"The first time I met you... I knew that you were head over heels in love with me."
UGH, I hate that. It's posed as a romantic moment, but I just don't see it that way :/ I do like seeing them behaving more like a couple, but that line only romanticizes her feelings for Hanzo and not their shared feelings for each other. It's hard to believe that he actually loves her. I've seen way more strict and stoic love interests that show much more believable arcs of falling in love and showing affection and Hanzo just doesn't measure up.
I do really like Usagi being resourceful and clever, this series needs more of that.
Poor Usagi! The second half of this volume got a bit rough for her. Things get a bit more serious in this one, as the ninja prepare for an upcoming attack from Lord Nobunaga. It's still funny, with great characters and art though. Also, I love that Usagi and Hanzo's relationship is progressing! So cute. 4 stars.
Watching Hanzo get jealous of Ranmaru was adorable. Why is every guy so into Usagi though? I don't get his interest especially. Iga changes so much here. WOW! I don't always get the time changes. It takes 1/2 a day often to travel they say or 2 at most, yet weeks worth of changes happens all the time. And busted as another person! Usagi you have got to be more careful! She really works herself into a dicey situation!
Hanzo is angry with Usagi for meeting with Ranmaru after he told her not to. Goemon and Usagi work at a dumping shop together to be close to Nobunaga. Usagi gains entrance to Nobunaga's residence thanks to Ranmaru and even helps out Mitsuhide by giving him an herbal supplement for his fatigue and eyesight. Ranmaru figures out that Usagi is a ninja and Usagi drugs the tea to try to escape from Ranmaru.
