The wedding is just two days away! Despite her plain appearance and inferior social status, Marielle is finally about to marry the man of her dreams: Simeon, the Vice Captain of the Royal Order of Knights. He’s outwardly cold and vicious, but kind and pure on the inside—and the contrast sets her fangirl heart on fire. He’s everything she could wish for and more. After many sleepless nights preparing the manuscript for her next novel, all the obstacles are cleared and only bliss awaits. Now nothing stands between Marielle and the altar. Or so she thinks. While Marielle and Simeon are out shopping, a robbery takes place, revealing a conspiracy—and Marielle is kidnapped by the criminals! The fourth volume in the adventures of the devious fangirl who secretly obsesses over her fiancé and everyone around him!
I find Marielle Clara to be quite an entertaining character. And while I have enjoyed the series tremendously so far, this was my least favorite of the four books. It wasn't bad by any means, but the main drama wasn't the same mystery or intrigue of the other books and the main issue felt rather forced. But we finally made it to the wedding and I'm curious to see what shenanigans she will get up to next.
More tense in this one but a great ending. Loved that the series still continues even after they are married. I love her interactions with his family. Especially his mother and youngest brother. I'd love to see more of him interacting with her family too.
Esh Duke Silvestri, you need a job dude. You complain about being bored but you won’t take any responsibilities to help the royal family. And you made our favorite couple late for their own nuptials. For shame, Duke, for shame.
I liked this installment. Right before the wedding Duke Silvestri has one more obstacle up his sleeve for Marielle and Simeon.
Apparently the d fact that his highness needs a wife is a hot topic and Marielle will fit the bill…
