There are some pretty weird grown-ups living in Bailey City. But could the mysterious man that the kids meet on a class trip really be the ghost of Coyote Pete, the toughest cowboy in the Wild West
Mrs. Jeepers' class is taking a trip to a pretend pioneer settlement in the wild wild west. But this settlement looks more like a ghost town. When a pale old cowboy shows up, the kids think he may be the ghost of an old bandit out for revenge.

The collection of "The adventures of the Bailey School Kids" stories are among my all-time favorite children's books. Witty, mischievous and fun, these short and silly books continue to bring giggles to the young and old. Just as I have enjoyed them as a kid, my own children also love them today. I even catch myself re-reading them (alone) from time to time. What can I say? I guess I'll always be a BSK kid at heart.
This book was about a wier man that actse like a ghost his name is Coyote pete.He tryis to find Blackhear Eddie. Coyote Pete likes the sound of a coyote in the night but, the kids thinks that he is a ghost. My opion of this book is great because is a mistery to solf. This book is fiction because is not real.
One of the creepier Bailey School Kids tales. The kids and their class visit an abandoned Wild West-style ghost town. A pale, ghostly-looking cowboy named Coyote Pete shows up to terrorize the town for brief periods and then disappears without a trace each time.
The artwork is good and does a fine job making Pete look terrifying and ghostly.
I think some of my favourite stories are ones that involve ghosts. This one had enough mystery and weirdness that it kept me on my toes. Even I wanted to find out who this weirdo was who seemed awfully close to that ghost they kids kept hearing about.
Plus, it wasn't JUST a ghost story, it was a wild west ghost story!
they went on a field trip. it was to a REAL ghost town. Boo!!! AHH!!! one of the workers was strange. his name was coyote pete. they thought he was a ghost.
