Anya Bast is the author of numerous works of romantic fiction, mostly all paranormal and mostly all scorching hot. She lives in the country with her husband, daughter, eight cats, a dog, and an odd assortment of rescued animals.

She grew up in Minnesota and still favors the colder climates. After high school she moved to the southeast United States where she attended college. While in graduate school she sold her first book and decide to pursue her lifelong dream of writing instead of a career in psychology.

Somewhat reclusive by nature, she can be drawn out with a good bottle of red wine, classic movies, or good music. When she’s not writing, she can be found trying to grow organic vegetables, shopping in thrift stores for that perfect piece of clothing, or dreaming about travel to some faraway country.

She’s hard at work on a brand new series for Berkley Sensation right now, while winding up her national bestselling Elemental Witches quartet.

Witch Fury is the fourth and final installment in the Elemental Witches series by Anya Bast. Let me tell you, it was amazing! It was my favorite of the series.
If you haven't read the first three, that's okay. You won't have the background information on enemies and such, but it's not such a loss that you won't understand whats happening. I read book 2 first then 4(this one), and now I'm on book 3 and I can read along just fine. Mostly because each story is a new pair of main characters. But it would be best (like always) to read the series in order, because it's not a complete stand alone book. You'll get a good background on the two main groups of the series. Why they are why they are, and in previous books the characters have little parts to open up themselves for there main stories.

In Witch Fury, earth witch Theo has saved/kidnapped several kidnapped witches and a suspected warlock, Serafina from her first kidnapping by Stefan Faucheux, head of the Duskoff, the cabal of warlocks who pretty much wants world domination. But being kidnapped by Theo is better than being kidnapped by the cabal right?

Serafina had only recently learned about witches being real and her power as fire witch upon her kidnapping and must now rely on the coven, and the mysterious and brooding Theo, to teach her about her new life.
Theo isn't used to being very "conversational" or talkative period. But meeting Serfina, he finds himself feeling and doing things differently than he's use to. But he knows he shouldn't feel that way, only bad will come of it. What Serafina doesn't like is the mixed signals.
but worse things are happening. A demon has his sights on Serafina, and to attract the attention of a demon will never end good. Demons will not give up on their prey.

While it is the last book in the series, I'm glad Witch Fury was book 4. It is the best of the series and ends it just right. I really loved this series and cannot wait to read the next Anya Bast novel!

Maybe not 4 stars but higher than 3.5 as well... Because it's better than Witch Heart but I think I still liked Witch Blood more.

This is the concluding novel in a quartet that started off weak but ended up strong. I disliked the first novel, but I'm glad I continued reading as the world and plot lines expanded and grew. That really kept me reading the series.

A few things I enjoyed about this novel:

For once, the hero and heroine did not sleep with each other right away. In the last three books, less than a quarter of the way in, the two main characters are having sex, with obvious feelings for each other, but masking it as sexual tension. In this novel, however, Theo tries to hold out... This not only goes well with his personality and character actions in the past book, it makes it just slightly more believable.

While that was nice touch, it was weird to me that Theo would just slip--teasing and foreplaying with Sarafina--throughout the beginning of the book. It seemed to me that the author just added Theo's lapse in control to add in steamy foreplay scenes. So again, while it was nice that Bast delayed the sex and intimacy because of his personality, the execution of it was poorly tacked on.

I found this to be a fairly similar story to Mira and Jack's at least in the beginning: both women had no idea they were witches and were basically abducted by the Coven and placed under the protection of one male. What differentiated Witch Fire from Witch Fury was the fact that Sarafina was slightly more relatable. She struggled with her powers in the beginning. In fact, she sucked! It took weeks of practice to even get somewhere.

A big thing that drew me to this book was that it kept me guessing. There were a few plot twists and minor surprises that kept me intrigued throughout. The other three novels basically allowed the readers to comprehend what was happening. They didn't have as much of an element of surprise. This story held out a bit more on the plot which added to the suspense.

Sarafina was okay. There were moments where she made stupid decisions and said stupid things (or wouldn't shut up) but in general I found her to be fairly likable. I liked that she was her own person and tried to take things into her own hands. She didn't need any men to command her around. But that still lead to her stupid and impulsive decisions. I think my favorite heroine in the series has still been Isabelle.

I think the author did a great job at keeping the integrity of Theo. Obviously she created him and can change him to her liking, but based on his personality in the past books, she stayed close to that in this novel. She didn't magically change his personality to fit the new heroine; you could see his struggle between slipping to his elusive, stoicness, while opening up to Sarafina.

Last thing I liked: "Now we have you and your little dog, too" --great allusion to Wizard of Oz. I laughed.

Now onto the problematic parts:

This series has just gotten so repetitive... it is ALWAYS the guy protecting the girl then getting attached and being like "I must protect her! She is MINE!!!" While the plot picks up where it left off in the last novel, the premise is generally the same and it's getting old. Probably a good thing this series is ending here at 4. I think the author could have benefitted from picking a different archetype. If Ingrid hadn't died, it would have been great to see Ingrid as the main hero and then her dealing with a different witch who doesn't need constant protection.

Another issue with repetitiveness is that ALL FOUR MEN WERE THE SAME IN THE BEDROOM. I swear to god the fact that the guy "grabbed her wrists...before pressing them to the mattress above her head" happens in ever book. The guys ALWAYS need to be in control and the girls always accept it and get off on it. It would have been great if they had different kinks and if the women were more in charge, at least some of the time.

ONE THING THAT BUGS ME IS THE CONDOMS--or lack of. Like, okay fine about Isabelle and Claire since Isabelle couldn't have kids and Claire had her earth magic to tell her about her cycles. Both Mira and Sarafina are stupid though... come on. "I'm no where near that time of month where I can get pregnant" .... literally, pull out method would have worked better.
(Yes, I know she later gets a birth control charm, but still. This lack of basic sex ed bothers me to no end)

Lastly... I thought parts of the end after the final battle could have been cut and skipped. I thought it was stupid that Theo and Sarafina got into the fight and she added the whole part in of them fighting and her in her apartment. It was completely unnecessary and ruined the mood. Yes, I know her and Theo had to work out his issues and what not, but it baffled me that she didn't give him a chance to talk. She just babbled on at him and left. Then the make up was so out-there. There was a complete 180 and suddenly Theo is ready to throw everything behind him for her, even popping the question after I don't know how long, but obviously not that long. They're engaged before they really ever have the time to grow together as a couple beyond fighting for their lives. (Though I guess this is almost always a problem in books like these, so I should just accept it).

Either way, fast and entertaining series to read. While I had my problems with every novel, I loved loved loved Bast's world and plot creation.

Re-read. I didn't enjoy the character of Sarafina much but that's just personal opinion. Good overall.

So I’ve finished Anya Bast book 4 and with it the entire series (it felt like an ending, I don’t think she could write a book in the same series though I know she’s written others)

And there was LESS sex. Still a lot of sex, but less. I was actually glad of this, I’ve always said that Anya Bast actually has a great world and a great story if she’d only cut down on all the excessive shagging. But without the endless shagging other annoyances became apparent - the tropes were annoying – big strong man must tell you what to do to protect you, oh delicate petal of womanhood. But there’s some other stuff that bugs me, worst of all – the plot doesn’t work.

I thought book 3 was bad, with them deciding that the best way to keep Claire safe was to take her on a road trip to avoid the teleporting demons who can travel anywhere in the world in a second rather than using the coven’s overwhelming numbers, magic and copper weapons. But book 4? Ugh.

For reasons unknown our fire witch Sarafina gets a “feeling” that something important is somewhere and goes wandering and *gasp* so there is! Can there be a weaker, more pathetic way to move the plot forward than to have the character do random crap because “they got a feeling”? NB in no way shape or form are fire witches psychic… so why? How?

I was disappointed in this story. I just couldn't get into it. I don't like Sarafina - she comes across as a TSTL female who you just want to smack. And Theo is usually my kind of hero - gorgeous, bossy, alpha. So I can't figure why I'm not liking this. Maybe it's just that there is no real chemistry between Sarafina and Theo. There was more chemistry between Sarafina and Stefan, the bad guy.

Why do all authors feel the need to put an anal sex scene in their books now? Since when is that acceptable in a paranormal romance? If I want to read that, I'll pickup an erotic novel which features that kind of shit. Sarafina and Theo weren't even having sex when he started messing with her ass. It came totally out of left fiend and was beyond unexpected and just wrong. Honestly I wasn't enjoying the book anyway but that just finished it for me.

An okay read though there were elements in the book--mostly in the characterization of the 'alpha hero'--that I found rather irritating.

Reviewer's Note: What I'd really like to know is why 'alpha male' so often translates into unmitigated jerk.

____________________________________________________________________________________________________

sarafina was just living her life when she came home to her house one day to see it had been unlocked and a guy was holding her dog.some guys took her to this cell place and thats where she meets stefan, telling her that she is a powerful fire witch. stefan also tells her that her mother burst into flames along time ago and that sarafina is powerful and that stefan wants her to work with stefan and others. sarafina and her dog gressent were in the cell when it exploded and sarafina saw another man.he claims to be theo, one of the good guys. theo takes her back to a place called the coven where she had to rest and all.sarafina thought theo was handsome, but his personality makes him unliked.add her to the list she thought.
when theo saw sarafina, he knew she was strong and dangerous and that he shouldnt trust her.when she told him that shes innocent and she never ever knew that she was a witch, theo didnt believe her.not until he looked over her files and found out she is innocent after all.
theo found out from ssarafina that somehow stefan allied with the atrika.
theo used to be in a relationship with ingrid, just for the sex and to ease his loniness until last year, where ingrid died in a horrible way.
as an earth witch, theo has the ablity to also ward places.
bai(the demon) tried to take sarafina when she was sleeping and she knocked him a few times b4 theo came in and sarafina ran to the coven to send people to help theo drive away the demon.
sarafina used her powers to heal theo's wounds and gash and theo thinks he knows why the demon and stefan want sarafina so much.because of her healing.her powers to heal are powerful than almost anything theo has ever seen.
bai talked to stefan, and bai says that when he catches sarafina he will take her whenever and whatever time he wants.
adam is a fire witch and claire has control of all four elements.
sarafina wants theo to teach her her powers and be her bodyguard instead of adam and claire teaching her.
what people start training sarafina for:Theo worked with her self-defense skills, Jack was helping her fine-tune her raw ability with fire, and Claire was teaching her how to use it effectively against demons. Lastly, Isabelle was helping her learn how to use a sword.
theo and sarafina share a kiss that leaves theo confused, and so he pushed her and just walked away from her.now everytime theo stares at sarafina he cant look her in the eye.and its arkward for them when their in the same room.
darren(person from another coven) took intrest in sarafina and that made theo jealous.but of course he wont admit it.
one night bai came for arafina again ans she used all her burst of powers on him, which made her hurt alot.but b4 she did that she yelled what do you want from me?! and bai said that he doesnt want anything from her, he just wants her and he plans on getting it.
sarafina and theo end up going to new york and having sarafina try to talk to stefan and get some information.
sarafina found out that bai truely has a personal interest in her.
but one part of their plan didnt work.stefan sees the fake masked theo as too great a risk to take him in also so theo cant go through the door.which means that he cant guard sarafina when she goes in there.theo doesnt want sarafina going in there without him but sarafina knows that the only way to get more info was for her to go into the place tomorrow.
bai tells sarafina why he wants her to himself:he wants her to bear his children.
when stefan took sarafina to kentucky, he left her at a hotel saying he doesnt trust her enough to take her to his real location(smart of him).when his limo drove off the hotel sarafina saw a mortocycle guy with his mortocycle and he ends up taking her on his mortocycle to follow stefan at a few feet away.which leads to this big place and hidden. later on theo comes and thomas, claire, isabelle, adam and others came also and they all charged into the place.
and found a room full of Atrika(demons like bai).that proves that stefan is contorlling all/most of them. later on stefan gets injured and he commanded his demons to take him away.and so they disappeared. everyone from the coven is alive(YAY!), and thomas offers sarafina a job at the coven because he knows shes tuff and while claire was fighting the demons, she almost died when sarafina rushed in and helped her fight.theo does not take it well when he finds out why bai wants sarafina(because bai wants sarafina to bear his children).
colleen was theo's other and only lover along time ago.theo loved her until he was captured and taken by the duskoff infront of colleen's eyes.and since colleen saw them take theo meant that she was taken by them too.colleen was then tortured to death.
later on they catch stefan and takes him to the Gribben(kind of like a prison place at the coven for bad people to go to and be locked up at...like jail. and at that place when you walk through it all your powers are out of your grasp until you leave gribben).
bai later on goes into sarafina's dreams and then told her that he will be coming for her.
stefan escapes the gibben with the help of 3 atrika.
but they did get some interesting information out of stefan when he was weak and trapped in gibben...and its that he somehow got ahold of the elium.and so the atrika are working as his personal guards to gain the elium.
The elium was a ball ofdaaeman magick that worked as a neutralizing agent against power. It was the nuclear bomb of magickal weapons. Whicheverdaaeman breed controlled the elium controlled Eudae. Last the witches had known, theYtrayi had possessed the elium.
but the elium was suppose to be inside the cae of the ytrayi.which means its suppose to be inside rue.rue is the one who protected claire as much as he could, and he was like a father to claire.it makes claire sad to know that she doesnt know what happened to rue.
when sarafina tells theo he loves her later, theo just stood up and walked from her.yet again.
then he tells her later on that all she and he have between them is sex.nothing more.
theo knew that he loved sarafina, but he cant come to admit it.he thinks he wasnt built for love.
later on stefan came with all his atrika and he cast this ball spell that whoever it hits will lose all their powers.so it went around and it hit micah, and a bunch of other people.later on bai captures sarafina and disapeared with her.
sarafina finds out from bai that she was descended from theAtrikan line which means she has alittle of their DNA in herself.
theo was choking stefan when an aritaki came in and threw him off of stefan.and then the monster broke him in half.
sarafina injuried bai badly and ran into a cave.and she found rue and the elium but they were frozen.
rue and sarafina poofed to bai and rue killed him and then they poofed to chicago.
the duskoff is defeated and a punishment was made for stefan for all he's done.he is to be As a slave to theYtrayi and he is to lose all his magic forever.
theo is alive because sarafina showed up at the last minute and his powers kicked in.
sarafina knows that theo and her relationship wont work out so she left with her dog.away from theo.
theo came to sarafinas house the next day and ends up winning her heart back. and then he presented her with a wedding ring!:D
the coven is going to have a bright, big future.and micah found a infertility spell that can make isabelle fertility so that she can have thomans child.
sarafina is pregnant!theo is becoming a dad!everything is going to be great in the future and i can assume that everyone lives happily ever coven life after.

Sarafina had no idea she was a fire witch until she was kidnapped. After a raid, Theo first thinks Sarafina is a warlock but quickly realizes she was an abductee, with a daeman fixated on her. His past colors his future and he refuses to believe they can have a future. There was one big editing issue, where she removes his bloody shirt to clean it but a few minutes later when he pins her to the wall she's grasping his shirt! Okay read.

Beautiful cross between a romance novel and a sci-fi fantasy.
Serafina did not know she was a fire witch. She did not know REAL witches existed at all! Not until the knowledge of an alternate reality was forced upon her by a Warlock, Stephan, who "invited" her to join his cause. ie, he kidnapped her....

Witch Fury is the fourth book in the Elemental Witch series. The characters in these stories stick around through the series so I would recommend reading them in order. I really loved the first book in this series and then just felt ho-hum about the second and third, to the point that I stopped reading the series for a while. I finally got back to it with the fourth and it was really fun like the first one. I really like Serafina and Theo. They have the storylines I can’t resist where they have been abused or neglected as children and had serious tough luck but are able to get past it and find love and balance in their lives. Especially when he is dangerous for awhile because of his past but she is able to control him when no one else can. Too good to resist.

Serafina is an orphan whose mother tried to kill her when she was a child, but was stopped when she instantaneously combusted. Serafina was found by a wonderful foster mom who helped her get past it and make friends and have a good life. Until the Duskoff group of warlocks kidnaps her and try to turn her to their side. The problem is that she had no idea she was a powerful fire witch and she really hates people who kidnap her. She thinks she is safe when the compound she is held in is stormed by the good guys until a huge, angry man, Theo, thinks she’s a warlock and drags her back to their compound. Theo has been kidnapped and terribly abused by the Duskoffs so anyone he thinks is in league with them is immediately his enemy. However, his prisoner has a decently believable story that she’s innocent. When the witches finally discover that she is innocent, Serafina has already made up her mind about Theo, that he sucks. However, she likes the witches and all they are able to teach her about her newly discovered powers. She decides to stay with them for protection from a deamon who is hunting her specifically. It seems her best chance for safety is not just with the witches but with Theo as her bodyguard. And they both like that prospect more than they want to admit.

I love the world Anya has created with how the witches wield power and with the evil they face. It gets decently dark in some places with heads needing hacked off and the like. The steamy level is quite good and the whole story is laced with humor. Whenever I am feeling in a witchy mood Anya’s world is always a wonderful place to escape to.

Sample dialogue:

She frowned. “You seem to get hurt a lot.”
The ghost of grin passed over his lips. “I let you win.” He caught and held her gaze. “Anyway, this gives you a chance to practice your healing on me again.”
Sarafina stilled, captivated. This was the longest he’d ever looked directly into her eyes. His pupils dilated a little, the color turning a deeper, darker brown. Her lips parted and her breath caught at the intimacy of the moment. The silence between them seemed pregnant with possibility. . .
Her next sentence came out in a near breathless puff of air as she stared deeply into his beautiful eyes. “Take off your pants.”
That pregnant, intimate moment popped like a bubble.
He blinked. “What did you say?”
Mentally, she smacked her forehead. Brilliant, Sarafina, brilliant!
“I meant your shirt, not your pants. I’ll try to get the blood out of it.” She gave a nervous laugh. “Why would I aks you to take off your pants?”

When your born a witch, you are always a witch. Just because you don't know you are doesn't make it false.

Sarafina Connell is broke, having spent the remainder of her savings on her foster mother's funeral, grieving for the loss her of her foster mother, recovering from her recent boyfriend break-up, and someone is in her apartment. When Stefan Faucheux, Duskoff International CEO, kidnaps her, it's just the icing on the cake. She's having a very bad week. Stefan insists that Sarafina is a fire witch, but she believes he is crazy. That is until she thinks back to her biological mother killing herself in a blaze of fire. When Stefan proves it by pulling a thread of power from Sarafina, she is shocked. Stefan wants her to join his organization, but the Atrika demon called Bai standing near him doesn't bring her comfort.

Theo Winters is a powerful earth witch. When he and his coven storm Stefan's compound, they take Sarafina as well. They believe she is cahoots with the warlock since he had her separated from everyone else. She must be special and the coven wants to know why. It takes Sarafina awhile to prove she is just an innocent caught up in the web good versus evil, but eventually they believe her. However, the coven would like Sarafina to work with them, and Sarafina agrees after they agree to her terms. She wants to train and live with Theo as its him she trusts.

Sarafina's power is immense. She and Theo learn that she has a rare talent for healing, but her defensive spells are chaotic. But she is determined to control her powers, as Bai the Atrika demon keeps stalking her. He wants her for his very own, to breed his young. The coven believes that Stefan is controlling the Atrika demons and seek a way to remove the threat. But even as the powers between good and evil simmer to a boil. Seraphina and Theo fight their own battle of passion and love.

WITCH FURY, ELEMENTAL WITCHES, BOOK 4 finished the saga (WITCH HEART, WITCH FIRE, and WITCH BLOOD) with Anya Bast at her best. The romance between Theo and Sarafina crackles and sizzles into a blazing fire of passion. The action is first-rate and the lead characters from the previous novels tie up nicely in this novel. A fast-paced, steaming hot paranormal that has me waiting to see what Anya Bast will do next.

Witch Fury is the best of the four Elemental Witches books. The author, Anya Bast found just the right mix of action, intrigue and romance to make the book an exciting read. Sarafina Connell has had a difficult life. Early in her childhood, her father abandoned his family. Then, at the tender age of eight Sarafina's insane mother (a religious zealot and fire witch) attempts to kill her. After her mother literally spontaneously combust, Sarafina is placed in foster care and goes to live with Rosemary, a loving and generous woman. Rosemary nurtures Sarafina and she becomes a loving and caring individual with many friends. Two weeks earlier, Sarafina breaks up with her longtime boyfriend, Alex. Then, Rosemary dies and Sara scrapes together what little money she has to give her foster mother the funeral she deserves. After returning home to Chicago and to her pomeranian,Grosset Sarafina is kidnapped by the master warlock, Stephen Faucheux. She learns that she is a fire witch with strong abilities. However, Sarafina is not the only witch that was abducted and when the local witch coven discovers the kidnappings they set out on a plan to rescue the witches. Theo and Jack( characters from previous books) are sent in to accomplish the task. Theo mistakes Sarafina for a warlock and takes her captive. This is where the fun begins. Ms. Bast has finally hit her stride and has created a sensuous and action packed read. I truly enjoyed this last book in the series.

I liked this story and it was unexpected since I wasn't really fond of Theo. A new witch is introduced, Sarafina, like Mira was unaware of her true nature as a fire witch. It started off slow but I was intrigued when Theo mistook Sarafina for a warlock.

I also appreciated the story progress and the character developments, but Theo really took a long time to let go. Sarafina adapted quite well, after the hysteria. She's one of those heroines I like because of her resilience. The demons (Atrika) took a liking to Sarafina and the likes of him are all over the place. There's the usual running away and hiding and waiting until the demons show up, it gave me the creeps. I was also worried about their defense against the demons, and was really glad when Sarafina killed Bai.

Sarafina and Theo's love story took time and it was gradual. Day by day they learn about each other until they fall in love and I really felt it in the author's writing. Their emotions run amok whenever they make love and every scene was erotic from the first touch, kiss, until their joining, and release. This is one of those rare series where every story gets better. This is the perfect ender - Atrikas finally die, Rue seals the portal, Stefan dies, Thomas acquires Duskoff International, and the Coven witches live happily ever after.

Sarafina, a young woman who has just lost her adoptive mother and is having the most normal life as anyone else in the world. One day she was taken from her home by strange men led by none other than Stefan. The leader of a group of evil witches. She realizes that magic exists and so do witches. Stefan shows her just what kind of witch they both are. During his chance to get Sarafina to join his organization of witches, another organization called the Coven breaks in to rescue another witch. In the middle of the attack, Sarafina was mistaken to be apart of Stefan's group already. She was taken in by Theo and was at first treated like an enemy. With the help of modern tech. they soon realized that she was an alley. However, Theo was still hard on the surface about the whole thing. Something about Sarafina just hit something inside of him and that annoyed him.

This had got to be the most amusing book in the series that I have read. Usually the couple was close to realizing what was going on in the beginning but they just kept making up excuses.

This is recommended for teens and up. There's a lot of violence in this book but also some humor. And of course it's a romance novel, so for those who are up for this sort of stuff. Be my guest.

It would have been helpful to have read the earlier books to have given me the world building necessary to appreciate the threads of the major storyline. Sarafina is a fire witch. She doesn't know that until she is kidnapped by a warlock (meaning a witch of any gender who has gone rogue) determined to use her power. Almost immediate she is kidnapped back by the Coven - the good witches. Theo in particular, a powerful Earth witch, captures her attention. He is tattooed with power symbols and he starts her training immediately. She doesn't even know if she believes in this stuff but once she finds the seat of her power she realize that she can control fire and better still, she can heal. The sex between Sarafina and Theo is combustible, though there isn't a lot of it. More sexual tension. The book is really about resolving the conflict/crisis between the Coven and their enemy, the Duskoff. It does that in an epic battle and Bast doesn't hesitate to hurt characters both good and bad, which is a credit to her. At the same time, I was never captured by the characters or the story. It was good but nothing elevated it to great for me. If you're going to read the series, start at book 1, I think you'll find it much more interesting.

This book is about Sarafina as much as it is about Theo. Sarafine is kidnapped by Duskoff International’s head guy Stefan. She is shown the world of magic and told of Stefan’s plans to have absolute power. She wants no part of it and fears she may not have a choice. Meanwhile the Coven plans a raid on Duskoff and asks Theo to help. There he finds Sarafina, who he mistakes for a warlock and takes back to the Coven headquarters to question. Soon he finds out that she was abducted and the memory of his own abduction by Duskoff comes flooding back. Sarafina informs Theo that she was awakened by a witch with red eyes, but that’s not a witch it’s a demon who seems to have taken a liking to Sarafina and will stop at nothing to get her. Theo must now protect Sarafina from the demon, as well as fight with the coven to stop Stefan once and for all. The coven and the Duskoff will never be the same.

In this, the 4th and final book of the Elemental Witch series, we find that our Author, Anya Bast, has brought an equally worthy and devastating end to this wonderful series. Alliances will be made and for some of our most loved people, life will never be the same.

You have the usual push and pull between Sara and Theo. I love her but I’m not good for her, I love him but he breaks my heart. Blah, blah. Throw in some super hot sex scenes and that pretty much sums up the romance part. {I’m really cutting down the plot of the romance but I’d have to say Sara and Theo are my favorite couple of the series.}

There is some action pack fight scenes as well; magick being thrown around, a few be-headings.

We get to see what the other couples are up to in this final installment and get a little glance into their futures. The over all plot of the series is brought to an end in this book but it felt a little rushed and I was hoping for a little more. But over all I enjoyed this book (more than the 3rd book, Witch’s Heart). If you have read the others you will want to read this one too.

I’d recommend this book to anyone that loves a hot bad boy {mmm…. Theo}.

This is the second book I've read by Anya Bast and I loved it! The first was ok, but it got a little long and didn't really "grab" me, however this one I sped through in less than a day. I enjoyed the Coven/witch world that the author created, though at times there were quite a lot of fae type characters to keep track of, however I did jump in in the middle of the series.

For me what really makes a book is the chemistry between the hero and heroine. I thought they clicked well right away and there was a nice buildup of romantic tension with some steamy love scenes. The heroine was strong and capable, but because she took the time to train and learn, not just because of a gift that made her that way. The hero was "wounded", but not to a ridiculous degree and he was super sexy to boot.

Great read, definitely recommended!

Having read the first three in this series, I tried very hard to like this one. Don't get me wrong, it was okay - but this one just seemed a tired rehash, like the author just couldn't get the same intensity. Theo and Sarafina are good characters and the plot should be exciting - hey, it's a battle to the end between the Duskoff and the Coven - but I just couldn't get into it.

Some of my annoyance was due to continuity issues - don't authors have proofreaders and editors anymore? There was one scene where Sarafina removes Theo's shirt (to clean it) and goes on about his gorgeous chest; then the next bit speaks about fisting her hands in his shirt to bring him down to kiss her. I went back and read it again - I did not miss anything but obviously someone did.

Not bad for fluff and the steamy bits were well written, but would not be on my must read list.

I really enjoyed Witch Fury and I wish it wasn’t the end of the Elemental Witch series. Everything was wrapped up nicely (maybe too nicely?) and everyone ended up with their happy endings. Well, sorta. During the ultimate battle, something does occur to our favorite researcher, Micah, and while there is a hint to his HEA, we don’t know if he for sure gets it. However, for those who want more of Micah and the other witches, Anya has posted a free story called Micah’s Magick at her website. I haven’t had a chance to read it yet, but I know I’m going to feel the need for more witches and I’ll be heading that way for sure.

I don't understand the reviews I've read on this novel about 'not being up to par' with the rest of the series- I think it certainly did! I enjoyed it more so than I did the previous two and about as much as the first which is my favorite.

Theo's ignorance on his effect on women is amusing, so are his lack of social skills- making him a wonderful match for feisty and outgoing Sarafina. Strangely enough he's always been attracted to fire witches and it makes sense he'd fall for a powerful one.

A fitting end to the Elemental Witches series, loved the cameos made by the previous couples too :)

Even though I wish there were more books in this series, its nice to have everthing work out at the end of a book for a change. Theo was such a difficult character to love because he was sooo stubborn. Sarafina and Bia was just the creepest things ever. Even though they were described as being attractive like humans, Bia still oozed with digust. Yuck. I was surprised that they didn't find a way for the witches to get their magic back, but it gives more depth and meaning to the story. Micah was more than his magic and as a reader it's good to remember that you are more than what you are percieved to be.

I dunno, maybe it's me?
I know that the witch series is well written.
I wanted to like it more.

But, I'm not a fan of science fiction/romance.
And even though there were a few hurrah moments, I most certainly am not into gore type violence.

The romance was sexy.
The violence was gritty and hideous. I don't enjoy reading about acid like blood, red eyes, sharp rolls of teeth, and raw meat breath. It is just not pleasant.

The constant killing/kidnapping thing is just too much drama for the joy.

If you like alien violence mixed up with your witch romance, maybe this series is for you?

Book 4 in the Elemental Witches series. I think this is the final book in the series, or at least this section of the series. I'm sure that the author could continue on forever with new couples hooking up without the Super Drama underlying back-story going on in this series, I mean, all the other giant series do that. The story was good but the porny sex is unnecessary, once again I was fast forwarding at those parts to get back to the main story. Otherwise it's your typical PR. If you've read and enjoyed the first 3 books then, by all means, read this one too. All the loose ends are very sloppily tied up to a conclusion here but at least it ends.

This one had a slightly different plot twist and the full series climax. The son of the infamous bad guy from Book 1 has made an appearance and has a fairly major role. I also liked that our heroine was accused of being a warlock. That could have gone on a bit better and longer but the idea was appealing. However, once again the romance between the man and woman were absolutely identical. Put all the sex scenes in one book and give the girl and guy all the same name and nobody would know a difference. Same thing with most of the dialogue, save for book 3 since Claire was a whole different game of character twists.
