In the last few days, I've been watching YouTube videos compiling best lines from the TV show Community. Here's a book doing the same for Giant Days. I think I have a few Peanuts gift books in the basement along these lines. The pages alternate a short quote with a picture, and it takes about ten minutes to read.

It does make me want to go back and re-read the entire series, but I'm not sure anyone who hasn't read the books will get anything out of this as it seems too reliant on knowledge of the characters and context to be humorous or inspirational to the uninitiated.

I remember liking Giant Days but this book fell flat: the quotes, out of context, fell flat and I didn’t like the way the illustrations were edited to a monochrome and used here.

I love Giant Days and was so looking forward to this. This was such a disappointment.

- pictures were not full color

The Quotable Giant Days is a graphic novel perfect for anyone who finds themselves missing the series. I personally fall into that party, and thus found this collection of quotes to be little moments of sweet memories.

To be clear, this really is a collection of quotes, as the title promises. There's no new content, and many of the quotes are out of context. So it's not exactly ideal for new fans – but for fans that followed the whole series? This is perfection.

Esther, Susan, and Daisy are some of my favorite characters in the world of comics, and I've been lamenting their series end for a few months now. In a way, that made this volume bittersweet. It also made me want to go back and reread the series (again), so it is nice for more than one reason.

It's worth mentioning that the quotes put into this are pure gold. We're talking the best of the best, the funniest moments found throughout the series. So yeah, it's totally worth the read. It's sure to bring about some (much needed) laughter.

Fun for the reminiscing factor, but perhaps I'm the wrong audience for it being a collection of top inspirational quotes with non-corresponding graphics. I do want to reread the series now, though.

I haven't yet finished the main series but I wanted to check out this one as it looked like a cute read. It's a compilation of moments throughout the comic series featuring all the main characters. It gives a peek into the qualities that ultimately make up the heart of the series.

I liked that the character art style looked slightly different than what I see in the main series. Daisy's hair could be its own character sometimes!

I love this! It's just a tiny little book with some of the funniest quotes from the whole series paired with some new artwork, and it's so cute and lovely. The whole thing can be read in about ten minutes and is sure to put a smile on your face if you're a big fan of Giant Days like I am.

A ten-minute trot through memorable quotes and amusing dialogue from the excellent comic Giant Days. There are one or two quotes on each double-page spread. Not really sure what the point of it is, but completists will want to get it for the new illustrations that are included.

Recent Reads: The Quotable Giant Days. Wit and wisdom from John Allison's tale of student life. You never knew there as so much to learn at a British university. Or for that matter so much to laugh at. For fans of the comic, but suitable for new readers too.

Giant Days is probably my all time favorite comic series, and it was nice to revist some funny moments from the series, but overall this doesn't bring anything really new to the series. I think this would make a good coffee table book for guests to flip through and become intrigued enough to pick up the actual comics.
