Merry Marquess is the third book in the Wallflower’s Christmas Wish series, and it’s a great final book in the series. If you have read the prior two books in the series, you’re going to want to read this one to see what happens with our final couple.
This is another sweet and quick read, one that easily sucks you in and has you eager to power through the pages. If you’ve been curious about the characters in the prior books, you’ll be happy to get the answers for how their story played out. There are some scenes that are from the prior books, but this one has plenty of new content in it to keep you satisfied throughout.
Without a doubt, it’s a must read for those who have enjoyed the prior books.
Most enjoyable second chance at love story of Lady Eve Bailey and Lord Nicholas St. Hope. A terrible misunderstanding tore them apart, but meeting in Maybridge Falls has allowed them to perhaps reunite. This is the third book in the series, and although could be read as a standalone, it completes the series perfectly. Eve and Nick are great characters, both hurting and needing each other. Loved how each sister had her own signature smell that draws each of their men in (gingerbread, sugar cookie and apple pie spice). Highly recommend this entire series of three novellas.
The Christmas Spirit has been written with love, romance, hope and new beginnings by our authors.
The third book in this series is, Eve and Nicholas’s story.
Second chances are not often found yet finding it at Christmas makes it extra special. After having her season cut short because of her mother’s illness, and not hearing from the man she loves, makes life hard for Eve, not knowing Nick could not find her and broken-hearted he heads off to Europe.
The chance meeting in Maybridge Falls at Christmas changes there lives completely.
Beautiful read and I would highly recommend reading all in the series.
Huge bonus at the end of this book with an epilogue that will make you smile 😃 and that feel good feeling.
All the people in the three books seems to speak to you and that would be thanks to the authors.
4.5 Stars Stranded by a snowstorm in Maybridge Falls, the Marquis of Merriweather runs into the last person in the world he wants to see—Lady Eve Bailey. Unfortunately for Eve, instead of finding a little joy and laughter when Christmas rolls around, she finds Nicholas St. Hope, a flesh and blood reminder of rejection and lost love. This is the third & final story in this lovely seasonal trilogy, whilst it could be read on its own the three books are wonderfully intertwined so could be read in any order & the two authors have done a brilliant job of not giving away many spoilers. A delightful, entertaining second chance romance which, flowed effortlessly, the characters are well portrayed & have depth. It left me with a feel good factor & the wonderful epilogue was the icing on the cake. However I’ll never think of apple pie in the same way again!! My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
Annabelle delivered such a delightful Christmas story..
This one is a second chance romance which is usually not one of my favorites but man this one was delightful cheerful and splendidly done.. So much romance happiness cheerfulness.. the characters are absolutely adorable and I fell in love with them right away.. Eve and Nicholas just had that pull about them once you started reading it you wanted to know if they would give it a go or not.. I can't say enough about this book other then try it out for yourself and you won't be disappointed..
I received this an arc for an honest review and these are purely my thoughts
The third & final book in the Wallflower's Christmas wish can be read as a standalone but reading all three books in order will entertain you plus you will follow each sister's road to happiness. Annabelle Anders finished this series off with a bang!
Lady Eve Bailey is the eldest of three daughters of the Earl of Everly. The sisters had lost their mother a year ago & their father sent them away to live with their aunt, as he was so broken hearted over the loss of his wife & was becoming a wastrel. Eve had been sad & withdrawn the last two years, but it was not only for the sickness & loss of her mother. She had been in London & had fallen in love with a gentleman who professed his love for her & wanted a future with her. Then her mother's cough became worse & her father moved them to the country before she had a change to explain & say goodbye to Nicholas and he never answered her letters.
Nicholas Bartholomew Ebenezer St. Hope, the handsome Marquess of Merriweather, has never forgotten the lady he fell in love with a lifetime ago. When he went to call on her & to speak to her father about courting Eve; she had left town. Nick was crushed; how could she leave with no explanation or was she insincere in her pledge of love. He decided he needed to get out of London, so he & his friends traveled for a few months to France & Belgium to help him forget being betrayed by Eve. Now he finds himself & his friends stranded, on their way to a widow's debauched house party, in a small country town due to a horrendous snowstorm.
It is a small town & who should Nick come face to face with but none other than Eve. They are both shocked to see the other one, neither can deny the love they have tried to forget & it is such a sweet & entertaining journey with loving family & friends that bring a wonderful warmth to the story. This is a must-read series if you love holiday books - there are misunderstandings, kindness, love, romance & HEAs with no dark drama.
I was gifted the Advanced Reader Copy of this book & all opinions are my own & have been voluntarily given.
(Sigh) What a moving romance. Given I have read the previous two books this one made a lot of sense to me. Why Eve was always so melancholy. It wasn't until her younger sisters pointed out that the grief of their mother's death had emotionally separated them. Then and there, Eve decided to rejoin the living and not neglect her sisters anymore. The three united together to be there for each other from now on. Then Eve ran into her past. Nicholas, the Marquess of Merriweather ran into her. Both were stunned but then they retreated to their indifferent stances. Eve felt Nicholas had let her down and never truly loved her. Nicholas felt that Eve abandoned him in London during her first season. But oh, how there were miscommunications. Big ones. Once Nicholas realized he was such a jackanape (A conceited, insolent, presumptuous fellow) and he felt so bad that he had really, really hurt Eve. He still loved her and was going to win her back. But unfortunately, he kept blundering things up. Eve was afraid of trusting Nicholas. But her overwhelming love for him propelled her not to resist him. It took a while but eventually they found their way back to each other. Even though he declared his love, he still did not propose. She however allowed his attentions. This book had included the overlapping timelines of Eve's two younger sisters Holly and Noelle and their romances with Nick's best friends Dash and Jack. How wonderful things were working out for Eve and Nick. Then one morning without warning he departed. But he told her sisters to assure Eve that he would return posthaste. Doubt started creeping into her mind and heart but she tried to push it away. I loved how this book ended and the extended special epilogue which takes place one year later. I loved this swoon worthy story. All the three sisters’ stories loose ends were tied up so beautifully and lovingly. I do recommend it. You will not be disappointed.
Starring Lady Eve Bailey and Nicolas “Nick” Bartholomew Ebenezer St. Hope , Marquess of Merriweather.
Tropes: Stranded at an inn Second Chance
Apple Pie kisses... and letters ... and a Merry Marquess... oh my!! Nick and Eve are as delicious as the pies she makes. These two fell in love fast during Eve’s first season, but a misunderstanding has kept them a part. But thank goodness fate and a snowstorm have conspired to throw them in each other’s paths again. My heart, seriously, hurt for Nick and Eve... but was so happy that they didn’t repeat past mistakes on their road to HEA. Out of the three couples in the series, I cheered for them the loudest. I love second chance stories and this one is simply wonderful.
This story (#3) is intertwined with the other two books in the Wallflower’s Christmas Wish series... but could also be read as a stand alone. There are a few repeat scenes from the first book included in this story. You’ll definitely be curious to know about the other two Bailey sisters and Dash’s friends. The other two novellas are: My Dashing Duke by Tammy Andresen and Annabelle Anders (#1)... and My Yuletide Earl (#2). I fave all the books in the series 5 stars... loved them all!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. I voluntarily review it and the comments are 100% my own.
My star rating: 5 stars Ugly cried AF. Major book hangover. Characters and storyline were freaken amazeballs. Made me wanna hug the authors for writing a book that gave me all the feels!! Will definitely be adding this story to my Annual Holiday Romance Book re-reads!!
Second chance romances are my favorite and this author delivers a delicious story that will put you in the Christmas spirit!
Eve had a rough year, she had lost her mother and watched her father diminish to a drunken depressant. To boot, he has shipped her and her two sisters to their aunt's for an undisclosed time period. Were they there temporarily or until they were married off? During this time she's trying to heal her heart over a lost love and it had been over a year since she'd heard from him, not to mention that he'd not answered a single letter she wrote. Thankfully fate had dealt her a boon, he was currently staying at the village inn and with the snow continuing to fall, he'd be here for days. Maybe she'd get some answers after all.
Nick was so distraught over losing Eve that he traveled abroad to France hoping to mend his heart. She left without a word! And to boot, he and two of his friends were traveling to a Christmas party when they got snowed-in and who does he see, but Eve!!! Can he try to win her back? Does she still care for him? Is he heading toward another heartbreak? You'll have to read the story to find out!!
I loved this 3-book series and it certainly puts you in the mindset for the holidays. They're stories of hope, healing, and looking forward to the future with the past upon their shoulders. I was gifted with an ARC and was more than happy to post a review. I highly recommend the series!!
This is the third installment, and although it can stand alone, you should start at the beginning to enjoy the full story. I love Christmas stories generally and this is a pretty good one. The Christmas themed details are especially fun.
Eve is the oldest Bailey sister, and has watched as her two younger sisters find love with two lords stranded by snow in their small town. They were on their way to a house party with a third friend, and sisters Noelle and Holly completely distracted them from their mission. The third lord, Nicholas, just happens to be the marquess who declared his love for Eve during her past shortened season, and then disappeared, breaking her heart.
Can Eve and Nicholas reconcile and complete the happily ever after for the Bailey sisters? Well, of course, but the ride is bumpy.
The entire series is charming and each book is a single sitting read. The books have more depth than you would expect in this length of novel/story, and the detail is great. They are not clean, although this one has the least sex in it. This installment wraps up all of the threads of the first two neatly.
I received ARCs from the authors and enjoyed this series very much, especially the first book and this one.
A wonderful second chance book by Annabelle Anders. Nicholas St. Hope has been stranded by a snowstorm. Who wouldn've thought he'd run into the woman he had loved and whom he thinks left him. He told her he loved her. But when he went to ask for her hand, she and her whole family had left. Why would she leave without letting him know or even leave him a note? So he left the country as well. Now he's back and he certainly never thought he'd see her again. Lady Eve Bailey not only lost her mother, but she lost the man she loved as well. When her mother got really sick, her father packed them all up and moved them back to the country. She didn't have time to see Nicholas, the man she loves before they had to leave but she did leave him a letter. She also sent him a bunch more letters needing his support. She thought he didn't really love her since he never responded to her letters. Now her mother is gone, her father is lost without her and has shipped Eve and her sisters off to live with their aunt. She never thought she'd run into Nicholas here of all places. Will they overcome the misunderstandings to renew the love they still have for each other? This is a delightful holiday romance that was given to me as an ARC. This is my honest and true review.
Eve is miserable! She's lost her mother the year before and her father has sent her and her two sisters to live with their aunt Tannenbaum only a week ago. As she and her Aunt are delivering a pie to Mr. Kringle, her aunt notices a gentleman and calls to him in case he needs help finding something. As he approaches and introduces himself, Eve turns and cannot believe her eyes. No it can't be him! For 18 months she has wondered what happened to him and now here he is in the flesh! Nick seems to be having the same reaction! Of all the places to be stuck in with a winter storm all around them! Well at least one good thing about it, he found out she isn't married either. After 18 months, maybe he will find out why she ran! Eve is thinking the same way, why did he go away and never answer any of her letters? She explained why she had to leave so suddenly and even how her mother had gotten sick and then passed away! Will these two be able to put their hurt behind them long enough to find out what went wrong? Or are they both to stubborn? Only one way to find out, read this great story by Annabelle Anders. You will especially love the series epilogue at the end!
WOW!! I loved this book, I loved all three books. This book is part of the Wallflowers Christmas Wish series which is about three sisters finding the perfect man and love for them. This book is about Eve, the eldest sister and Nick who Eve meet and fell in love during her ½ of season she spent in London. There were misunderstandings which tore them apart, which I will save for you when you read this wonderful book. There was never a doubt in my mind that Eve and Nick loved each other. I am not sure which book I liked the best because they were all wonderful. I am not sure which couple I like the best because they were all great together. I would definitely recommend reading all three books in the order which they are written, and I would also recommend you sit back and enjoy them like I did. They made me happy, so happy that as I am writing this review, I have a smile on my face. Annabelle Anders and Tammy Andresen are terrific authors these books felt like one person wrote them. Go get all of them as soon as possible. I also loved the Full Series Bonus Epilogue. I received an ARC copy of this book for my honest opinion, which is they are all WONDERFUL!
This is the third book in the Wallflowers Christmas Wishes series and is a perfect ending to the story of 3 sisters. In this book the olderst sister, Eve, meets a Marquess, Nick< who she had met before in London. At the time, an engagement was imminent (or so she thought). When her mother got sick and they had to leave town she wrote a letter explaining her absence but never heard back. Not only was her mother dying but her almost betrothed had seemed to abandon her. After finding her missing in London, Nick decides to flee to Europe to nurse his wounds. While she had written ne never opened his mail so didn't know what had happened. Now, 2 years later, snowed in at a small town Inn with his 2 friends, Nick finds his former love. Can they rekindle their love and overcome all the miscommunications between them? When the Happily Ever After comes it is worth the wait. This book included an additional epilogue for the 3 book series that just makes the whole series' end a perfect Christmas present for the reader. I received an advanced copy of this book in return for an honest review.
Come eat, drink and be merry... mixed it altogether with a heavy hand on the spice, and wrapped it in A bit of mischief in My Merry Marquess! Annabelle Anders weaves a Christmas story from beginning to end with threads of falling in love with that special someone that are the gifts of the season! With a misunderstanding in Nicholas and Eve's past it's a heart-stoping moment when they come face to face in the small village of Maybridge Falls. Each are unsure of the other but both can not deny that their passion for one another has died. As Eve finds herself falling for her Merry Marquess all over again in this story that is beautifully written, as each and every character came to life and you find yourself drawn into their story, remarkable emotions, a good plot and as their story unfolds with all the drama, hope, uncertainties and the magical magic of the Christmas Season! It was nice bring all the characters together for a Very Merry Christmas!
A story of misunderstandings and second chances, Lady Eve Bailey encounters the last person she ever wants to see again in snowy Maybridge Falls. The Marquess of Merriweather broke her heart and she vows never to give him a chance to do it again but Eve does not take her meddling aunt into account. Having had his heart crushed by Eve's disappearance from the London scene, Nicholas took off for Europe to lick his wounds, ignoring any contact from home. It is only after an enlightening conversation that Eve begins to wonder whether he ever received her letters. Stubborn pride got in the way of their love, but thrown together in the snowbound village, with a cook that habitually destroys their dinner, Eve and Nicholas finally rediscover one another. The last book in a delightful and entertaining series, one is left with a smile and a feeling of good cheer. I received a copy of this novel as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
My Merry Marquess, by Annabelle Anders, the third and final book of the Wallflowers Christmas series, is the tale of the oldest Bailey sister, Lady Eve and Nicholas St. Hope, the Marquess of Merriweather. This book may be read as a stand-alone, but as it takes place concurrently with the first two books, it is best read as part of the series and in order. Young and in love Merriweather was going to propose to Lady Eve during her first London season, but she disappeared. Feeling hurt, he runs away to the continent to mend his broken heart. Lady Eve is angry to find the Marquess stranded in the village, when she is starting to put her life back together. Why now, when he didn’t follow her when she was forced to leave town when her mother became ill, and when he wouldn’t answer her letters. Things look a little brighter at Christmastide and problems have a way of working themselves out, especially with cinnamon kisses! This was a great conclusion to the series.
I enjoyed this romance story with Lady Eve Bailey and Nicholas St. Hope the Marquess of Merrweather.
Lady Eve Bailey is staying at her aunt house with her sisters after her mother's death. One day while walking with her aunt. They meets a man that she knew from the pasted.
Nicholas St. Hope the Marquess of Merriweather is stuck in a small village during a snowstorm with his friends. One morning while looking for his friend he see two ladies walk. When one calls him over to talk he notices that the other lady is a lover for his past.
This was a cute Christmas time story of how wishes can come true. This story is the three in three Wallflower's Christmas wish stories. It can be read on it only or together with the others. I know it was a fun to read and had me laughing a lot with what the characters do. This is also a second chance at love story.
I received a complimentary copy from the author. This is my honest unbiased opinion.
steamy romance; Eve is the oldest and the fiery redhead sister of the 3 Bailey sisters. Nick is the Marquess of Merriweather. Eve and Nick have a history. A lot of communication, a family event, and failure to read letters contribute mightily to the breakup. When Eve and her aunt Lady Winifred Tannenbaum, meet Nick outside of the bakery. Eve accidentally decorates her gown and cape with her pie. There is a confrontation in the inn where Eve insists that Nick read her letters to him. Nick, dimwit that he is, had overlooked the need to read them. Once Eve and Nick clear up their misunderstanding, they are the 3rd couple to marry. The 3rid book contains the wrap up of all 3 marriages at a family Christmas party that Noelle and Dash host. Noelle and Dash have a son. Holly and Jack have daughter. Eve is still expecting her child with Nick.
This is such a wonderful series which includes 3 men who get stranded in a small village during a snowstorm and the 3 sisters who end up being their soulmates. This is Eve and Nick's story and their second chance at love.
I loved both their characters, she's such a sweetheart and he's such an honourable man who will do anything to win back her love but due to a misunderstanding, he's really got to work at it!! Learning to trust is a big part of this story.
Well written, loved the epilogue as well which put a big smile on my face:) Both Annabelle Anders and Tammy Andresen have done a fabulous job collaborating this series. Do be advised, though, that reading these books may add calories to your hips due to the baking that goes on! lol
I was given an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I enjoyed reading this book! It was well written and the characters are realistic. It was so hard to put down. Eve and Nicholas are just perfect for each other. They meet when Eve was having her season. Her mother gets sick and they decide to leave London and she doesn't get a chance to see him before they left. Nicholas believes that she didn't love him or want to marry him. So he leaves for the tour he had planned before he met her. Eighteen months later Eve is lving with her aunt in a small village. Nicholas along with his friends are stuck in the same village due to a snow storm. They end up running into each other. They have a lot to overcome in order to have a second chance at happiness.
This is the third book in series of three sisters and three gentlemen, set in the perfect Christmas village. I enjoyed this book much more than the first two because this couple had a history so their relationship is already established. It was a lovely story of misunderstanding and finding each other again. It was a lovely end to the series with some great surprises at the end. A must-read after reading the first two. All in all the series is a great set of quick fun reads even for those of us who skip the sex. The other thing I really enjoyed about the series was the play on words for the characters names. It brought a lovely sense of Christmas joy to the reads. I received this book as an ARC and freely give my review.
This is the third and final book in the series Wallflowers Christmas Wish Book by Tammy Andresen and Annabelle Anders. This book is written by Annabelle Anders. Lady Eve Bailey and Marquess of Merryweather, Nicholas St. Hope; can they find their way back to each other. Nick and 2 of his friends are stranded due to a snow storm and end up in the village the Bailey sisters currently reside in. Both are shocked at seeing the other....and both blame the other for their broken heart. Can they get past their hurt to listen to the reasons. Great book and great ending to the series. You don't need to read the other two books to read this one, but you should, makes the book richer. I received a free copy of this book for my honest opinion.
These books in this series are my first three of the author and they didn't disappoint.. I didn't expect to enjoy these short novels but I did.. they tell of heartwarming stories of family, hope, forgiveness, chances, healing, understanding, most of all forever love.. these books made me remember the joy and warmth of the coming Yuletide season, despite these hard and trying times.. they make me remember, that despite the times, hope and love would always remain.
Of the three, I love this last book.. I felt more the undying love and dedication of the hero.. and his gesture to prove it in the last chapter, was really great.
So overall, this is a good final book to this series with all the Christmas feels.
