British Black Sheep

He is exactly the kind of man Brie Honeyweather swore never to love…or lust after ever again: a sexy, arrogant, British bad boy in a designer suit. Alec is the last person Brie wants to be stuck on an international flight to London with, but hey…at least they’re in first class.

When their flight has to make an emergency landing in a snowstorm just before Christmas, Brie and Alec are thrown together in a single bedroom in a tiny English village. As the snowstorm rages outside, things get intense and emotions and lust run hot. Alec reminds Brie just how much she misses being with a man and how easy it is to fall head over heels too fast.

What should have been an amazing one-night stand turns into a week-long secret romance at Alec’s family estate when Brie realizes her new boss is Alec’s mother, a British countess. While Brie tries to focus on writing a Christmas book with the countess, all she can think about is getting back into bed with Alec.

She shouldn’t fall for the arrogant brit, especially when their lives are oceans apart and neither of them wants a serious relationship. But Christmas magic has a way of working miracles. Maybe Santa will bring her a happy ending after all…

A sweet and safe romance read, with a nice plot and likeable characters. It was very well written, yet had a lot of descriptive parts that minimised my interest.

I loved this story to pieces! Is that the saying? Lol I think it is. I just wanted it to go on forever! I’m not new to the world of Lauren Smith so I was fairly certain that I would enjoy the heck out of this story and that it would be very well written but I mean I want to be friends with Alex and Brie right now!! Such enjoyable characters that just came to life on the page! It was fantastic! All of fit!

Anyone else could hear the sexy British accent in their head every time Alec spoke? No, just me...It was utterly sexy. Him and Brie have amazing chemistry and most of the time reading, I found myself smiling. It's sexy and sweet and now I want my very own Alec.

Too late for Christmas in July, but the spirit was still there. It was the most christmassy book about Christmas I’d ever read. Usually, I’m not much into that kind of story, but this one was perfectly done. It starts with a plane crash, so it isn’t your usual Holiday romance either. But then you follow this writer, Brie, who’s basically in a fairytale castle, as she learns about Christmas traditions and recipes and anecdotes in the Halston family. You even get a bit of Christmas magic. And a beautiful Happily Ever After.

It was so sweet. But don’t be mistaken, it was also quite hot. Brie and Alec are an inventive couple. There was the right amount of heat and feelings in the intimate scenes. That went quite well with the general atmosphere of the story.

Some of the characters’ traits weren’t all that logical–maybe some reactions were a bit over the top regarding some past traumas. That might be the weakest element of this book: character development. Not that there isn’t any, but it sometimes doesn’t make a lot of sense.

But if you want a little magic in your heart, that’s the book to read.

Quickie

- Series: standalone (but part of the Cocky Hero Club collection)
- Hashtags: #Holiday romance #no strings attached #forced cohabitation #noble #writer #Christmas magic
- Triggers: plane emergency landing
- Main couple: Brie Honeyweather & Alec Halston
- Hotness: 5/5
- Romance: 4/5
- + everything a Hallmark movie is… with sex
- – black sheep seemed such a strong word to describe Alex

Brie hates flying, as in it terrifies her to be hurtling through the skies in a tin can deathtrap. Luckily for her, her seatmate on her flight to London is a gorgeous, albeit rude, hottie in a suit with a divine British accent. Oh sure he may seem to delight in riling her up by making fun of her name and her bodice ripper book, but he also makes her laugh, and comforts her when the turbulence on their flight freaks her out. But it's when their flight makes an emergency landing and they're forced to room together for a night that their bond solidifies. Too bad they'll never see each other again after they leave the next morning...

But the spirit of the Christmas season must be having its way with them because it turns out Brie's new ghostwriting job happens to be with Alex's mom and they'll be around each other for a whole week. A week to indulge in their attraction, a fling for her to remember once she goes back home to the states. And a week for Brie to help Alex find his heart again, find his sense of home, what he's been running from ever since his beloved grandfather passed years ago.

Oh God, I LOVED this installment of the Cocky Hero Club! Perhaps it was the Christmas theme, or Alex's swoony British accent, or maybe it was Brie's adorable personality. But whatever it was, I fell in love with this beautiful love story and its two leads.

Magical Christmas Romance Will Melt Your Heart

4.5/5 Stars

What you need to know about British Black Sheep:
✔ Force proximity romance
✔ Complete stand-alone
✔ Lovely American ghost writer heroine
✔ Hot British investment banker
✔ If you loved British Bedmate by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward, you will get to see more of Simon and Brigid

Lauren Smith is a new author to me but I will be looking up her other works immediately after reading the thoroughly enchanting “British Black Sheep”. “British Black Sheep” is a magical Christmas romance that is lavish in its descriptions of the holidays in the English countryside with a beautiful and steamy romance as its centerpiece. It’s really quite stunning with echoes of Dylan Thomas' “A Child’s Christmas in Wales” if you added a romance to that story.

Alec and Brie meet when they are seated next to each other in first class on the flight from New York to London. He insults her bodice ripper, her name and is generally an asshat. Eventually they become friendlier and share some champagne and good conversation and part in London thinking they will never see each other again.

Shockingly, they end up on a second flight sitting beside each other again on the second leg of their journey to Manchester. They don’t know they are both heading for the same destination: Merryvale Court, where Brie is ghostwriting a Christmas book for Alec’s mother.

Can these two broken souls find the beauty in the Christmas traditions of Merryvale and can it mend those places in their hearts?

WRITING STYLE: 5/5
PLOT: 4/5
WORLD-BUILDING: 5/5
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT: 4/5
ROMANCE: 5/5
HEAT: 4/5

Many thanks to Give Me Books Promotions, the Cocky Hero Club, and Lauren Smith for an ARC in exchange for an honest book review of “British Black Sheep”. My thoughts and opinions are 100% my own and independent of receiving an advance copy.

It’s been a while . But this charming Christmas novel reminded why I love this author’s novel. Christmas time is always time for happiness and cheer. For Alec it the one time he rather be working. He has bad associations with Christmas and agree to come home to spend the holidays with his family because his friend Simon is in town.
Until his trip to home takes an interesting turn when he meets Brie who is on her way to country estate for Christmas, to work on her latest project. Brie isn’t keen to fly and when she ends up twice next to Alec, obviously they aren’t going to let their interactions be limited to just speaking when there is an obvious attraction despite their obvious issues.

However that only half the book and when they arrive to their destination, they aren’t afraid to continue to let the sparks fly. Alec is go getter and he isn’t afraid to speak his mind. He doesn’t want to follow the family traditions which is everything to Brie with the current project. Brie is all for the holidays so with the Christmas spirit evident and she determined to help Alec get in the spirit any way possible. Smith’s latest is the perfect Christmas read and definitely will be re-reading this one around Christmas time.

This was my favorite of the 6 Hero Club releases this round!!I love the story of Alec and Brie, and their families and friends and their love. I wanted to read it as fast as possible, but I also wanted it to never end – and I am already adding the author’s other books to my TBR! Lauren Smith is a new-to-me author, and I am SO glad that she wrote this book so I was able to discover her!! A few of the other Hero Club books lately have started strong and then went very lackluster midway through, which has made me worry about the collection, but British Black Sheep got in to my heart and I loved the whole story. Very compelling reasons for both Alec and Brie to love and hate the Christmas season, and it was so heart-warming to watch them fall in love in spire of their differences in opinion. And the chemistry between these two!!! The characters in this story are so well-developed, and the story line is wonderful as well. I HIGHLY recommend this book! If you are only going to read one of this round’s Hero Club releases, make it British Black Sheep!! It is definitely in my pile to be read again close to Christmas!!

This book is the reason we are romance readers! (And even Alec sees what all the hoopla is about regarding bodice rippers!!)

Brie finds herself on a plane to England as she embarks on her next assignment. She is already nervous about the flight so the last thing she needs is to be seated to a sexy stranger who has made it his mission to get any reaction from her, whether it was good or bad. When they find themselves stranded they spend a steamy evening together never expecting to see each other again.

Alec is spending the holiday season with his mother at the place which holds both happy and sad memories. When he finds out that woman he spent a steamy evening with will be staying at his family home to help out his mother he is determined to make it a week to remember.

There was no denying the chemistry and connection between Alec and Brie and they may just finds out that one night, one week or even one lifetime together may not be enough.

That title made me want to read this book. When I started I felt a little hesitant through, because the story is a mixture of 3rd person narration which I'm not a big fan of,honestly. Because it always leave me with that sensation of the author not wanted to be involved in the story she writes, but just tell it. Like wanted to keep the distance.
Anyway, that would be my only complain about British black sheep.
Now, overall the story is pretty hillarous, because of his British sense of humor. I'm not sure what made me liked him more, his humor or his accent.
Anyway, Alec is definitely 100% British hot man!
I liked the plot too. It easy to read and enjoy.
You will like it too, I'm sure.

British Black Sheep was a lovely read. Brie & Alec have instant attraction and after a meeting on a flight to London they come to a mutual agreement that their one night together will be just that. However they are both clueless that Brie’s new boss is Alec’s mum and they will now spend Christmas together. So if you love the tropes of one bed, one night stand and forced proximity all set at Christmas time you would like this one. This I book four in the Ever After series and like I did it can be read as a stand alone book.

Alec, be my...seatmate!?!

Well now...

This black sheep can entertain me anytime. Not just because I'm a sucker for a British accent. Not just because he's gorgeous. No, there are more resons to allow Alec into your heart, your bed, and your happily ever after. Oh wait, I meant you can read about Alec's heart, bed, and his ever after. Seems my imagination was getting ahead of itself.

A happy coincidence or Holiday miracle? British Black Sheep is a Christmas story worth reading all year round. Doesn't hurt that the man candy cover looks good enough to eat!😉

As an Irish girl I do think the British men have the gift of the gab. I know from experience lol

Alex and Brie are thrown together on a long flight. Neither of them are looking for love but fate has other ideas.

I thought this was a lovely read that I thoroughly enjoyed. Can’t wait to read more from this author in the future.

I enjoyed the plot in this story.

However it does need a good edit, there is lots of typos. Alec is Alex at times and Brie is brief. There are many more.

I also think that expanding the story would do it justice. It was a quick whirlwind romance, but I find it need a little something more to develop.

I also didn't find it believable that Simon and Brigitte would leave the twins with grandparents over Christmas any other week yes, but not at Christmas.

I would read another book from this author.

“ “You’re not going to die.” Brie Honeyweather laughed at her friend’s quip over the phone. If anyone could calm her down right now, it was Bridget. “I know,” Brie said with a sigh. “But it’s been a while since I’ve taken one of these international flights. It’s a little scary. That’s all.” She shifted on the blue leather chair in the gate area. Her flight was scheduled to board in half an hour and all around her the other travelers were stuffing snacks in carry-on bags and adjusting curved pillows around their necks.” Excerpt from British Black Sheep

Brie is a ghostwriter, she’s been doing it for about four years, she loves it, speaking to people and capturing stories and biographies. And when a famous authors asks her to help on a Christmas story, Brie is there. Well, almost there, she has to get on a plane first.....

Alec is on his way home, burnt out and exhausted with his job. He lives his job, 24/7 being an investment banker gives him the thrills and excitement he craves. The money’s not bad either.
And when a delightful young woman scolds him on the plane, Alec has found his entertainment for the long flight home. Teasing her is going to be a lot of fun.

Being forced to land before scheduled to was unsettling. But to share a room with Alec is mind blowing....
She’s suppose to be unpacking at the beautiful Manor House and writing with the countess, instead she’s stuck with the arrogant if not handsome Brit!!!

Both Alec and Brie are attracted to one another, they give in and have no regrets.
Finding out that they will both be under the same roof at the countess’s home is fun for Alec, but mortifying for Brie! And when she finds out he’s her son!! Well Brie just wants to go home!

Alec then sets about chasing and persuading Brie to have fun with him whilst she’s here. Brie agreed but as long as it remains a secret between them. And when she goes home, that’s it. Alec is up first that, a bit of fun over Christmas, then back to work. No strings, just how he likes it.

But just like string, they get tangled up like Christmas lights. It’s not easy trying to keep emotions out of this, it’s only suppose to be fun!
Brie is going back home soon, and Alec needs to go back to London.

I have to admit, reading a Christmas book in the middle of summer was different.
I’ve read a few of this author’s books. And I’ve always enjoyed them. This one was no different.
Definitely a feel good Christmas story😉

“ Alec stepped into his grandfather’s study and placed the last of Walter’s old journals down on the desk. He’d spent the last month reading everything he could find from his grandfather. There’d been close to a hundred journals cataloging Walter’s life. Alec eased down into the leather chair. A hint of that old cigar smoke still lingered in the air, but the memory of a ghost was now welcome to him. Coming home to Merryvale had meant finding his grandfather and positive memories in every nook and cranny of the old estate. Alec removed a new empty leather journal from its packaging and set it down beside his grandfather’s on the desk. When he took up a pen and turned to the first page, he thought of his grandfather’s stories, the things he learned, and what falling in love with Brie had meant to him. With a deep breath, he dated the first page and began to write. Brie and I lay beneath the ancient cedar trees of our home, marvelling at the distant striations of clouds as we held each other close, and in that moment, we were infinite…” excerpt from British Black Sheep

I really enjoyed the book, which immediately put me in the Christmas spirit.
The well written plot is emotional, has strangers to lovers, close proximity, one bed, one night stand and holiday fling tropes, great imagery, a few surprising twists, a bit of suspense, humor, steamy love scenes and a whole cast of very likeable characters. Brie and Alec are a lovely couple with great chemistry between them from the start. I also really liked the family cohesion, the traditions of the Halston family and the message about love, new beginnings and charity.

Breanna „Brie“ Honeyweather is an American ghostwriter who is invited by the Countess of Merryvale to her family country estate in England over Christmas to write a book with her about Christmas tradition at Merryvale Court.
On the flight there, she meets the handsome, arrogant Alec, who annoys her but also kindly helps her with her fear of flying.
Alec Halston is a successful investment banker who lives only for his work. Since a sad event years ago, he has withdrawn from his family and no longer celebrates Christmas.
Both are attracted to each other and when the plane has to make an emergency landing in a snowstorm and they share a bed in their accommodation and spend a passionate night together.
What neither of them expected, however, is that they will meet again the very next day. Alec is the Countess's son and is visiting for a change. They agree to a brief and secret holiday fling without expectations and further emotional entanglements, because Brie doesn't know if she's capable of love since her divorce and Alex is not interested in and too busy for a serious relationship...

If you like steamy Christmas romance novels with endearing characters and heartwarming celebrations, you are sure to enjoy this book!

British Black Sheep is a fantastic read. I had never read a book by Lauren Smith and now I'm hooked. It was beautifully written, with a well-constructed plot and captivating characters. A contemporary love story, set during Christmas and with elements of historical romance. It simply works.

Brie Honeyweather is an American ghostwriter who is traveling to the UK to help a countess write the story of the estate during the winter break. After being married and getting a divorce when she was 24, Brie is disillusioned with love. She is focused on her writing career. So when she enters the first class of the airplane that will take her to London, the last thing she expected was to be smitten with a cocky, arrogant British investment banker who is her seat neighbor. Alec is solely focused on his career and has no time for relationships.

The seven-hour flight leaves a spark that has them wondering about the what-ifs. When bumping into each other for a second flight and after their plane makes an emergency landing, all their caution is thrown out the window. They will let their attraction lead their actions. After all, it's just a one-night stand. Right? Except they will meet again at the countess's estate, who happens to be Alec's mother.

The story is amazing. They will both have to face their fears, with a magical and white Christmas as a backdrop. The book is infused with traditions and details that make it even more special. Also, there are cameos by Bridget and Simon from British Bedmate by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland. British Black Sheep is an outstanding addition to the Cocky Hero Club.

Alec Halston is all business and no play. He travels a lot between NY and England. Of course he is one who is always in first class on airplanes and works throughout the entire flight. On this flight back home of course he's sitting next to Brie, who is talking and interrupting his work time. However, he can't be upset with her, as she is beautiful and he hasn't let himself indulge in much as of late.

Brie Honeyweather, is a ghost writer, helping those write books. She is on her way to England to help a woman write a book about Christmas traditions and recipes and anecdotes in the Halston family.

This story is like a Halmark movie.
Meet handsome man on airplane - check.
Airplane Crash with handsome man sitting next to you - checkC
an't come out amoungst new employee as hot Alec is her son - check

Brie is super worried about having her new boss be offended that she's 'casually dating' her son while she is under her employ writing her historical book with her. However, Alec and Brie have a strong connection that they can't resist.

Alec is deemed the black sheep of the family as he's always working. However, I don't see him as a black sheep - he's working, he's doing what he knows, he wants to get ahead at work, he doesn't have a family, but, why is he being judge for not taking time off to spend with family when he doesn't have anyone to love?

Sweet and passionate modern-day royal romance at Christmas with all the feels
Thoroughly intriguing, emotional journey with Brie and Alec allowing us to watch as they find love but more importantly, to believe that it exists. Merryvale is Alec’s family’s country estate: home to the Earl and Countess of Merryvale where they live a contented life. In recent history however, Alec has not come home, especially at Christmas. His beloved grandfather died on Christmas day and so Alec finds it tremendously hard to be at Merryvale. This year he has come home because his best friend Thad and his new family have been invited. On the plane coming home Alec meets a fascinating American, Brie Honeyweather with whom he feels a spark. Close-proximity and overwhelming urges, pull them together even more before Alec finds out they are both headed to Merryvale. Brie is Alec’s mother’s ghostwriter for a book she is writing about traditions of Merryvale. Will they be able to hide their one-night-stand from the family and friends? Is there a nudge from a happy ghost?
This was such a sweet but passionately steamy romance. A lot of soul-searching occurs for both Brie and Alec. When they finally figure it out…well, that moment had me in tears. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through BookSirens.

This is the first book I have read from Lauren Smith. She has gained a fan of her writing. This was a great addition to the Cocky series. Brie has received the chance of a lifetime. To help write a book about the Christmas's at Merryvale. You see she is a ghost writer. She writes the books for someone else. That is exactly what she is going to do. But first she has to fly there. Flying for her is not easy. But sitting next to the hottie might be make flying a little easier.
Alec is a businessman. Every since losing someone very important to him he does not go home for Christmas but this year he is going. He ends up on the same plane as Brie. As a matter of fact he is in the seat next to her. These two some what hit it off on this first plane ride. But the next one is when things really happen between them because it takes a turn for the worse. But Brie doesn't realize who Alec is and Alec doesn't know who Brie is until they arrive at the Merryvale home. But more secrets are being kept then you think. I loved the chemistry between these two. It was interesting and sometimes intense. There was just something about these two that you could easily see that they would fit together. I loved this one and want more from these characters. I loved this one and highly recommend it.

The title is misleading. I think a Christmas title would have served the novel best. When readers see “Christmas” in the title, they gravitate towards it. This little gem did not get the attention it richly deserves. It’s a realistic presentation of how two people get caught up in their jobs to avoid life’s unpleasantries. In the case of Brie, she was afraid of long term relationships, since she had a brief marriage then divorced. In Alec’s case, his investment banking occupation kept him from returning home for the holidays, so he could avoid the grief and memories of his deceased grandfather. But… a little Merryvale magic in Manchester, England during Christmas is just the setting the couple needs to revisit the decisions that fuel loneliness in their lives.

Smith has written a sweet, almost clean, contemporary romance with the loveliest of characters. The setting, the snow, the Christmas merriment, the magical tales of the manor and Alec’s family all contribute to the most enchanting Christmas tale. I will certainly reread it. And… any book that has a snippet from “… Twas the Night Before Christmas” always gets 5 stars.

This is the first book I have read by the author and it is a fun addition to the Cocky Hero Club that brings readers some Christmas cheer a little early. Alec is an investment banker in London who does not have any balance in his life. It is all work all the time. The Christmas holidays are particularly challenging for him, which is why he rarely returns home. Brie is an American ghostwriter hired to write a Christmas book about the traditions that take place in Merryvale, a quaint town just over the pond. Brie is not one who likes to fly but with her latest assignment, it brings her face to face with a handsome, arrogant British Adonis, named Alec, and the sparks are igniting. It seems as if fate is taking these two under its wing as they seem to be running into each other and when they both wind up at Alec’s childhood home of Merryvale, it will take all of their willpower to remain professional, or will they? Prepare to be swept away by these two characters that will get under your skin and will make you crave that warm feeling of home. I volunteered to read a copy of this book.

British Black Sheep is an enchanting, seriously fun and delightful read. Very entertaining and addictive book that I enjoyed from the beginning to the end with effortless and poignant writing and storytelling. The descriptions of the holidays in the English countryside and beautiful and steamy romance added to the enjoyment of this holiday book.

Alec and Brie have an interesting meet-cute and even more interesting conversation which didn't go well. These two are flirty, fun, tender, touching and heartwarming at times emotional. There is an obvious attraction despite their evident issues. They have ups and downs but they make it work. I liked them from the moment they interacted the first time. They both took each other by surprise. Seeing them thriving and healing together by accepting love is beautiful.

So well-written, so enjoyable, so entertaining with amazing characters and banter.

I downloaded this book around 9 am this morning and y'all, when I tell you I *binged* it, I mean it. I was finished by 2 pm, that too only because I had a class in the middle. That's how much I was into this book.

Set in the Christmas backdrop, we meet our FMC, Brie(yes, like the cheese lol), who is a sweetheart and the MMC, Alec, who is a major workaholic and kind of grump- as "luck" brings them together in multiple ways. I adored how good Brie and Alec were for each other. Alec provides the care and adoration in Brie's that she had given up on, while Brie brings the much needed balance and calm in his life. They were both very likeable characters, and one thing that stood out the most to me was that while Alec is a grump, he was never rude to anyone- and I loved it. By the time I finished it, I was already having withdrawals. Overall, it was a well-rounded book imo, like a hallmark movie but without the cringe and cliché factor. I would absolutely love to read more from the author and will be following her works.

I received an ARC through Booksirens and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Audio book review
A stand-alone Audio story. Lauren Smith writes heart gripping stories. Her female hero’s are strong , determined but Lauren heroine heart is guarded also . The character’s are determined to seize the moment .
Alec is the hero. Brie is the heroine .

Alec decides to go back home for the Xmas holidays . He’s uncomfortable seeing his family home since his grandfathers passing when Alec was very young . Brie is a ghost writer , she’s contracted by a countess to write a Xmas story about the family. Both Alec and Brie meet in the plane and things take off from there .
Little do the heroine Alec and Brie know they are fated to be together, by Alec best friend Simon and Simons wife Who knows Brie plus Alec mother but more importantly by fate , the world itself . Do they ignore what should happen to be together. Grab it and see

Lee Samuels, Michelle Ferguson Performance was great. It was the first time I heard them but it won’t be my last. They did the characters great

British Black Sheep is a billionaire romance that takes place during the Christmas holidays as it’s MFC ghost writer Brie is on a flight to London to spend time with friends and meet her next client a British Countess.

On the flight she meets London businessman Alec and a little attraction begins to spark between them and judging by their dual POV they are definetly feeling it.

When they end up on the same connecting flight to Manchester and bad weather has the flight making an emergency landing in a field , near death can make you rethink a lot of things especially when they end up having to spend time together in one room during a raging snowstorm after rescue!

Well It would have been a one night stand but a few surprises along with some holiday magic have set them both onto the same path to MAYBE a happily ever after.

Enjoyed the story which had drama, family dynamics, passion, emotion, engaging writing, well crafted characters and was a dynamite of a read.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this book. I loved the banter between the characters from the start. What isn't to love about two strangers connecting on a flight and then watching that blossom between an almost plane crash and a reunion at the family estate. I enjoyed that both of these characters were very passionate about their jobs. Moreover, I was impressed at how these two needed each other to be reminded of why just having a job doesn't fill the void of needing love too. Especially, as both Brie and Alex had their reasons for not wanting to be vulnerable to love.

I would have liked a little more of how they transitioned into their relationship in the future. Even though the epilogue gave a view of what was going to happen 6 months in the future, I still wanted to see how these two managed to find that balance. That being said, this was a great addition to the Cocky World Club.

Alec is a British investment banker. His career is his everything. He has no time for woman/dating.

Brie is a ghostwriter in the United States. She is traveling to the UK for work to help a countess write a story. Having been married/divorced at an early age has left her not wanting to look for love or even a man. All she is focused on is her career. The only problem with her flying is she hates it and then to make matters worse she is seated next to Alec who is arrogant & cocky who makes fun of her choice in romance books. Soon though she is warming up to him during a rough flight. He is actually a good guy who helps her through it. Then these two find themselves sharing and night together.

I really enjoyed how Brie & Alec bound/connect during a rough airplane ride. These two both deserve some happiness in their life and something more than work and I think they both bring out their most endearing qualities. One of my favorites!

A first time experience of Lauren Smith and an addictive one of that, British Black Sheep is part of the Cocky Hero Series.

Arrogant rich British guy, Alec meets american ghost writer Brie. The sparks off these two are electrifying, I'm surprised it couldn't melt the snow in the Christmas setting of this book.

Spending a week together, when the push and pull is so intense is hell. Jobs beckoning between them both, can they pretend that no feelings are beginning to bubble to the surface?

With the with pasts of hurt and reasons beckoning, they both have never wanted to love again. Can these two break the ice freezing their hearts and learn that maybe love can come in the most of bizarre opportunities?

A book that pulls you in from the word go, and devours you page after page until you hit the end. Must read.
